U want to know the techniques to feeding broilers to grow faster and heavier at reduced costs?
The answer is not in any book o! It comes by experience known as street knowledge.
Without knowing the street knowledge feeding techniques, go feed them all day and all night with factory feeds like Boar Feeds and provide water all day and night + light at night to enable them feed. This is the method is available in the poultry books.
Then expect that the market price will be attractive enough to cover the cost of feeding and reasonable profit. Factory feeds are costly and the costliest of the 3 feeding methods ie Factory, Self milling & Street Knowledge.
Or feed them with self-milled feed produced by yourself which could be cheaper than buying factory feeds. self milled feeds are usually cheaper but depending on several factors.
The street knowledge feeding technique is the best and the cheapest but no farmer will open up on a public forum,what gives them a comparative advantage over others.

There are effective ways to manage chicken waste even in a home backyard chicken farm

You should have created a pit or gutter under the battery cages where the chicken droppings will be accumulating and a chemical poured on it.
The details of the gutter measurements are in one of the posts in the 1st signature and one of the bonuses attached to the reports.
You could have also dug a pit about 30 feet depth outside the chicken pen where the chicken waste will be flushed into.
Someone suggested larvacide. Yes it works well to an extent. Larvacide is added to the feed and serves to keep flies away from the chicken waste and suppresses the maggots. That way it takes longer for the waste to smell but it will surely smell later.
Meanwhile,You should get cleaners to evacuate the waste every 3 days.If you have been doing this, no one would have noticed any odour in the environment.

Broilers can be sold at 7 weeks old for about N1000.00
Cockerels are also for meat production but costlier to rear than broilers
Takes much longer to rear cockerels to maturity than broilers
Broilers sell at higher prices than cockerels
