First, there are no visible signs of assault or bleeding to be seen.

Second, it is currently Thursday, 01 August 2024 at 11:57 PM on my end, and from a Google search, I see that this picture was posted on X at 7:46 AM today. Are we to believe that this man was supposedly killed even before the protestors arrived to begin their protest in Kaduna?

Look, people in the South East, if truly not concerned about the protest could have gone about their daily business since the day isn't a holiday. That isn't what happened. Rather, what happened is that the people chose to stay indoors all through. We know of the many threats from their politicians over the past couple of weeks, and we are aware of the many threats these people have lived under in the name of Simon-Ekpa. So, it is not out there to see that the people choose to play it safe and stay in doors today. We will probably see much of the same over the next coming days of the protest if the grip of fear over the people lingers.

Stop spreading lies! Across the country today, right there in the crowds are people of Igbo descent, residents in the various regions, who came out in their numbers to protest today. There are lots of video proofs of this. That the Igbos in the South East however have instead been cowered into seating at home for fear of their lives, does not mean Igbos are on the fence.

There are many South Easterners living outside of the South East that joined the protest in Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Edo, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kano, etc. The military is very much aware of this since videos have been circulating online of how those who showed up to protest cut across all ethnic groups and religions in Nigeria.
