Joebie: See as u pack them for there call am “luxury”. We have few good defenders today. We can add a few more to supplement. Maybe one good one in the NPFL who knows? Lol The Ndah guy from Orlando Pirates is good. The S. African league is not top quality how many players transit from that league to Europe ? Not many even with all the links to European clubs. A league that's poor will not have outstanding players that will remain in it for long. Ndah has been playing proffesional football since 2014 starting with Delta stars ,then Sharks, he is supposedly only 24 so he is young. He needs to be in a far better league before his true quality can be assessed. |

charlesemeka85: if player like mk em dey play for Omani league once he is good he will be fished out by clubs in decent leagues
Also where a players plays implies the qualities he possess
If where a player plays doesn’t matter let’s see if the move happens weda ndah won’t be getting constant call up to the national team Also it's something that happens quite often a player steps up to a better and more competitive league and cannot make the transition. So as much as is hailed by many as oustanding , put him in a better league and it may show what level he is. He has been playing proffesional football ⚽ since 2014 and he ended up in S. Africa after all these years. . |

mostob: Yea.. Ndidi needs to improve but what if he is playing to instruction? I mean, he do occasionally try the long passes especially to Nacho. What if he is playing to the best of his ability and has nothing more to present. He has played the same way for all his time at Leicester. He is competent without being exceptional and has not added to what he has over the year's, i.e. limited passing range. No surprise in this January window he has generated limited to zero interest, that in itself tells a story. V.O. continuous to generate interest because he is performing and is younger too. |

codemaniacs: Eguavoen said Amoo was too young that his time will come... he was on the bench against Ghana but didn't play... Nigerian coaches don't give young players who are still teenagers who shows potential a chance and the NFF doesn't encourage the coach to play them... Irrespective of your age of you are showing oustanding quality consistently in your club and league. Then if your good enough your old enough. After all how old is the most sought after and probably best young Midfielder in the world Jude Billingham ❓ Potential is not enough you must be proven and established. Playing in a league rated near 20 in Europe is not good enough. If you are really good you will not remain in a low level league, it's that simple. |

charlesemeka85: musiala and co are they playing youth team football?
I hv nothing against blooding in young players to the currently super eagles but my point is that Eletu hv to first break into Milan’s first team to attract a call up to the super eagles
Starting with the u20 isn’t bad and doing well in that stage will propel inclusion to the super eagles
Youth team football is different to men’s football
Yusuf and tella to me is a big yes but Eletu still hv a lot to do to be integrated to the super eagles set up
No be because say em Dey do well for Milan’s primavera team go warrant a call up
Obafemi martins tore the Italian primavera league to shreds with goals and superb performances in the colors of inter Milan but only got a chance in the super eagles immediately he was promoted to inter’s first team
Chukwueze also did well with villarael’s youth team first and got promoted to the snr team before he got a look in to the super eagles Iwobi had not played one game in the EPL for Arsenal before he was in the SE . |

If SE had cap tied Bazunu maybe there won't be a goalkeeper problem now. Nathan Tella is not potential but a confirmed proven and tested quality player. And although on loan at promotion bound Burnley he is a Southampton player. He already is getting a lot interest, as arguably one of the best players in the Championship. |

charlesemeka85: Correction to some impression about Morocco
Morocco’s success in Qatar 2022 has more to do with the Footballing Education in Western Europe than the narrative of the Moroccan FA “investing in pitches”.
Out of 37 Players and Coaching staff in Morocco’s World Cup Team, 19 were born in Western Europe.
Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou was born in Canada and was formed in ATLETICO MADRID Youth System and we all know their history with GKs. From De Gea to Courtois to Oblak.
It’s clear to see.
Achraf Hakimi was born in Spain. Formed in REAL MADRID Youth System.
Noussair Mazraoui was born in the Netherlands and Formed in the AJAX Youth System.
Sofiane Boufal was born in France. Formed in the ANGERS Youth System.
Sofyan Amrabat was born in the Netherlands . Formed in the UTRECHT Youth System.
Captain Romain Paul Saïss was born in France . Formed in Le Havre.
The Manager Walid Regragui was born in France. Spent all his playing career in France and Spain.
Assistant Manager Gharib Amzine was born in France. Spent all his playing career in France.
Hakim Ziyech was born in the Netherlands. Formed in the Heerenveen Youth System.
Walid Cheddira was born in Italy and was formed in Parma.
Amass Zaroury was born in Belgium. Formed in Zulte Waregem.
Goalkeeper Munir Kajoui was born in Spain. Formed in ALMERIA.
Illias Chair was born in Belgium. Formed in the CLUB BRUGGE Youth System.
Zakaria Aboukhlal was born in the Netherlands Formed in the PSV Youth System.
Selim Amallah was born in Belgium. Formed in the ANDERLECHT Youth System.
What makes a house stand the foundation. It's obvious what is underpins the success of Morocco the backroom staff not just one coach. Add to that recruitment by merit, no nepotism and favouritism or Egunje.
18-year-old wonderkid Bilal El Khannous, was born in Belgium and was formed by ANDERLECHT AND GENK. In fact, he played for Belgium’s U18 Team last year.
GK Coach Omar Harrak was born in Spain and has been a GK coach in Spain and Cyprus for the last 12 years.
Video Analyst Moussa El Habchi was born in Belgium and has worked for Ajax, Genk, Anderlecht, & the Belgium National Team.
The Technical Director of the Morrocan National Team, Chris Van Puyvelde is pure Belgian.
Worked as Assistant Manager for Olympiakos, Club Brugge and Gent. Then as Technical Director of Belgium and China before joining Morocco in July 2022.

Philosopher1979: You see the npfl is an historical brand. It has a long history of excellence which can easily be leveraged on and bring back the fans. This is a league that produced okocha, taribo west, Ahmed Musa, kanu nwankkwo etc. It also has tradional teams like shooting stars and so the older generation can even be drawn to it. It has a lost pedigree that can be leveraged on. Also, we can invite our old players like ogeyi onazzi to play for us. People will come because those memories are still with them and the older generation can connect with the younger generation with this. It's all marketing brother. The legacy is there to leverage on and it is something Dude let me not say your smoking strong Kwale hybrid Igbo, But let me put it down to youthful exuberance and limited understanding. As your contemplate please go and find out the meaning of excellence. |

KINGinVAHALA: Kante would have rendered MESSI impotent? Is it the same Kante that faced MESSI and later on fainted at Chelsea training or another Kante? With all the players France had in 2018, including Kante and Pogba which is far better than their 2022 squad, they were only able to win a less fancied and individual playing Argentina 4-3. Even if France had Zidane and Henry, ARGENTINA would have still beaten them on Sunday. Kante is not just a good tackler it's actually his anticipation and reading the game. Messi would not have had the freedom he got to knit passes and do 1-2s if a fit Kante was in that team. N'Golo Kanté is 31 focused, disciplined and super fit, he will block off the space and marshall Messi out of the game IMO |

Meliforme: What was the difference between Mikel and Messi in that tourney, could you tell the difference?
Some even argued that Mikel was the better player. Mikel was just beautiful
If Mikel continued had continued in his natural offensive role what would you think will become of him. There was little or no difference if anything Mikel Obi looked better. However at age 30 Mikel was no longer able to perform at a high level. They are age mates and Messi still has a few years left at the highest level. Coming to think of it I'm trying to think of any of our players above 30 that can still perform at the highest level only player who comes to mind is Ighalo. Etebo is 27 not even 30 yet and he doesn't seem to be in the prime of his football but is rather diminishing. I really cannot explain this loss of quality form so early in a number of our players. ❓ |

Mujtahida: Who is arguing against it that France was poor. Beyond even poor, Deschamps got his tactics wrong but as a good coach, he responded swiftly.
Your call for his resignation is unjustified. Simple. I don't think the tactics were wrong or the team set up and or strategic plan. You had Dembele, Griezman, and several of others not on their A game. This was not tactics but players whi for reasons unknown played well below par. Too many players were lethargic and mentally not up for the game. I actually thought they were suffering from the after and current affects of a virus running through the team. Too many players let the team down. Put in a fully fit Pogba , Kante the backbone of the team in recent times and a world class Benzema we will not be talking tactics but commending the tactics of Deschamps as Argentina get pulverised. For one Kante would have rendered Messi impotent. |

So, our u17 players within the criteria beat European players from fancy academies. No need trying to squeeze a false theory of uncles into the discussion.
Finito. Let's keep it in the strict structure, best European players by from fancy academies. League two Stockport county beat Leicester, Fulham got beat by Crawley town a few months ago, Newcastle got beat by Cambridge and Arsenal got beat by Nottingham forest. Did that make the players better in your opinion than these top teams. Youth football is about progression to the first team winning games is good but not everything because it's about individual player development. You can have a great team without great players and a great players who are a poor team. So where did our players in the U17 progress to compared to the teams they beat. |

[/b]Stop wasting your time on my views, coz I care less about yours too. You are prejudiced, ignorantly recalcitrant and make wild negative assumptions based on what your self based notions. I've said this before years ago a EPL club was very interested in a local player Sunday Mbah, I know what bottle necks were out in place to stop it happening. This was when Amaju was running things at local level and his head ️ had not swollen as NFF President Even before Etebo was invited to national team I was looking at him in Warri Wolves, yes under the sun in Warri township stadium. I have a network of local coaches and national team coaches that l relate with. So your assumptions are wrong and your attitude on a faceless forum for an elder reprehensible. Go and review. I can bet you that it is less than 3/4.
You are the one that make wild assumptions of things you don't know like trying to promote a false theory that our recent successful u17 were over aged, despite science being on their side. MRI cannot give u specific age that's empirical evidenced peer group reviewed and proven. That being the case what is over age to you. We no longer have Uncles pretending to be teenagers at U17 level. But there is no MRI at U20 level. But even with the U17 level it's possible for a 21 year old to be classed as U17. Now in comparison to teenagersvin the West with enhanced nutrition, good health care delivery and far better training facilities plus other environmental factors to have quicker bone fusion than a malnourished child in sub Saharan Africa. These variables have been well researched and proven. Now add to the equation out penchant for age creation, why do you think that age cheating no longer exist just because of MRI ❓ It definitely restricts it massively but it cannot completely eradicate it. Because we do not have automatic birth data capture by government. We rely o the integrity of individuals. |
