Christianity EtcRe: What Does The Blood Of Jesus Christ Do? by Kobojunkie: 11:46am On Mar 27, 2024
jnrbayano:
∆ Your second paragraph has a little question mark. You were correct when you said that the blood will stop working if one intentionally does evil after knowing Jesus wise counsel but this will change once same person repents and turn a new leaf. The blood continues to cleanse so far there's contrition and repentance
This is very wrong belief on your part. That gift of eternal life which the blood grants to all who would choose to become citizens of the kingdom of God never stops working. It does not matter whether one chooses to continue in sin afterwards or not. The fact is the gift of eternal Life will never be taken away from such a one. Now, the end of such a person however, is another thing entirely since the choice of eternal reward or eternal damnation depends on what one does after receiving eternal life. undecided

There is no doubt about the fact that we all have our shortcomings in one way or the other. While some sin very less, some others are grave sinnres. What surprises me the most is that most of the people we know very well to be evil live to grow old before they die. I have failed to understand why! If we take a look at most of our politicians, one would expect most of them to have died but alas, they live to even grow old. If you have reasons, proves or counter proves on this, you can share it. Happy New month to you all.
I believe this has a lot more with the so-called good people convinced in their own "goodness" that doing nothing about the evil that the evil people do is part of what makes them good persons. undecided

■ The situation here is that you don't understand the bible, I will give you one more example, Jesus told his disciples to baptize people in " "the name if the father and if the son and of the holy spirit" But the same Peter and the disciples never baptized anyone in the name of "The father and if the son and if the HOLY SPIRIT" But the baptized people only in the name of "the lord Jesus" You will now say that they disobeyed Jesus Christ or that they DID not understand what he instructed? The bible is not just any other book, we are told that it was written by the inspiration of the holy spirit, this means, you can only understand it with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT, and not the way you are looking at it

Jesus Christ never sanctioned or sent out prophets in His name; He was firm that He, Jesus Christ was the last prophet sent by the God of Israel to the people of Israel. undecided
26 So, brothers and sisters, what should you do? When you meet together, one person has a song, another has a teaching, and another has a new truth from God. One person speaks in a different language, and another interprets that language. The purpose of whatever you do should be to help everyone grow stronger in faith.
27 When you meet together, if anyone speaks to the group in a different language, it should be only two or no more than three people who do this. And they should speak one after the other. And someone else should interpret what they say.
28 But if there is no interpreter, then anyone who speaks in a different language should be quiet in the church meeting. They should speak only to themselves and to God.
29 And only two or three prophets should speak. The others should judge what they say.
30 And if a message from God comes to someone who is sitting, the first speaker should be quiet.
31 You can all prophesy one after the other. This way everyone can be taught and encouraged.
32 The spirits of prophets are under the control of the prophets themselves.
33 God is not a God of confusion but a God of peace. This is the rule for all the meetings of God’s people.
34 The women should keep quiet in these church meetings. They are not allowed to speak out but should be under authority, as the Law of Moses says.
35 If there is something they want to know, they should ask their own husbands at home. It is shameful for a woman to speak up like that in the church meeting.
36 God’s teaching did not come from you, and you are not the only ones who have received it.
37 If you think you are a prophet or that you have a spiritual gift, you should understand that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command.
38 If you do not accept this, you will not be accepted.
39 So my brothers and sisters, continue to give your attention to prophesying. And don’t stop anyone from using the gift of speaking in different languages.
40 But everything should be done in a way that is right and orderly. - 1 Corinthians 14 vs 26 - 46
So, if you closely examine what Paul said in the above passage, it becomes clear, that the church He mentioned in this case was not a gathering of believers or followers of Jesus Christ but rather a gathering that consisted of children of Isreal – sinners and non-sinners alike — to whom the Spirit of Prophesy promised by God to all the young men and women in the land at the time had descended upon - Joel 2 vs 28 - 31. The church meeting described by Paul was a general gathering in the land of Judah, and as such the reason why Paul must have seen fit to stress that the Law of Moses by honored by the women in the gathering, as opposed to the Law of Jesus Christ which those who are followers of Jesus Christ are commanded to live by. undecided
Christianity EtcRe: Hasn't The Gospel Reached Everyone? by Kobojunkie: 2:27am On Mar 27, 2024
In the Bible, it said that when the Gospel reaches everyone, the end shall come i.e the second coming of Jesus Christ. Matt 24:14
However, my question and thought is that, with modernization, civilization, technological advancement, globalization, do you think not everyone has heard the gospel. Pls endeavour to give reasons and probably cite examples of some places you think the Gospel has not gotten to, and why you might think it has gotten to every nook and cranny of the earth
Pay close attention to what Jesus Christ said.
14 And the Good News I have shared about God’s kingdom will be told throughout the world. It will be spread to every nation. Then the end will come. - Matthew 24 vs 14
The World, according to Jesus Christ, is the world that is the Lost sheep of Israel, and the nations are the tribes of Israel. The end He spoke of, as He confirmed in the same context is Matthew 24 vs 1 - 44. undecided

■ 😆😆😆😆😆......And you think you are a true follower of christ?
■ And you have not in your entire life met another true follower of christ?😆😆😆
■ You must be the funniest person on planet earth.
■ So even the op that you are supporting is also not a true follower of christ😆😆😆
1. Well, one fact I am certain of is that no follower of Jesus Christ would:
Associate Him, and His Name, with any organization of men on this earth
Be associated with any religion or doctrines of men; Jesus Christ openly distanced himself from the religious leaders of even His time as well as their many doctrines and rituals.
Use His name for any idea other than that strictly contained in His Gospel and Law; Using the name of Jesus Christ for that which He did not command or teach amounts to using His name in vain.
Bow down to or follow any man or group of men who claim to be teachers or representatives of God on earth; Jesus Christ alone is the Teacher and authority to all of His followers.
Subject himself to the standards of other men particularly where it concerns the Kingdom of God; Jesus Christ is the only standard that He judges all things by.
...
Jesus Christ is God's Law defined and no man or person has authority from him to stand between Him, the vine, and His branches.
27 My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me. - John 10 vs 27
So, that pretty much means every single individual out there holding or hanging on to religion has no part in Him Jesus Christ. There is no debating that unless you believe instead that Jesus Christ is not the absolute power and authority in the Kingdom of God which He claimed to be, in which case, this is all moot.

2. Absolutely! I have met a lot of religious beings such as yourself but I have never met a single being who exudes Jesus Christ in the same way that Jesus Christ said His followers would. o? undecided

3. I am far from funny! undecided

4. There is no mandate given by Jesus Christ that a follower go out in search of other followers so I know it is the religion in you that believes such nonsense. There is only one Jesus Christ and almost 100% of the claims you have made thus far have absolutely nothing to do with Him. undecided

5. Lol... You do believe that Jesus Christ is according to the whims of men, don't you? 2. Jesus Christ said to His followers of His other followers that by their fruit you shall know them. Those who belong to Him bear fruits of Obedience and can identify the others when they encounter them. ■ Historically, the Catholic Church was not considered a denomination in the same sense as other Christian denominations.
The Catholic Church traces its origins directly to the teachings and ministry of Jesus Christ and the apostles, as described in the New Testament.
■ It was the dominant and unified Christian institution for many centuries before the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century led to the emergence of various Protestant denominations. The term "denomination" is typically used to describe the different branches or groups within Christianity that emerged after the Protestant Reformation, distinguishing them from the Catholic Church.
1. The Catholic Church was not the first denomination. Rather it was the major denomination that prevailed during the beginning of the Christian movement -- a movement that sought to insert itself into the Jesus Christ narrative for personal and political gain --- over the rest. undecided

2. There is no direct connection between Jesus Christ, the New Testament, and the Catholic. Most of the so-called early church fathers were non-Israelites, those whom Jesus Christ referred to as dogs and warned His disciples not to give His teachings to. How could there be said to exist a connection between Jesus Christ and the very people whom He said were not welcome in His fold— dogs aka non-Israelites? undecided

3. The Catholic Church/Enterprise maintained its dominance, yes, notoriously by squashing the competition for many many centuries. But that does not mean it was the first denomination nor that it was truly. There are records of internal political battles within the Catholic enterprise throughout the same period. undecided

The followers of Jesus Christ are those who are commanded ONLY by Jesus Christ --- they hear His voice alone and are taught by Him alone. They do not belong to any organization of this world nor are they commanded by any group of men. They belong only to the Vine that is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. ∆ Hope you are not confusing the word 'church' to mean buildings? Church actually means a congregation of people that gather together to worship God irrespective of their location on earth.

You confuse the word church to imply a collection of people connected via an organization, a system of this world ruled over by your GBs. ■ As much as the office of the prophet is real ,one should not become a slave to a prophet. they should learn to live by faith in the word and acting on the word, but if a matter goes beyond what their faith can handle he can see the pastor .

On an aside, Abraham was himself described as a Mesopotamian who left his father's land to explore the land of the God who called him.
The Hebrew history of the patriarchs indicates that Yahweh selects Abraham and his descendants as his chosen people. Abraham, a Semite living in the northern Mesopotamian city of Haran is the son of Terah, who comes from the city Ur in southern Mesopotamia. He was born in the Sumerian city-state of Ur around 2000 BC. Remember, Sumerians were the earliest culture that was found in Mesopotamia.
interestingly, the captivity of Judah was carried out by the Mesopotamians, the same lands from where Abraham came from.
Babylon was an ancient city located on the lower Euphrates river in southern Mesopotamia, within modern-day Hillah, Babil Governorate, Iraq about 85 kilometers south of modern day Baghdad. Babylon functioned as the main cultural and political centre of the Akkadian-speaking region of Babylonia, with its rulers establishing two important empires in antiquity, namely the 19th–16th century BC Old Babylonian Empire and the 7th–6th century BC Neo-Babylonian Empire, and the city would also be used as a regional capital of other empires, such as the Achaemenid Empire.

■ My younger sister has recently begun spending time with a neighbor in our apartment complex, a situation I find troubling. This neighbor, who is part of a confra, engages in drug use, smoking hemp, taking Colorado among other concerning behaviors, and my sister has been increasingly involved with his circle of friends, which has greatly influenced her behavior and character
Over the past year, my concern for my sister has grown as I've noticed a shift in her attitude and behavior, which seems influenced by her new acquaintances. Our conversations about this issue have led to tension between us. Recently, this tension escalated into a physical altercation of me hitting her, which I deeply regret. Following our confrontation, my sister sought the assistance of the boy, who, along with his friends, retaliated against me. This situation left me feeling isolated and unsure of what just happened
I have reached out to our parents for support, but so far, they have not intervened in a way that has led to a resolution. It feels as though I am being positioned as the problem for trying to address these concerns. Despite the challenges, my primary goal remains to find a way to ensure my sister's safety and well-being, even as it seems we've drifted apart since she started associating with this group.
