Politics › Interesting Outlook From An Igbo Man I Saw On Facebook by kishimi8(op): 8:24pm On Jun 27, 2017 |
Some of us have forgotten this
part of history....
I had to share my friend- Peter's
ideology.
Let the truth be spoken , I rather
stand condemned!
1966, We the Igbos fired the first
shots that killed the northerners.
Remember Maj. Chukwuemeka
Kaduna Nzeogwu from Okpanam
Delta state and unfortunately
Delta people claim they are not
Igbos with passionate hatred.
During the war, the Yoruba
military field commanders
committed more atrocities and
genocide to the Igbos than their
Northern counterparts.
Adekunle (black scorpions) of
3rd marine killed and roasted
more Biafrans than Col. Murtala
Mohammed yet Yoruba
controlled media exonerated
Adekunle.
Obasanjo killed more Igbos than
Cpt. Ibrahim Babangida.
Babangida showed us love more
by marrying our sister Maryam.
Isiama Alabi and Akinrinade
killed more Igbos than Major
Shuwa and Bisalla put together
Gen Yakubu Gowon fed the
Biafrans well during the war but
Awolowo who was released by
our brother Ojukwu on the
grounds of mercy, took up
appointment with Gowon and
implemented the worst
genocidide in black Africa by
changing the biafran currency
and mass starvation of the Igbos
which led to the infamous
kwashiokor.
After the war, the northern
brothers gave us what was due
to us in rent collected from Igbo
houses in the north, they gave us
a place to live, they
accommodated the Igbos in their
domain and allowed us to start
life anew and have our Eze Ndi
Igbo in their North and we
practiced our religion
unhindered.
While Awolowo gave every Igbo
man 20 pounds irrespective of
your statutes, a further post war
genocide on the Igbos .
The North gave the Igbos all their
buildings and properties back
while Awolowo supported and
spearheaded abandoned
property scheme in the South
against the Igbos.
9 years after the war, the North
chose Alex Ekwueme, an Igbo to
be vice president to Alh. Shehu
Shagari against Awolowo, a pure
sign of Igbo integration in
Nigeria after 9 years of bitter
war, I salute the northerners.
In 1983 shortly after the return
of Ojukwu from exile which
amnesty was granted him by the
northern led government of Alh.
Shehu Shagari, the northern
party NPN gave Ojukwu a
senatorial ticket to contest for
election in Anambra state though
he lost to a fellow Igbo man.
Note: it was not the Northerners
that casted vote that made
Ojukwu lose that election but
fellow Igbos.
It was the warm relationship
between Babangida and Arthur
Nzeribe that brought about
today, June 12.
It was the same cordial and
warm relationship that brought
General Sani Abacha of blessed
memory, my Commander In Chief
(May God grant him peace and
paradise) and the likes of Daniel
Kanu and Arthur Eze together.
These relationships has brought
about more billionaires to the
Igbos than any other.
My question is, WHERE HAVE THE
NORTH OFFENDED THE IGBOS?
Don't you think there is a fifth
columnist in our midst? The hand
of Easu is throwing spanner in
the wheel of North and East
relationship .
Let us sit together as brothers
and settle this political
consternation gathering a storm.
Let the wanton killings and
threats to kill Igbos both in the
North and South West STOP NOW. |

Mathemagics: The glee that accompanied our selection as PTDF scholars was unfathomable, when we were called upon to attend the induction ceremony in July 2016. Following a successful induction program and series of documentations for both Local and Foreign Scholars in the MSc and PhD category respectively, we did hope to get our stipends sooner and commence/continue our respective graduate studies in our preferred Institutions. Sadly, after 340 days of the award not one of the Local scholars have received any form of payments from PTDF (be in form of tuition or other expense) as at this day. To worsen it all, while our colleagues who were awarded in the OSS category (Foreign Scholars) are almost wrapping up their postgraduate studies outside the country with their full stipend paid despite the high forex rates, we are still dwindling in the dungeons of despair, holding to a fading believe that “one day PTDF will pay”. In an attempt to convey our plight and egregious discourse to the PTDF management and well-meaning Nigerians, we wrote a letter to the board in the month of March, which was also published on various media. Stating the pathetic neglect of the Nigerian scholars by PTDF. Following that move, another documentation was conducted (the 4th documentation exercise), apparently raising valid grounds for us to question the record keeping ability of the board and the entire PTDF team. Notwithstanding, it has been three months since then and still no stipends, nor personal computers has been disbursed to any of the 2016 Local Scholars. Sad it is! The despicability of our situation have worsened to the state where our various institutions have pestered to the point of harassment, demanding for our tuitions be paid before allowing us take examinations, while for some their results are being seized pending when payments will be made by PTDF. Time will not suffice to begin to lament the missed opportunities or the unattainable heights in excellence and more robust results that would have been achieved in our thesis and projects had the resources (stipends and learning aid) been provided in due time. These opportunities and privileges we thought we've earned scholarly have been obviously denied us by the boards inefficiencies and lackadaisical attitude in handling the affairs of home grown scholars. Now, we are in a dire straight, we have been pushed to the wall, we have endured enough. We are now propelled to let out our grievances to the Presidency, we are enlivened to voice out our predicaments to all well-meaning Nigerians. Let all and sundry be aware of the unfair, inhumane and negligent manner in which the PTDF body has neglected the LSS scholars by denying the payment of our stipends after 11 months and 7 days of award. Is growing Nigerians in Nigeria not failing, if we continue to despise Local Scholars. Is capacity building and development in Nigeria not collapsing if we don’t value Education and trainings acquired in the country? Is it now a norm to always engage in protests before our voices be heard and get what we deserve in terms of Scholarship stipends? If we are to go by the statement made by the PTDF Executive Secretary, Dr. Bello Aliyu Gusau who openly retorted that “overseas scholarship scheme is not sustainable therefore they will put more efforts to sponsoring and developing local content”, we expect high priority and immediate response be given to Local Scholars. Otherwise we call such statement mere vocal ejaculations without fittings as the actions does not follow the paths of the words. However, if the statement remains true, we urge the board to pay our funds before the end of the month of June 2017. A disheartened LSS Scholar. Cc. Seun cc. Davide470 Cc. Lalasticlala Cc. Agriculture › Re: Why Tomatoes Are Always Expensive From May Till July And The Glut In August by kishimi8(m): 4:20am On Jun 09, 2017 |
babablogger: After Studying the Nigerian Vegetable(tomato) market for almost three years, i advice Nigerians in the south (south-west/south-east/south-south) to braze for impact, cause the price of tomato is about to skyrocket like never before.
Its obvious we depend on the north to provide us with most agric produce and the ones we produce in the south, cannot cover 1/4 of the market.
To the main reason why Tomato is expensive from End of May till July, the gluts that comes in august.
1) Why tomato is always expensive from the period may-July
As i stated earlier in my post, the north controls our stomach so from experience, and constant visit to the north especially areas
where tomatoes are farmed. I noticed when the rain is been expected almost everyone stops thinking about farming vegetables/tomatoes in
the north, they tend to focus more on cereals(maize, millet etc) which is less stressful, not knowing it will have a negative effect
on the market. Their belief is when its rainy season its time to plant maize which is also lucrative.
Tu ta-absoluta might also add as a catalyst to this but not withstanding even in the south we tend to farm other produce apart from veges during rainy season
(2) Glut in The Market By August
Well from my personal study when farmers, both professionals and newbies get to know price of tomatoes has gone up. They all sharpen their hoes and cutlasses, then decide to load the market with tomatoes which by the time of harvest probably 90days everyone is harvesting. When supply exceeds demands well all know the price will fall there is no magic to it. We all know how perishable tomato is with little shelve like everyone just wants to get it off their hands and so therefore they sell at funny prices baskets of tomatoes that costs 25,000 naira in June will go for 3,000 naira or less. So there is no magic to the whole tomato issue if you plant now cause the price is high by the time of harvest it will be otherwise.
In few weeks the price will go higher and we keep blaming the government for our plight, we can solve our problems ourselves so i believe we still have months ahead till the scarcity next year so as for this year BRAZE YOURSELVES. Correction bro . its not that we dont plant tomatoes during rainy season cuz of other cash crops tomatoes dont like too much water it kills the plant so it is planted mostly during the cold and dry times of the year , . |

The UN just needs a repeat of 1966 pogrom to force Referendum on Biafran soil i agree i am senseless. However what i have noticed is igbos are suddenly the advocates of bloodshed. Just like you for example. So you cant achieve your independence with out bloodshed. Me i tire for you people case sef. I really doubt you guys wanna leave nigeria, more like you guys want to keep crying victim. Anyway you guys wont get another chance better than this one given to you by the north again if you waste this one |

kc2hansome: we both know that's a big joke. infact those Hausa youths would be stopped by their elders. because if they try to enforce those things. then they've played right into the ipob script.
which would be wonderful. if they start killing in the north by October first, I put it to u that Biafra's independence date would be that October first.
so u see why Igbos in the forum are rejoicing!! it's "some Yorubas" that are carrying the mata for head like gala hawkers at cele - oshodi express.
Hausa made a comment to Igbos, Yoruba carry the comment for head.
I personally think that most moniker(both igbos SS and Yorubas) are really Hausa/Fulani. I've not experienced any heated argument between Igbos and Hausas on this forum. Or are u telling me they don't own phones
They keep playing this divide and rule thing. and most Yorubas always fall prey....
all we are saying is simple
FREE BIAFRA!!!!! unfortunately the number of hausa on this site is quite small. The few of us that frequent this site dont really waste time engaging in online debate as too many hate filled and frustrated people be commenting on things they know nothing about. So we just come here to read comments , read latest news and observe . However on this biafra issue, that we have decided to give you guys a helping hand since our elders are wasting time, i choose to comment just to allay the fears of ignorant people that think violence will be involved . We really hope you guys will take the initiative and start moving back to your region peacefully as it will really fast track the process of getting your country, at least we have facilitated you guys with valid excuse to use in getting it, what better excuse than saying you have been chased out of the north and no unity ? |
Politics › Re: Northern Youths Order Igbo Out Of Region by kishimi8(m): 12:28am On Jun 07, 2017 |
TheCabal: I am not shocked at this . I was privy to some information regarding the last presidential election. Several heavy weights from these regions did not care who the presidential candidate was in the APC as long as it was not in any way associated with the east.
The very thing that destroyed Jonathan. His romance with the South-East.. made him smell pungent in other regions.
The east is certainly at the disadvantage because the north is not bothered when a westerner rules the country. It is the east they will not tolerate, and it seems more regions are beggining to complain but the east has refused to look inward and ask themselves why so many ethnic groups resent them. Instead they delude themselves with their "development" theory.
They forget - if they are not there someone else will take up the space. true talk. I wonder if these people actually looked at the voting patterns from the last election. It actually tell alot. Funny thing is they think this ultimatum is a joke. I'm pretty sure the effects of this declaration will manifest sooner than they think. And actually noone will fight them as they are assuming in this faceless forum. They will get their country peacefully, |

positivetaught: I will urge these northern groups to think deeply before shooting themselves in the foot, the agitation by the IBO's can be settled easily by letting the IBO's assume leadership of this country a privilege they truly deserves they made costly mistakes In the past but so do all of us,it is clear that they have been marginalized over the years, the north should critically examined it's economic position in a divided Nigeria vis-à-vis their landlock location, you may seize IBO properties now but the effects of vengeance will be terrible, it is also fool hardy to assume that the northern Christian minorities believe in your phantom one north after all the massacres n clear pursuits of Islamic dominance, as a matter of fact this should be a wake up call to the northern minorities to begining to chart a course for their tomorrow, today n right now I'm calling on Benue, Taraba,Nasarawa,Adamawa,n Plateau States to start the process for the establishment of the FREE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF BERIVAREA(Benue river area) with capital in MAKURDI(due to it's distance away from arewa areas),all we need in this country is to accept n respect each other, let all of us feel n know that we all own this country if not then yes, let's go our separate ways,no body should be inferior to anybody we have seen enough, we have had enough, enough is enough. bro how taraba adamawa and nassarawa wan take leave north?. Only benue and some parts of plateau i fit agree . Fact is as long as south west and north are still comfortable with each other south east will be the biggest loser if it leaves. And i pray they do leave soon. Cuz contrary to what you guys think we northerner in general benue and plateau inclusive dont want you guys around |

Well it seems like its time for me to comment,
Some may say it is a bluff, i can assure all da igbos it is not, they call us parasites, terrorists etc. we dont talk , what they forget is that only about 2% of the northerners enjoy their soo called oil money, the sentiment on the streets of northern nigeria for years is let the igbos go ! the only thing holding the separation are some desparate looters of the oil wealth, however the insults, name calling etc has finally creeped down to the lowest level in da streets ! At least 3 months is enough time for the igbos to set their affairs in order before vacating the north , at least they can now have their biafra in peace. okechukwu , efobi, mgba george i go miss una sha, but i really believe its time to leave. ! ! Inshaallahu zero blood will be shed in this process, really happy, at least the insults will reduce . |
