Why are you guys always exposing yourself unnecessarily, just simple post and to quote is to say the person is sick.
I'm always seeing you as a gentleman, well trained and culture but your comment is sour to taste.Pls you can do better.
Sir,don't ever think it end here,NO o.This is a big thread that we relate with ease even if we are not on the same page we still see ourselves as one Nigeria.
Pls let us be mindful of our emotions when trying to express our feelings cos there are many ways to pass it without hurting.
Oasis007: In the Attacking Department, I hope Rohr sticks with 3 - 5 - 2 Formation, and in some Occasions plays 4 - 4 - 2 Formation with Wingers, coz we need to start playing with 2-Man Attack.
However, if I am the Coach - at this Juncture I wouldn't mind to stop inviting Moses to the Team. He's a good Player, but his Ego is becoming too much. He ain't the Alpha and Omega of the Team, nor he's our Messi or Ronaldo.
In a nutshell, I will honorably replace both Moses and Ighalo with Oyenkuru and Kayode respectively. I would have preferred Martins to Kayode though, but I think Tenacity, Pace and youthfulness of Kayode gonna be handy in 2-Man Attack.
Thus I will prefer the following Players as our Attackers; Iheanacho, Kayode, Onyekuru, Simon, Musa and Simmy.
I think for now, Akpeyi, Ezenwa, Echiejile, Joel,Onazi,Ighalo should be axed based on performance from 23 man list
Odunayaw: Can't we use Ikouwem Udoh for one of AfconQ
Yes Udoh with Duru,Stanley Amuzie and don't forget Deji in Bundesliga,I think we should extend Iwobi and Uzoho treatment to Deji by giving him early invitation, just like Austria did with Alaba.
I guess Shehu is done as a RB for the Eagles. The Lad is a Midfielder, he had covered well when we were lacking, but we've got capable Players for the Position now - Tyrone and Aina.
Thanks to Echiejile for his Services in GWG. We've seen enough of him and we really appreciate him a lot. I hope Scouts of the Eagles do wonderful Job to fish at least a superb LB like Alaba for the Team.
The Team is still OK with Ekong, Balogun, Omeruo and Awaziem as a backup for now. No need for Addition or Subtraction.
Yes RB,Ebuehi and Aina and on the left back we need a left footer player in that position.
Now time to integrate Alampasu,Maduka,Osigwe into eagles fully to complement Uzoho cos Qatar 2022 is not far.
Rohr should do the needful by dropping Akpeyi,Ezenwa, Echiejile,Ighalo,Onazi, and Joel for now until their form warrant call up.
The Awoniyi, Sadiq Umar,Nwakilis,Peter Olayinka,Samuel Kalu,Eze Ebere,Olarewaju,Ajagun and Oyekwuru are ripe for eagles and their call up should start with Afcon qualifier.
It's high time we stop building Super Eagles around the Rookies. Let's forget Eagles painful Exit at the World Cup. AFCON Qualifiers should be a Priority on this Thread now.
I will never advice or support the Closure of this Thread, nor will I call for the Sack of Gernot Rohr, rather gonna hope a competent Assistant is appointed to replace Salisu Yusuf.
More so, I hope Rohr has learned one or two things from this World Cup Experience. I kept imagine what possibly a Combo of Musa and Martins would have produced in a 3 - 5 - 2 Formation?? We can't completely rid off the Team of all our experienced Players who are still balling for their respective Clubs.
We still need Mikel in the Team, so is Martins - cos he's still balling and deadly with Pace as well as in the Box. It's apparent Ahmed Musa excels as a Striker - in 2-Man Attack. I hope Rohr believes in him, and never play him on the Wing again.
Also, Iwobi should be given the No. 10 Role for the Team. I am high confident he's the missing Jigsaw to complete the Puzzle. Etebo ain't suitable for Midfield Role cos he's technically deficient, whereas power and pace ain't much needed in the Midfield but on the Wing.
Mikel played well as a DM/CM, hope Rohr forms a Pivot of him and Ndidi during the AFCON Qualifiers and builds on it. Ogu, Onazi should be replaced with Nwakali Brothers, while Ajagun comes in to replace Joel Obi in the Midfield.
Rohr should fully work on building a formidable Midfield for the Team - indomitable, very technical, decisive, creative Midfield for the Team. Matches are won from Midfield during this Era - Lose the Midfield and lose the Game.
Modified: I will not respond to your Quote(s), except you present Stats and Facts to critique the Post. Enough of being lazy on this Thread. If you have a contrary view, feel free to drop it but in a convincing Manner.
forgiveness: But these are the two players some peeps here want us to drop for some players here. Mtcheeew!
Argentina Coach Names Two Super Eagles Stars Who Can Make The Difference In Future
Published: June 27, 2018
Argentina Coach Names Two Super Eagles Stars Who Can Make The Difference In Future Argentina manager Jorge Sampaoli has named Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses and Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa among the Nigeria players that can make the difference in future tournaments like the African Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
The Super Eagles failed to get the job done after losing 2-1 to the South Americans on Tuesday evening, and it was Moses who scored the only goal for the Africans five minutes into the second half.
Asked by Ayo Olu Ibidapo, a member of the Super Eagles media team, what he expects from the Super Eagles in the next couple of years if the team stayed together, Sampaoli said at the post-match press conference : ''I think that the team has very good players and they know the elements of the game.
''They have players like Musa, Moses, and many other players who can really make the difference in a tournament like this one.
''I believe that with the years, once they get quality players and once they keep playing with those players who are so skilled individually, Nigeria as a team will keep growing.''
Ahmed Musa, 25, became Nigeria's top scorer in World Cup history last week thanks to his brace against Iceland, taking his tally to four goals in the competition.
Bolowolowo: Na wa o, is this true?? Pictures or adonbilivit
Oh do not doubt it cos i remember seeing Ezenwa having pics with FIFA President when the latter came to their dressing room after Iceland match. He was the only one that had photography with FIFA President if i can remember.
I think the guy was just too happy to be at WC.A second choice keeper with NPFL side and Nigeria number two at WC,great achievement.
Joebie: I’m mad at him because he did not hit target at least. Anything could still have happened. The Keeper could have saved it, it could have crashed against the bar, or even deflected for a corner.
Modified The miss wasn’t as bad as Yakubu’s
Even better thanYekini miss against Italy at US 94.Aiyegbeni and Yekini miss are the worst in Nigeria WC history.I think Ighalo miss should rank number three.
ChrisKels: While we are still licking our wound, I want to make a plea to all the old members of this thread and other interesting new members, we can not allow this thread to die now just because we got knocked outta the worldcup. We didn't open this thread just because of the world cup only, we actually did for the love we have for our national teams. So those asking that we shot down the thread can leave if they so desire while we keep supporting our team(s) through this media. Thanks guys

goldfish80: Dont you find it a bit insulting to hear someone say Kelechi was good last night? The overindulgence of these type of talks made the younger posters loose guard of their expectations before the world cup.
charlesemeka85: rohr will be retained so its better you start searching for a transformer to hug
Definitely he will be retained but he need tactically good assistants or else get sack in a disgraceful way.
No excuses at afcon 2019 and remember we already lost to South Africa at home.
Nigerians are not smiling right now o so no need for anyone to hug transformer.Rohr should just tell us he is the right man at afcon 2019 to lead us to Qatar 2022.
goldfish80: This write up is one hell of a poor excuse for the rubbish kelechi played. Very weak defense. I find it odd you have never seen iheanacho play badly either for club or country. If the guy is not paying you to do this online PR then you should stop. Your image is at stake here.
elyte89: They would av been awarded d penalty if it were to happen in our box
Meanwhile, I read somewhere briefly DT FIFA disagree with d referee DT d ball was a penalty, but its too late to revert d decision...I don't know aw true d story is
Even non Nigerians said it was penalty and Drogba said pure penalty.
My senior bro is in Russia presently and said before the match an Englishman told him that FIFA want Messi, meaning Nigeria must raise their game above Argentina.
Fadiga24: Keshi was in a group with Bosnia and Iran, this man was in the group of death but he managed to place above Iceland and almost beat Argentina despite bookmakers prediction
Learn to appreciate a good thing when you have it
Sit it seem you want us to go into Keshi vs Rohr comparison
I can bet it with you Rohr cannot beat Bosnia and beating Iran not realistic, hope you watched Iran in 2014 and 2018.
Keshi would come out of this group with at least 4 point.
Mujtahida: I expected his sub at half time and I was not surprised. I also expected Rohr to bring in Ebuehi for Idowu and then any of the defensive midfielders for Musa at the 80 minutes mark. He didn't do it. Immediately they scored us, he made two subs. Why I can't tell
Mujtahida if not for continuity i want Rohr out cos just too glaring he is a timid type who instill fear in player's mind by given too much respect to his opponents.
goldfish80: The ball hit Rojo's arm from his own header. That's a clear pen everyday of the week. Rojo was clumsy to have made such an error. I've seen such decisions given by Howard Webb and even at the last European championship. If Ekong or Balogun made same error do you think they would have been spared?
The LEGEND of the game,Didier Drogba said it was a pure penalty and Nigeria loss to that singular decision from the referee.EOD.
Munzy14: Serves him right!. He was once there, even ordinary nations cup he couldn't win. Every one claiming master after playing for personal glory. Okocha never contributed tangible something to eagles as a team. He was all personal glory. If it was papilo, eeeeheee we will know say master is talking.
No,Okocha won Afcon 94.
Truly i expect Okocha to say it better as ex player.I remember how he slammed Mikel and telling us his nephew(Alex Iwobi) would have done it better as NO 10 as if not the same Iwobi of Arsenal.
Omeruo's wife should have kept quiet just like Mikel did when Okocha criticised him against Croatia unjustly cos such criticism could bring bad blood between Mikel and Iwobi.
Honestly i expect Mikel to reply Okocha but he did not which is good.
Okocha should do his analysis without hurting the young ones feelings so that the respect they have for him will keep on growing.
Loogan: When you want to defend a cross one of the basics is for your arms not to be lifted, the head is what is needed, rojos arms were so high, he nodded the ball and it hits his arm, how can you say that is not a penalty? This is not ball to hand, he attempted a header he didn’t get the hit and it took a deflection of his hand. If the rules cannot be applied to other wc matches like the Iran potugal match, you cannot justify them enough. The kick on nacho head in the box was without doubt a penalty
Sir,pure penalty, no need to argue it.
On Iheanacho penalty call.I think Iheanacho was unprofessional cos just fallen down straight the moment he got that kick would have been a penalty, check the way Balogun went down and penalty was awarded.
Honestly a good match, hope they will learn from this and move on
klexycole: Sir, you hardly post here without mentioning Nacho. When the said Nacho was on the pitch, what was his impact? Everyone was saying he was poor and all, but didn't say anything about that. I'm very sure if it were another player, you would have massively castigated him.
However, I think the coach was right to have substituted Nacho. If not for Ighalo misses, and he had scored those goals, would you have said the decision was bad?
Please, let's be objective and stop taking sides with these players.
Sir,before the match I posted recent performance of Ighalo and Iheanacho which wasn't good enough but some turned it to Ighalo vs Iheanacho
Imagine our two strikers went goal drought in the last 5 matches before WC and failed to get ordinary assist prior to Argentina match, both were blunt and abysmal against Croatia and Iceland. And what happened against Argentina they failed woefully.
Ighalo and Iheanacho failed us when it matter most though Ighalo miss hurt and i think this is the time for him to quit with the likes of Daniel Akpeyi,Ekene Ezenwa,Ogenyi Onazi,Echiejile Elderson and Joel Obi.
Iheanacho was rated the worst player yesterday.
Ighalo and Iheanacho are the worst Nigeria player at 2018 WC,no sentiment and my candid opinion.
TheGoodJoe: Personally no. Rohr is not creative and attacking enough to take our football to the height we can reach. His match reading skill is not sharp enough to note some basics.
Pulling Nacho out for Ighalo was Reducing the sum of our speed. What we needed was to increase our tempo.
My question, what prompted Iheanacho substitution for woeful Ighalo.
