Wow... Komekn with another gaffe screamer. You jumped into the water before you could learn how to swim. You are about to drown in your overinflated ego. I watched the game you obviously did not that's my personal opinion. Camavinga plays as a Midfielder, against weak Tunisia he was out of his depth and was easily found out ,he was a makeshift LB. Statistical data in isolation says nothing beyond the indicative, without watching the match and seeing things in context it's really nonsense. My opinion shared my many who know, not like you who doesn't.

codemaniacs: I did not blanket millions of Nigerians born outside Nigeria ( not outside UK ) as haters of Nigeria...
I said "unlike you and other foreign born Nigerians that's always badmouthing and denigrating anything Nigeria"... this means a profile of Nigerians born outside Nigeria that bad mouth and denigrate the country and they are definitely not into millions of Nigerians.
you have comprehension issues..
this is not a politics thread..
the vast majority of Nigeria's born and or brought up outside Nigeria don't know anything about Nigeria other than what they hear on their news stations which is mostly denigrating and bad news about Africa and that's also one of the reasons the foreign born players won't openly declare to play for Nigeria..
you are the problem and you are the one that needs redemption and emancipation....
there is no ethnicity called Nigerian... so in reality there are no Nigerians and that means there's no Nigeria....
the place called Nigeria.. is a place where different ethnic nations legally take resources of richer ethnic nations due to Ironsi abolishing regionalism...
so the corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity you see in Nigeria today started in 1966/1967 because Ironsi's ethnic nation ( Igbo nation ) accused other ethnic nations of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity which did not exist and was not their place to do so because they had and still have their own region and revenue to develop themselves and their region's infrastructure but they decided to kill the leaders of other ethnic nations and destroy the regionalism system that would have made the entire southern Nigeria stupendously wealthy...
People that accuse other people of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity only do so because they want the power and position of the person they are accusing...
In Nigeria, people put ethnicity first...
so I am Yoruba first and not Nigerian..
so I can't be a Nigerian problem because I don't see myself as a Nigerian and as long as I am not wishing d:eath and d:estruction on other ethnic nations then I am okay... I don't concern myself with what happens outside SW Nigeria and I don't accuse politicians outside the SW of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity because its not my place to do so and I don't expect people that are not Yoruba to accuse Yoruba politicians of corruption, ineptitude, favouritism, mediocrity... You are ignorantly recalcitrant, you know nothing and assume something you know nothing about. Consider the excerpts in bold you have exposed and CONFIRMED yourself, you are THE NIGERIAN PROBLEM. Tribalistic bigot. I am PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN FIRST , I am totally detribalised I speak ️ Igbo ,my own language Isoko/Uhrobo, limited Yoruba and of course Warri pidgin wella. I know more about Nigeria than you think , i went to two Russel group universities with the sons and daughters and grand children of the Nigerian Corrupt political elite, Ex Presidents, General, Governors, Ministers ,etc. I witnessed first hand the brazen disgusting ostentatious wanton reckless spending of Nigeria public resources. By their children, I met some of their parents but I have no FELLOWSHIP with thieves and looters. I was in Nigeria for 7 months last yearvover the stringent lockdown in the UK. YOU ASSUME TOO MUCH. He who knows not but thinks that he is ,is what ❓ Let the gallery Judge you, quintessential Nigerian PROBLEM, l rest my case. |

Your proposition about Aina being better is a different discussion which I am not talking about right now. Context was the AFCON and Aina was comprehensively better than Collins at that TIME. Fast forward Collins Aina has been on a progression continuously but Collins is on a downard spiral from relegation to German 2nd tier and continuous, injury is part of your football equation. |

AndSunGorilla: My thinking may be flawed but I feel a full local coach without any foreign exposure may be intimidated by the players. Because at least our retired players can point to their careers and a couple of them made some money too in their hey days, but a local coach who may never have earned N2m a month in his life may just feel intimidated. The players could even claim that the coach is unaware of modern tactics etc and never exposed to world class training methods. Although you make this in bold as a an assumption in the negative. I see it as a statement of fact, some of our players are getting coached by the best Managers in the world, with the best facilities and a comprehensive support network of multiple professionals. For most of our local coaches that's like a a whole world away from where they are . So it's more or less fact that our local coaches will not know as much as as some of the players they are trying to coach. Blind man leading those with eyes comes to mind. I know of two Nigerian international who were willing to pay and foot the bill for a defensive coach to help the SE. But were flatly rejected by the NFF , to them the NFF coaches were inept. This is not hearsay but first hand. |

Danielnino00: The problem is that as a national team coach, when you start calling players because you feel they suit your style, people will talk, especially if the player doesn't play in a fancy league.. Like Eguavon calling up Nwakali and Ndah because they are players who can keep possession well and distribute good passes..We saw such qualities when they played the AFCON.. People said na egunje.. Meanwhile, Rohr was selecting some players over others because they suited his conservative style of play.. For instance, Shehu was preferred often times ahead of Aina..Collins retuned from an injury at the 2019 AFCON and immediately displaced Aina who was having a good tournament from the starting eleven... Surprisingly, we didn't hear accusations of egunje You justify the unjustifiable and are blinded to the obvious by your favouritism and double standard. Eguavon did not call up Nwakali he was foisted upon the team by the powers that be. Shehu was not oustanding there were and still are far better players. Collins selection over Aina was not based on football ⚽ performance and or ability. Aina had the best statistics over all our defenders in that AFCON although he did not get the highest amount of game time. Aina was and is still way better than Collins irrespective of the fact that he not naturally left footed. Aina is currently in the January transfer window wanted by a plethora of EPL clubs. Jamilu Collins is now in Cardiff but is struggling to get a game even get in the bench . Meanwhile Seyi Ojo who is haven't mentioned for over 4 seasons is a regular at Cardiff and not good enough for the SE. |

This is a guy of unquestionable integrity without blemish and a very good management and player record. He is not hungry he has substantial Wealth and is a born again Christian. He accepted the position but declined when they asked him to share his salary with NFF officials, he quite rightly was abhorrent and refused in no uncertain terms. Nigeria can attract the best Managers in the world but our reputation precedes us. And there are many here that will defend the NFF and say they are not corrupt. |

COOL10: My brother, Nigeria has the clout to attract proven winners. We're bloody fvcking Nigeria for crying out loud. Yes I agree that we've lost our claim as the Giants of Africa but we're no small nation.
What you'll say is that there's an incredible rot in our system, fueled by irredeemable corrupt individuals that only care for their pockets and won't let the 'proven winner' coach do his job.
The only reason someone like Harve Renard for example would reject the Super Eagles job is because of the obvious corruption within the NFF, coupled with their love for owing coaches their salaries but to say Nigeria doesn't have the clout to attract a 'proven winner' coach (perhaps Harve Renard) is false. Agreed without question ❓ |

even though they were born outside Morocco they see themselves first as Moroccans not as their nation of birth and unlike you and other foreign born Nigerians that's always badmouthing and denigrating anything Nigeria... they do not badmouth and denigrate their country...
the major thing wrong with the SE is the GoalKeeper position... the other things wrong with the SE is player discipline and player selection..
the SE players don't drop deep to defend and even the strikers don't drop deep to the midfield and also drop to the defense...
Once Morocco is not in possession all their players drop deep to defend and that's something this current SE does not do and does not train itself to do... You are the quintessential personification of the Nigerian problem. I'm not sure if it's your education,or limited exposure to see things in blinded negative parochial view. You are the ones that will support a view based on affiliation not substance, subjective over objective. You create a unit of measurement to appraise those whose views you favour in isolation. Consider the bold to the educated illiterate and narrow minded, criticism is an attack not an opportunity to appraise accept and move forward. The acceptance of FAILURE is the beginning of SUCCESS, the denial is the continuation of FAILURE. You clearly lack understanding, exposure and take comfort in crass ignorance. Your diction betrays you . Unfortunately perception is birthed from personal perspective not substance or factual evaluation. With regards to crass ignorance and prejudice you are incorrigible. If I ask you to give me one instance of where I have denigrated my country and or presented misinformation and disinformation you will EVADE. But for the sake of this open discourse I challenge you now. I doubt if you have travelled outside your limited socio political local village area. Blueelf: It doesn't matter what club you play for, the league you ply your trade in, there's just this monster you transform into when you don the national lteam colors of your country because of one thing; PASSION
Those Moroccans want to die if need be on that pitch. Look at Maguire playing god-mode football because of the passion he has for repping England
Can the same thing be said for our boys? They are more interested in the hailings of "Senior man, Senior Man" they get in every hotel they lodge in Nigeria than they are in playing
I'm not even surprised if thorough investigations reveal that some players have bought and secured a spot in the teams starting eleven or 23 because I don't understand why our players attitude stinks to high heavens
Na force them dey Force you to play for your country? There are many ajegunle boys that told me that if they were given an assignment to man mark Messi in a game for naija to secure national team spot, they don't mind dying and shedding their blood for it (I know this is a bit extreme but you get my point)
It's high time we invite players based on passion and form in the national team colors than our overgrown "Senior Men"
It will not be better from you any players that bought his way in the team. Both him and the bribe receiver will not know peace. The club they ply their trade in will sack them and they will become church rats for making a nuisance of our football. Amen!!
Yea, I said ir I understand what you are saying but think there are very difficult questions without clear cut answers. For instance; What's the unit of measurement for passion, commitment, loyalty belief and humility. These are Very subjective and perceptive based deductions open to abuse. What creates identity a sense of belonging and inclusion that creates cohesiveness loyalty and undying commitment. In my limited experience all these multi dimensional factors created outside primarily of the group, team. Leaders inspire and motivates, builds up and is not just honest but seen to be honest fair and of unquestionable integrity. Just as at our political level there has been wide spread comprehensive failure of leadership, where nepotism, tribalism, religious discrimination and mediocrity thrive. With a very big dose of endemic institutionalised corruption. That characteristic is seen in every government public institution , why should the NFF be different. Go to Morocco and it's close to being a European nation by infrastructure both physical and socio -ecomomic political . These things impact on everything they do including Thier football. Until we deal with out multi faceted cancers ,we will struggle to replicate what Morocco had done. |
