ATF drain and refill, tuning of throttle body to proper idle rev values from 2000rpm to ~750rpm

Acura mdx is not a nasty electrical car. If you were to buy the 07-date model, I'd had advice against the sports package cos it uses electro magnetic dampers which cost circa 800k a pair.
The Acura mdx is sporty and have tons of grip

It's NOT close to a Range. The Mercedes GL Wagon, G Wagon, ML, Porsche cayenne, Audi Q7 and Lexus LX are the closest to a Range.

Untrue. You CAN flip just about ANY car. Even Formula1 sports cars with their very low centre of gravity and huge fat tyres have been flipped severally. this is an SUV with Higher centre of gravity, and slimmer track compared to the Acura MDX.

Stop misleading folks.

run from MDX, has issues generally ask anybody who has used one

Lies and falacies.

Both are good and will serve well. Although, the MDX uses an on demand AWD system called VTM-4. It's basically a more dressed up Honda pilot, it's very durable and can seat 7 people in comfort.
None are true off-road vehicles, they handle similarly.
Go for any and you'd be okay

Unless you are really knowledgeable about the marquees or a mechanic who can personally handle a spanner with dexterity... I will advise you to avoid the following vehicles:

1. Peugeot 607 V6 plus automatic transmission. I won't explain.
2. BMW series whatever series either series a, series b to z. Especially automatic transmission models.
3. Landrover Freelander... Designed by the devil assembled by monkeys.. left factory for showroom with over 200 known faults... Avoid like leprosy!
4. Audi A4 Allroad... I will leave this for ~~kingreign~~...
5. Nigerian used Nissan Murano... With wires hanging out in the engine bay...in fact all Nissan cars with the slightest sign of abuse..
6. Add yours as led and experienced or known.

Land Rover in the rover range has always been the work horse. I have seen many land rovers queuing on bad road along with sedans when there was plenty off road space to explore. Just the users anyway, who just buy a luxury LR SUV without wanting to test the capabilities.

While testing the capabilities, and e make 'kpakam', you go understand how pocket unfriendly it is to the owner wink
