In ondo state, the car is just getting popular and because of that, you will see its mostly young guys that drive that car. You Knw how it is with young people that car go still de shack them for head. Anything new or in Vogue is what they will use to impress and oppress.

Young people like speed and that route (ondo town to akure expressway) is very very tempting.

Driving there with a hilux is so sweet not to talk of with the Lexus IS.

I think it all boils down to the drivers and how they feel the Lexus is like a Ferrari in their sights. Lol.

The IS is a lovely car and fun to drive, trust me.

The ISF, hmmmm very very powerful. I think I've only seen one guy in Nigeria that actually owns one.

Ps.. I saw someone saying the IS is Awd, not all of them sir.

The above mentioned music reality show currently running on DSTV and GOTV platforms may likely be the "wackiest" (for want of words) music reality show in recent times going by the quality of opinions thus far by the jury, made up of a 3man panel of Obi Asika; a Record Label Exec, Seyi Shay; a perpetual upcoming artiste going by the unpopularity of most, if not all her songs and DJ Sose; who at best is skillful at selecting songs that'll mostly appeal to club audiences.

One would have thought the record label executive in the person of Asika, who ordinarily should have been exposed to artistes of various kinds, will as a father figure, be in full control of the selection process, by way of influencing the opinions of the others even though the antecedents of past judges on the show clearly sets a pace for divergence in opinions that in the end, engenders a robust decision for or against the candidates. This is terribly in deficit this time on the show, as as much as a snarl from the perpetual upcoming artiste is enough influence of the opinions of two supposedly mature and independently minded men. Sose even managed to take his obvious lack of knowledge of music and consequently, a lack of sound judgement to annoying levels by always concurring to whatever Seyi Shay breathes, despite his body language telling otherwise.

All of the above is obvious in the audition of the young music producer, whose image you'll find attached to this post. I can bet that IK, the show host was shell shocked that the young man had to be turned down for no reasonable point, except for displaying his musical dexterity. If that's a crime, then pray tell me what Idols is all about?

Absolutely! they even posted a crash test video without even analysing or showing a proof why the car is not safe...seems the Op expected the car to rebound without damage after the crash, he was shocked to see the car damaged. Funnily enough, in all his claims...he never said passengers died .

At least if you (Op) want to present an observation of this kind, make your presentation intelligently.

It's a bloody stupid thread. Try as much as you want, opinions have been formed and an agenda is being pushed. Even if you show them the picture of a totalled rolls royce wraith, the following won't change:
1. IS250 was poorly designed
2. The car cannot handle 300 horsepower
3. The car has 0 crash rating
4. It has poor driving dynamics
5. It can only be purchased by yahoo boys
6. All IS250 drivers are yahoo drivers who can't drive and it's their first car.
7. They all know better than Lexus.

I still applaud your efforts though.

OP, you get small point,most Lexus sedan accident I see the car is always a write off,there was one posted in nairaland that happened in ekpoma and the driver was a car dealer,he was driving an es330,omo when I see the car I shock.the car split and separate in multiple places,it was a total wreck.but I know lexus to be strong car,dnt knw why it's so mangled up easily.maybe na scrap Lexus dem dey ship come naija,maybe

That's an Acura but you can't compare since I'm sure you have no idea what happened to that car. That is probably an accident that involved a truck. I'm talking of lone accidents that still rendered IS250 useless.
Some months ago, some boys were driving fast at night in Ondo here. Some say they were being pursued by police, some said no one was chasing them but what I know is they crash the car into a pole and sent it tumbling a few times. That IS250 was moved to a dump site at the same location I visit when I want to repair my car. The vehicle is a write off. I looked closely and I can tell you, there is absolutely nothing that's still useful in that ride.
Before you ask, the boys didn't die but even till now, all three are still in the hospital with multiple broken bones.
Now another scenario, 4 boys, driving a benz, coming from Lagos. Met the accident along Benin road, car was hit by a truck from being and the force sent the car tumbling several times. I met the 4 boys there, looking at the damages on the car. They are fine. Yes the car took a hit everywhere but it stood and they could still get out.
