SamuelAnyawu:I am BEWILDERED, you said it's a regular occurrence. Who will save us from criminal police. |
BabaOwen:SHOCKING. I alway say, if what you know is BAD what you do not know is much WORSE. Can anybody speculate on the level of criminality that these policemen have been involved in. Nothing will be too bad for them to do for money. |
Xbee007:I do not agree with the bold. Sahara reporters has been bbehind the exposure of multiple instances of government corruption, disinformation and misinformation. How did you come to that conclusion ❓ It would be beneficial to all if you could evidence your proposition and we can all join you to condemn Sahara reporters. Honesty, Integrity and Truth are not on the dinner menu of our Government institutions as a regular diet. Just look at the number of times the NA changed its story at the Lekki gate crisis. A situation where what they were doing was seem live and across the globe. But they denied it all. |
Whyem15:My opinion is that the framework exists already it's matter for remodelling and upscale of thier equipment. I am talking of the Nigerian Mobil police there are probably at least 40k units of them. They should be armed with APC's, HMG, LAV, MRAPS and carry out a rear guard action and have a consolidation strategy for areas liberated. I do believe we are yet to completely remove the historical vestiges of Miltary rule. Thats why the police were kept always weaker than the army and many military combatants feel that they are superior and above the law. I have raised the question of judicious and innovative procurement for best value. For example we have bought maybe 25 Chinese MBT VT4, it's HIGHLY INADEQUATE to cover the north East. Talk less the other multiple areas of contention across the North. There are far better alternatives that constitute better value and for greater spatial impact for the areas of contention. |
SamuelAnyawu:This joint coordinated effort particularly with the Chadians gives us great optimism. That this will not end in rhetoric but actual gains on the ground PERMANENTLY. And ultimately an end to the scourge of Boko and it's permutations. |
rka1:From what I have seen and reported the Chadians do not have much of an airforce ( in actual fact I doubt if they have up to one tenth of the armoured vehicles that Nigeria has) but are revered and regarded as the desert Warriors of Africa. Putting your proposition about air support to question as the overriding component for success. |
tutudesz:I am not certain what particular high calibre sniper rifle it is. But it should be a major part of your mitigation strategy for dealing with the hugely effective "gun trucks" for Boko. It will clearly take a 50. Cal ( 12.7mm) high calibre round. It will very easily put a big hole in the engine block of any soft skinned pick up truck. Rendering it totally immobile and thats at 1000metres or more and the rest is easy. These gun trucks with thier HMG are not stabilised and far from accurate and will struggle to hit targets with any precision beyond 600 metres. |
IGpro1:This is your objective based substantive response to my contribution. Considering the bold, please look in the mirror you have described YOURSELF. |
Blueelf:It's a matter of differing perspective. I could say stop this sycophantic, praise singing and enthronment of mediocrity. When someone makes a first class we commend them because there is a objective comparison unit of measurement to determine excellence. What's your unit of measurement for the Nigerian military, the worst state of insecurity since the inception of the Nigerian state. I would ask you to look at the capital expenditure of the Nigerian military in the last 10 years or less and tell me of there has been commensurate and a good value returm for our expenditure. On the subject of constructive criticism please contend with me but substantively. |
kabe1:Na only you mention them nobody else. Now u deh tight face. |
kabe1:That's not true, Chad has a number of T55 and T62 as well as the BMP 1 (IFV). They actually got them for nothing hundreds were captured from Libya and are still in use. Cameroon does not seem to have any tracked MBT but have substituted it with the AMX10 and Chinese sourced IFV all wheeled IFV and Tank destroyer. Chad has a battlefield strategy that does not include the use of heavy MBT it seems to have worked for them. Of which I agree. Images below are the AM10RX and the Chinese type 07 IFV and Tank destroyer. Everyone probably knows what a T62 and or BMP1 looks like and thier capabilities in general.

GeneralFarouq:One question ❓ What will you call a Brigade or Army base that gets attacked in the night by insurgents and are taken by suprise ❓ ❓ ❓ You are in a highly contested war zone, you expect to be attacked it should never be a SUPRISE !!! You will have a number of pre planned contingency responses. You really should have at least 5 km situational awareness of your area 24/7/365. Unless you have conceded your immediate environ to the enemy and therefore you lack control. We have a different expectations, your perspective will be a product of your environment and experiential and formalised knowledge. What you call PROFESSIONALISM is very different from my own understanding. |
Toju200:I am perplexed beyond reason with the preoccupation with "gun trucks" in our discourse. A gun truck is in most cases a rickety pick up trucks mounted with a heavy machine gun , without stabilisation and or optic sights. It is not a IFV, MBT, LAV, MRAP, and or APC. A single shot from a M107 50.Cal. (or similar) into the engine block of one those soft skinned pick ups. Will make it completely immobile and easy target. This is where I get completely BAMBOOZLED how can a military base with HARDENED combatants with MBT's and other armoured fighting vehicles. Be overtaken by group of rag tag untrained deranged Jihadists in 15, 20 and or more gun trucks. One Vickers MBT should very easily take out 15 gun trucks in a matter of 15/20 minutes, with a well trained tank crew. |
Toju200:But using your sentiment we don't need them we are currently blasting Boko Haram left right and center. They are on the retreat. We are slaughtering them, etc, etc Our battle HARDENED combatants are winning. Why them do we need the assistance of Cameroon ❓ ❓ After all we have overcome Boko and they can't do much.I am using the substance of your narrative. |
Toju200:Irrespective what your opinion may be. One of the first casualties of war on both sides is simply the TRUTH. For that reason for me the only authentic and pure source of information is from SamuelAnyawu. Everything else is tainted with different agendas. |
SamuelAnyawu:On Nigerian territory ❓ Something is not adding up where is the EXPECTED response of the NA. |
youghs:If you have to transport 1000 people from Abuja to Lagos and you buy 2 minibuses, would you say you have addressed the problem. How many❓ ❓ Wing Loong II UAV did the NAF procure. Particularly as UAV are becoming the face and core component of modern warfare and in particular attrition warfare. |
Fulham with one man down and a goal down are still taking the fight to Chelsea although the odds are against them. Fulham have defended an attacked exceptionally well. Adarabioyo, Lookman, Aina have been outstanding. Tega is marking Tega in the Chelsea box that's funny. Fulham are really pushing Chelsea with thier 10 men right to the last minute and second. |
Looks like things are going to get very difficult for Fulham, Jedi has just been red carded and sent off. Three Nigerian future international playes are looking very good against Chelsea. |
Karlovic:With respect that's a load of Balderdash. None of the Nigerian players have played a single game for the England senior national team. They are all former England youth internationals. This matter isn't problematic it's just very basic administrative without any contention. |
There is talk of a new budget allocation that includes both recurrent and capital expenditure. Anybody have any confirmed details. Let's have an informed discussion on best value, innovative procurement and what acquisition are required. Our perspective should be what's best for the nation not the individual. |
NafeesaAA:Sorry to burst your bubble but I am sorry I find nothing to commend. Its like having a roof leak on your house, and you wait for your house to be flooded and when the foundations have started to subside and the house near collapse. You then make an ATTEMPT to repair the roof. We have known for years that Boko have taken up permanent residence in Sambisa. And we have done nothing of substance to mitigate the situation permanently. |
Subzero047:Ajayi will definitely score more goals as the season progresses. He is playing under a quintessential blood and guts English Manager. And you will find at every opportunity Ajayi will be sent up front to use his physicality to score. There will be a supply of long balls. I am suprised Allardyce did not buy Onuachu, he would fit the strategy of Big Sam very well. |
edi287:I want you to consider the time sequence from application to confirmation and Zaha's first game for Cote De Voire. A matter of weeks. I could easily call the English FA and find out why the delay, but to what purpose, l already know.
|
Considering future threats and the adventurism going on within our vicinity. I think this is something the NAF should look at.
|
bidexiii:Please pay attention to detail. Having immediate access to NVG when and if required is different from NVG being standard issue for all combatants. What I did say " don't misquote " is that for most modern armies optic sights is standard for most assault rifles. |
edi287:Normal incompetence. |
BascoVanVeli:There is a difference between a question ❓ and a proposition. You made a proposition that Sanusi is miles ahead of all his competitors for his position. You have called my questioning response, nonsensical, I am lost for words. |
Lucque:It's not the practice of the English FA to dignify false news and the incompetence of another FA with a response. Just to debunk all that nonsense. I will ask a question ❓ How long did it take Wilfred Zaha to change his much more complicated and contentious "switch of Allegiance" Considering that he had already played for England first team. He was not just a youth player like Ademola , Eberechi, Oviemuno, Adarabioyo and Onomah. |
BascoVanVeli:Who is competing with him ❓ And miles ahead because he plays for the best team and in the best league in Europe He is good player but he is not miles ahead. |
Toju200:This a supposedly an elite squad that has had elite tactical training and where is the specialist equipment. Basic assault rifles with no optic sights. |
bidexiii:Expensive is relative. In this regard they are not expensive. What may be expensive to Nigeria will not be expensive to USA, NATO, Russia, etc All modern armies will have optic sights as standard for nearly all of thier combatants as well as body armour. Access to NVG is available to all combatants if required. I have watched a few videos of NA in a fire fight situation and l noticed not all of them had basic body armour. |
