Jesus said in Luke 17:26-37

26"Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

One's relationship and standing before God have nothing whatsoever to do with race but to do with believing or not believing. In the verses below the death of Christ is seen as applying to the Gentiles universally, firstly in Romans and then in 1 Corinthians, both being specific examples of Gentile believers being addressed:


Romans 5:8

8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.


2 Corinthians 5:14-17

14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

His 'great commission' was also directed towards every nation, which would hardly apply if the salvation offered was not applicable to every nation.

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Jesus Doing What Only God Can Do

Mark chapter 2 opens up with an interesting story about Jesus healing a paralytic man. Notice that Jesus forgives the man’s sins in verse 5 and the reaction of the teachers of the law (the religious experts of the day) in verses 6 and 7.


Mark chapter 2:1-12

1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.
2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.
3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.
4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

The teachers of the law knew that only God could forgive sin. Since the people could not “see” sin being forgiven, Jesus proved He did indeed forgive the man’s sins by supernaturally healing the man’s paralysis (providing visible proof everyone could see). You can also read about this event in Luke 5:17-26. In both cases it is obvious that Jesus is God.

Jesus Is God

We understand that many people agree that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit exist. (I'm sure that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are relieved to hear that! ) These same people may even agree that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are “working together.” However, the followers of several cults are taught that Jesus is “just a prophet,” or “only the son of God”—not God. This wrong viewpoint is easily clarified by looking at Bible verse: Isaiah 9:6,(below).

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The Trinity Is God

Matthew 28:16-20 is a passage referred to as “The Great Commission.” In verse 19, Jesus states, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

Why did Jesus tell his eleven disciples to baptize people in the names of all three members of the Trinity? Why not one or two? It is obvious from this passage that the entire Trinity is God.

I know fully well that God is deeply interested in all people, even those who have no interest in God. God cares for those who don’t care about God. God loves those who wish that God didn’t exist. God is open-minded towards those who are close-minded to Him. When Jesus died on the cross, he died especially for those who want nothing to do with him. If you are still reading this far then, you must be a very open-minded person.

Deuteronomy 29:29

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

There are some things about God we cannot understand on this side of heaven. As this verse states there are secrets that God shares with no one. The mystery of the Trinity is one of them. The Bible teaches us plainly that there is only one God of one essence from eternity past who is manifested in 3 individual persons who have independent intellect, emotion and will. This means that while these three persons who make up the ONE God are infinite God with all of the attributes of deity, yet their individual experiences and choices are unique. This does not mean that these are three individual God's, this means that the ONE God of one essence is manifested in three individual persons. God is Father and Son and Holy Spirit. Take any one of these away and you no longer have the ONE and only True God.

The Trinity is hard to understand because we don't understand how three Gods who are equal is still one God. It is wrong to say that the earth was created by the power of the "WORD". It was created by the power of God. There is also the problem of gender. Since God created us in His image, does it mean that Both the Father is a Man, and the Son is His Son who is also a man, and the Holy Spirit is a Woman?

Jesus said in ( Luke 10:22)

"All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

I hate to hear people argue about THE HOLY TRINITY. The baptism of Jesus explains it all. Thank Xynerio though u say crazy thing but I like u for that reply. When Jesus said I and my father ARE one. The ARE signifies two people in one body. John 1:1-3 says ' In begining was the word(jesus)and the word(Jesus)was with God and the word(Jesus) was God. The same was in the begining with God. All thing were made by him(Jesus)and without him not anything made that was made''.The heaven and the earth would not have been made without him. So he is God the son. May God forgive he who does not believe in the Holy TRINITY. Peace be unto you all.

Its amazing how many of us are happy at this sad development. Kidnapping is very evil scourge, even if its your enemy that's the victim. It's true many of those who have replied this post are joyful, just because they are posting from a safe secure location behind their PC's.

But try to imagine the process of a kidnap being carried out. It most likely would involve a shoot-out and major acts of violence. What if you or one of your loved ones was gunned down by a stray bullet in the process of kidnapping some high profile public enemy politician? I doubt if such a person would reply this post with gladness. Eventually, he'll meet the ransom demand and be freed, while you'd be planning a pre-mature burial ceremony courtesy of the incident. Some people are even suggesting suicide bombing, as if it's only the bomber and the target that would be killed in the process.

Please, lets not call a bad thing good, just because it doesn't affect us directly. Let us pray for ultimate peace in Nigeria, and total eradication

Yes, he was pierced and his blood gushed out. That's significant to we christians but i wont go into the details. However, none of his bones was broken or crushed. read the following:

John19:32-36

The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other.

But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

Proverbs Chapter 3:5-6 reads: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." This is a promise of guidance. God will direct our paths if we fulfil the conditions. What are the conditions?

First of all: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't lean on your own reason and intelligence. It doesn't say there that we should not use our reason or intelligence, but not to depend on it. God created our powers of reasoning and our intelligence. But like God created Eve to be subject to Adam, reason must be subject to the Holy Spirit. A wife is most useful in a home. But if she takes over the headship of the home, there will be chaos - as when Eve took over the headship in Eden and sinned. We have to use our reason (and intelligence) to find God's will, Without our intelligence we would not be able to study God's Word or even live in this world. But we must depend on the Holy Spirit to enlighten our reason. Faith is not contrary to reason but is beyond reason - just like multiplication is not against addition but is beyond addition.

Secondly: Acknowledge God in all your ways. That means to obey every single thing that God reveals to you. Give the Lord first place in every area of your life. Then the Lord will lead you in His perfect will.

Without these two, no one will never understand God

Luke 6:32-34 reads "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
