andrewbaba44:Using the argument of the REASONABLE man and this is not something that is beyond you. Particularly if you so desire to go beyond the superficial and appraise matters objectively with comparison Below two screen shots of the player line up of a recent match by both teams in their respective leagues. Let's look at the Porto fc main forward players are Marega, Evanilson, Teremi and Martinez. What's thier pedigree Marega climbed his way from Tunisia, through the lower leagues of France, Teremi in 2018 was playing in Iran, meanwhile Martinez could not go beyond U23 in West Ham and left West Ham in 2019 on a free transfer. Now let's look at Fulham forward players Ademola, Mitrovic, Loftus cheek, Decordova-reid. In my opinion the only player with substance in the Porto live up is Marega. The rest will not smell the EPL. Mitrovic isn't in form injuries have not helped but his pedigree is not in doubt. No introduction needed for Ademola and or Loftus-Cheek, finally Decordova-reid has scored 5 goals in the EPL. We could look at the midfield none of the midfielder can touch Angisa the defence is not up for debate. So how exactly is Porto so much better than Fulham FC? ❓ Because they are in the Portuguese league. ❓ Don't just join the rabble and make assumptive deductions borne from ignorance. Explain highlights and expand, let's compare objectively. I may even be convinced to agree with you.

ariesbull:Once you have militant inclined groups l ed not by democratic process but coercion, intimidation and disinformation. You have a very big problem. They are creating an atmosphere where any criticism against IPOB is met with violence and intimidation. So Igbo people do not often express their opposing true view in public about Nnamdi and IPOB because of harassment and intimidation. If Nnamdi was so popular why did he not contest election and win❓ ❓ ❓ That means every state and Federal legislator, Governor from the East will clamour for an Igbo independent state. It will be actualized without much contention. However, will a landlocked nation that has thrived by integration, association, partnership and participative engagement in multi faceted types of business activities. To incredible success across Africa in particular and the world in general. Now thrive in ISOLATIONISM in a landlocked country. Look at what BREXIT is doing to the UK it's already on the brink of economic depression. That's why no sensible and intelligent Igbo man will support the rantings of the megalomaniac Nnamdi and allow himself to be denigrated and plummeted into submission to his idea of democracy. |
bidexiii:Does it really matter, this is RUBBER STAMP National Assembly in my opinion it is the WORST set of legislators since 1979. But they have one never changing record, Highest paid legislators in the world. |
Barryseal:Lol what's new |
andrewbaba44:This is the kind of supposed informed football analysis based on what. |
Subzero047:3-1 says you have no idea. Tottenham got schooled it could easily have been more. |
Tolulopefinest:That's very normal on this thread. |
Subzero047:Josh Maja will not be an automatic starter in any of those teams. It seems like over inflated newspaper talk. |
BabaOwen:That does not mean he has the most followers. The most fanatical loud mouthed bunch of thuggish and violent members, a resounding YES. Why did he not test his intellect and popularity by contesting an election for the senate and see how far his assumed popularity will go. |
Bolowolowo:Thats almost an insult. |
andrewbaba44:A few years ago l spent a lot of time there. Was very good friends with the HO recruitment etc but I you tell that Sean Dyche the language from his mouth CHEI !!! He once said, we don't want foreign players here, just British players those foreigners don't have the right attitude. We black guys who are in the know, knew exactly what he meant. |
andrewbaba44:I absolutely 100% would still invite Mikel to the SE because we have plenty of young pretenders but No true quality comparable replacement. |
sanctity454:You really need to upgrade and then download up to date understanding of what is modern day universal standards obtainable in progressive countries. The term boss is outdated and open to multi faceted interpretations dependant on the norms and values acceptable in your country. Deviation, when I was at Russell group university business school post graduate many years ago. The Professor was teaching in the auditorium with about 200 students. I felt that he had got it wrong and his position was not substantiated by current practice. He promptly stood up and said, Komekn you are correct can you please take the lecture, I think we can learn from you. Now imagine you were in Nigeria and you challenge the view of your Professor. What would be the result. ❓ Embarrassing your Professor before the whole auditorium ❓ Having that thought in mind. All combatants in the British Army are very conversant with Army rules, regulations policy and process management. Hierarchical structure of command and how it is governed by these regulations. When a command is not covered by Army rules and regulations, a junior officer can relieved you of your command. I must say unfortunately the huge larger majority of NCO's are so close to being illiterate as well as lacking in understanding, they then become very brutish and without the capacity to make an informed knowledge based decision. Orders are ENFORCED irrespective of the validity and any questions asked are considered to be Extreme insubordination and you are in a court martial before you know it. The problem is the inherent long standing culture that is prevalent in the armed forces. There is sense of it being a political organisation with a charismatic leader not led by policy, process and legality but personality. In reality Burutai is highly unprofessional and should really be probed. My position is not for compromise. General Adeniyi is a true patriot and should be given COMMENDATION. |
Subzero047:I know Burnley very very very well. This is the quintessential English kick and rush, blood and guts football team. And Dyche is slave driver literally. And if you are black you will not survive there. Will NEVER advise any black player to go there. |
lloydtruth:When you invite a players like Onuachu you must play to his strength and adapt the style accordingly. Unfortunately when it comes to crossing the ball a very basic skill set our players fail at this woefully. Them we then start condemning him that he is not good enough for the SE. |
maidaboi:If this is true it is somewhat DISSAPOINTING but not TOTALLY. Selection to the SE has to be for the most outstanding consistent top players of Nigerian origin in thier club and league. UNDOUBTEDLY without question Ademola, Tosin and Ovie bring immediate top quality to the team and could easily cancel out any existing players in those positions. However, l really do not know what Seyi is doing there, for me he has not been outstanding, Jordan Torunarigha according to Whoscored has only played 6 games all season, sorry not good enough. Nathan Tella is the same done nothing of substance 6 games or so in the EPL. Sorry not good enough. Noni Madueke has not played regularly enough to be outstanding as well ,he couldn't cut it at Tottenham youth level and went not to another EPL or Championship club but the Eredivisie. Ike Ugbo was anonymous to be kind in three clubs he played at two in English league one, 15 games and one goal is poor. However, he is young and may have improved, l really do not know ❓ But in the HERE and NOW he has done better than what Osimhen did in Belgium league 21 games 11 goals this season so far. In this regard I can be justified. I expected the NFF to have done more not just look at prospective future talents but proven established and proven top quality players like Tosin, Ademola and Ovie and to a lesser extent lke Ugbo. |
andrewbaba44:I am not too HARSH. He has been OVER HYPED and given way too much attention and opportunity without deserving it. Factually without prejudice he has done nothing for the past 5 years if substance. For goodness sake how long is the football career. I absolutely 100% will rather have Mikel Obi in the SE over him right now and over Frank Onyeka and other like players . |
Alfryd:Not if that player is the most outstanding in the league and in his club, No. But l also think it's very dissapointing and a downgrade to be inviting players in backwater leagues like Turkey and the Scandinavian leagues to mention a few. Don't you also agree. You may have noticed that I have not recommended one Nigerian players to the SE from the English league one. |
charlesemeka85:Dude is like expired drug very ineffective no matter how many pills you take or time given for them to work. |
andrewbaba44:Let's look at the facts and decide who is lacking in knowledge, understanding and without vision. Dele Alli went from MK Dons to England senior team literally, Ademola Lookman went from league one straight to the EPL. I can add Justin James, Mason Holegate, Rob Holgate, Alfie Devin all left League one straight to the EPL. Among so many others. Aribo invitation was not anchored on Rangers perfomance, his invite preceded his playing time at Rangers. When a person considering the bold, struggles to comprehend a simplistic comparison. What do you call them ❓ Let me reiterate again and again do that you might finally be able to understand, comprehend and digest, simple comparison justification. That is to say, " What's good for the goose is good for the gander" It is widely accepted that the Scottish league is in general on par with the English league one. And if Scottish league is higher than the Turkish league, why then can you not invite players from the English league ( albeit not my preference) . ❓ Very simple, unless we are having double standard. I did not say we should exclude players from the Turkish league but if they can be invited why not League one too. And if we cannot, that becomes bigoted double standard. However, you have created a notion by yourself and attributed it to me. What do you call that ❓ Although my proviso always remains. "It is better to be a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league" in this regard there should always be exceptions. In football we talk about the HERE and NOW so it's not of NO significance that it is only recently. Finally, l cannot legislate for your over active imagination and what you perceive, but try to remain with honour and integrity and not decend to telling LIES and abuse. |
12large1:Even if you cannot impress you must PERFORM unfortunately KC has neither impressed or PERFORMED commensurate to his transfer fee. |
kabe1:You have different standards of what you consider professional. I believe General Adeniyi is a true patriot and selflessly put his life on the line well earned status for the benefit of the soldiers under his command. He should be promoted and made the COAS. |
Whyem15:The systemic and wide spread failure of this government has given petrol to start the engines of disunity and armed brigandry across the entire length and breadth of the country. When government FAILS so badly as this regime had it gives room to opportunist self seeking groups to fill the gap. But it's insincere it is not done for the people but a few individuals to position themselves to power and enrich themselves. Nigerian politics is not SELFLESS it is SELF -SEEKING and WICKEDLY SELFISH. The UK is now suffering on all fronts from a very stupid and idiotic break up from the EU ( BREXIT). That brings zero socio-economic benefit to the people. However, it given unhindered unquestionable control to the ruling political elite. Unfortunately most people are not informed even not that well educated and are very easily swayed by sentiment and prejudiced notions that have no substance. Unfortunately such people are in the majority in Nigeria. The security apparatus has failed COMPREHENSIVELY and the man to blame is PMB. There is now a huge vacuum and when such a vacuum exists other players will fill it in. We now have ESN, OPC ( chief Igboho) and many others. Imagine you are driving and in broad daylight on the Lagos Benin Road you can be kidnapped like chickens into the bush. Ethical zero response from the police. It will come to a point you will be considered to be extremely stupid to rely on the police to protect you. Because they just have one interest extorting money criminally from the public. The Army is already over stretched they no longer have the capacity to ensure security in the nation. |
Alfryd:But we can have players from the backwater leagues of Europe and the Turkish league which is even lower than the Scottish league. One of our best if not best new Midfielder Joe Aribo came from league one. In case you have forgotten. And the Scottish league is reputed with good authority to be on par with English league one. That's a very intelligent deduction. |
Subzero047:In my opinion one of Nigerias best strikers on a personal note his humility is beyond measure, a truly nice guy. |
Arabiandude:Very soon he will claim position, thrive and dominate. Hopefully he will reconsider playing for Nigeria as the FIFA rules may give some flexibility for change of allegiance. |
Yesterday Frank Lampard got sacked after a struggling time at Chelsea well below the expectations. I would add he was arrogant and lacked depth of understanding at that level. He even went as low to call Tega Championship striker, Chelsea best Striker in a long time. On this thread many celebrated with joy their misguided prejudiced based projections. The said that Timo Werner has arrived and it's the end of for Tega, he isn't anywhere as good as him so on, so forth. I made it clear with a substantive appraisal that the EPL is not the Bundesliga that all these players he bought for £200 million will most likely struggle. I even said it prophetically by projection that, Lampard will get sacked before Tega leaves. Well it's happened, were are all the bitter-leaf soup and bad belle detractors now. They have all gone quite. |
Finally, it's second half and no matter what happens Tottenham will win, it's a question of how many. But Wycombe will try thier best. |
AndSunGorilla:I didn't introduce that comparison but countered it. |
Watching Wycombe Wanderers against Tottenham. Interestingly Wycombe have 4 Nigerian in the Squad. It's half time and it's 1-1 Tottenham scoring in the last seconds of the first half. And Fred Onyedinma scored forgotten by mm any here. Ikpeazu is bulldozing the Tottenham defence they guy is just too strong for them. I remember Ikeapazu when in 2013 he was the hottest U18 striker in England highest goal scorer even scored three hatrick, two against Chelsea and one against Arsenal. Even then he was a man mountain. His mother is Ugandan but his Dad is Nigerian he wanted desperately to play for our youth teams but nobody called him. |
Danielnino00:That's not the chip but the core subject of this particular discussion. Your approach is Sentiment based emotive rambling garnished with assumptive preferences. Fernandes has been exceptional but l could give you a list of players from the Portuguese league who STRUGGLED into anonymity big time, such as Renato Sanchez, Eder, Tiago, Gedson Fernandes, Alex Tella to name a few. We could add one of my favourite Nigerian midfielders Etebo who struggled to make an impression in the Championship not even the EPL. Unfortunately, It's one way traffic almost little or nothing going to Portuguese league from the EPL so it's difficult to make player comparison. On every unit of object measurement Salisu fall way below the existing full backs in Fulham. Robinson is a USA international, Tete is a Dutch international and Aina has more pedigree and caps than Salisu for the SE. If we look at market value he is below. Let's look at the player he replaced at Porto Alex Tella who all will agree is much better than him. Alex Tella is warming the bench at Manchester United. My approach is not sentiment but objective appraisal. |
andrewbaba44:Thats not what my deductions are anchored on. And the core subject was Sanusi better than the existing Wing backs at Fulham, IMO he is not. The three players he is contending with one plays for the USA, the other for the Netherlands and then our own Aina. The question that has arisen in the course of the deduction is Porto better than Fulham❓ ln my opinion, NO. If the EPL is 4 places ahead of the Portuguese league that's an indicator of quality. If you look at market value of Fulham and Porto players in addition to pedigree they are almost on par. If Fulham played in the UCL where would be they be, l don't know. But l can say conclusively they will do alot better than clubs in much lower league like Celtic and Rangers. West Bromwich beat Wolves against all odds are they therefore better ❓ So what will you anchor your proposition on SENTIMENT ❓ . Because, using your proposition Porto is better than Chelsea, Arsenal, Wolves Crystal Palace, etc |
