andrewbaba44:Why ![]() Because most clubs in Europe cannot afford to buy them, its that simple. However, opportunities for young players in the highly competitive EPL means some will look at lesser league or go from the Championship to first tier league in Europe. So for instance Jadon leaves Man city to Bundesliga and essentially cleans up, Jude Bellingham at 17 also leaves Birmingham city straight to the Bundesliga and has been outstanding, youngest ever Player to score for B.Dortmund. Ademola ,Batshuayi, Reiss Nelson, all made great impact in the Bundesliga. Aina was voted best RWB in the Championship and no opportunity in Chelsea goes to Seria A and has been outstanding given accolade as fastest player in Seria A at one stage. Tomori found no opportunity in Chelsea and is definitely a top top CB in AC Milan his progress anchored in on his outstanding season in the Championship. Tega Abraham was outstanding in the Championship and outstanding in the EPL. But left out for non football reasons by Chelsea. He had gone to Seria A and has been outstanding, not too many goals but his contribution to the team excellent. HOWEVER, the situation with KC is not comparable in any way, he has been highly DISSAPOINTING. After his £25 million pound transfer he has played five seasons in the EPL for Leicester City and after 106 games in the EPL he has scored 22 goals. That's just ABYSMAL there is no excuse. That's why he has remained in the EPL NOBODY will pay him half of what he is currently getting not even in in the Championship. No European team will take him he will have to drop his wages to wel below £20k a week. He has also renewed his contract and will probably see it out. He improved immensely last season but it seems like he played Leicester UK Yahoo. Because he is back to his normal to self only one goal this season. So will not move anytime soon |
Igboid:I don’t know why you take delight in reaping and claiming were you did not sow. Not al Delta Igbo related tribes are Igbo. They have been birthed by multiple associations. |
andrewbaba44:You know wisdom says think before you speak , however foolishness says just speak. I actually was talking from personal experience, but to substantiate my view ,in case I was talking from crass ignorance and a vacuous perspective , birthed from a parochial view of my visits to Scandinavian countries. As they say Google is your friend. Please consider the screen shot and return back to school and ask for a double refund of school fee's. They have taught you nonsense garnished with rubbish. I should add my 80% projection was wrong the estimate given here is 86% of people in Sweden speak English .
|
Danielnino00:Your balance of judgement , objectivity and appraisal are immense. Of all the things you could find in that write up is you did not spell Omeruah name correctly. I have no words to describe you , beyond you are incorrigible in your prejudice and negative bias. |
andrewbaba44:Meanwhile NFF will not contribute to help pay his salary if anything happens. The reality is anybody coming back from injury may take a few months to get match fit. |
andrewbaba44:Kwale is not Igbo and if you speak kwale an Igbo man will not understand the substance of your conversation. Actually, in mainland Europe to be educated is synonymous with speaking 2/3 languages. In all these Scandinavian countries from my personal experience 80% of people speak English fluently and probably better than the English people themselves. Yes, l have used my English language in Scandinavia, even in Lithuania, to answer your question. Spain and France probably about 30% much more depending if you are in a Urban setting or Rural one. So really your not talking to from knowledge but asdumptive misled and misinformed notions. There is no one singular language that you can use to communicate throughout Nigeria, that's my assertion. You are not making SENSE. Kwale is a town and not necessarily a language or even tribe, Ukwuani would be more representative term. They have origin that relate to the Benin and are not entirely Igbo derived. But that's not important. The one language that you can use in general throughout Nigeria is pidgin English. Any other languages is about location. The most international Nigerian language is probably the Yoruba which is spoken in West Africa as well as Brazil and Cuba. Finally , who is the big DUNDEE UNITED ❓❓ English is not spoken in the Scandinavian countries CHEI , Please no vex go and ask for refund because, the school were you go them cheat you, teaching you nonsense. |
andrewbaba44:If the NFF were considerate and sensitive they should not be taking a player who is recovering from injury and very serious injury as well. It's not professional and the right thing to do under the circumstances. I ABSOLUTELY think he should not go to the AFCON. |
Philosopher1979:Very weak EXCUSES, because his agent is not good, when the product in is not good even the best agent cannot sell it. And which good agent want to carry "bad market" by comparison to other players. Do you know how many black player born in Europe did not make it They should say it's because they were not born in Africa or because they are not White. The French national team is almost entirely black, what is your point Umtiti was born in Cameroon but plays as a CB for Barcelona and France. Eric Bailly Manchester United CB, was born in Cote d'Ivoire, so also was Maxwell Cornet of Burnley ( IMO s racist team and Manager)With the fast pace, physicality and aerial dominance required for the EPL even the Championship both Awaziem and Omeruah will fall flat on their faces. I remember at the last AFCON Omeruah could not handle a very basic long ball , that led to the goal by Cameroon. This was a school boy error, but he got bullied and missed the clearing header. That sort of ball is the bread and butter of the EPL and Championship. The pertinent question should be how much better we would be if we had better CB than these two mediocre defenders. These two guys have had numerous opportunities to show that they are quality, buy they just cannot make STEP UP. And if SE wants to compete on the global stage we need far better players. |
andrewbaba44:You are being overly optimistic and sentiment led and not being sensible and realistic. Do you know you cannot , use our own Nigerian languages to communicate in Nigeria and you are asking him to use a Nigerian language in Europe. Please wake up. Your Kwale language as well as my own Uhrobo/ Isoko language will probably be extinct in 50 year's. Why because you cannot use those languages to communicate to generality of people you meet in Nigeria. You will have much more Success with Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Fulani. I go to Warri and I meet my cousin's and younger family members they cannot speak our language , all they speak is Warri pidgin. Spanish in is spoken over several continents, l learned my first level of Spanish from staying in Miami , Florida. This is an international language widely spoken. What you are saying doesn't make any sense , you are in Italy should you not learn Italian so you can communicate and therefore relate and integrate. You fall my hand , bros , you no make sense. |
Meliforme:You are being led by emotive sentiment. Quality doesn't hide it moves upwards not downwards, like CREAM it rises to the top. Omeruah played for Middlesbrough but was far from outstanding, and nobody wanted his services in the Championship and you really think , he can play in EPL. He played in the La Liga once again he was just making up the numbers in a mediocre team. He gets relegated and nobody wanted him in La Liga. WHY You cannot dress up chicken and call it goat meat. His compatriot is the same Awaziem and that's why he is in the backwaters league of Turkish football, and nobody wanted him in the Portuguese first not even Boavista to who had an option to buy him. You cannot dress up these self evident facts, you cannot hide the obvious. These two defender are bang average or below and are on the decline, at very young ages. ( Maybe football age has caught up with them) I don't look down on " Whoscored" they do an absolutely fantastic job. But these statistics have to be seen in context, they are indicative not conclusive. According to you most EPL clubs don't have good defenders. Why then are there more EPL clubs in the last 16 of the Champions League than any other league ❓❓Why is the EPL the best league in the World. |
Sugarboyy:Actually "fully fit" is the diction used, which is a very ambiguous term. When Gerard was Manager of Rangers Balogun tweaked his hamstring and as a precaution was substituted. He has been nursing a minor hamstring for near 6 week' is what you are suggesting. However, since Calvin cam in his place he has taken his performances to another level much better than Balogun. During this period , specifically on the 11 November Gerrard left to Aston villa. And Van Bronkhurst came to Rangers and he feels Calvin is better, very simple. Saying Balogun is not fully fit is just an exercise in being diplomatic by Van B. MEANWHILE watching Arsenal flogging Leeds 3-0 with Saka just scored the third goal all in the first half.
|
Meliforme:Whoscored may indeed give them both a 9.5 average. But taken in the context of the league they play in Turkish league ranked 18 in Europe and l am certain the Segunda is much lower in quality and competitiveness than the Turkish league. Last season Awaziem played for Boavista on loan ftom Porto yet Boavista did not try to retain him Or any other team in the Portuguese league. WHY ,he was too good ![]() You could get a 10 score from Whoscored playing for Warri Wolves in the NPFL, will that put you on par with the English premier League ❓❓ Let's be real and stop walking on eggshells , these two playo are not quality players, at best just average. I remember when Omeruah returned to Chelsea a few seasons ago he was told to train with the U18 not even the U23. That tells you how much they rated him |
Subzero047:Press release from Ibrox . Someone is telling bare faced LIES, l wonder WHO ![]()
|
charlesemeka85:If club form is the basis for national team selection. Then the decision has already been made, since the departure of Gerrard and the arrival of Van Bronckhorst Calvin has been in every game and Balogun has been left onthe bench, even after he recovered from injury. This is the conundrum with the NFF this boy has upped his game in a league that is 9 places higher than the Turkish league. He is outstanding in his league in the HERE and NOW. And we are still waisting time to invite him ,he had effectively benched Balogun his stats are outstanding. We are still holding on to mediocrity with Omeruah and Awaziem who cannot rise above Turkish league and or the poor 2nd tier Segunda Division. Both players are not outstanding in their respective leagues ,just making up the numbers.

TFLASHOGEE:Distinguish between DELUSIONAL disorder ( which is essentially mental sometimes psychotic disorders) And SIMPLISTIC Delusion which is fixed stong beliefs not based on rationaity or facts. Using the phrase, "l am crazy about Manchester United" doesn't mean to say l am psychotic and schizophrenic, where Manchester United is concerned. Do I really have to talk about simplistic ambiguity of diction, the context of words and therefore meaning qualified by context. I assume a certain level of education and comprehension here, as well as common sense. It seems I am wrong in that assumption. |
AndSunGorilla:My deductions are not ASSUMPTIVE but from painstaking meditation ,study, revelation and engagements with many so called " Men of God" who seek to distort, decieve and burden. As a starter read the true Apostle 2 Corinthians 11. I end the matter here. |
ChrisKels:In 2013 a EPL club wanted to sign him . But the naked greed of the official in Warri Wolves and others blocked progress including Enugu Rangers. One of those officials is now at the pinnacle of Football administration in today. He Mba probably didn't get the opportunity to choose. |
PurpleHouse:Imagine if DISCIPLINE was the key component for success in football. We should also understand what we consider of discipline to be , may be DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT from other regions and countries. Imagine how the Brazilians, the French, and German s see discipline will be different from how Nigerian see discipline. Discipline in general is ambiguous and it's predominantly perceptive led that leaves it open to subjective deductions. |
forgiveness:Agreed hilarious. The EPL is currently a three horse race with little or nothing between by them, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester city. This is truly exciting stuff, from the best league in the world. |
Karlovych:He had one very poor game his first of the season and flopped badly. But according to Arsenal he has been doing very well in training. On the other hand can any of our goalkeepers make Arsenal reserve keeper slot ❓ |
charlesemeka85:Ovie is much better and would be an in absolute asset to the SE. Bringing in the much needed inspirational technical ability to dominate with skill, style and panacea. Ovie is a baller. Having Eze and Ovie would be taking the SE to another Level. |
Wonder why we haven't called in reserve goalkeeper Okonkwo he was on the bench when Arsenal gave West Ham a comprehensive football lesson beating them 2-0 . It could easily have been 5-0 . MOTM Saka , his progression has been simply astounding. |
Kog45:He plays like an English man, doesn't have that flair, unpredictability, skill and technicality , needed to be an AM in the SE. However, a hard working water carrier with lots of stamina going up and down the field a big yes. Outstanding quality no for me. |
andrewbaba44:Very simple because QUALITY follows the $$$£££€€€ |
chrisooblog:I will give you just one from the many English youth players, Jude Bellingham B. Dortmund, started playing at 16 and dominating in the Bundesliga. Now tell me a better quality second tier league.❓❓ |
ChrisKels:I was going to reply . But realized it was you the “ HUNGRY MAN” and therefore “ SO ANGRY ‘ Please Christmas is coming you should stop eating your favorite dish “ Thick bitter leaf soup with no meat and fish “ Because what’s coming out is Rancour , Discontent garnished with Vitriolic rhetoric . Have a wonderful afternoon stay in the lovely sunshine and get a coke with a smile ![]() |
AndSunGorilla:Arrogance and Humility are perceptive deductions. That's your perception not mine. But the question remains do you wish to engage and derail the thread momentarily and possibly be enlightened , educated and maybe emancipated from religious hegemony. The CHOICE is yours |
12large1:With regards to the Athletico Madrid game, it was a friendly game taken very seriously by the B team national players but not particularly by the Athletico Madrid players. That is the perspective. So I would NEVER use that game as a singular basis to determine player quality. One game doesn't make a player. It's the continuous consistent outstanding performance in your club day in and day out over the season that determines your quality. In this regard it's your outstanding performance in club and league that will be the basis for national team selection. Nwakali is not the only Nigerian player in Europe, he get too much attention for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It's a disservice to other players who are doing much better than him but never mentioned. With regards to your point in the bold . Nwakali has Zero history of performing for Nigeria beyond historical youth football. Again with regards to the bold. That's a bigoted double standard. When Europeans recognise our players and they win accolades we concur and join hands to praise them. However, when they are not given accolades we question the Europeans and call them biased and unable to appreciate our players. There are players who have played at the highest levels and just dropped off . For a host of reasons such as Jordan Ibe, Berahino, Yannick Bolasie, Ravel Morrison, etc . Do we still hold on with delusional Nostalgia instead of facing the reality of failure to live up to promise. Remove emotive sentiment and stop making FRIVOLOUS EXCUSES for mediocrity and failure. There are many truly young Nigerian players doing much better in Europe than Nwakali. Maybe we should call in the host of Nigerian origin youth players in Arsenal who have succeeded where Nwakali FAILED to the SE that would be much more reasonable. Finally , since you do not want the implied biased Europeans to dictate who is good and quality among our players. Let them therefore REMAIN in Nigeria and play local football and become world beaters from our local leaguei. |
This discourse has gone VERY QUITE. Have contributors been sent to detention secretly , I wonder what happening. |
Napoleon55:Do you really want to get into a theological Christian based contentious discourse with me ❓ I dont do ASSUMPTIVE based deductions based on long historical cultural practice but PRINCIPAL BIBLICAL BASED SUBSTANTIVE DEDUCTIONS. You simply have no Idea. |
ChrisKels:So the writer is Arsene Wenger, Mourinho, Pep and or Zidane. So we should now take his word as the complete verdict for outstanding performance. You are being delusional. The Segunda Division is VERY VERY LOW in quality and the money is a joke. At one stage the entire transfer budget of the Segunda Division was almost on par with Fulham transfer expenditure in the Championship. That should tell you something. Nwakali is near 24 years old and people are still talking about youth football exploits of 7/8 years ago, that's ludicrous. Nwakali is OVER HYPED by so many here, he failed in the Dutch Eredivisie, failed again in the second by tier Eerste Divisie. He was so resoundingly astounding , he went to Porto B and couldn't even be a regular. He is now in Huesca and remains in there , WHY ❓ Too good ![]() These are not the attributes of outstanding quality but the opposite. When he went to Arsenal , Saka, Okonkwo, Folarin, Nelson, Akinola, Emile Smith, were in some cases 12/13 years old . Now look at those players today. But he couldn't cut, he was simply not good enough. And don't say discrimination and racism Arsenal has more Nigerian players in the reserves than any other team in Europe. Football is a very short term career and time waits for no one. |
AndSunGorilla:This was the core issue, possible exposure to COVID infection and by implication compromising the health of the whole team . |
