Sometimes is to just read some comments and pass.
Inspite of corruption and eneptitude of our leaders,
We have nothing to prove to any one that we are a big footballing nation.
bad leadership and bad economy r d major problem we have been facing for long, affecting our development, progress and success as footballing nation.
That's not an accolade or commendation but an indictment.

Look at the 2009 World cup in Nigeria , Brazil was knocked out quite early. In the Brazil team was Neymar and Coutinho, to name a few.

How far did our players with their manufactured ages get to ❓ Omeruo and co.

In fact for all our domination at youth level how far did those players the vast majority are nowhere to be seen.

it happens everywhere, players slip through the fingers of selectors, arsenal let Harry Kane go because they thought he wasn’t good enough, even Tottenham didn’t really rate him till he grabbed his chances
It's not unique to Nigeria.

Mbappe went on trial at Chelsea as 12 year old but was rejected it's not news.

Manchester United let Pogba go for nothing barely three years later they bought him for €100 million.

Wolfsburg let Osimhen go and he went on trials with Brugge and Zulte but was rejected.

Eberechi was released by Millwall not good enough within 6 month's of that rejection he was playing in first team for QPR.

Tottenham almost left Harry Kane go he was not rated most of his loan spells were anonymous.

There are also players signed for big money who flopped big time Sanchez comes to mind leaves Arsenal to Manchester United and flops big time.

When you worship mediocrity then you’ll become delusional.

Do you want to be delusional ? My friend

We lost to Portugal folks were angry because they thought we should have won ??

Why would we beat a top tier and well drilled team like Portugal give me a reason ??

We think that way because we’re delusional and allowed mediocrity to cloud our judgement.

Imagine calling chukwueze and etebo world class that’s delusional.

Imagine putting hope in ekong that’s delusional

That means you did not know Amaju , when he was commissioner and defacto chairman of Warri Wolves.

He was always an opportunistic politician anchored on local politics and tribal sentiment. He pathway to fame allegiance to Dynasty of Ibori extended to inept Uduaghan.

I like where you said investments. That word is key, the Moroccan 'investment' is multi-faceted. Nigeria is seriously broken at this point, it may be possible but it's hard to have the required development only within our sports, am wrong, football sphere. We definitely have huge potentials in many sports and other things. Am sorry for the digression but nna men, wahala dey.
It's quite possible the NFF may have invested more onto football ⚽ than the Moroccan FA.

However, that investment in Nigeria usually ends up in the deep pockets of individuals. That's the difference in addition service to the NFF is seen as a tool for self enrichment.

I heard the FA offers European born players a lot of incentives just to lure them to switch allegiance to them

Don’t know how true that claim is
I will give you a list of incentives they use.

1.Zero tolerance for corruption
2. Rejection of all forms of nepotism and favouritism
3. Total respect for the rule of law.
4. Oustanding infrastructure development
5. Football federation have a proactive be approach to players Recruitment.
6. Have a very inclusive society.

You can add your own.

Ceuta and Melilla, both are on the African mainland.
You could add Gran Canaria and Tenerife off the coast of Africa. I was in Gran Canaria a few months ago.

Morocco is the best team in Africa
I agree without hesitation, question and or deliberation.

Morocco is doing Africa proud , taking Spain to the wire Morocco is in my biased opinion the better team.

What is it about Morocco that makes players reject the opportunity to play for first world teams such as Germany,France England and Holland.

Most of their players were born and bred outside of Morocco but are family completely cohesive.

Star man for me Sofyan Amrabat who has been the quintessential DM but with intelligence and a array of simple passes reading the game perfectly with outstanding anticipation.

His value must be skyrocketing each minute he plays in this World cup by the way he was born and brought in the Netherlands.

Like you and your partner said, Senegal greatly missed Sheikh Kouyate and Idris Gana a lot in the game against England. Infact the game they lost against Netherlands, once Kouyate was out, their levels dropped. Unfortunately not sure Khalid, Sadio, Sheikh and Gana can play the next WC, age isn't on their side.
I suspect that Senegal had more players in the top five league in Europe and counting than any other African country .

That means they have a huge talent pool present and future.

They will regenerate.

Thanks so much Marvellous Basco. Same thing I have been saying for ages. I said and analysed during those debates that Mbappe will develop along the line of a true physical monster. He is the ultimate teen athlete right now. Physically strong, super fast, and got skills to go with it all. It is no wonder his idol from age 14 or so till now is Cristiano Ronaldo.

For the Physical aspects, I rate Mbappe far ahead of Nacho. Their development won't be the same. Mbappe is developing into a physically imposing, super fast, super skillful Lethal forward... He is brawn and brains... But Nacho is taking the path of the more brains than brawn. His Vision, Finishing and ability to exploit space as a true raumdeuter make him another lethal weapon in development.

Two players, different paths but yes all-round, I will say Mbappe is better... but breaking it down to aspects of plays and individual qualities.. we all will see unbiasedly that both soar in certain attributes over the other with Mbappe having a little more over Nacho and Nacho having some over Mbappe.

This is why I maintain the gap in quality between both youngsters is not large as many want us to believe.
Now you are living up to your name TheSuperDelusional one.

I talk about football always in the HERE and NOW.

However, with regards to this your recalcitrant obsession with KC verses Mbappe.

In summary there is no comparison it's like comparing light to darkness.

In PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE there is nothing to compare them with. You are dreaming again.

Mbappe has been on a continuous upward progression from day one and is now an absolute top world class top three player. He is on the verge of breaking world cup records. He is leading his team France he is the focal point.

He is also three years younger than KC maybe even more.

Pedri comes first. Jude is only better than Gavi based on physicality and maybe pace. This Jude is just hype abeg... Nothing special or unreal about him.
I want you to rewind what you have said and appraise it in the context of football ⚽ and then specifically with the position of Midfield.

Can I add height to Jude compared to Gavi then if you have PACE and PHYSICALITY and vision plus a good level of technicality then what will Gavi have over him.

Doing round abouts and drag backs and slowing the game down.

Jude will bench Gavi what ever the team , because he brings so much more to the table.

Bellingham is a problem in that midfield o
When I said that Jude Billingham is the best young midfielder in the world I got dogs abuse.

This is not Midfielder who fancy tricks and dribbling here and there. He is way ahead of that.

How can a 19 year old have so much vision, an array of passes, then be box to box offensive and defensive then crown it all with physicality, pace and stamina.

It's baffling his price has just gone up , only the best teams in the world can afford him . And less than three years ago he was playing for Birmingham in the Championship as a 16 year old consistent starter.

Get Luke Shaw to man mark Dembele
Get K Walker to man handle Mbappe
This would cut short their goal supples
Walker was put on toast by Saar and he burned him on several occasions. What do you think Mbappe and Dembele will do to him , give him a full English breakfast with burned toast.

Luke Shaw is not in the equation.

Senegal tried. The English are just better in every regard.
Disagree completely.

Saar had Walker on toast and missed a sitter, blasting over the bar no composure. Pickford made a world class save. England were on the ropes clueless for near 35 minutes of the first half.

After Senegal conceded two goals against the run of play. They Senegal lost belief and composure and all of a sudden England started dominating.

Goals change games and that's what happened for England.

Did anybody notice the handball it was worse than the handball Poland got against France. But no penalty given.

I disagree he should work on his movement , desire, belief, anticipation, confidence and work rate .

Mbappe is running for goal he has the pace to get to the backpost but he is jogging ,no anticipation, and no desire or belief.

On two occasions he had the chance to have got two tap ins but he was missing in the game against Poland.

The defensive with such quality players is making stupid errors.

Also you defend as a team, I was looking at Mendy jogging back instead of chasing back to block off the slowest player on the field Kane ( yet clinically dangerous) Mende is jogging bsck like he is in an exhibition match.

When attacking the switch on but defensive mistake are going to make them loose this match.

Mende should have saved the first one and under no circumstances should you have a two on one situation against the Senegal defence.

But Senegal had two clear chances they should have scored, open goal and Sarr blasts over and a great Dave by Pickford.

Next goal in the next half is absolutely CRUCIAL.
