Lordguarp:
Hello guys...

My Toyota 2001 model (envelope) doesn't start on time. I have to crank it extensively a bit before it starts. My mechanic said the rear fuel pump wasn't functioning well & I replaced it, yet the problem still persists.

What do I do?

Check Coolant Temperature Sensor and also check your Crankshaft Position Sensor. Plus your Cam shaft sensor. By the way, did any mechanic open the engine recently?

Madam pattybf, do not taint your good reputation. Don't give into this OPs demand unless he is trained by a reputable FRSC driving school.

Piyke:
Although I saw that route on Google maps, don't know anyone that has used it. Have you?
I did use a bit of cruise control but I enjoyed stomping the pedal myself while on that clean stretch

Next time, stomp hard as soon as you pass the Lokoja bridge. wwhen you get tobyour comfortable speed, let the cruise control do its own. (Do not fall asleep or get distracted during this crucial time). cool

Good you made mention of the vehicles, I feel this thread when read with an open mind isn't about MPG or fuel economy but luxury/standard features installed in these cars plus their engine powers (HP).
Finally, not everyone wishes to drive an econobox, if you're looking for one, go buy a Nissan leaf, Honda fit, toyota yaris, toyota Prius or something in that region..
