Why would you pay someone that is already blacklisted by Ogun State a whooping #100 million?.. this Amosun sef.
I read somewhere that Pat Utomi built on Ogun State property or car park space or something.. Is he mad or what? Is he a native of Ogun State to start with??.
The sitting Governor Dapo Abiodun should revisit the matter and charge Pat Utomi to court for illegal occupation of Ogun State lands. Same thing with Landmark resort that erected illegal structures and shanties on Government land, yet claiming victim
.
Are you alright in the head at all? Were you dropped on the head as a baby or something? You have Chinese people doing business freely in the same Ogun State but somehow your problem with Pat Utomi is that he does not come from Ogun State? undecided

ojobolinda:
↪I regret getting married. My marriage is just a year old.
I can't go into details but the bottom line is, I am not divorcing just want a separation.
Reason for my decision
1) I hate sex where as my husband loves it. I have being unable to satisfactory fulfill my conjugal duties to him. I can stay a year without sex and I am happy but its unfair to my husband because he loves sex. We quarrel about it often.
2) Where we are living is affecting my mental health and I pleaded with him for us to relocate but he refused.
There are more which I can't type because it will make the post lengthy
I want to live apart from my husband and his family. I just want to move to another state and stay alone, all by myself. Marriage is not for me. I don't want my parent to know about it too because they wouldn't approve of it ( I have always given them this impression that I am happy in my marriage).
I am currently pregnant and we both agreed he will have custody of the child when he is born. I just want to know if I will regret my action in the long run
Marriage is not for everybody. About half of the population are meant to live a single existence but because of the warped cultures/traditions including religious lies we are fed, many go around believing otherwise. undecided

Your mistake was likely getting married and then pregnant knowing all along that you were never cut out for all of it. I believe you are making the right decision to leave the marriage now and not later on. No need to regret your decision. Work on accepting yourself for who you are which is someone who probably does not need marriage or anything that has to do with it. undecided

I am not criticizing Chinese investments in these countries as they seem to be helping out with building the much-needed infrastructure in the continent. My concern however lies in the corruption ALL FOREIGN AID breed.

That is why it is always good and often better to elect educated people in offices. How can a governor signs an agreement without reading through it page by page or line by line as the case may be. I read where the so called former govt claimed he signed this agreement by error...who does that? if not that he is greedy who would just go blind to sign an agreement of this magnitude?
Another judgement was secured in the United state of America against the Nigerian govt after the one we are battling with. U can see why we should also be careful in seeking out loans from sophisticated Chinese companies in whatever guise. They have their targeted assets and would do anything to secure it. The judgement does not know who is federal or state govt...who knows if the federal govt counter-signed this agreement too?
Do you know how many aides and lawyers these so-called governors budget for themselves every year? Do not for one minute believe this nonsense that it has something with a lack of education or the governor not reading through the details of the agreement. That is not only preposterous but a dirty slap on the face of Nigerians, particularly all those who resided in the Ogun State during the period the man was governor. undecided

The Presidency is aware of the various failed attempts by a Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited, to take over offshore assets of the Federal Government of Nigeria through subterfuge.
The Federal Government is not under any contractual obligation with the company. The case in which Zhongshan is trying to use every unorthodox means to strip our offshore assets is between the company and the Ogun State Government.
The Federal Government is fully aware of efforts being made by the Ogun State Government to reach an amicable resolution on the matter.
It must be said without any equivocation that Zhongshan has no solid ground to demand restitution from the Ogun State Government based on the facts regarding the 2007 contract between the company and the State Government to manage a free-trade zone.
Failed attempt ke? The courts already had the company seize 2 buildings registered with the Nigerian government before it then allowed the seizure of the 3 planes. So, wetin be failed in all of that? These presidential tale spinners are terrible at their gig abeg! undecided

In January 2022, the Chinese company initiated a case to seek enforcement of the arbitration award.
Nigeria pleaded state immunity but was turned away by Sara Cockerill, a high court judge, who said the country abused the time frame for appealing arbitral awards.
In July 2023, a court of appeal in the UK ruled that Nigeria is liable for a $70 million arbitration award in favor of Zhongshan Fucheng.
The Chinese company obtained interim charging orders in June and August last year over the two properties in Liverpool, owned by the Nigerian government.

Nigeria opposed the charging orders being made final, arguing the properties benefited from sovereign immunity.
The country said this is because they are “available to serve as… premises for providing consular services to Nigerians in the Northwest of England” as well as residences for Nigerian officials or citizens or diplomatic events.
While the properties have been rented out, Nigeria said this was for “below market rent” and that the proceeds were not used for commercial purposes.
In her judgment, Sullivan held that the properties are leased to residential tenants and that no “consular activities are actually taking place on the premises”.
She cited evidence regarding the “dilapidated” state of one property, including “large electrical home appliances strewn across the front lawn”.

On the retreat, Gbajabiamila noted that it will facilitate collaboration and coordination among government agencies, particularly those under the direct supervision of the State House.
“The idea is to ensure coherence as we jointly work together to achieve the objectives of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Coordination is not just a choice but a necessity for the government to succeed and for us to meet the expectations of the Nigerian people,” he said.
This is coming after he killed over 50 of the people who went out to protest in order that his government might finally pay attention to them. This same man was busy hiring new members into his already extremely bloated cabinet during all of that. ↪Highlighting the need for the State House and agencies under its supervision to ensure that its functions are guided by statutes, regulations, policy decisions, and presidential directives, Honourable Gbajabiamila hinted at upcoming policy announcements aimed at ensuring efficient service delivery in government operations.
”I just discussed with the President this afternoon. In the next few weeks, we are going to see a test of this policy during UNGA in New York.
”During recent protests, there were talks about reduction in cost of governance. Everyone is waiting to see if Nigeria, as in the past, will send the ‘largest delegation’ to UNGA.

”From experience, we know that some individuals use the opportunity of such international meetings to go about their personal businesses.
”I have received a directive from Mr. President that this time, we will be strict. If you have no business at the UN General Assembly, do not step foot in America, and this is a directive from Mr. President,” he said.
The Chief of Staff urged heads of agencies at the retreat to comply strictly, adding that the President is listening to the concerns of Nigerians and is committed to addressing them diligently.

On the retreat, Honourable Gbajabiamila noted that it will facilitate collaboration and coordination among government agencies, particularly those under the direct supervision of the State House.
”The idea is to ensure coherence as we jointly work together to achieve the objectives of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
”Coordination is not just a choice but a necessity for the government to succeed and for us to meet the expectations of the Nigerian people,” he said.

He said the retreat would be a continuous exercise, as governance is an evolving process that requires regular adjustments.
The Chief of Staff also urged the State House management and chief executives of agencies under its supervision to lead by example by ensuring compliance with statutes, laws, regulations, and various policies designed to enhance governance.
In essence, this is all in a bid to put on a show a the UNGA in New York this year. Why else would the president wait until this particular program to decide to "test" the idea? undecided

ZHONGFU FIRM IS AN IMPOSTOR, IT’S CHINESE AGAINST CHINESE DISPUTE: Ex-Governor Amosun
We have read various media accounts of the above in both print and social media. We have also read and aligned with the very appropriate responses from Ogun State and the Federal Government. At different levels, Government is a continuum and the various segments of events leading to this unfortunate situation occurred before, during and after our administration.
Our administration assumed office on 29 May, 2011. Very shortly after we took office, two different sets of Chinese companies, Messrs China Africa Investment FXE and Zhongfu International Investment FXE laid claims to Management rights over the Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ). The business dispute and rivalry between Chinese concerns soon became fierce, grounded seamless business activities, and threatened public peace and safety within the Zone and neighbuoring communities.
There were claims and counter claims as to who between the two was the lawful representative of the original joint venturer, Guangdong Province, China and consequentially, who had the right to manage the Zone.
Zhongfu International Investment FXE, pretending to be a concerned and genuine tenant and Zone stakeholder volunteered very damaging and destructive information about the official representatives of Guangdong Province, the Joint Venturer and lawful Zone Managers, China Africa Investment FXE and subsequently requested to be appointed as Interim Zone Managers.

Hello everyone, I made a post on my review on the airtel 5G unlimited router. Let's just say the speed nearly drove me mad, There were times I couldn't use the router unless at night time because it was just too slow.
It's truly unlimited but the speed is a joke.
So last month I purchased starlink and it cost me about 440k on jumia with 38k monthly subscription fee and I must say, The speed is incredible!
I experience an average of 200-300mbps and even hit up to 458mbps as compared to airtels 20mbps.
I can download a 75gb file in 1 hour but I used 3 days to download a 100gb file with airtel router.
The only major disadvantage is, If you don't have constant power then you have to use your gen constantly to power it and it's not portable at all. You'd have to completely unwire it to take it to another location and the data plans are very specific to your current location. So if I go from Lagos to Abuja, I can't use it in Abuja as I'd have to resub again for Abuja location.
If you can afford it, I highly recommend it! My videos almost never buffer even at the highest possible quality.
Please go on the company's website and post your complaint on there so the company can look into improving their service based on this. undecided

I mistakenly signed away Ogun multibillion-naira trade zone to dubious Chinese investors, Ibikunle Amosun confesses
Former Governor Ibikunle Amosun on Saturday said he was deceived into handing over a free trade facility in Ogun State to an investment group from China, introducing a disturbing dimension to the ongoing legal battle that threatens the depletion of Nigeria’s assets abroad.
Mr Amosun, governor of the southwestern Nigerian state from 2011 to 2019, admitted in a statement personally signed by him that he didn’t do even a cursory assessment of facts before asking a Chinese team to take over the Ogun-Guandong Free Trade Zone in 2012. His decision marked the onset of a protracted legal crisis that led to aggrieved Chinese investors’ recent targeting of Nigeria’s assets in Europe and the United States.
The free trade zone was conceived in 2007 between Ogun State under Governor Gbenga Daniel and Guangdong Xinguang International China Africa Investment Ltd (or China Africa) to facility seamless trade between Nigeria and China in Igbesa, Ogun State. China Africa, the major investor at 60 per cent of the stake, was developing the 10,000 hectares facility when, in 2012, a year after Mr Amosun assumed office, another firm that identified itself as Zhongfu International Investment Ltd came in with tales about how the place was being poorly administered and thereafter sought to manage it.

↪The training you refer to is employment based. Like a factory needs workers and trains people. Unfortunately, Nigeria does not have the factories today and so therefore do not need as many workers, which is why government is the largest employer in Nigeria. And we all know government produces nothing.
Industry will train people if it can find a use for them to make profit. It unfortunately can't make profit, so the people are worthless to them, and not worth investing in, sadly.
Government needs to refine its taxes and foreign exchange management to make Nigeria worth investing in. But the rate they are going, they'd likely tax more in the name of internally generated revenue, to fund their excesses, which will further kill off whatever industry there is.
Industry will train, you say! Interesting assertion. But we have seen happen over and over again is that rather than train the locals, industries, time and time again, go out to hire already trained minds from foreign countries to come work in Nigerian companies and schools. So what exactly is wrong with the state spending money it has already allocated for training anyway, to help ready its workforce for the jobs these companies have here in Nigeria? undecided

This is exactly what many Asian countries, including china, did and continue to do to this day. So why can't Nigerian adipt the same approach in making sure its people are ready for the investors already in Nigeria and those that are to come? undecided
