TEYA: Any president that makes a move to fire a nuclear weapon on another country is a lunatic. Not even Kim of north Korea thinks along that line. Trump os a lunatic. Rubbish, everyone just wants to bash Trump. Deep down they all know he is doing the right things. He understands nuclear weapons and would never try to use it unless there is a DIRECT nuclear threat against USA and BY LAW HE IS MANDATED TO USE IT. BESIDES THERE IS AN ESTABLISHED NUCLEAR FIRST STRIKE DOCTRINE AS WELL AS NUCLEAR RESPONSE PROCEDURE IN PLACE. America's nuclear response is really not about the US president's wish or desire. There are rules of engagement from the very top to bottom. Make una allow Trump abeg. Imagine if Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas have nuclear bombs what do you think would happen. Please drop all this defeatist leftist mindset. |

But 200 IDF Jets have been going in and out of Iran airspace without restriction. Iran air force destroyed, what are missiles without missile launchers. Iran has been exposed as not really that strong. I wonder why Israel has not started using its own missiles uunwanaobong3: EVEN TILL THE VERY LAST MOMENT OF THE CEASEFIRE, IRAN WAS STILL HITTING ISREAL INTO SUBMISSION. AND THEY ALSO DEMONSTRATE THEIR CAPACITY TO HIT AMERICAN BASES ACROSS MIDDLE EAST.
ISREAL WAS BEGGING IRAN FOR CEASEFIRE THROUGH OMAN AND QATAR. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ISREAL HAS BEEN HIT BACK HARD IN THEIR VARIOUS WARS ACROSS MIDDLE EAST.
THE AIM OF THIS WAR WAS REGIME CHANGE AND IT HAS FAILED SPECTACULARLY, UP TILL NOW IRAN IS STILL FIRING MISSILES AT ISREAL.
IRAN CAN ABSORBED DEVASTATION FROM ISREAL, BECAUSE IRAN IS 20X THE SIZE OF ISREAL AND IRAN HAS EXPERIENCE WAR PREVIOUSLY WITH IRAQ, BUT ISREAL CAN NOT ABSORB DEVASTATION FROM IRAN AS IT IS A SMALL DENSED COUNTRY AND HAVE ALREADY DEPLETED THEIR AIR DEFENSES.
NEVER START WAR WITH A COUNTRY THAT YOU CAN'T WIN, ALWAYS DEPENDING ON AMERICA TO HELP YOU ALL THE TIME IS NOT A STRATEGY. MIND YOU, IRAN DID NOT NEED THE HELP OF THEIR ALLIES RUSSIA AND CHINA TO REPEL ISREAL AND AMERICA, THEY FOUGHT THE WAR ALONE.
AS FOR THE NUCLEAR PROGRAM AND MISSILES STOCKPILE THE ISREAL SEEKS TO DESTROY, THE WHOLE OPERATIONS HAS FAILED. IRAN STILL MAINTAIN THEIR HUGE STOCKPILE OF MISSILES AND STILL HITTING ISREAL AS I TYPED THIS. THE ENRICHED URANIUM WAS EVACUATED INTO A SECRET SAFE LOCATION BEFORE AMERICA AND ISREAL ATTACK, IRAN HAS ALSO TERMINATE THEIR CONTRACT WITH IAEA MEANING IRAN CAN BUILD THEIR NUKES IN SECRECY WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF USA OR ISREAL. SO THE AIM OF THE WAR WAS NOT ACHIEVE.
IRAN WILL NOW GO BACK AND REBUILD A STRONGER DEFENSES AND DETERRENTS AND A STRONGER AXIS OF RESISTANCE.
ISREAL WENT INTO THIS WAR WITHOUT ADEQUATE PLANNING AND STRATEGY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT ACHIEVE ANYTHING.
IRANIAN REGIME IS STILL INTACT, THE SUPREME LEADER IS STILL ALIVE. THE FEW GENERALS AND SCIENTIST KILLED CAN BE REPLACED. ISREAL CITIES HAS BEEN DESTROYED, ISREAL ECONOMY IS IN RUINS ALL BECAUSE OF A GENOCIDAL PRESIDENT. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Netanyahu’s Ceasefire: A Tactical Surrender as Israel’s Global Support Crumbles by klarry79: 8:50pm On Nov 30, 2024 |
Write-up is a complete JOKE malali: Israel’s recent ceasefire may appear to be a gesture of peace, but in reality, it underscores the increasing fragility of its position. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, already on shaky ground, has been forced into this decision by a combination of military, political, and international pressures. Let’s unpack why this isn’t about “peace” but about survival in the face of escalating failures.
1. The Military Reality: Fighting on Multiple Fronts
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have been stretched thin. While hammering Gaza with relentless airstrikes and ground incursions, they’ve faced a formidable challenge from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah’s precision-guided missiles and well-coordinated operations have proved more than a nuisance, diverting resources and causing unexpected losses. Israel’s security narrative, which promised overwhelming dominance, began to crumble as its military showed signs of vulnerability.
Moreover, even within Israel, dissent brewed among the ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews, who refused to enlist. This created manpower shortages, forcing women to serve in frontline roles — a stark contrast to the nation’s historic reliance on a highly trained, all-volunteer force.
2. Netanyahu’s Diminished Popularity
Netanyahu’s reputation has been on a steady decline since October 7, when his government failed to anticipate and prevent the brutal Hamas attack. His hardline stance, once a rallying point, now alienates both domestic and international allies. The Israeli public, especially bereaved families, have turned their ire toward him, questioning his leadership and decision-making.
Internationally, Netanyahu is losing ground. Europe, once a staunch ally, is increasingly critical of Israel’s actions. Even the election of a pro-Russian, far-right leader in Romania signals shifting tides in European politics. The implication? Europe’s patience with Israel’s aggressive tactics is running thin, and Netanyahu’s government can no longer count on unconditional support.
3. The Gaza Genocide and Global Outrage
The world isn’t blind. The ongoing bombardment and blockade of Gaza have been labeled as genocide by activists, journalists, and even some political leaders. Images of bombed-out hospitals, dead children, and displaced families have fueled a public relations disaster for Israel. Calls for Netanyahu’s arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC) are not just symbolic—they signal the growing isolation of Israel on the global stage.
The United States, Israel’s closest ally, has also been treading carefully. Former President Donald Trump, potentially a returning power broker, would likely prefer not to inherit the mess of a Gaza war. His aversion to being associated with mass civilian casualties might have added quiet pressure on Netanyahu to “round it up.”
4. The Illusion of a Ceasefire for “Peace”
The ceasefire isn’t about peace—it’s about damage control. Israel’s actions in Gaza haven’t ceased despite global pleas. This selective ceasefire is a tactic to buy time, regroup, and stave off growing international criticism. For Netanyahu, it’s also a way to cling to power, even as his approval ratings nosedive.
5. A Strategic Misstep?
Netanyahu’s brinkmanship is backfiring. His insistence on continuing the Gaza offensive, while placating international critics with a ceasefire elsewhere, exposes a double standard. It’s a desperate attempt to maintain control in an increasingly untenable situation. Far from showcasing strength, it highlights his political and strategic weaknesses.
Israel’s ceasefire is not a victory for peace but a retreat in the face of mounting military and political losses. Netanyahu’s credibility is in freefall, both at home and abroad. He has not been able to secure the release of the hostages and the is causing more hatred for the Jewish people all over the world. A lot of Isrealis do not support Netenyahu, and now even the world is turning against him with over 133 countries saying they will arrest Netenyahu and comply with the ICC court order to arrest him on sight. The world has seen through the rhetoric, recognizing the human cost of his policies. For many, this ceasefire is too little, too late—a hollow gesture from a leader whose time is running out. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Putin Addresses Nations And Warns West With New 'oreshnik' Missiles by klarry79: 6:48pm On Nov 22, 2024 |
Putin is well-known for nuclear saber-rattling. At least not against a country that has actually USED IT IN COMBAT.
Why make threats against a coalition of countries who are extremely capable of doing considerable damage to Russia individually.
If anything, Putin/Russia has not really provided a viable alternative to western global economic and miliary influence. Instead, they form what looks more like rogue alliances - look at how Israel for example has decimated Lebanon and put Iran in its place. yet the backing they thought they had from Russia was of no effect.
The invasion of Ukraine was the final bait that in my opinion they west needed to entangle Russia with a war it cannot really win convincingly, and it cannot back out from. They won't let go of this stranglehold and it would be an issue for Russia long after Putin is gone. The west could not deal with 2 unfriendly superpowers at the same time. Trust the Chinese to apply the old wisdom not to invade Taiwan 'till the time is right'. Russia fell for it.
Russia did not want NATO near yet Sweden, Finland have joined NATO and have borders stretching over 1000km with Russia. Infact Putin should be given the man of the year award (2022 - Date) for helping NATO find its rhythm and purpose and also helping NATO expand.
Hypersonic missiles...? please ......... when US says they are struggling with some technology that their rivals are showing off with I take it with a pinch of salt. Please note that the US built and retired the following: - Noth American X - 15 Hypersonic Jet - Mach 6.7 (Retired: 1968) - same technology for hypersonic missiles - SR-71 Blackbird Mach 3.3 (Retired: 1990) - reconnaissance missions replaced by satellites - 100% spy mission success rate even over Russian, North Korean, Middle East territories - NASA X-43A Mach 9.6 (Retired: 2004) - same technology for hypersonic missiles
All these indicate that the US military has moved beyond this realm and have even gone commercial with some of these technologies. Instead, they focus on forward military projections with submarines that no one knows where they are at any point in time with capabilities to reset the earth many times over.
Putin knows one nuclear launch from it changes everything and he would have no control of how things go. He has far more to lose |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Why The US/NATO Could Never Win And Will Never Fight A War Against Russia by klarry79: 6:49am On Jul 03, 2022 |
As much as Russia has a formidable military strength, we needs to understand that a war with NATO will not favour Russia. It's a war against many countries that have very Capable Armed forces. Even Sweden and Finland joining are bringing some value to the table. Russia fighting on multiple fronts well..... note that even the IndoAsian strength is coming in India, S.Korea, Australia and Jàpan ...these are not toy armed forces with very sophisticated systems.
In my view Russia has allowed itself to be baited into a war it should not have entered into and PUTIN of all people should have learnt from the fall of the Soviet Union. The West did not succeed in the collapse of Soviet by tanks a d guns but by penetration of western influence. It is a lot worse now since Russia is also a global player in the scheme of things doing business with the West and enjoying the luxury and lifestyle it offers. These sanctions are the Wests foothold and they won't let go. Even though Russia is minimising or mitigating against it now, the fact that it's in place is already a minus for Russia. It is a noose around their neck.
The strength of the West is long term staying power in whatever strategy they choose to deploy. Let's see how they fair in 20years time. Also Russian strength as currently configured seems to be flouted around Putin's personality. The man is 70yrs old so waiting a few more years is nothing to the West. They probably have planned fnejr post Putin program and it's the Russian people that would be left to cope. Even Zelensky mentioned that Ukrain would continue to exist well after Putin.
When Nato and US Secret says the objective is to weaken Russia (Not Putin) that tells me they have counted their cost and done their homework so they can now boast of supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes. That means Russia will be quite busy for sometime... again it's the long term strategy at play to wear the Russians out.
TBH, Russia has not shown the nerve jangling awe the world had perceived them to have in Ukraine and no matter how formidable they claim to be, they can be engaged with some level of confidence.
With 800 military bases around them alonside several capable armed forces they may just want to think twice about an all out war with NATO. And the bases are tactical so the strength of the US forward posture is not diluted in anyway. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: US Hypersonic Missile Fails In Test Yet Again by klarry79: 9:02pm On Jun 30, 2022 |
Discombulator: MOTHER RUSSIA has already used hypersonic missiles multiple times in Ukraine and china has carried out numerous successful target strike too,so as North Korea.
So why is USA failing in it'd bid to build their own USA failing to build ke? You may want to research the SR-71 Blackbird. It was built in the 50s 60s operated over 30 years and retired in 1999. Hypersonic speed is not a technology unachievable to USA. All their space rockets reach hypersonic speeds and beyond. They may require specific functionalities that may fail under those extreme conditions and won't stop till it's right. While Russia and China were still marveling at aircraft's the SR-71 had attained and still is the fastest aircraft ever flown. |

tonididdy: What nuclear umbrella? No anti-nuclear missiles exist, no this and no peace. Putin has toys that can get to Washington in 15mins from Moscow. It's all over the news. In this case, military bases are pointless.
My original post you quoted, is the reason nato will never dare to use nukes on moscow. Those nukes are for simp countries that do no have nukes. If you wanna see a 3rd nuclear bomb experience, ask zelensky to drop a bullet into Moscow. 1. Nuclear umbrella refers to protection if non nuclear states by those who have nuclear e.g. US covers S.Korea, Japan with their own nukes ok n the agreement that they won't produce theirs. 2. U.S has been working on hypersonic planes and missiles since the 60s. Search Boeing X-51 @ Mach5 3. Putin's toys are no match for the Western toys. Sweden, Finland, UK France have formidable military capabilities far superior to Ukraine. Putin will think very well before any action. |

Please let's be clear. NATO was set up against this kind of rhetoric. Besides the performance of the Russian military has further demistify them. They are not 10feet talk. IF IT COMES TO NUKES UNDERSTAND RUSSIA IS AT A SERIOUS DISADVANTAGE. NOT IN TERMS OF NUMBER OF WARHEADS OR SPEED OF ROCKETS BUT IN STRATEGIC POSITIONING OF ARSENALS. PUTIN UNDERSTANDS THIS AND HIS BIGGEST WIN WILL NOT BE IN DEFEATING UKRAINE BUT GETTING THE WEST TO PULL BACK ON THEIR POSITIONING. USA alone has over 800 military bases around the world. How about alliances, nuclear umbrellas for other countries. EU, etc. And Russia may want to learn a thing or two about extreme provocation from a country THAT has fired not one but TWO nuclear bombs before. If provoked enough. NATO WILL USE THEIR NUKES AND RUSSIA WILL REMAIN AT A SERIOUS DISADVANTAGE Russia has shown so much weakness they are screaming nuclear all over the place. Countries with nukes are QUIET and watchful. tonididdy: NaTo countries love their lands so much, they love how far they have come in infrastructural civilization.

If they had signed instead of vocally agreeing that NATO won’t expand, this mess would have been avoided. The West are bunch of liars and manipulators. And will do blatantly anything to sabotage Russia. Just carpet bomb these bastards to the oblivion. Even Kadyrov warned about this.
We see gory videos of Ukrainians on POWs. The more Russia delays, the more weapons will be funneled into Ukraine. I totally agree that Russia has simply showed very poor strategic capacity in all of this and it speaks to the calibre of thinking that surrounds Putin who himself has effectively demystified the Russian power and himself. The Western media,.... Well Putin has given them long term fodder for news even the struggling ones like CNN have a new lease on life. Now Russia is in for a long hard future. I believe the western long play is to squeeze the Russian people into an uprising. It has happened before at the Soviet collapse and this time it will be worse. Note I say the long play.
