In this age and time you aim to deliver value even if it does not translate to money immediately. I have referred persons or businesses after diligently helping a client to make an informed decision. A client is also hoping to meet a person or business who's bottom line is more than money. He needed a dog. From his description of the type of dog needed even though I'm no breeder, I will not recommend a cauc. He could have been guided better rather than just trying to sell what you have at all cost. For all those saying Google, you get to a point your customer trusts you not to only sell to but give the advise in their own best interest. Furthermore, Bobby is brash and does not know how to treat customers even if that customer may have misunderstood intentions. That brashness even shows by his disdain for anyone or anything /comments that does not agree with him. Good that someone picked up the dog and original owner gave it away, he now asks for papers which was promised as in its a blood line. Bobby dodges, tries to trivialize it and then goes aggressive cos he asked. Again rather than accept he lied about this part of his pitch he descends into a persecution complex. In case you think I'm a hater Bobby I'm not. I just say it as it is. |
For starters the title is wrong. Everything goes out of fashion. The fact that there existed marketing on only a physical platform a few years back, the advent of digital marketing and the new of DIGICAL marketing, fusion of the traditional and the new shows that technology eventually has a bearing on our lifestyles and eventually how value choices are made. Having read quite a few of the comments we must note that there's a difference between push communication ( text messages from companies, banners on websites, emails and posts on social media) and self selected content (product or service reviews, recommendations from users and direct interactions with users). The later is where we must take our digical marketing to. It is also important to know where your customers are so you use the right platform and not go shouting where your admirers are not based. Whatsoever you do as you develop content ensure you position yourself or brand as a thought leader in that business. Ensure also that your message or content is creating and delivering value not just a babbling of how you do what you do. The question on the mind of your audience is.... What value am I getting out of all this. Finally, remember that as you create awareness, build relationships that will help you generate leads for future business opportunities. Peace. |
Absolute rubbish. It shows the level of ignorance in leadership positions. They don't even recognize that this alone is actually scaring investors. Ability to remit profit to country of origin is a country specific advantage and a strong consideration for FDI. Smh |
CSTR5:I will not indulge you. I'll be a disappointment to you too because I'm not interested in the blind party affiliations war that goes on here. The bottom line is you will not see what you have chosen to be blind to even if it sat atop your nose. Peace. |
I have an impeccable command of the English language. I speak with no underlying or detectable Nigerian accent. I don't speak the language of my father. In all I do not look down on any one who speaks English with an accent especially if it's not his first language. Yes the interview is with subtitles but it does not in any way belittle the integrity and soul of the speaker, this time in the person of GMB. With all that has come to the fore in last couple of months I'd rather have a president with an accent in his spoken English that shows strength sincerity empathy committed to ridding Nigeria of its vices than a spineless PhD holder with no balls asleep on his watch while his team members had their hands permanently in the Teal. That reminds me... 'how much did Jim Nwobodo stole' |
I do not like the blame game. But I also do not like those that have entrenched themselves in political pits not to know that their man and hero messed up big time. His actions and inactions will take a long time to be cleansed or erased. I'm making no excuses for this government and I'm no party entrenched supporter but only a Nigerian that wants Nigeria to work. I observe the present president's rigidness to new ideas and ways. He has a military background. It's not an excuse. But I'm willing to cut him some slack. I also respect his firmness and toughness so much so that the legislators that sent him a budget to sign with threats that if he doesn't they will do their worst. He kept quiet, stuck to his guns that some changes to align with original intentions must be brought back in. The legislature with tails in between their legs realigned that budget and brought it for signing. They knew he wasn't going to bribe his way to have it done and they did. This shows strength and character. In the midst of all this and the Avalanche of revelations of how they were carrying on in the past I will not wish that we go back there. They that sat while oil rallied at so much highs and didn't plan for today but rather shared it amongst themselves not thinking of today are a set of most wicked human beings. I don't even call it corruption. It's pure plain wickedness. |

I laugh. Not at Omawunmi first of all but at all people here saying the journalist had no right to ask the question or any other questions. At Omawunmi's level she should know if it was better to sponsor the interview by packaging it to her own taste or go out there and be a sitting target. Bulls eye doesn't come with much effort with that. For people that don't know any journalist can ask you any question. You have the right to answer the question or not or even parry it and water down the atmosphere by turning it into a joke. Furthermore you go and be interviewed where you can best get mileage, be pampered or be prepared for ballistics. Obama, being a savvy and extremely intelligent person walked into a fox news interview. At a point he had to tell the interviewer... Let me finish. He knew fox was a hot GOP arena and acquitted himself very very well. In fact at the end of the interview, the interviewer looked him in the eye with a hint of respect that he was just doing his job. I'm not here to defend Omawunmi's lifestyle as I know her a bit more than from the surface. It is also her life if she does any of what was asked. Like we don't already know. However, she wasn't smart by the way she handled it. Infact she was immature and should know better. Her PR team don't even know their onions. The price of being a celebrity is that you've put yourself in public domain. You can ride the fame well or it will devour you. Recent events show what and how the media can affect lives careers and even marriages. That's why some engage a media team to manage it for them. Finally, you could choose to be like Enya, queen of the Irish pop scene. Worth $54M leaving alone in a castle with her cats. If you ask me.... Na who I go ask. |
I am also not a dog whisperer but I agree with you that this dog has been deeply traumatized. I may suggest you look for ways and means to get it to socialize with mature calm and likeable dogs to make new bonds of friendship and just maybe it might recover. You may also consider selling or giving it out to someone that knows what happened and is also interested in helping it recover from the trauma. The environment may not be suitable for a quick or good recovery as it puts back the picture of play with the late dog and the trauma it witnessed together constantly playing a back and forth. If you choose to deal with the situation on your own in same environment you will need loads of patience and love for this dog. Cheers. |
I have read so much on this but I have refrained from either discussing it in person or on social media. However Uti or whatever his name is just pricked me. Trying to ask people to refrain from the food that was served in the public domain. I personally take no sides in the matter and I'm not also interested in what they choose to do about it. It's their business and let them deal with as they choose. But Uti should rather keep his mouth shot as no one went into their bedroom to bring out the info flying around. One party even arranged an interview, camera rolling and Uti blaming people for making comments. Usually I'm a much nicer person BUT UTI SHOULD GO AND SIT DOWN. |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested some bankers. It plans to haul in some oil barons who contributed $115m (N23, 299,705,000billion) to bribe some Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials. The officials were to alter the results of the election in which President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) beat then incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. The owner of an oil company, Leno Olaitan Adesanya, yesterday reported at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja for interrogation. He was however asked to go to the commission’s office in Lagos for questioning. Two others, who have been summoned by the EFCC, were said to have gone underground and incommunicado. The EFCC has recovered N408.7million from some of the beneficiaries of the slush funds. Fidelity Bank refunded N49.7million, its profit from the disbursement of the N23.29billion provided by former Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke. Some former and serving INEC officials in Oyo and Ogun states refunded N359millon. More officials of INEC were said to have rushed to the EFCC to refund the bribe given to them. The EFCC team has intensified its investigation into the scandal. It was learnt that besides INEC officials in the 36 states, the EFCC has invited the owners of the oil firms which contributed $88.35million of the $115million sent to Fidelity Bank by the ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources. One of the four oil firms implicated in the bribery saga has been linked to former Governor of Delta State, who is serving a jail term in the United Kingdom, James Ibori. It was gathered that the oil companies were mandated by Mrs. Alison-Madueke to part with $88.35million as their contribution to Dr. Jonathan’s campaign. Some of the oil chiefs were shocked by the findings of the EFCC that their donations were deployed in bribing INEC officials, The Nation learnt. An EFCC source, who spoke in confidence, said:”Our investigation into the N23.29billion bribe has reached a critical stage. Six teams are working round the clock in all the geopolitical zones. “The top officials of Fidelity Bank in custody have made statements, including the list of all beneficiaries and bank details of payments made to them. “We are likely to arrest more suspects, especially the oil chiefs who provided about $88.35million of the $115million lodged in Fidelity Bank for conversion to naira. “One of the clues we are probing is the likelihood of these funds being laundered by the oil firms and their owners. “If these clues are proven, they may eventually face trial for money laundering. We will surely interact with these oil magnates. “Some oil companies are under surveillance for their covert operation in diverting taxes and revenue meant for the Federal Government to fund campaigns. You can now understand why some of them were given tax waivers.” The source added: “One of the oil chiefs, Leno Olaitan Adesanya, reported at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja but he has been directed to go to the Lagos office. “We are expecting him for grilling on Friday (today). We have invited other oil chiefs, but two of them have gone underground. We will fish them out wherever they are.” Fidelity Bank and some former and serving officials of INEC have refunded about N408.7million to the EFCC. While the bank refunded N49.7million, some former and serving INEC officials in Oyo and Ogun states paid back N359millon A top EFCC source said: “While scrutinizing their records, we discovered that Fidelity Bank made a profit of N49.7million from the disbursement transactions made in all its branches nationwide. The management of the bank on Thursday refunded the profit while we are continuing the investigation into other funds. “Some former and serving INEC officials in Oyo and Ogun have paid back N359million to EFCC. What happened was that while N802m was voted for bribery of INEC officials and NGOs in Oyo State to change presidential poll results, about N629m was dished out in Ogun State, “But some of these beneficiaries in Oyo and Ogun were suspicious of the sources of the funds. They cooperated and went to the designated Fidelity Bank branches and collected the cash. Instead of spending it, they sought the service of lawyers who advised them to open accounts to keep the money in case there are issues in the future. “When this matter came up, the lawyers assisted in locating the funds and the N359million was refunded. “We are working on other beneficiaries to recover the slush funds.”.... He will soon go to try and get the stoppage of his CCT trial at sports arbitration court or basketball court. ![]() |
Someone jokingly said recently that the only place remaining for Sasaki to go to in order to stop his case at the CCT is the basketball court. I thought he said recently he was happy the trial can begin. On thing I've noticed recently is that after rebuttals that no wrong was done when the news breaks out it becomes so difficult for those vehemently shouting they had done no wrong, now actually don't want to the case to go on so that they can prove they haven't done any wrong. If you ask me Sasaki has a very bad case. I think he and his lawyers know it too that's why it may be only the basketball court left for them to go to. |

Sorry but this write up is kindergarten material in Management. It is shouldn't have made front page and mislead people into thinking they've learnt what they'd probably use at work tomorrow to show they know something about Management. If anyone tries to do that hope you don't run into someone that's current with Management and leadership thinking. You'd be taken to the cleaners. What was made available above would have been news if it was put up in 1952. ![]() |

EduRegard:Well one of the few times on nl I'll have to publicly admit that some don't have brains. If they do it's definitely gone awol. On the other hand I know contracts are awarded to professional cleaning firms or supposedly so. However, these companies are owed for so long and if they are not owed the the airport Management don't insist on standards being kept. As it is with most public infrastructure the inept airport Management get to keep their job as they know nothing will happen. A few weeks back as I waited to boarded a flight at the Margaret Ekpo International airport in calabar I saw janitors up a platform trying to clean the glass wall. No harness, gloves, helmets or protective gear. I shook my head in disbelief. The fact is we have people with little or no knowledge in managing Facilities expectedly in charge of these Facilities. In addition they don't just care. Mind you it's really not that difficult. |

If I get it right a summary was sent to him for signing without details. It is best practice that when sending a document for consideration and approval ( signing) the details MUST accompany the summary. This is to allow the approving authority to have the latitude to check if he so decides to anything and take full responsibility once it's signed. As they say, THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS. The president is right to ask for details before signing. He didn't give them, the National assembly, a summary for consideration in the first place. I remember some years back when the House cajoled late President Yardua to sign the budget and that they will consider an amendment later. He did. Only for the late president's team to be accused of implementing another budget or selectively doing so. His team being impatient with the House for backing out of the earlier promise to amend that budget earlier had issued a list of what should be done and not to be done as they had expected the house to do as promised which they never did. Even I will not sign a summary sheet(s) without details attached. IT'S A NO BRAINER. |

I was shocked to see the overcrowded stadium and very unsafe set up. Shocking too was that the governor and sports minister were in attendance and didn't flinch at the brazen disaster that could have occurred. I tuned in to another channel cos I cringed whenever the pictures of the crowd were flashed. It's now evident that those we have as leaders don't even know the basics of safety not to talk of the operatives in uniform and all. It also shows there was no safety Management plan for that match as the stadium should been closed once capacity was reached and people turned back. If it was not possible to turn people back the match should have been called off or held back until the conditions and setting were certified safe. In saner climes the stadium manager, governor and minister should have been called to resign immediately as the sat and watched while their citizens were in harms way and did not intervene. I guess they have planned condolence visits already to say down unperturbed by the real danger and disaster that was begging to happen. |
