Jesus Christ was Himself of course an adherent to the Old Law of Moses which was His Father's Will/Law in the Land of Israel at the time and so was submitted to the Old Law and its Ways, but He urged His followers to only do that which He commands of them. So anyone quoting random verses that do not have Jesus Christ saying anything but rather suggests that because Jesus Christ did a thing His followers should also do it, is a liar and a deceiver.
