Winnin009: ■ If you go to church so that you will experience riches in life, bro.. you never ready. People go to chirch for different reasons... When my dad was alive, he made some of his biggest breakthroughs from the church and it wasn't cause he was shouting the loudest but because he knew the right people to interact with. ■ Go to church with the mindset to just pray to God and interact with members abd you'll see yourself join that 15% you spoke about. Stop spinning these lies for Pete's sake! There are millions of Nigerians right there in Nigerian churches both at home and abroad who have done the very same you claim your father did, some for most all of their lives, yet with near nothing to show for it. Worse, many started off pretty OK only to end up drained physically and financially after many decades of practicing the same. 2. Those in the top 15% are definitely not those who go about depending or trusting in an idea of God but rather who are willing to do whatever it takes — no matter how corrupt— to achieve their goals and this includes directly paying homage to the scammers-in-the-lords and the politicians that back them. Stop spinning tales of some invisible being having something to do with it all when we all know it is all about connections and corruption engineered from right within your church walls for those who are able to pay the higher price. |

Adeboye wey, right there dey even inform his dindirins that tithing should no longer be just 10% but rather a minimum of 10%, na person wey you expect to do restitution? adenigga: Critics questioned the display of wealth, arguing it amounts to prioritising material prosperity over spiritual values. Reacting, Adeboye, in a viral video, said: “Someone gave a bishop a car and some people got very upset that how can a bishop be driving a Rolls Royce? As if once you are a bishop you must die of hunger. “Let me tell you my beloved children, if you die poor they will blame you; they will say after all these days of you serving God this is how you end? If you can’t pay your rent, they will say where is your God? “If all of a sudden you start riding a Rolls Royce they will attack you, so which of the two do you choose? They are going to attack you anyway, whether you die of poverty or you live in abundance.” Likely more than 85% of those Adeboye refers there to as his children will never see or experience riches in their life, not because of criticism from social media, but majorly because RCCG miracles will never get around to meet the individual desires of the vast majority of their members. There are only so many government contracts/connections these scammers-in-the-lords can hand out sheeple. Sadly, those members unable to make large donations to the church regularly, are bound to be passed over when one becomes available. Now, if we investigate the source of the money used to purchase the Roll Royce that Oyedepo was gifted, the chances are above 99.99% that we go find say na corruption money dem use to buy those gifts for am. Oyedepo is surely aware of even this but does it matter? Of course not! Money and material wealth are indicators as far as the blessing of their church gods. |

alphonsojaybaz: ■ In addition, the Lagos State Police Chief promised locals that there would be a strong police presence to provide security and uphold law and order throughout the scheduled protests. We’re not stopping anyone from demonstrating; it’s your right to do so. We’ll guard everything to prevent criminals from taking advantage of it,” he declared. The chief of police reaffirmed that the command would uphold its duty to make sure that no person or group would be permitted to incite violence or damage property within the state. “Protesters shouldn’t infringe upon the rights of others or disturb the tranquility in the community. Any act of violence or lawlessness will not be tolerated. “Independence Day is a day of celebration, but some groups of people want to use that day for other purposes. “We as security agencies, will do all within our best to ensure that we have a good turnout for the independence celebrations. The protesters should not disturb people who want to celebrate,” he said. The CP added: “The police will enforce the court order restricting the nationwide protests against hunger and economic hardships to Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota. “The protesters must keep within the ambience of what the law says, no other place in Lagos is approved.” Two more days to go. I guess there is still time for Lagos to roll out yet another bomb threat as part of the agenda to dissuade those coming out to protest. |

► Apartment rental(living with two roommates at that time) ——————————————$300 each month(utilities included) ► Fuel for an old Honda 2003 model ————— — —————————————————— $120 each month ► Food cost(I got most of the supply from the pantry every week) ——————————— $100 a month ► Health Insurance(Medicaid) ————————————————————————————Free ► Phone bill-————————————————————————————————————$30 a month —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Total monthly cost is ——————————————————————————————— $550
P.S. The above is not Juju. it is actually how I lived for a time in recent years. I saved up quite a bit by the end of that year too. This is in the U.S. by the way. |

Bcus even the international poverty line set by una USA is 2$ per day.. which is just 96,000 per month Who set this standard for Nigerians that you attempt to subject Nigerians to? The International EXTREME Poverty Line is set at $2.15 per day. Extreme poverty is the most severe form of poverty, involving the acute deprivation of basic human needs. The World Bank classifies anyone living on less than $2.15 a day as living in extreme poverty.
People living in extreme poverty are sometimes defined as destitute. Someone living on extreme poverty wages struggles from acute deprivation hence the reason why even that is considered slave wages. |

You barely make $1000 a month and even that is not regular. ■ You rely on charity/welfare just to eat and survive yet have the guts to question my residency? Trick please, I'll school you on US history and governance if you talk to much 1. I don't understand. Your intention was to argue knowledge of the poor and I proved to you that you have no clue what it means to be poor in the U.S.A. However, I do, and it is nothing to be equated to being poor in Nigeria. So, what are you arguing about again? 2. OK, I am poor but I still have better access than a Nigerian in Nigeria on middle-wage is what my argument has been from the start. So, why do I feel you are suddenly trying to make this about your ego even in your blatant ignorance of what it means to be on minimum wage in America? You said earlier that you subsidize my living here in America, and I thank you for it since that goes even more to show you truly have no clue what living on minimum wage is, right? |

abbey621: ■ Again what do I have to prove to someone living in poverty? I subsidize your living o, without people like me you go starve o. Prove? You can't prove what you don't know, is the thing. The poverty line in the U.S.A. is not arbitrarily defined, mind you. The poverty line, also known as the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), is an economic measure used to determine if a person or family's income qualifies them for certain benefits and programs. The FPL is updated annually using the Consumer Price Index to account for price changes. Here are the 2023 and 2024 FPLs for different family sizes: ▶ Individual: $14,580 in 2023, $15,060 in 2024 ▶ Family of 2: $19,720 in 2023, $20,440 in 2024 ▶ Family of 3: $24,860 in 2023, $25,820 in 2024 ▶ Family of 4: $30,000 in 2023, $31,200 in 2024 The FPL is used by some state and local governments, as well as private companies, to determine eligibility for programs and services. However, some programs, such as Supplemental Security Income, do not use the FPL to determine eligibility. |
