fetcher36: ✓ Hello everyone. Please I need your comments on this issue: Is family planning sin against the Creator? Also, is pouring away your sperm instead of into the woman sin against the Lord our God? Genesis 38:9-10 "And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also". Did Onan say anywhere in there that this family planning was his goa and the contract he entered into with the womanl? He took his brother's wife in contract to have a child with her in his dead brother's place. if he was not interested in having a child at all, he could have maybe passed the woman on to another relative. But no, he used her for his own pleasure and you conveniently suggest it was family planning...how? |

Earthscience: ■ Why are bulk of the workers in this category more migrants not indigenes? That is her point!!! Demand? That is the simple answer! There is a higher demand for foreign workers in that sector. That more than explains why there are more immigrant workers in the area. The same can be observed in the food service industry as well. More migrant workers are working at fast-food joints, etc. because there is a higher demand in that area as well than in other areas. |

Would they not have to look inward or are they going to resort to abducting people from their ancestral lands as they did in the days of old? Discernment. Something keeps not adding up as far as the questions you ask. ►You carelessly assume that the country, when looking outside for workers, is not equally making sure the same positions are left open to those within who would decide to go into the same fields. ►You carelessly assume that the country is not at the same time working to provide incentives and bonuses to local skilled workers who would choose to fill the opportunities. ►You carelessly assume that the country somehow prefers to have foreign workers fill those positions than local workers. Do some of your own research into these things abeg, and not parrot claims made by ignorant politicians.

Esinwaju: ■ What then would have become of them in a world where there was no such thing as Japa? A world where most countries were economically decent enough not to warrant mass exodus of their citizens? ■ Are you saying the UK, US and the rest of them will not be able to look inward enough to fill those gaps? How come they are able to fill up in other sectors as much as they can but not that particular sector by looking inward? Discernment. 1. Do you know that as we speak, to, in fact, build the Nigerian health system so that it compares in some way to that obtainable in developed countries, Nigeria would likely need about 1 million Certified Nursing assistants(CNAs), 400,000 Registered Nurses(RNs), and probably about 200,000 Doctors and other medical professionals? If that time should arrive and the country were to find it didn't have enough skilled workers locally, don't you think the government would probably look outside of its borders at that point? So, I am still not sure what it is you are busy imagining there. 2. Jobs are occupied by those who have the skills for the positions, right? If the country does not have enough skilled workers in any particular sector, it looks elsewhere for the workers it needs. it is as simple as that. Denigrating the workers who work these jobs no matter how low you may think them in order to score political points is uncalled for abeg. |

guobe: ■ It's now like a virus in our country seeing young vibrant men belonging to different confraternity. In life they are confused as immediately they join these confraternity, they become haunted by the rival confraternity. Their parents will use their hard earned money to train them and send them to higher institutions and you see them belonging to cult groups immediately they enter the university and be shooting gun up and down. If you like shooting gun why don't you join the police force or the Army. There was a case of an only child to a deaconess who entered a private University and became the number one cult leader. He was eventually gunned down in his final year putting his parents in severe pain . After all these confusion exhibited by most young men when alive, they still continue with the confusion when they eventually die as when they are being layed to rest and the pastor praying for God to accept their soul, you now see their fellow members shooting guns and chanting doing their cult processions. So when they are alive and in death ,there is confusion everywhere . Imagine what the pastor will be feeling that someone he just prayed for that God should accept his soul now have his fellow members doing their own thing in death. The entire neighbourhood too now sees who you are in death. It is really heartbreaking how most young men have chosen to live their life. Truly we have a merciful God. See this religiously confused being pretending he is not himself as confused as those he accuses? So, because an individual likes shooting guns, he or she automagically becomes a good fit for the armed forces? And this in a country where your army officers are no different from serial killers? Esinwaju: ■ Isn't it ironic that the so-called CNA happens to be the place with the most openings despite the good pay and opportunities? How come it happens not to be as occupied as the rest of the sectors? ■ Why are the citizens not taking up that particular job as much as the immigrants or are they being paid with a different pound sterling? Coincidence? ■ You think Kemi is dull enough to open her mouth without knowing what she is saying, to the intended audience(policy makers)? This is a woman who has risen through the ranks. Those who are discerning enough knows what she is talking about. 1. Ironic? Are you shitting me? You think the growing need of an aging population coupled with that of the many sick in our systems — people now live longer than before—can be reasonably classified as ironic? 2. If citizens do not take up positions in the UK, it simply means opportunities for immigrants. In the U.S.A., many citizens work these jobs — some for decades — and are confident in their abilities to care for the sick. But the numbers of old, sick, and infirmed continue to rise each year leading to the need to look outside of the U.S.A. if necessary to fill these needs. What in the world is wrong with that for Pete's sake? 3. I don't know her nor have I heard her before now. But what I know is for sure that the reference she used was simply uncalled for. |

Politics › Re: FG Moves To Reduce Hunger Among Nigerians, Set To Sell Affordable Rice In States by Kobojunkie: 7:38pm On Oct 02, 2024 |
Wisdomkosi: The Federal Government has made moves towards reducing hunger among Nigerians with the expansion of its subsidized rice program to Lagos, Kano, and Borno states. The initiative aims to provide relief to citizens amid soaring market prices. The government is providing 30,000 metric tonnes of rice, equivalent to approximately 1,000 trucks carrying 600 bags each, at a subsidized price of N40,000 per 50kg bag. This is lower than the current market price of N90,000 to N100,000 per 50kg bag. Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, announced the launch of the subsidized rice program in Abuja early in September. “This initiative is part of our broader strategy to ensure that no Nigerian goes to bed hungry,” Kyari stated. According to an agriculture ministry official, sales will commence in Lagos and Kano states shortly, with Borno State to follow. “As I speak with you now, we are going to activate Lagos and Kano states for the sales any moment from now. Borno State is also going to be addressed,” the official said. Na every month this man dey reboot this scam, abi wetin? Politics › Re: Kemi Badenoch Mocks Migrant Workers, Describes Them As “Bottom Wipers” (Video) by Kobojunkie: 7:26pm On Oct 02, 2024 |
Esinwaju: ■ What she is saying is that the same opportunities that avail with the CNA should also avail with other sectors. People have had to train to be CNA's just for the purpose of Japa. Not because they would normally want to be CNA's but because the pay is good and the opportunities that come with it. Kemi wants it to be so across board and not just with the CNA thing. She is covering a broader perspective of the subject. You are only fixated on what you want to be fixated upon. Again, the country hires those who are trained as CNAs from other countries when it is unable to fill its need for CNAs from within, right? In the same way it equally invites other professionals for various other positions when they find it has needs that cannot be filled locally— I read somewhere that a significant number of doctors in the UK are Nigerian-trained. The same UK also hires IT professionals, accountants, and even Lawyers trained in other countries including Nigeria. It is all based on needs— no nation would sensibly embark on hiring and importing workers it has no real need for. So, again your question — can everybody become a Certified Nursing Assistant?— still does not compute at all. I am not in any way fixated, but trying desperately to understand why you think that arguing that she is speaking broadly somehow resolves her use of the term bottom-wipers about immigrant workers who work as CNAs. |

Esinwaju: ■ What she did was put a mirror to the mind of the policy makers, making you see the reflection which is what goes on in their heads. ■ She's letting you know that immigrants aren't highly thought of by the policy makers and that has to change. Mirror? Reflection? Where? 2. Assuming what you claim is in fact what she intended, she could have done that more effectively without resorting to using such a derogatory reference! There are immigrant doctors, IT professionals, Engineers, etc., in that same country. Why reduce them all by referring to them as bottom wipers? |
