maxiuc: ↪ especially here in imo state Is now that I believe that insecurity and unrest is caused by Government. Just a day to protest imo state became a town of gunshot the military and police shooting carelessly who are they shooting at no one it is just to scare people not to protest tomorrow Thank you for confirming what I had been saying all day long which is that those in the South East did not come out because they feared their government or the terrorist groups in the area would target them. And something tells me that that Senator Benjamin dude and the governors in the zone must have planned all those scare tactics too. For the man to come out in public to basically threaten that the Igbos would be killed off for nothing if they came out means he probably had an idea of what was in store. |

Notasyouthink: ↪How do you know that south Easterners living outside of SE joined the protest? ↪Besides, what I said is nothing but the truth. I spent the whole entire day watching protest video after protest video and I saw a lot of them introduce themselves and their state of origin as well when speaking. One particular guy from Anambra with his friend from Benue spoke in a video of ho they had to accept a Naira 5000 bribe from some people who approached them to protest against the protest. "They were hungry,", they said, but they refused to carry the cardboard because they did not agree with the, "No protest" agenda they were paid to support. Several others said the same thing. 2. There is no truth to any of what you claimed at all since there is no time in the post-war Nigerian record that the Igbo tribe has been targeted for elimination by the military. |

The man was part of those who helped create the current condition in Nigeria and should be brought to answer for it when his turn to be investigated comes! Birniwa: At least no less than 10 unarmed protesters were killed by his stup!d boys. He didn't even bother to mention that in his yeye statement but was quick to say that one police man was killed. Hidiot IGP, protest must continue until the FG finds a reason to do what's right. I believe the claim that a policeman was killed was a lie! The picture of a police man who looked more like he was playing dead on the floor was posted at 7:46 AM yesterday morning on twitter, long before protesters arrived to begin their protest. Imagine the wickedness!

sIfioksq: The real protest should be about unity and progress, not just sentiments. Let's focus on how to move Nigeria forward rather than tearing down our leaders. Tinubu's government has the potential to bring about the change we need if we support constructive dialogue and collaboration. Let's channel our energies into building a better Nigeria together. You cannot fill a bucket using a basket. These criminals in office are proven baskets, and they are responsible for the lack of progress in Nigeria in the last 25 years. The baskets need to be emptied of all they have stolen and made examples of so that future baskets would know to steer clear of Nigerian politics. Nigeria does not need leaders; the people are all the power that is needed in this democracy. What Nigeria needs are servants of the people who are willing and able to do whatever is necessary to help move the people forward, one policy at a time. |
Politics › Re: Don’t Blame TINUBU Alone by Kobojunkieee: 4:43am On Aug 02, 2024 |
Sheerbliss: If we really want change in governance, we should not blame TUNUBU alone. The Governors and the LGA Chairmen must be included in this. Oftentimes we blame the president alone but forgot that the money are shared between the Federal , State and LGA. Now allocation has increased by 40-80% depending on States. We leave the LGA and Governors and focus on the Federal government. Some of us are supporting the Governors but carry placards to demonstrate against the Federal government. Is that not foolishness? This fact is not lost on the protestors as it is why protestors in Kano and Kaduna went straight, on day one, to their Government house while people in some other states attempted their LGA offices. Let's hope that over the next coming days, others will go for the Government House, and LGA(non-violently of course), as well as the State House of Assembly, Courts, and maybe eventually police stations. |

Hold your Governor accountable, then I will know you are serious. For now you are just catching fun and deceiving yourself Kano, Jigsaw and I believe Kaduna did that yesterday. The other states will likely do same in coming days. So relax! |

Diligence: Add States Governors of Niger & Borno States & FCT Minister, add their names & let's send them to these bodies: US, EU Embassies...UN, ICJ for the killing of, unleashing of unprovoked violence against Nigerians.. Additionally, if we could get the names of the dead — pictures, profiles, and more— out there to help sensitize the Nigerian people on why these killings should not be condoned. So many Nigerians have lost their humanity out there no thanks to the bigotry and hatred spewed at them by the religious and political class over the years. A lot of people don't even reason that these people were murdered by their government, all for standing up for their right to protest. |

Even Sowore, whose name was on that list would have done a lot better than Tinubu, who like his predecessor, has spent billions with absolutely nothing to show for it except more suffering and uncertainly for the Nigerian people. Tinubu must go if Nigeria is to have a chance to wake up in this generation from this 25-year coma marred in corruption and incompetence. Otherwise, it will be another, maybe 50 years, before it gets a chance at it.

obaidan: Ideally yes. But sadly the Nigerian leaders are just a reflection of the Nigerian masses too. What may happen is that the government will flash some bread and some protesters will be like, e dun do na, the man dun dey answer small, lets give him time. An average Nigerian will stand for their pocket and that is why the oppressors will always be steps ahead, the aggrieved can be bought for a morsel of food. Very soon palliatives will roll out now and the noise will disappear The Government already tried bribing the people with food and cash, particular in the North, and we all see how that didn't work at all. So, here's hoping they have indeed reached the end of their rope and are ready to do whatever it takes to take back power.. |

obaidan: Why do people even think protest will work. You think ur oppressors do not know they are oppressing you, so it is u speaking up and protesting that will make ur oppressor have a renewed mind. No one negotiates his freedom his captor and gets real freedom. See d independence that was given to Nigeria. Once it is via negotiation, u are only renegotiating the terms of your bondage. If you guys are not going to chase these oppressors away violently, just forget it. The protests are there to help build up momentum— the critical mass—necessary for the eventual chasing of criminals out of office. |
