With the arguments going on, we are failing to realise one Valuable lesson that was taught.

SELF-RESPECT. If you as the guy or girl get mind say you wan smooch inside another person car again, you go think twice because the person fit just burst bottle for your head so you go just respect yourself.

The riders have learnt a valuable lesson the bitter way.

Their safety is the cost of their actions forgone. They didn’t think ‘it’d get to that’. Them no know say many are mad.

If you respect yourself, people go respect you but if you disrespect yourself, anything wey you see you take am like that.

On the bright side, they had over ‘5kms’ of smooching with cool breeze! *sigh

Italy has proven that its health care system is not standard.

I have also noticed that countries with high rate of death due to the virus have a bad health system.

As for the global economy, the damage have been done, lot of changes will happen after the virus is fought.

Open borders ideas will be thrown into the waste bins.

Expect more tighter border controls.

Extreme right wing politics will win

Anti foreigner sentiments in European countries will be high.

Businesses will find ways to implement work from home policies

Online education will be the new thing.

Presently different governments are bringing in different stimulus package to support businesses and their cities.

If you live in america and Germany, easy access to get cheap credit, in Germany for instance, govt is going to write off loans of businesses and people.

I came to understand that my Nigeria is a poor country, where other countries are talking about 100 billion to 500 billion USD as stimulus packages, ours is just 2.6 billions USD.
You can’t give what you don’t have. They have looted everything na. Things will definitely change after this virus thing.

Bruv,do you really think the hysteria over this virus is necessary. Do u really think Nigerians can sit at home for 2 weeks straight.do u really think naija economy can stand a total shutdown for just one weekhuh?

What we need is massive efficient sensitisation on safety and hygiene. All this panic will cause a bigger crisis than covid19 can ever cause.

Law and order totally breaks down when there is massive hysteria. That really is my own fear
Bro this virus is something else and I believe the media is not telling us some vital things. It’s best to just avoid the streets for now and observe.

Italy is turning to a giant burial ground bruv. We all have to be careful! Virus wey fit halt global economy no be mistake. I feel this is deliberate but probably got out of hand. God help us.

To those who were preaching loyalty to bolt and frowned at offline trips. If you still think these people care at all about drivers after this then your case is... Infact I don't know and I no send

They want to stay at home for safety reasons when they're less at risk but ask us at high risk to keep on driving so they can keep making money while at home

The only condition they advise you to stay at home is once you have successfully contracted the virus

They also want you to do more card trips than cash so in case you kpai you won't carry their money to heaven God forbid. ROTFL
Bro what more do you want bolt to do? Do you know the amount of people at their offices at any given day except weekends? The government is saying people should limit public gatherings and bolt is trying to do its own part by shutting down their offices. They clearly said ‘you can carry on driving when you wish to’ so it’s entirety up to you, after all you’re an independent contractor ba?

They said do more of card payments which is also saving your lives because the virus can pass through bank notes, you said they want to keep making money.

Don’t drive! If you don’t make money, they don’t make money. Or are you saying they should make it 0% commission because drivers are ‘risking’ their lives out there? Lol or you think they are not losing more money from the drivers they cant onboard?

What you should do if you wanna keep making money is:

Buy a temperature guage ( the ones the banks use) cost about 10k

Buy a big bottle of hand sanitizer, cost about 3k

Big tissue papers or paper towels max 2k.

And enter the streets with confidence.

Before riders enter your car, check their temperature and also give them hand sanitizer and tissue (incase they wan cough or sneeze) With that, you’ve done your part.

It’s just a precautionary measure. Bolt has done its part, now do yours.

What about this since someone brought up the fact many don't own their cars? If they don't use the service, at the end of the year we will give them cash equivalent.

Driver with highest number of referrals wins? It's simple and mutually beneficial. When referrals come in the give us your NL handle. To motivate, we give them a 10% if they give us the NL handle of who referred them. Referrals have to actually get some work done or buy something. Thoughts?

We can do the same thing for the restaurant separately and winner gets 2 free meals a month for the year?
Ma’am what do you plan to achieve with the give aways? It needs to be carefully planned and tracked.

Prevention is better than cure, I believe this will go along way in curbing thefts, mistrust and abuse of e-hailing services.
Removable and reusable would be sweet.

Have you paid with transfer in KFC, Chicken Republic or ShopRite?

Have you paid with transfer in a filling station before?

Why can't the same rider speaking grammar for you to understand, go and speak it there?

Let's enjoy the thread bro. To each, his own cool
Yes I have paid with transfer at fuel stations and chicken republic.

Transfer is not an acceptable payment means yes, but when a rider wants to pay by that means, don’t make a fuss.

Masking our ego with professionalism? grin

Even the people you are partnering with have strongly warned you to desist from it.

The app is very simple to use. You can do cash now, and change to card immediately. I can't even remember the last time I paid cash for a ride. It's very simple

And you're just making excuses for transfers.Rider forgot debit card and blah blah blah grin

The same rider that forgot his debit card will pay cash when he gets tomatoes, pepper and yam from the market...No transfers

I can keep counting various transactions that you have to pay cash. Yet, when it gets to Uber drivers, they have to be peculiar and understanding

99.9% of scam stories here all emancipated from transfers.

If you know you don't have money before requesting, change it to card and request. What's the rocket science in that?

Anyways, its just my opinion sha.
Nigerian people are a doubtful bunch. They don’t want their cards on apps.

I personally pay with cash and transfer and have never had any issue with drivers.

If a rider decides to be funny with transfer, you go show am say you ride the streets all day long. Literally!

Bro I’m not for or against. All I’m saying is, it’s business and it comes with all sort of challenges.

Businesses can not accept transfers because they have a better option

Have you heard of CARD PAYMENTS?

Yes, card is much more better and safer than transfers.

It is because it is Uber where the fare is not huge. Some car dealers will never accept transfers unless the person buying the vehicle has the same name as the account that is transferring

Transfers have been used to receive ransoms with the suspect not knowing. There's nothing safe about a transfer in business. You can be scammed, set up, implicated.....

That's why businesses settle for CARD through POS or integrating systems like Paystack or Flutterwave

Even Uber and Bolt have repeatedly warned drivers to stay off it
Very true. Card payments are the safest But we are a peculiar people and it’s because of drivers complains that made uber introduce cash payments.

Think about the scenario of someone forgetting their debit card or maybe it’s someone else that’s paying the fare or crazily, you park for your rider to use the atm and them hoodlums decide to try their luck etc

Carrying cash gan is not safe for the driver so what are we on about?

Let’s not mask our ego with professionalism.

Politely tell your riders they have to wait for confirmation because it’s not even an acceptable means of payment in the first place.

I’m speaking in the context of ride-sharing bro, which one concern ransom again lol
