Joagbaje:Jesus Christ did not speak of the false prophets only in the context of the last days of God's Judgement against the Nation of Israel mentioned in Matthew 24 & Mark 13 & Luke 21. Rather, Jesus Christ spoke against false prophets and false teachers in the context that is the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom that came during the last days. ![]() 2. False Christ? I am speaking of false Prophets and false Teachers, those who come using the name of Jesus Christ to claim they were sent as prophets and teachers in His name. All those who come teaching doctrines and traditions that are not of the same teachings and commandments that Jesus Christ taught to His very disciples are all false Prophets and false Teachers. ![]() 3. The only gifts that Jesus Christ gave to men are those listed in Mark 16 vs 15 - 19 and those He gave to all of those who believe in Him meaning every single person who belongs to Jesus Christ would have those signs following him or her. Jesus Christ never gave anyone prophetic office as you claim. Prophets were instituted by God of Israel in the Old Law of Moses and Jesus Christ never said they were part of His Kingdom. As explained by Jesus Christ in the parable I posted a reference to earlier in Matthew 21, Jesus Christ, the Son, was the last Prophet that was sent by the Father before He came back and judged the farmers to whom He gave His vineyard to(the last days of God's Judgement against the nation of Israel(Judah) in the land of Canaan). ![]() |
1Alex:Zamfara decided to pay 18K($12 a month) where the international poverty line is set at $2.15 a day so we should let them pay people just $12 a month? Again, read the page you referenced. States are not to choose for themselves unless they intend to pay more than the Federal minimum wage. ![]() |

RealityKings:1. God of Israel is responsible for planting Moses to lead the people of Isreal out of Egypt and through the promised land. But here you are suggesting that rebellion against Moses was not seen by God of Israel as a rebellion against His decree and ruling. Really? Have you read Numbers 12 vs 1 - 6 ever? ![]() 2. There is no such law in the entirety of the Old Law of Moses which Job lived by. God of Isreal never said those who curse Him or blasphemed against Him would be struck dead by Him. If Job had cursed God, he would not have died immediately as you assumed, but he would have lived in regret of it. ![]() 3. She was not supposed to cause her husband to lose hope according to what law? What law is there that mandates a wife serve as a source of positive encouragement, even to Job? Where do you folks get these ideas of yours from since Scripture neither says nor mandates any such? ![]() 4. Satan never said she was his advocate so, again, where does this idea come from? ![]() |
adioolayi:It isn't NLC or TUC's duty to enforce the Law in Nigeria. They can only agitate for better pay for their members. Enforcement is up to the government and of course citizens. The Minimum Wage Act was enacted in 2019 and is dated 26th March 2019That is how labor laws work. Employers are expected to pay taxes and based on reports received, the Government is mostly able to determine whether a particular employer complies or not. Another way is having individuals file suits or petitions with the government against employees refusing to pay the minimum wage for services rendered. ![]() |
osazsky:Good to know! ![]() |
adioolayi:Who is currently responsible for the wages of those non-governmental workers at this point? Government or the private sector? ![]() 2. I don't follow. Whether or not the government agrees to pay NLC or TUC, those private-sector workers will continue to depend solely on their private-sector employers, right? So, what exactly is your issue with the private sector not being directly paid even after all of this by the government? ![]() 3. New wages have not been released in over 4 years yet inflation has climbed to over 35% with no end in sight. Prices of goods and services have risen over 400% at this point and it is expected to continue to rise. The new reality of things in Nigeria, a reality caused not by an increase in wages but by policies implemented by the government, is responsible for the high inflation rate and high cost of goods and services. So what is the reason behind this inane tactic of trying to pin inflation instead of an increase in wages? ![]() |

fastseo:... femicyrus:They say necessity is the mother of invention. Private employers will find a way to survive this push. ![]() The Minimum Wage Act was enacted in 2019 and is dated 26th March 2019▶ Any amount less than $64.5 or Naira 94,893.69 is extreme poverty and should not even be considered of worth. ▶ Any amount less than $68 or Naira 102000, which is the former minimum wage adjusted for the approximate 340% depreciation of Naira since February 2023 (Note: the Naira30,000 minimum wage was worth $83 when it was enacted back in 2019), is pretty much not a raise but adjustment to match the value of the current minimum wage right about the time before the current administration took office. I suspect the recent increase of 300% for the Judiciary was such an adjustment made against the Naira depreciation level. Naira 124,000 or $83 really should be where Labor begins its negotiating for a raise from. ▶ At the federal level though, anything less than N250,000 should be rejected by federal workers. Given the padding senior workers at the federal level freely give themselves, I see no reason why some of that extra padding should not work its way down and across the board to other Federal workers. dollar124:Non-graduates, Level 0 workers deserve to be paid abject-poverty-level wages, is what you are saying? ![]() 2. So, those who fall within that 10% deserve to be paid abject-poverty-level wages even by their government? ![]() 3. As it stands, most of those state resources are barely ever seen by most Nigerians. So, why would the same Nigerians now think it unfair if the same resources are re-routed from the sinkholes where they currently feed, into the pockets of workers who deserve to be enumerated for work done? ![]() 4. Who currently pays those in the private sector? The companies they work for, right? ![]() |
1Alex:You didn't bother to read that page you posted, did you? In the U.S, the federal minimum wage is set to ensure that everyone in the nation is paid at least that amount. State minimum wage cannot go below the Federal rate. A State must set its minimum wage above the Federal rate to qualify for the right to decide its minimum wage. ![]() |

SwissMass:This is ridiculous reasoning. Presidency, Senator, HOR, & all political office holders all gave themselves raises not too long ago in that same Nigeria. Are they currently complaining that they are having to spend more on goods and services? Why is it that it is the Nigerian people, many of whom have not received a raise in over 4 years that are screaming at the biting cost of prices of goods and services instead? ![]() Inflation as it stands today is not a result of Nigerians being paid more money but a result of recent APC policies many of which were implemented during this current administration. So, why should the fear of inflation be used as a weapon against Nigerians demanding better pay when inflation, as it stands, was not caused by the same receiving better pay? Why the nonsense scare tactics? ![]() |
PressMyButton:Any company/state not able to pay its workers a decent wage is not a viable company and should be disposed of...merged back into a more viable state. ShoeGetSize:Christianity with its over 47,000 different interpretations, and denominations it calls them has no direct connection to Scripture and Jesus Christ which it pretends it holds to. ![]() |
proff010:Christianity is also a scam. Jesus Christ condemned religion beginning with the religious leaders of his time as well as their doctrines, so Christianity which is modeled after the very same religion Jesus Christ condemned is a scam. ![]() |

IbeOkehie:1. Well, are you insinuating the majority of Nigerians are somehow only for the increase in the pay package of those in power with no desire to see that trickle down to even the lowest on the totem pole? ![]() 2. Is this fiat money printing responsible for the current high inflation rates under the current administration? 🤔3. WOW! Do you mean the existence of a minimum wage act does not mean the Government of Nigeria was elected to ensure are paid a decent wage?😶😶😶 4. Huh? Better share of the National cake? Minimum wage? Are you for real? ![]() 5. My guess is Sallah! ![]() 6. This isn't all Nigerians agitating for better pay but rather those Nigerians who work, probably about 50 million of them, represented here by the NLC. So, you attempt to compare this to ENDSARS and the Occupy Nigeria movement no enter at all! ![]() |
IbeOkehie:1. Nonsense! The government is broke yet the same took the liberty to ensure that top officials got their pay packages padded this year to counter the cost of inflation and Naira devaluation!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 2. Oh, so the major cause of the current inflation rate — over 33% at this point— in the country is fiat money printing, right? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 3. So, the people elected the government so they could pad their pay packages but not ensure the people are equally paid decent wages, abi? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 |
IbeOkehie:1. That na rubbish assertion! Go out there and tell that to the average individual on the streets of Nigeria and they would look at you like something is wrong with your brain for suggesting it is the only way. ![]() 2. Notice how you have conveniently dodged this question of mine over and over again. You refuse to answer the question when posed yet you pretend you say something new or different each time. There has been no minimum wage increase in the last 4 years yet inflation still happened at a rate of over 30%. This means that whether you increase the minimum wage or not inflation can happen. So, are you saying then that this fear of having more inflation — seeing the already high inflation numbers go up —should be reason enough to subject over 160 million Nigerians to life in abject poverty...$20 per month when the minimum wage ought to be at least 68 dollars for meaningful existence? 3. The top echelon of government have all pretty much increased their salaries to meet up with the Naira standard of today and compensate for other shortfalls. Did their salary increase not cause inflation? Why then should we raise alarms only when the people insist they too should get a raise for the same reasons as them? ![]() You keep throwing around inflation as though that should be the priority here ignoring the fact that millions more Nigerians - over 40 million of them - have seen their livelihoods reduce to almost nothing since this administration came into office back in May of last year without a clear end in sight. So, I ask again, why should they care whether inflation will take it all down or not? ![]() |
Enemyofpeace:No wonder dem dey deceive una so. The man continues to speak out of the abundance of his heart yet here you seek to pretend now old age or maybe dementia is to blame. Na wa for una! This one na chronic blindness ! ![]() |
IbeOkehie:Nah! The typical Nigerian tactic would be resorting to posting gibberish when cornered! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 1. I never said anything about printing money so why would you think to connect anything I said to that statement made by Tinubu in 2015? ![]() 2. That you think comparing the minimum wage issue of today to the Udoji awards of 1975 further reveals the level of disconnect in your argument. Udoji was not an attempt to establish a minimum wage but rather an attempt to fairly distribute the loot from oil boom. Yes, an attempt because the government only implemented parts of the report. Abuja — General Yakubu Gowon, Nigeria's Head of State between 1967 and 1975, has defended his administration's decision to increase civil servants' salaries in 1974, an event that came to be known as Udoji Award.3. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better spouting baseless jargons! 🤔 |
willzy0909:The oneness of marriage speaks instead of the agreement/contract between a man and woman in marriage. There is no indication anywhere in Scripture that a woman or man is approved righteous by God by being married to a man is approved righteous by God of Israel. Marriage has no connection or dealing with God's approval. So, this assumption here is not based on what is contained in Scripture. ![]() |
Nehyooh:And this happens to be an apparent lie! ![]() |
IbeOkehie:1. Are you trying to argue that when the minimum wage is raised, there would be fewer people desiring to enter the workforce? Or are you suggesting instead that when the minimum wage is raised, there would be fewer openings for hiring across the country in both the government and private sectors, which one? ![]() 2. Price and demand for what exactly? Poverty? Workers, no matter where they work have a right to earn a decent wage. When that is absent, then such employment amounts to slave labor. I will leave this for you to read. The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights declared the right to "just and favorable remuneration" in 1948, and the UN General Assembly ratified it in 1966. It became international law in 1976. The International Labour Organization (ILO) also endorses living wages and recommends setting them using "robust data" and consultations with workers' and employers' organizations.Any company not able to carry its weight and not able to provide a decent wage ought to be dissolved or merged with other states able to meet up. ![]() 3. All this textbook jargon you dey spew... shows why you seem so removed from the reality of life and living for many Nigerians. |
ceejayluv:The current minimum wage was set in place in 2019. ![]() |
