So, per chance, if VIO says LASG has mandated it to demand Hackney permits and LASDRI from e-hailing drivers and the e-hailing companies' say, "Don't mind LASG's demand for Hackney permit and LASDRI. Just continue with your rides," you will go with the e-hailing companies?

What kind of lopsided thinking is this?
*sigh

Can you go now? I’m tired of your senselessness.

Now you see why I am the strategy person.
We were anticipating it not looking for a way around it.

Of course we knew we were gonna go with lagos govt if they dialogued with the ehailing companies.

Now that they have mandated uber/bolt, the only reasonable thing to do is to communicate to partners which they have.

Get your head outta your ass, It stinks.

Bruh I was not arguing for points. I was only telling oga to calm the fvck down until they (ehailing companies) make it official.

Now that they have, it’s in one’s best interest to get it. Simple.

You want to educate me? With what education?

The kind of education that doesn't realise government policy is binding on all corporate entities in an economy?

What education do you want to educate me?
Can you point me to any document that explicitly states cars on ehailing platforms must have hackney, lasdri and operator’s license?

Thank you for having a view different from mine, which you expressed.

All I've just be saying is e-hailing drivers cannot afford to pretend like the Lagos State Government factor is not there. It is there, it stares us in the face. For instance, the latest VIO is saying is that e-hailing vehicles drivers should have Hackney permit and LASDRI. No driver can afford to ignore these directives.

For instance, if VIO should stop me and is able to identify me as an e-hailing driver; then ask me for my Hackney permit and LASDRI, will I tell them Uber or Bolt have not notified me, so I don't have? Won't my vehicle be impounded?

One of our responsibilities on this thread is to guide people right so their investments in e-hailing can be protected. Anybody can come on this forum and say I'm not getting this and I'm not getting that; which will end up misleading so many people such that when it comes to time to face these officials on the road, they will be on there own and at the mercies of the officials.
*sigh

It’s either you’re extremely dumb or you’re extremely dumb. So after acknowledging the lagos govt, I should go and pay 110k for permit and also do the hackney and lasdri when the ehailing companies have not mandated it as a pre-requisite for on-boarding.

If an investor wants to come in, will you tell him/her to get those permit or anticipate them?

What we are doing is simply observing and when it becomes mandatory, you either get it or get out.

Have some sense please.

I can see you have no sense.

Let me tell you the kind of work I do. I am the Chief Operating Officer of an Engineering company. I am a Strategy person. I'm on call 24-7. For example, my boss and myself hold regular strategy meets at Silver Cafe, Ozone Center during working hours. And we do alcohol while we meet. I am free to resume and close when I want. I am even free to work from my house. I coordinate my team remotely regardless of where I am.

I just have KPIs I deliver against, every month. And I am paid well for the job. Plus I have an official vehicle and a driver. Official vehicle, not pool car.

Stop writing about things you know nothing about.
*yawns

You really are not wise. I wonder how you ended up as the strategy person.

How, Oga do you reason? This tirade you have written, does it make sense to you?

As in, what's your business with Lagos State government? A graduate?

I'm seriously shaking my head.
Are you not supposed to be working or something? You’re cheating your company by using their time to do social media.

If lagos state wants the licenses, they should go about it properly and dialogue with the ehailing companies. Is that so hard for you to understand?

Where and when did I tell you I’m a graduate?

Oga swerve abeg.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by kodred(m): 9:32am On Feb 19, 2020
nitigriti:
So in our collective reasoning, what Uber or Bolt or OCar or InDriver says is more important and should be taken more seriously than what Lagos State Government says?

Please what's the meaning of "denial" again?
What’s my business with lagos state government? Is it their app I’m using? If they want those licenses and what not, they should communicate with the ehailing companies who will then communicate with the drivers on its platform and make it mandatory for drivers to get the permits.

How do you reason?

Nice way to respond.
Reason why this thread was created. To share experience.
If the information is not useful for you, might be useful for someone else.
Not only hackney or lasdri experience. There’s no discussion there anymore until the ehailing companies mandates it. There are better things to talk about bruh make we no turn thread to lastma/vio.

There's a new ehailing company in town that promises to give drivers cool earnings and other benefits.

The company name is Mr. Taxi. I'm sure few people here already knew about them and registered too.

I'm doing stuff with them and would like us to register with them through me.

I will drop more details about their offerings soon.
Could this be the reason?

Operational license still on hold till the issue is resolved btw uber/bolt and LASG.
But all drivers/partners are adviced to go get their hackney permit and LASDRI card as soon as possible according to the VIO boss on 99.3fm this morning.
Note: you can maintain hackney permit on your blue plate number
You recent posts has been about hackney this lasdri that. Not pointing fingers but can we try to talk about something else until uber/bolt makes it known what we need?

Only people that cud change their ways is a Union ( collection of a lot of drivers who agree to a common cause, unfortunately, that is a tall order.

Cos of some reasons pple WL giv. a. I'm on rentals, I CNT afford to strike. b). I'm on HP. , I'm almost paying up, I CNT join your strike. c). Nothing concern me. (d). I just lost my job , I can't join. the list of genuine reasons are endless.

Furthermore, Bolt is adding more drivers DAILY on the platform to cater for those that would go voluntarily or be deactivated by the system.

Bolt will keep increasing the pool of drivers cos they only take a cut of wat is in the POOL.

Also, its beyond ur control as an individual, pray n hop you get more favourable trips any day you set out.

Finally, think of the end game. A skill , a biz , that you would eventually switch to.

That's wat I think about everyday, "wat can I do to get out of this RAT RACE".
Or we could come together and create our own POOL to build a business.

But overseas you don't regularly spend heavily on car maintenance due to bad roads and security is better, basic amenities are available that you don't pay heavily for unlike here.
That’s what they fail to understand. Nigeria is a third world country and cannot be compared to the west. We have a long way to go after all we’re about 6 decades old.

The problem is while growing, the people voted in should have conscience and do things properly.

This is exactly the problem with people.

Always wanting to swallow their cake and have it.

Why would you deny your husband his right?

Didn’t you see the caveat before signing the dotted lines?

If he’s not sleeping with you, then it’s not cheating lol in-fact you’re the one cheating him by denying him your honeypot driving him to seek solace elsewhere.

If he’s not doing you, then who is?

What I've noticed about guys on this thread is that they resort to insults and abuses when they lose an argument or they don't agree with someone else's point of view.

Guys, I will freely express my point of view on this thread. I'm not here for you people's likes or social clout.
And if anyone feels he can insult me or shade me and go scot-free, that person has another thing coming. Like I always say, nobody has the monopoly of insults or shades.

And trust me, no one can do it better than me. I write words for a living. I can kill, literally, with the words I write.

So calling me senseless pig and the likes; I will just allow that slide for now. Next time, I will reply not just in kind, but directly.

Again, you shoot yourself in the foot!

Quoting you, "in a sane economy." Who provides the sane economy?

Lagos State government, my dear.
Or do you think the Lagos State Security Trust Fund generating billions of naira every year is for fun? Do you think LASG arming the Nigeria Police Force and operatives of Operation MESA is a fluke?

Further study: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/02/government-responsibility-to-citizens-anne-marie-slaughter/

And do you think driver-partners pay tax to the LASG with the fake TINs we input into the apps? Very funny.
So you’re are saying that the state is not sane right? I thought as much! I mean how can a sane govt ask for 110k per car? Is that not madness?

Oh right right it’s the 110k they want to use to make it sane. My bad.

Whether or not you input a fake TIN, its purpose is for tax payment.
