■ Clearly you're just looking for an argument! To qualify for medicaid, it is not just about how much you make but the frequency of your pay and the hours you work. If your $1000 a month is not regular then that can get you qualified as opposed to someone making the same amount but is regular and fulltime. This is simple enough and not worth arguing! I spent years auditing the state of georgia so i have some knowledge about the process.
■ Next, the average American does not have two roommates
■ and spending $100 a month on food/groceries is a flat out lie unless you have other things compensating like family, donors etc. What the hell do you mean by getting it from the pantry? You dey whine me ni? grin grin
This is why I said your situation is not representing the average American, please when arguing or trying to make a point be mindful not to use your own extreme experience to claim a norm, try to view things from the general populace perspective!
1. I have been on Medicaid since about the time when Trump was still President, so I am not sure what it is you are trying to argue with me for at this point. 🤔

2. Average Americans learn to cut their coat according to their size. If they need to find roommates to meet their goals, they do it. So I am not certain why you are attempting to raise some sort of template against me on how an average American can or cannot act here. 🤔

3. This question in red leads me to believe you don't even live in the U.S., do you? No, I don't have any sponsors, donors, or anything. Rather, as I said, I pick up supplies weekly from the pantry, which is more than enough for me to live off. grin

4. At this point it is clear that you have no clues as far as the situations of those who in fact live and exist on minimum wage(or less) here in the U.S.A. That you even claimed you spent years auditing the State of Georgia, yet with no clue of the pantry I speak of, leaves me wondering if you have ever in fact been in the U.S. of A. grin

yes some1 earning minimum wages who does not have any other responsibilities, or some1 who is still leaving with his parents can actually save up all his money and get a car.. and also continue saving up to maintain the car.
Anyone can do it is the simple fact here! No need for the overcomplication of that which is simple. undecided

■ Una funny for this app, what year was this and you already disqualified yourself from the discussion as you're not a full time minimum wage worker.
■ Even with your income I don't know how you qualified for Medicaid for years but things have changed now, annual recertification is now a thing especially here in Georgia.
■ Food $100 a month, na Ramen Noodles you dey chop? grin grin grin
■ Please when analyzing issues like this let's think of the average person not just you......The average American spends at least $250 on food and groceries every month nowadays, the avergae American with a fiull time job spends at least $200 on health insurance.....If you figured out a way to crack the system good for you but that's not the norm!
1. What has full-time got to do with anything when I could only work the available hours so I considered myself part-time. I just laid bare my situation yet all you have are excuses to trade? What is this? undecided

2. I meant Medicaid, not Medicare. All you need do is apply and once you are qualified for it by the state in which you live, there is no need to ask meaningless questions. It does not matter whether you work full-time or part-time. Once the state qualifies you, you have it. undecided

3. Does it matter what I eat so long as I eat and I am good? undecided

4. I just gave you a rundown of my monthly bill and income which is far less than the $1200 ballpark you were expecting. Why am I not to be considered an average American undecided?

■ Both Saudi and the USA have their own refineries o, not one not two but many yet we want to compare to them. Also do you know how much those governments subsidize petrol for their citizens?
Finally, what business does a minimum wage earner have with buying fuel? The lowest earners in the USA are either getting on a bus/train or taking a loan to afford a car. The minimum wage earner in the USA go still pay 25% tax from that $1200, him go still pay minimum $500 as rent, him go pay cell phone, health insurance and other utility bills. Oh let's forget e go cost brother man or sister, at least $200 to eat for the month, wetin remain?
If such a person has more than $100 to spend on petrol per month just know say na JUJU grin grin
Let me give you a rundown of how I spent my less than minimum wage money. At the time, I was earning about $11/hour at this sitter job that I did for the heck of it. I barely made $1000 each month by the way since it was more of a part-time gig too. cool

► Apartment rental(living with two roommates at that time) ——————————————$300 each month(utilities included)
► Fuel for an old Honda 2006 model ————— — —————————————————— $120 each month
► Food cost(I got most of the supply from the pantry every week) ——————————— $100 a month
► Health Insurance(Medicaid) ————————————————————————————Free
► Phone bill-————————————————————————————————————$30 a month
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Total monthly cost is ——————————————————————————————— $550

P.S. The above is not Juju. it is actually how I lived for a time in recent years. I saved up quite a bit by the end of that year too. This is in the U.S. by the way. undecided

In a groundbreaking move aimed at transforming the relationship between citizens and their government, a group of concerned individuals has officially launched the initiative Mobikita; I CARE, seeking to bridge the longstanding communication gap that has hindered effective governance in Nigeria. The name “Mobikita,” meaning “I care” in Yoruba, embodies the initiative's mission to make government policies and programs understandable and accessible, particularly for those at the grassroots level.

What’s in one barrel of oil?
Today’s infographic comes from JWN Energy, an oil and gas news site. Using Chevron as a source, it shows 17 different things that can be made from each barrel of oil.

Here is everything that can be made from just one barrel of oil:
► Enough gasoline to drive a medium-sized car over 450km (280 miles).
► Enough distillate fuel to drive a large truck for almost 65km (40 miles). If jet fuel fraction is included, that same truck can run nearly 80km (50 miles).
► Nearly 70 kWh of electricity at a power plant generated by residual fuel.
► About 1.8 kg (4 lbs) of charcoal briquettes.
► Enough propane to fill 12 small (14.1 ounce) cylinders for home, camping or workshop use.
► Asphalt to make about 3.8 L (one gallon) of tar for patching roofs or streets.
► Lubricants to make about a 0.95 L (one quart) of motor oil.
► Wax for 170 birthday candles or 27 wax crayons.
But that’s not all. After producing all of the above products, there are also enough petrochemicals leftover to be used as a base for one of the following:
► 39 polyester shirts
► 750 pocket combs
► 540 toothbrushes
► 65 plastic dustpans
► 23 hula hoops
► 65 plastic drinking cups
► 195 one-cup measuring cups
► 11 plastic telephone housings
► 135 four-inch rubber balls
Oil is not a one-trick pony, and the gooey black liquid actually has thousands of applications. The above serves as one example of how a barrel could be used, but here’s a list of many other oil applications. It includes everything from guitar strings to antihistamines.
Whatever your opinion is of fossil fuels, it’s still pretty astonishing what can be produced out of each barrel of oil.

■ Seems you are a dunce. 4000 riyal in saudi is more than enough to survive if you adopt the same living pattern in Nigeria. On feeding, a typical Nigeria family of 5 living in Saudi can not spend 500 SAR even if they are glutton, and accommodation is in the range of 700-1200 SAR for a flat. Most Nigerians earn between 6000 and 15000 SAR except student on scholarship who gets subsidized meal from government and most times a stipend less than 1000SAR at all level.
■ Nigeria run by Tinubu and his fellow thieves like Dangote is enslaved. Such assertion from African richest man tells us he is not a superman, but a thief corroborate by fellow thieves. Nigeria should go back to a state of anarchy, where we can choose our leaders ourselves, and not by sham election they organised and later generates some random values in their own favor. Next election, voters should approach coalition centres with petrol, any state Tinubu won via rigging, the returning officers and his cohort should be burn to ashes.
Finally, a response from someone who has experience of life and living in Saudi Arabia to the rescue. undecided

2. Imagine someone comparing life and living in Nigeria to that obtained in Saudi Arabia. shocked

Price in Saudi Arabia of a liter of petrol IS NOT cheaper than the price of the same in Nigeria. The average price in Nigeria is about the same if not more, depending on the location purchased. For instance, in River's state Nigeria, the average pump price is around Naira 1300-1800 which is significantly higher than the price in Saudi Arabia. undecided

In August of 2024, a Litre of Petrol in Saudi Arabia went for approximately 2.33 Riyadh which is approximately 0.66 U.S. cents. The same amount of petrol in Nigeria sold for approximately Naira 800 which was about 0.48 cents back a month ago. undecided

By Blessing Otobong-Gabriel
The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy has launched a groundbreaking initiative to refurbish and revitalize six national museums across the country.
In a statement issued by the Special Assistant Media and Publicity, Nneke Ikem Anibeze said the Museum includes the National Museums in Ilorin, Birnin Kebbi, Uyo, Owerri, Gidan Makama Museum in Kano and Zazzau Emirate Museum in Kaduna State.
The statement reads, "the project, done in collaboration with the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, aims to preserve Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and make its historical treasures more accessible to the public.
"The refurbishment program, set to begin in October 2024, will focus on infrastructure upgrades, enhanced security systems, and improved exhibit spaces. By incorporating modern technologies and sustainable practices, the initiative seeks to create interactive and educational environments that celebrate Nigeria's diverse cultural legacy".
The Minister, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musaw said in New York on Thursday, that the significant project underscores the Ministry's commitment to preserving Nigeria's rich cultural heritage and enhancing public access to the nation's historical treasures.
“Our museums are custodians of Nigeria's culture and history. This refurbishment project will not only preserve our heritage for future generations but also promote cultural tourism and education in Nigeria. We are committed to making our museums more accessible, engaging, and reflective of our rich artistic tradition in line with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and our Ministry’s 8-Point Plan”.
Explain to me how this is any different from spending billions on refurbishing VP Lodge, AsoRock-only Hospital, etc.. Are these people everlastingly incapable and allergic to caring for that which directly impacts the actual people of Nigeria— the millions of destitute who will never visit any of these museums? undecided
