This is why I laugh when some people say one app pays higher than others. Same pickup and destination zone gave the same N2,500 that he claimed would have given him above N3k cool.
Uber will not give you up to 2500 for that distance and duration.

Lol, I hate that Oga stuff. I'm wondering why these females address someone as "oga" I mean, what the f*ck is that? The moment a rider or any female calls me "oga", you have already giving me a bad impression of you. I hate it. I'm not your oga FFS.
No need for any bad impression. The person that called you oga might turn out to be a nice person.

Sometimes it could just be for humor.

You have a point bro.
I don't think my destiny is cut out for this hustle anymore.
The seatbelt issue is beyond me as i do not have words for it : because i made sure the lady strapped the belt before we left Magodo and midway through our journey, she complained of stomach upset and asked if i could pull over and help her adjust her seat, which i did, she even made mockery of me, trying to sneak in between her Legs. grin I guess it was that discomfort that made her loosed it, hoping to put it back before she fell asleep and I didn't notice because i was so fixated on my phone, trying to hide it from FRSC (Google map offence).
She tried to make a case for herself when my car was flagged down but those FRSC officials were not having any of her pleas, i was just looking like a zombie devoid of what to say.
Regarding the petty thief that stole my 5400 naira from the car arm rest, she must have seen the wads of cash when i opened the armrest for her to make use of the car charger. So, when my car battery misfired and i pulled over to fix it, she stole the money and i had no premonition it happened until the next rider asked for 100 naira to buy bottled water , that was when i knew i have been robbed.
It’s either you’re a very anxious person or you wrong person for village.

Be calm on the job bro. Always maintain a straight face even if your ac no work well or battery Bleep up grin apologise and try to sort things. Do not panic.....except of course you have a gun to your face grin

Exactly my question, I thought drivers use to show the fare displayed to the rider?
If bolt gave him a discount of 900 for using card payment, how come they still debited his account of the complete N2700? Something is not right.

Very annoying. Take a look at this fuckery. Bolt would have given above 6k for that ride.

I am not a newbie in this work.
I use a very good phone and I hardly had any problems with fares on bolt while I used it. But the problem I have with them is the kind of riders I meet on bolt are just like the company itself.
How come you hardly have issues of riders not paying on Uber.
Their rating is so trashy too that you see your rating nose diving seriously.
Riders are the same. The only difference is the App.

Uber covers the rider but bolt is 'so nigerian' i.e selfish.

What makes it different with same per min calculation, same base fare and only N5 diff on Kms which will only give you N100 diff on 20km.
The psych bolt uses for you is to display (your money + their money) while the others simplified it by showing you only your money.
Bolt is more profitable.

Do bolt in a week and uber another week, then compare.

PS: Use a good phone.

Lol... E don happen o.

She booked a ride(She's in Chevron Drive). Asked me to pick some one at Cooker Bus stop Iju (Mainland). Picked the guy apparently her brother in-law.

Got to destination and Bolt decided to show itself and showed us 600 naira against the actual fare. Told the young man this can't be correct and he concurred. I didn't collect the 600 and told him I will send him the fare after review. Be accepted and asked I save the sister in-laws number be cause (Airtel is shit around there) and he can't make transfer so the sister in-laws will pay while he refund to her.

After 3 hrs review came and it was 4900. Called sister in-law, she picked and was not saying anything till I explained and she said hold on. I did and after 10mins I called and she won't answer no more. Called the young man. He's phone not reachable.

Abeg here is the sister's in-law number 09022245146 her name is chioma.

09017714097 The young man number.

Abeg help me beg them. Na my Christmas fowl money be that.

More than 60 calls and she's not picking.

CC. Kodred you see what I was telling you now? Now Bolt don leave me and MY Cross.

Please guys I need your help. I carried two female riders from lekki phase 1 last week Friday (when they did a show on admiralty way just opposite parktonai hotel) they were going to VGC when we got there I ended trip only for one of them to go into the car of the guy they went to meet and came back saying the guy doesn't have cash that she will transfer to me. I knew these is sakamaje and that I had to options give her the benefit of the doubt or bundle her into my car and drive to the nearest police station in vgc but I took option one gave her the benefit of the doubt.

Up until these moment they are not picking my calls please I will like you guys to call them and help me demand for my Money and also mark there numbers in case they happen to request you guys again.

08038963858(these is the number of the leader of the park)

08163971296 (subordinate)
Called the subordinate.

Me: hello good evening

Her: hello

Me: please why have you not updated the uber guy’s account?

Her: I told him my bank is acting up and I’ll pay. I don’t know why he’s reporting me to other drivers.

Me: Well you can't blame the young man. He trusted you and now you acting smart.

Her: I’m not. My bank is having issues. If by tomorrow he doesn’t get it, I’ll call him to come to where he picked me to get his cash

Me: When should I call back to confirm this?

Her: Tomorrow afternoon

So baba update us by tomorrow afternoon. Sorry for the stress, don’t let the bad eggs spoil the basket of golden opportunities in kindness.

Stay safe bro.

Very true. Was driving with my friend this morning on gbagada express way to turn to ikorodu road and was flagged down by lastma,I checked only to realize that my friend wasn't wearing seatbelt. They brought out their phone taking pictures et all, I just bone. They asked me to get down I turned the engine off and took my keys, they requested for driving license i gave them the colured photocopy.(I made sure i parked terribly so as to cause mad traffic). They requested for my keys and i told them nobody will drive this car but me. They asked my friend to get down he refused. I asked lastma to go in behind he refused. I lock up. They started videoing again and we both remained silent.
They Called the towing truck but the traffic I already created was crazy as nigerians were shouting and hauling insults at them. I told the latma officials that it Is only when a driver refuses to go to the office that they can tow the car so I won't allow them tow the car. They placed a call to their boss and handed me the phone and he read out the law to me i still didn't bulge by this time the traffic was so heavy that they were panicking. The towing van will have to go through that traffic to get to my car shei. After about 25-30 minutes. i went to the lastma guys and begged and believe me they let us go without paying kobo.

If you saw a blue KIA on the ramp inward ikorodu from gbagada this morning at about 10 am that was me.
If lastma ever catches you eh make sure you park and obstruct traffic flow.
Be stubborn.
Be smart and more importantly never hand over your keys.
Then pray for some luck.
Never follow them to the office. Never.
It pains me when I read how lastma extort guys here. Lastma na human being abi na spirit?

Stand your ground but be smart about it. You’re on the street!

Every driver has a story. We tell it to encourage others not to give up. Mine goes like this.
It was 10am, just collected the corrolla from the company after serious drilling and screening, was going home to just rest. At that fly over bridge that connects 3MD to Ikoyi, there was a gradual hold up. Getting to the top of the bridge to join the line that goes to Ikoyi. One danfo jumped infront of me. Mehn, I just collected the car and you want to bash it. I swung to the right to avoid a clash and too much English. Gbam! Right infront of me was the men in yellow. Lastma. The danfo zoomed off. I have already been pushed out of the line. Next move, bloody mistake. Had to start begging commuters to let me back into the line. Lagos drivers are wicked. Nobody send me. I was driving alone on one lane trying to join the main line. More mistake. The men in yellow was still watching from afar. Mistake continues. My silly head didn't think. Just want to get home and rest. Only to drive towards them. The next thing, is they started posing me for picture. One of them jumped in beside me. They said, I have created a third line. I was supposed to join the line from the beginning where I met the slow traffic going to Ikoyi. Hence i have broken traffic rule. I was trying to explain my self out. More mistake. The guy stretched his hand and grabbed the car key. Gbam! The trap has caught meat. I almost fainted. Just got this car, have not worked a day. My account was red, pocket empty. Don't even have money for fuel to begin work the next day.I ended up at olowu. If you've never been there pray never to. Not even a request should take you there. Better say Amen! Lastma are the most wicked. Here I understand the meaning of police is your friend. We started debating the price from N90k. We agreed 15k Then started making calls. I called the whole world. Finally raised closed that. Went back to the goat (guy stinks with all the money they make) the lastma boys handed over my case to treat my Bleep up. Offered them 10k with dehumanizing begging. Before they released the car.

Hustle has started since. Seen more obstacles worse than these. The Almighty makes us stronger with them. Keep pushing guys, never give up.
You guys should stop building houses for lastma na.
Chai begging with 10k! 10k!

Any lastma that enters your car and start to snatch your key, burst hin face with your elbow. You go tell me whether that is part of your JD. See guys we have allowed this oppression for too long.

These guys are just thieves. The offense you committed is called ‘shunting’. *sigh* 5h for bottle water because of the sun.

Thanks guys. I appreciate each and everyones concern and advice. I have turned the offer, though I got another for 2.8m. corolla 2006. Toks. For HP also...
Not a bad price for a tokunbo. It will take you about 2 years to pay for the car.

If you don’t have prior experience in ehailing, it’s advised to do rentals first. Forget everything HP for now and focus on rental so you can get accustomed to the business and also a car (you would learn how to check and troubleshoot different problems as you drive).

If you jump on HP now, you might regret in the future bro. Remember, it’s not by HOW FAR but rather HOW WELL. Peace

Opay ti take over. Bro is it true from the grapevine that if you get to riders destination and he/she decides to go somewhere else and tells you not to end the trip, opay will not record it? I.e the app does not calculate the continuous kilometers and duration and the rider is only charged for that first trip? That you have to end that trip and request another one?

Sometimes mechanics can be dishonest but mosttimes na buyer create the issue. U see a car for 1.4 and anoda for 1m. Unfortunately, u dey spend am installmental until u pass 400k n realised the 1.4 car would have saved u time n stress. Most kazeem will not encourage u to buy a car with no fixes cos them no go see chop
Well you’re quite right but it does not work in all scenarios. Some cars are just overpriced.

The problem lie mostly with the mechanics because most people are ignorant about cars and rely on the authority of the mechanic to make a decision. It is rare for you to buy a car against your/a mechanic’s advise.

The bold is the problem. Zero professionalism.
