@Jesou Honestly, before I open this thread, i was only thinking of sending the same text in the Bible.God bless you.You said it all. ![]() |
Good compilation.Thanx bro ![]() |
Proverbs 3:5-6 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. |
Nice one.God bless you ![]() |

In the above answer to your question, you'll understand that the defeat of satan by angel Michael shows that he'd completely lost the battle, Now,he's just like a headless chicken, Repent !Repent !!Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus loves you ![]() |
Prophet Isaiah used the word 'Lucifer' in that context as a sardonic(Mocking) title for the "anti-christ" or satan.Remember,Isa 14:12-15 (NIV) How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. Even angel Michael and some other angels defeated the devil and his angels.Rev 12.7-8:And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (Satan); and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. Contrast to the real Bright Morning Star: He(Jesus) lives humbly, does not boast, is not arrogant, is submissive to the Father, even unto death. Then the Father raises Him to the highest place.Mat 23:12 "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." Make no mistake,'Lucifer' means 'morning star' in Latin and not 'Satan'.And Jesus was and is and will forever be, the Bright morning star not satan.Ok?Good ![]() A few more verses on the Morning Star, our Jesus Christ: John 1:7-9 (NIV) He [John the baptist] came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. Isa 9:2 (NIV) The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. Mt 4:16 (NIV) "The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned." (spot the difference in the last two verses) Isa 60:1-2 (NIV) "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you." John 8:12 (NIV) Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." NB, pls check Prophet Ezekiel's description of satan in my last two posts. He was once a beautiful and powerful angel before he sinned and was chased out of heaven. Now, he's under the feet of those who believe in the Name of Jesus. He trembles at the mention of the Name of Jesus Christ. Now,get thee behind me Satan ![]() |

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Mathew 3:2 |
Luke 17:26-30 26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulphur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. |
". . . there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." (2 Peter 3:3-4.) |
@Ogaga4luv: Firstly, dont assumed anyone that replies you to be your enemy or 'hater'.It is the demon contolling your soul they hate not you as Ogaga.I dont see you as a bad person only that you've given Satan too much chance in your life.I cant blame you 'cos I dont know your background. But I know Satan's background through the word of God.Let me just remind you about some of the things Satan will not want you to know.Read the following: Satan was created as a holy angel. Isaiah 14:12 gives Satan’s pre-fall name as Lucifer. Ezekiel 28:12-14 describes Satan as having been created a cherubim, apparently the highest created angel. He became arrogant in his beauty and status and decided he wanted to sit on a throne above that of God (Isaiah 14:13-14; Ezekiel 28:15; 1 Timothy 3:6). Satan’s pride led to his fall. Notice the many “I will” statements in Isaiah 14:12-15. Because of his sin, God barred Satan from heaven. Satan became the ruler of this world and the prince of the power of the air (John 12:31; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2). He is an accuser (Revelation 12:10), a tempter (Matthew 4:3; 1 Thessalonians 3:5), and a deceiver (Genesis 3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:3). His very name means “adversary” or “one who opposes.” Another of his titles, the devil, means “slanderer.” Even though he was cast out of heaven, he still seeks to elevate his throne above God. He counterfeits all that God does, hoping to gain the worship of the world and encourage opposition to God's kingdom. Satan is the ultimate source behind every false cult and world religion. Satan will do anything and everything in his power to oppose God and those who follow God. However, Satan’s destiny is sealed—an eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10) Think man, heaven and hell is no joke, I dont want you to die as a Satanist.Jesus loves you, John 3:16 ![]() |
@abuzola, 82. Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who idolaters, and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud. @abuzola, Pls can you further explain the above quotation you gave from the quran? Thanx ![]() |
@the seeker, Maybe it's because of the boko harams, Just kidding |
Polygamy A trend toward greater acceptance of sin: As time progresses, American culture becomes acceptant of behaviors that our forefathers would have renounced adamantly. Some of the first behaviors to be accepted culturally were adultery [sex outside the bonds of matrimony], cohabitation [an unwed couple living together], and pornography. Originally considered both shameful and illegal, adultery and cohabitation are now widely practiced and accepted both legally and culturally. Pornography is not only legal, but widely popular in every sector of our society. Abortion has become widely accepted both culturally and legally. Prior to 1973, many people did not even know what abortion was in America . Even after its legalization, most condemned it personally, but often felt it should still be a private decision. Now this atrocity to our unborn is widely accepted and practiced all across America and other countries. Prostitution has become viewed less shamefully than it had in the past. One county in America has legalized prostitution. Homosexuality is now accepted as a normal form of sexuality. First the American Psychiatric Association declared it was no longer a disease. Then the public began to accept it as "normal". And in 2004, the courts said that homosexuals should be allowed to marry one another. The Bible tells us that those who fail to glorify God will accept and practice increasing sin: "Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." [Romans 1:32] Polygamy: the next sin to be accepted? Is polygamy next? After that, what will be the next sins that our society will accept? Shall we also accept group marriages, and pedophilia? Where does it end? What the Bible says: The Bible clearly gives God's intent for marriage and sexuality. God created our bodies for Him, not so that we can do with it whatever we want. God's will is that no one would use their body in any way contrary to His plan. "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body." [I Corinthians 6:13] "Therefore, honor God with your body." [I Corinthians 6:20] God's Plan for sexuality and His definition of marriage: When asked about marriage and divorce, Jesus said, "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." [Matthew 19:4-6; see also Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:31] God defines marriage as a man LEAVING HIS FATHER AND MOTHER and uniting to his wife, so that TWO become one flesh. God created the first marriage relationship: God made Adam, but said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make A helper suitable for him." [Genesis 2:18] Why polygamy is not God's Will or intention for human sexual relationships: You can only leave your parent's household once! Notice that God's definition of marriage involves a man "leaving his father and mother" to be united to his wife. Once a man has left his father and mother's authority and household to marry, he cannot leave that household again! This means that when a man first marries a woman, he does so upon leaving his parent's authority. If he were to subsequently marry another woman, he would not be leaving his parent's authority again, and thus would not fulfill the definition of marriage as outlined in Matthew 19 and Genesis 2:24. God gives us only two other circumstances where a man can marry another woman: 1) If his wife dies [see Romans 7:2-3] 2) If his wife commits adultery [see Matthew 19:8-9] Examples in Scripture: Adam and Eve: God created Adam, and provided for him a single wife. He did not provide multiple wives for him, nor do we have any evidence that Adam ever had another wife. This original marriage relationship powerfully exposes God's intent for mankind's marriage relationships. Noah: Called a "preacher of righteousness" [2 Peter 2:5], Noah was the only family head who was spared during the destruction of the Great Flood. He had but one wife. Job: God called Job "My servant". Though Job was very rich and considered "the greatest man among all the people of the East", he had only one wife. Isaac: The child of the promise had but one wife, Rebekah. Moses: Of all the Old Testament saints, Moses was the closest to God. He spoke to God face to face as a man speaks with his friend [Exodus 33:11]. Moses is also regarded as the greatest of the Old Testament prophets. God Himself even singled out Moses as a special prophet since He spoke to him face to face rather than revealing Himself in visions [Numbers 12:6-8] Moses had only one wife, Zipporah [Exodus 2:21] Joseph and Mary: The Lord's earthly parents are a prime example of a monogamous relationship. Scriptural monogamy: "Each man should have his own wife (singular word), and each woman her own husband (singular word). [I Corinthians 7:2] God's standard of monogamy for Christians is an absolute requirement for anyone who wants to be a deacon in the church: "A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well." [I Timothy 3:12] Questions answered: What about the Old Testament practice of polygamy? The practice of polygamy is clearly found in the Old Testament. Abraham, Jacob, David, and Solomon are prime examples of Old Testament saints who practiced polygamy. But it must be clearly stated that just because they had multiple wives, doesn't make it right! At no time does God condone or place His "seal of approval" upon the polygamous practices of these men. In fact, God warned Solomon well in advance to NOT practice polygamy: Moses' instruction to Solomon generations in advance: Deuteronomy 17:14-20 is God's warning against the polygamist practices of Solomon. After stating that the king [Solomon] is not to get riches from Egypt, nor to amass silver or gold, Moses says, "He must not take many wives" [Deut 17:17]. Polygamy brought problems!: Abraham's household was fractured because of jealousy between Hagar and Sarah. Jacob also endured spousal rivalry. David's adulterous tendencies was his downfall, as he approached Bathsheba. Solomon's many wives were a snare to him and drew him into idol worship. Why didn't God providentially stop polygamy, or outright rebuke these men for practicing it? This question has plagued many readers when considering the issue of polygamy. The fact is that many other sins of the patriarchs went unmentioned by God. Abraham's half-lies about his wife Sarah's relationship to him, Lot's selfishness in choosing the better land, Jacob's scheming, David's lies in the land of the Philistines, and many more sins went unmentioned in a specific manner by God. God expects each man and woman to examine his or her own heart and life and to compare it with Scripture diligently to determine if his or her actions and motives are pure and right. We should not expect a word from the Lord on each and every thing we do. Sometimes, even chronic sins remain in a saint who has not become acutely aware of his sinful behavior. In summary, the lack of a specific rebuke by God is in no way to be taken as an acceptance or condoning by Him of the behavior. As christians, we should always remember that old things have passed away. 2Cor 5:17 reads:Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. ![]() |
What is the significance of the transfiguration of Jesus Christ? "After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There He was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, 'Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters - one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.' (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.) Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: 'This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!' Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus. As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead" (Mark 9:2-9). The account of the transfiguration of Jesus Christ as recorded here in Mark (parallel passages are found in Matthew 17:1-3 and Luke 9:28-36) is a demonstration to three witnesses that Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be. In all three accounts of the transfiguration of Jesus Christ, we are given the names of the three disciples who accompanied Jesus and who stood as human witnesses to the glory that was Christ's. There were also three heavenly witnesses, Moses, Elijah, and the voice of God from heaven. Therefore, the Old Testament law of three witnesses required to attest to any fact (Deuteronomy 19:15) was satisfied both in earth and in heaven. The word "transfigured" is a very interesting word. The Greek word is "metamorpho" and it means to transform, literally or figuratively to metamorphose, or to change. The word is a verb that means to change into another form. It also means to change the outside to match the inside. The prefix "meta" means to change and the "morphe" means form. In the case of the transfiguration of Jesus Christ it means to match the outside with the reality of the inside. To change the outward so that it matches the inward reality. Jesus' divine nature was "veiled" (Hebrews 10:20) in human form and the transfiguration was a glimpse of that glory. Therefore, the transfiguration of Jesus Christ displayed the Shekinah glory of God incarnate in the Son. The voice of God attesting to the truth of Jesus' Sonship was the second time God's voice was heard. The first time was at Jesus' baptism into His public ministry by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:7; Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22). Therefore, the transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a unique display of His divine character and a glimpse of the glory, which Jesus had before He came to earth in human form. This truth is emphasized for us in a passage in the Apostle Paul's letter to Phillippi. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form (morphe) of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form (morphe) of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:5-11). The Son of God came to earth in the form of a man to be the true servant of God and to gift mankind with the greatest gift ever given, eternal life. The transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a visible sign in the presence of reliable witnesses of the reality of the power of God and the glory, which is Christ Jesus. |
The Parable of the Weeds Mathew 13:24-29 24Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?' 28" 'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?' 29" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' " Furthermore, Matthew 13:10-16 10The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" 11He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: " 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'[a] 16But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. |
WHO IS AN ANTICHRIST OR 'ANTI-JESUS' 1 John 2:18-19 "Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us." 1 John 2:22-23 "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also." 1 John 4:2-3 "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world." 2 John 1:7 "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist." Take this test to see if you are an "antichrist": 1. Do you actively teach or simply believe that Jesus Christ never walked the earth, but was a mythological figure? 2. Do you actively teach or simply believe there was a man named Jesus Christ, but he did not actually raise from the dead? 3. Do you actively speak out against or simply believe Christianity is a false religion? 4. Jesus said, "He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters" Matthew 12:30. Are you an atheist or agnostic who is indifferent and non-religious? Then you too are an "antichrist"! The Bible term "antichrist" could be simply understood to be equivalent to being a "non-believer." The "antichrist" then, has no horns or red glowing eyes. Neither is the "antichrist" some demon possessed super-intelligent human clone. Rather, the "antichrist" is that sweet elderly woman/man, young lady/gentleman, living next door who openly teaches the neighborhood kids that Jesus was just a myth. |
1 John 2:22-23 "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also." ![]() |

JESUS CHRIST'S SUFFERING He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death." (Mt 26:37-38) WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS He was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Is 53:3 (See all of Isaiah 53) Because He suffered as a man, He cried out with tears to His Father. Heb 5:7-8 People spat at Him, hit Him, and mocked Him. Mt 26:67-68, Mt 27:27-32, Mt 27:36-44, Lk 23:8-11 He was crucified. Mt 27:27-56, Mk 15:16-41, Luke 23:26-49, Jn 19:1-37 On the cross, He was forsaken (or felt forsaken) by His Heavenly Father, whom He was obeying. Lk 12:50, Mt 17:12, Mt 16:21, Mt 17:22-23, Mt 20:17-19, Mk 10:32-34, Lk 9:43-45, Lk 18:31-34 As a man, He dreaded the terrible trial ahead. Mt 26:36-38, Lk 22:39-54 (See in context: Mt 26:36-56, Mk 14:32-42, Lk 22:39-54) Even before His crucifixion, He had no earthly dwelling that He regarded as home. Lk 9:57-58 He felt physical weariness. Jn 4:6 He suffered the anguish of temptation just as we do. Heb 4:14-16, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:13 He felt deep compassion for those in need. Mt 9:36-38, Mk 6:34 He wept when Lazarus died. Jn 11:33-37 He wept over Jerusalem because the people were blind to their coming destruction - and to His salvation. Lk 19:41-44 People did not understand His loving sacrifice - that He would die for their sins. Is 53:8 (See all of Isaiah 53) He was misunderstood by His own hometown and relatives. Mk 6:3-6 He had no stately form or majesty that people would be attracted to Him. Is 53:2, Is 52:13-15 (See all of Isaiah 53) He was despised by men. Is 53:3 (See this verse in context: Isaiah 53) He was betrayed by a close friend (Judas). Jn 13:21, Lk 22:2-6, Lk 22:47-48, Mt 26:47-50, Mt 26:14-16 At the peak of His suffering, even His disciples forsook Him and fled. Mt 26:56 (See in context: Mt 26:36-56) People hated Him without a cause. Jn 15:22-25, Jn 7:6-8 People falsely attributed His works as Satan's. Mt 12:23-24, Mk 3:21-23, Lk 11:14-16 People thought that He had a demon. Jn 8:48-59 He was falsely classified as a glutton and a winebibber. Mt 11:18-19 Men despised Him and nations abhorred Him. Is 49:6-7 He was turned away. Mt 8:34, Mk 5:17, Lk 8:37 His own people, whom He created, did not receive Him. Jn 1:10-13 They thought He was out of His mind. Mk 3:21-23 Leaders plotted against Him. Mt 22:15, Mt 26:3-5, Mk 3:6, Mk 11:19, Lk 20:20, Jn 5:15-18, Jn 11:57 Even before the crucifixion, people attempted to kill Him. Lk 4:28-30 Knowing the murderous intentions of the spiritual leaders, He sometimes had to withdraw. Mt 12:14-15, Lk 13:31, Jn 7:1 Even as small child, His life was sought, and His family had to leave their own country. Mt 2:13-15 Note: He endures all the pains because he loves you and me. 'Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma'. Ephesians 5:2 |
Isaiah 53 (Prophesy and Vision of Prophet Isaiah about Jesus Christ ) 1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD revealed his powerful arm? 2 My servant grew up in the LORD's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. 3 He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows* that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all. 7 He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. 8 Unjustly condemned, he was led away.* No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream.* But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. 9 He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man's grave. 10 But it was the LORD's good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD's good plan will prosper in his hands. 11 When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. 12 I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels. |
Satanism=Truth? Impossible, Jesus is the only Truth Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me-John 14:6 Satan is also called the "father" of all lies. Why? Because from the beginning he was a liar! Jesus put it best(to the pharisees): "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44 Jesus loves you, ![]() |
Who Is Jesus Christ? Christ Meaning: anointed, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word translated “Messiah” Christ is the official title of our Lord, occurring 1,514 in the New Testament. It denotes that he was anointed or consecrated to his great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of his people. He is Jesus the Christ (Acts 17:3; 18:5; Matt. 22:42), the Anointed One. He is thus spoken of by Isaiah (61:1), and by Daniel (9:24-26), who describes him as “Messiah the Prince.” The Messiah is the same person as "the seed of the woman" (Gen. 3:15), "the seed of Abraham" (Gen. 22:18), the "Prophet like unto Moses" (Deut. 18:15), "the priest after the order of Melchizedek" (Ps. 110:4), "the rod out of the stem of Jesse" (Isa. 11:1, 10), the “Immanuel,” the virgin's son (Isa. 7:14), "the branch of Jehovah" (Isa. 4:2), and “the messenger of the covenant” (Mal. 3:1). This is he "of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write." The Old Testament Scripture is full of prophetic declarations regarding the Great Deliverer and the work he was to accomplish. Jesus the Christ is Jesus the Great Deliverer, the Anointed One, the Savior of men. This name denotes that Jesus was divinely appointed, commissioned, and accredited as the Savior of men (Hebrews 5:4; Isa. 11:2-4; 49:6; John 5:37; Acts 2:22). To believe that "Jesus is the Christ" is to believe that he is the Anointed, the Messiah of the prophets, the Savior sent of God, that he was, in a word, what he claimed to be. This is to believe the gospel, by the faith of which alone men can be brought unto God. That Jesus is the Christ is the testimony of God, and the faith of this constitutes a Christian (1 Cor. 12:3; 1 John 5:1) ![]() |
2 Peter 3:8–9 reads: ‘But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’ So my friend, you are one of those delaying his coming ![]() |

In support of the above text from Romans 14, my humble advice for those that pays tithe and non-tithers are the same.If your 'spirit' tells u that paying tithe is wrong, please dont pay tithe. And please, dont feel guilty. That will not prevent u from not going or going to heaven.Remember,ROMANS 14 v 22,' You may believe there's nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God.Blessed are those who don't feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right'. On the other hand,if your 'spirit' tells you that by paying tithe (i.e 10% of your income), you are doing the right thing, please don't feel guilty.Remember,ROMANS 14 V 22,'You may believe there's nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God.Blessed are those who don't feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right'. Romans 14 v 4 says,'Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval. NB; 'Someone else's' may be replace by 'Jesus Christ' in the above statement. Peace |
Romans 14 The Danger of Criticism 1 Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.2 For instance, one person believes it's all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.3 Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don't. And those who don't eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval. 5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.6 Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.7 For we don't live for ourselves or die for ourselves.8 If we live, it's to honor the Lord. And if we die, it's to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.9 Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead. 10 So why do you condemn another believer*? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.11 For the Scriptures say, "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.*'" 12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.13 So let's stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. 14 I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.15 And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love if you eat it. Don't let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died.16 Then you will not be criticized for doing something you believe is good.17 For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.18 If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.19 So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. 20 Don't tear apart the work of God over what you eat. Remember, all foods are acceptable, but it is wrong to eat something if it makes another person stumble.21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else if it might cause another believer to stumble.22 You may believe there's nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who don't feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right.23 But if you have doubts about whether or not you should eat something, you are sinning if you go ahead and do it. For you are not following your convictions. If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning. ![]() |
