This days i can't just post a comment without being banned, i was banned twice in this last couple of weeks just cuz i made a divergent comment from what the mods want to see or hear.

Someone needs to investigate a link between some of the mods on nairaland, the present government and the tendencies to ban those who post divergent views. Why not? There seems to be at least an anecdotal correlation and certainly a lot of other stupid stuff has been studied.

Our problem in this country is due to a faulty political structure that was set up by winners of the civil war in collaboration with the UK to exploit the resources of the country for personal benefit. Imagine running down every industry in the country, because some feel it is easier to make a sloven billion or two from the oil in the Niger Delta to live a life of sleaze and extortion enforced with state terror. They grab you by the balls and the nation by the jugular; they actively work to entrench chaos, because the ability to organise is the ability develop and the ability to resist.

In a normal country, no one would even dream to exist as an evil parasite on their own people. For this, we blame Lugard, an evil being who brought strange bed fellows together for reasons of extortion, without as much as getting them to sign a contract of belonging.

The solution to all of this is true Federalism or in the worst case scenario a breakup of this contraption.

Earlier this week, President Buhari made 6 appointments in parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture headed by Lai Mohammed.

Out of the 6 appointments, 4 were from the North, 2 from South (1 South West, 1 South East), but that is not the essence of this post tonight.

A little research show the newly appointed DG of NTA was actually called out of retirement to head NTA. The 3 most senior directors in the NTA are all Southerners (who don't "merit" the office), so the President went to bring a retired Northerner.

The 3 most senior directors are;
- Philip Ozoegbu (Ag DG)
- Sola Atere (Executive Director, News)
- Eugenia Abu (Executive Director, Programmes)

Recall that President Buhari called the present DG of DSS out of retirement and also brought a retired army officer to head Nigerian Customs. In all 3 cases, the next in line were all members of the 5% constituency.

Truly, Buhari knew exactly what he was saying when he made mention of 97% (North) and 5% (South).

And we are not cowards; you can not STOP the amnesty given to repentant Niger Delta militants by your predecessors and START an amnesty programme for your Fulani terrorists (Bokoharam) with the money from our crude oil.
