■ You are confusing yourself again undecided
*Torah... Hebrew ... Old Testament
*Spetuagint.... Greek.... New testament
So how will you use spetuagint to understand old Testament? They are two different path on language basis now. The Bible is the combination of the torah and Spetuagint. If you want to understand a people, you learn there language.
When you learn their language, you notice the usage of verbs and 2nd person noun and several other aspects that can't be adequately translated to English scripture. This lack of knowledge, is bornes most of these anti Christian threads
You do know that the Septuagint was written before the birth of Jesus Christ, right? undecided
The Origins of the Septuagint
The very first translation of the Hebrew Bible was made into Greek, probably as early as the third century BC. This, the so-called Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Bible into Greek, is traditionally dated to the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus of Egypt (285-246 BC).
It is commonly called the 'Septuagint' version (from the Latin for 'seventy') because according to the traditional account of its origin, preserved in the so-called Letter of Aristeas, it had seventy-two translators. This letter tells how King Ptolemy II commissioned the royal librarian, Demetrius of Phaleron, to collect by purchase or by copying all the books in the world. He wrote a letter to Eleazar, the high priest at Jerusalem, requesting six elders of each tribe, in total seventy-two men, of exemplary life and learned in the Torah, to translate it into Greek.
On arrival at Alexandria, the translators were greeted by the king and given a sumptuous banquet. They were then closeted in a secluded house on the island of Pharos close to the seashore, where the celebrated 110 m. high lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, had just been finished.
Or are you talking here of an entirely different book that Google is not aware of? undecided

Jesus Christ is famously believed to have read from the Septuigant when He visited a synagogue in Nazareth. undecided

■ I dont want to break the discussion but I'd like to tell you Elisha didn't need to pray to God for a message on how to recover the Ax.
■ All he needed to know was “Where did it fall?” an he acted on it with a tool (nature)
What made you think or believe Elisha needed to pray for a message on how to recover the ax to begin with? Is it written somewhere in the book that a Prophet of the God of Israel first had to pray before the God of Israel could perform a miracle on his behalf? undecided

2. A tool? Oh, so your particular conclusion from the story is that if Elisha had not asked where the Axe had fallen or thrown a stick in the water the missing Ax head would not have floated up? grin

■ If the spirit ministers unto him to use nature to heal, then that's it
I have watch several of the man's program and have never seen him heal anyone by words. I have seen people pretending to be headed by his words but no proof they were healed at that moment from whatever it is they claimed. I have been to the church of some of these gods of men and watched their miracle sessions live— without video editing magic and all of that— and observed nothing of the sort you describe. undecided

■ Look prophets or people from the past used substances to perform wonders. Water, Sticks, sand and many more. I have forgotten the name which this methods called and listed under. Nonetheless, remember how Elisha recovered the ax head from river Jordan? Do you know how it became a Floating Ax Head? Scientifically or Logically, can an Ax metal float on water? Can you go to third Mainland Bridge and drop a wood inside then wait if an ax head to float? So if Elisha could use nature, wood, to effect a such a feat, then it's possible
■ Adeboye too can do it with the stick
The story instead has it that the God of Elisha, not the axe or the water, was responsible for the miracles in all of those cases. The men standing right next to Elisha at that time could have done the same using the very same tools because they didn't serve the same God that Elisha did. But somehow you have chosen to reduce the occurrences and stories down to the mere objects that were involved. Why? undecided

According to your assertion, the stick helped Adeboye heal a woman. So, you should have no issues believing that a supposed god of man urinating on his congregation— women and children in particular— should also be able to accomplish the same, right? undecided

1 I will explain the term "Juju" as Africans simple way of explaining how advanced frequency and electromagnetic waves function and influence a SUBJECT. If something can influence your actions, that means it has power ovr you (SUBJECT) it's the same way. I believe juju operates just like radio waves, infrared, visible light and more.
2. Using "sure" that sentence means acceptance of juju as a science... So no need to argue or explain.
3. About Adeboye, even some phones when produced it fails to work, despite the same brand being produced from the same company functioning well.
■ So What about the other times his frequency or waves didn't fail?
4. You have started confusing yourself again. Juju is not a religious power. Juju is observation, practices and execution. That is science and science keeps improving. Juju keeps improving grin So as juju is a science, it can exert its influence /power on a SUBJECT.
1. undecided

2. Africans claim it is a science. I don't argue with their claim, so sure. But is it proven science? That is the question. undecided

3. Adeboye's failings are to be compared to the production of defective phones in which defects are traceable and explainable. WOW! shocked

4. So, you admit this frequency you claim the man has offers no guarantees and when it does supposedly work there is no proof that it was in fact this frequency of his that is to be credited? undecided

5. Juju is not a religious power?

Christianity EtcRe: Did Jesus Want To Be Crucified, And Why? by Kobojunkie:
judedwriter:
■ Obviously, Jesus had a will but He subjected his will to God's. The suffering of the crucifixion, scourging, mocking, slapping, punching, spitting, etc. were nothing compared to the pains of spiritual separation from God. When Jesus cried, "My father, have you forsaken me"? He was heartbroken. It was very painful to Jesus to be separated from his loving father, although for a brief time. Jesus became a sin offering on the cross, thus His father turned His back on Him for a period of time.
That's ridiculous! undecided

How could He have, being under the curse of the cross, been regarded as a sin offering? If you have ever in fact read through the Law on the subject - Leviticus 4 - you would have learnt that a sin offering is meant to have no blemish whatsoever i.e. no curse or stain! Jesus Christ drank God's cup of poison by sitting as a cursed entity on the cross. There was everything wrong with Jesus Christ being under a curse at the time. He was hung on the cross to die a cursed death. Add to that the fact that Jesus Christ never said His Death was some sort of sin offering. So, how in the world did you decide to declare Him a sin offering for Pete's sake? undecided

∆ The problem is most of them just carry the English translation and think they understand the scripture already.
If they had an indept knowledge of the Torah and the spetuagint, it would have been easier to explain to them, those were not errors.
∆ How do you start to explain biblical Hebrew and biblical Greek to them? its even much harder to convince them because they aren't actually looking for knowledge but negative criticism
Nonsense! No knowledge of the septuigant is necessary to understand the Gospel of the Old Testament. most English translations developed without ulterior motive are all what needs to understand what Jesus Christ said in this case. undecided

■ Is juju not a power? It's African science
Is Juju really a power? What qualifies juju as a power? I understand what you are attempting but what does not mean to claim a thing as a power? You say it is African science, sure but has this science been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt? As far as I know it, Juju, like the works of your other religious gods of men, Adeboye included, fails more times than not. As far as power guarantee, a coincidence ranks so many times higher than juju and other so-called religious powers.... no guarantees whatsoever So, can juju indeed be considered a power? undecided

■ If juju works (which I know).. Why cant he heal with God's power through a stick?
Is this "God's power" that you speak of only expressed through certain tools? For instance, what stops a man from claiming that it is by urinating on his children and his followers that he "heals" them? Is God's power really sourced through sticks and urine or poop? Yes, God(not men) is All-Powerful, and yes, all power — regardless of who claims/pretends to have it — belongs to God. But did God All-powerful say this or is this merely a desperate attempt by your person to drag God down in the mud for the sake of men? undecided

■ but if he never asked them to build churches then he should have condemned those churches in revelation 2,instead he encourages them.
▶ Did Jesus Christ say in Revelations 2 that the churches He referred to were built by the hands of men or something? I am not certain I follow your line of reasoning here. Jesus Christ never sent any man out to build anything on His behalf so are you insinuating that the 7 lampstands referenced by the Jesus Christ character in that vision that John wrote of were put there by men on behalf of Jesus Christ? undecided
12 I turned to see who was talking to me. When I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands.
13 I saw someone among the lampstands who looked like the Son of Man. He was dressed in a long robe, with a golden sash tied around his chest.
14 His head and hair were white like wool—wool that is white as snow. His eyes were like flames of fire.
15 His feet were like brass that glows hot in a furnace. His voice was like the noise of flooding water.
16 He held seven stars in his right hand. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth. He looked like the sun shining at its brightest time.
17 When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He put his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.
18 I am the one who lives. I was dead, but look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
19 So write what you see. Write the things that happen now and the things that will happen later.
20 Here is the hidden meaning of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and the seven golden lampstands that you saw: The seven lampstands are the seven churches. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches. - Revelations 1 vs 13 - 20
▶ You asked why Jesus Christ never condemned the churches, and I wonder what book you have been reading since almost all of the letters written to each angel — not to the church itself — contains some sort of reprimand. undecided
