i know there is a v6, a tdi, a v8 and s/c v8 in their powertrain line up.

pulling is about torque, if a car has enough torque it can pull an A380 but it's the damage that it does that matters. It may pull an A380 but that porsche will have to be scraped, that truck cannot be rated to pull more than 5000kg. The strain of pulling such weight will have deformed the chassis and weakened the weld joints, though it wont be visible.


ofcourse if this was Nigeria, this car will end up at a dealers showroom and some unsuspecting buyer will be feeling cool owning a deathtrap.

its not cheap to purchase, not cheap to run and maintain, its got a big v8 motor and a supercharger blowing air into it for more power so you're getting a complicated engine, complex electronics, and its more than 2ton of curb mass so do not expect cheap gas cos it requires premium gasoline which is unavailable in Nigeria, octane boosters can be used yet its expensive and most products available in market are snake oils. Parts are expensive, failures are abound but not as woeful as its immediate past model.

You're only buying this truck cos you love it, and not for any other logical reason than the love for it and the luxury and brand loyalty.

I am not exaggerating as I spend roughly 10k weekly on just fuel for the car. I reside in asaba, and work at onitsha so have to do the Niger bridge twice daily coupled with the traffic.

Guys abeg I don tire. people way don use this car na so the car dey do abi na fake I buy. More importantly what can be done to reduce the fuel consumption of this car before I wake up one morning and set this mob ablaze.

Went to inspect a car some times back, inside Abuja hot scotching sun, I turned on the AC switch, Stayed for 5mins, no cooling, dealer was saying, bros, you know this ABUJA weather, until you drive the car for a while then the AC starts to cool. I popped hood, went to check compressor. Saw as the pipings had been cut and welded til it look like leprosy infested limbs. The magnetic clutch was not even picking up. I called the cow, to come see what he claimed is a tokunbo car, he said that was how he bought it. Unknown to him, I've copied the VIN, went to a VIO friend, who downloaded the details as a used car.

Heat can be prevented by use of plywood installed in vacuum or even having felts and polystyrene.

I was told I need to change the whole system. Previously, I refilled gas on many occasions, did the flushing, changed compressor, etc and it would work for a while and stop. Now they are saying I need to change the whole system at once.

Rather than waste hard earned cash, and you'd keep going round circles, why not locate a well tooled HVAC diagnostic centre, they run a proper scan, do proper diagnosis using modern tools, dyes and UV lights and et al, to run thru the whole system and do a neat job, so you'd have rest of mind?

I'm not into AC repairs.
