Icon4s:Yes indeed. In all honesty the events of October 20, left me feeling empty and disillusioned with our nation. Just lost all enthusiasm. But we move on even if painfully. |
Karlovich:He is not arrogant. He is the outcome delivery of not having s stable family background. He had am absentee father and then a uninformed white Italian foster father a recipe for confusion. I can empathize with him. I went to primary school where my brother and l were the only black kids in the school. One day my Father woke up and said " Megwuno, my children don turn oyibo finish " And we were sent straight from the UK to boarding school in Warri. That singular act changed the entire trajectory of my life. I could write a book about my experience. I couldn't speak my language and or any other Nigerian language, not even pidgin English. I couldn't even dance ( 2 left feet). However, today I consider myself born in the UK but made in Warri. Today l meet black kids even adults suffering deeply with identity crisis in Europe. They can not engage with black people although they are black. They just don't have the communication skills. And become uncomfortable with black people and feel awkward. A paradox because they are not really accepted by white people. It's painfully CONFUSING for them. That creates all kind of crisis in thier lives. As you know dance, language, accent, mannerisms are all communication skills. If you live in a black area you may easily acquires these life skills. And as a result you will not have an identity crisis or any issues of low self esteem. And will easily relate and identify with your roots. For example NairaMarley born in Nigeria but made in the UK in particular, little Lagos (Peckham, London) |
BascoVanVeli:Some people are so stuck in the past they cannot move forward. Using misinformation and disinformation to forward your opinion is very infantile. Your reference to these past events are in the first instance TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION. But you just cannot change and show some maturity and balanced objectivity. Happy new year 2021 it seems you are still stuck in 2015. Please try and move forward with the rest of us to 2021. |
Karlovich:I know a little bit about this. I can assure from first hand experience, when a black African child is left with White Europeans aa his parents. Add to that very little to zero input from his real parents for many years right up to his teenage formative years.. That child will suffer a debilitating identity crisis which will have multifaceted behaviour issues. Self esteem , social engagement skills, etc, etc. Some of these issues will follow you for life if not addressed. But the first thing l will say do not use Eurocentric based perceptive deductions on behaviour leaning towards dysfunctionalism. Black people are often misunderstood and then labelled trouble makers, castigated as indisciplined and termed problematic to coach, etc. Without some of my detractors thinking l am posturing. I have met Balotelli when he was at City and found him to be a GREAT CONSIDERATE HUMBLE guy with black people. |
Philosopher1979:The same way Europeans judged Yakubu, Yobo, George Weah, Yayah Toure, Drogba, Mane, Salah, Zaha, Osimhen, Ndidi, etc To mention just a few. Your rational is therefore it is only Africans that have eyes to see quality players from Africa. |
Merry and Blessed Christmas everyone
|
BabaOwen:First of the nostalgic Biafra of the 1960's no longer get exists. Biafra is intrinsically TRIBALISTIC. The South South will not subject itself to second class citizenship status and new masters taking the black Gold with red caps from the East. That makes it essentially a landlocked country and far from economically viable. The strength of the Igbo nation is in its ability to partnership, integrate, and trade across the entire West African sub region. Traders do not work in Isolation but partnership. Do not presume silence to be consent. Igbo people are educated, conversant and informed. Do you see any of the Igbo elite subjecting themselves to be led by consent by this deranged megalomaniac called Nnamdi. I SIMPLY DO NOT. Nnamdi is IPOB and IPOB is Nnamdi and he thinks that knowledge and understanding are his reclusive preserve. Why does he not test his popularity by contesting just a senatorial seat. But he has not because he will probably loose. Go and talk to the original founding members of IPOB in the UK where it was birthed. See how much division they have after Nnamdi made himself the sole signatory to all thier finances throwing all forms of democratic considerations into the bin. Then you will have some more understanding and not be fooled by the propaganda charade that serves the purposes of deranged dictator. |
BabaOwen:IPOB make a lot of a aggressive noise and use threatening tactics to pursue thier agenda. And any Igbo who opposes them becomes an enemy. That makes you a target for thier model illiterate supporters. I do not see up to 1% of the Igbo elite giving support to IPOB. Even the general populace is not completely supportive. In addition huge amounts of assumptive nonsense. The South South is not part of Biafra, that Includes, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Cross River. That makes what's left of the Biafra to Landlocked that in itself makes its socio-economic viability questionable. These states with a duplicity of minority tribes, will not with their eyes open and agree to subject themselves to second class citizenship under a Igbo nation and have thier oil resources distributed to new masters from the East. It reminds me of the misguided and disinformation led Brexit that has seen the UK leave the European union. Very much to great detriment to the UK. Restructuring is not the problem of Nigeria but bad governance. |
Odunayaw:To date we are not sure what and who we are dealing with in Katsina, Bandits, organised kidnappers, armed robbers, militant associated partners of Jihadists such as Boko Haram, Dylan Herdsmen, Miyetti Allah, etc, etc We have descended to the abyss in our national security, that one thing is sure we really have no idea of the duplicity of criminal and deranged groups in conflict. How did we get to this position ❓ ❓ |
Toju200:From the pictures you have posted this is a Bell 412. If l remember correctly they were procured by the former Governor of River's state and then seized by then Jonathan federal government. First of all l am sure you can clearly see there is absolutely no FLIR and or Thermal imaging camera and or pod on the helicopter. Boko Haram have HMG on thier gun trucks a low flying noisy helicopter with a huge searchlight in the night is essentially sitting duck. I admire once again your optimism but you cannot turn white to black. |
bidexiii:If you have the dexterity to look at my contributions in depth. You will find l hardly use the term LIAR. Even if a person is ignorant it's thier perspective albeit it misguided. But you have called me a LIAR. Below several news clips as well as the press briefing from the army PR Gen. Enenche. After watching the clips will you be gentleman and apologise ❓ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp20LxLvDGQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkqbFYn0Fcc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gBGTjHXH2I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sYWSmJWoJY |
Toju200:We are back to perspective and expectations. Using a huge searchlight in the middle if the night to look for people. That is so 1970's technology. You automatically become a target for gun trucks and even Rpg7's, because you are using the naked eye and flying low to find your targets. It really is an exercise in futility. Things have moved on in today's modern world basic technology means FLIR thermal imaging cameras. That's on a duplicity of platforms UAV's large and hand launched, multiple aircraft including helicopters. As well as on armoured vehicles. Means targets can be seen from 1-5 km and further depending on the platform used. With the right communications infrastructure and interfacing they should have been isolated within 30 minutes. With land forces making an effective cordon around the area of interest. They will be abandoning the children and running for thier own safety. This technology is almost standard across most countries with serious investment in law enforcement. It's become so cheap that civilian doing bit of hunting have FLIR. See vids below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZIqimq0EgM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTZjngaBClQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8UoWckCJ90 |
Toju200:A few questions and for you to consider. 1. How long did the operation take by the bandits, to round up these 300 children and take them captive.❓ 2. Within 5 minutes communication of the attack was made to security forces. How long did they take to respond and what was the nature of their response ❓ 3. How where the 300 children transported from the school through very inhospitable terrain❓ Did they walk, were they taken in trucks or on motorcycles. Imagine how long a convoy of sorts with 300 + children will be. Then ask yourself if a reactive delayed response is representative of a well trained and equipped army. The response was not PROACTIVE. Your response is a reflection of your expectations, unfortunately they are very LOW. In comparison to you l am guilty of expecting a LOT MORE. |
bidexiii:You used the diction RESCUED, all reports and even statements from the NA spokesman Enenche make it intrinsically clear that they were RELEASED. There is huge disparity between the two words RESCUE and RELEASED. If that's you definition of stooping low to degenerative thinking as you imply. Then you are part of the problem sycophancy which has rendered our nation to enthrone mediocrity. There is absolutely NOTHING COMMENDABLE about the Nigerian security infrastructure in this situation. You may wish to differ thats your choice. |
bidexiii:The diction is WRONG they were RELEASED by the kidnappers through the partnership associate offices of Miyetti Allah negotiating with a demon to free you from th devil. We have as a nation stooped so low, can we go any lower. |
Valkrie:There is an assumption that he who makes the loudest noise wins the argument. Look at the leader of IPOB and his narcissistic tendencies. Then look at the majority of his misguided and I'll informed illiterate members. If IPOB should become a political party then campaign and hopefully win every state government, national and state legislature election. And through very peaceful means actualize thier dream, it will.be very easy. I can assure you IPOB will struggle to win a single seat outside of Umuhai. |
Whyem15:You are trying to justify the unjustifiable. For how long has the military had knowledge of the locations of bandits, Jihadists, criminal kidnapping gangs. But in some cases corruption created inaction and complicity. With regards to Boko Haram and other Jihadists terrorists organisations in the North. It's inexplicable, Boko will attack with rickety gun trucks and we will abandon our MBT and run. Please there is no excuse for this level of crass ineptitude. Or shall we talk about 300+ boys kidnapped and walked through the bush on foot with our security response essentially non existent. Within 5 minutes of the attack the NA were informed. |
bidexiii:Are these combatants with AK and GPMG civilian JTF, ? Did not know there were any other forces empowered by law to carry military grade weaponry. |
SamuelAnyawu:Agreed without reservation or question. They are deranged and highly delusional enhanced with a cocktail of illegal drugs. On the other hand the NA combatants are not highly motivated. |
LTGEN:I was talking hypothetically. What was the exact verbatim comments of this individual German pilot and what was his rank. Without the exact comments we are talking wind and fresh air. The next thing is rank as an indicator of competence. Is he a Flieger ( private) or a very senior lieutenant general in the LUFTWAFFE. Can l ask what was said specifically because you have made a clear deduction, l have not. |
Whyem15:100% correct. |
BabaOwen:Gun trucks are used predominantly by Rag tag militia like the Boko Haram. These are soft skinned vehicles that should not be the majority vehicle in a modern army. |
Toju200:Without the specifics of the comments and the context it almost impossible to say this is good thing or not. That commendation could actually be comedic condemnation. For instance, l could commend the bravery and ingenuity of our Alpha Jet pilots carrying out bombing raids without precision bombs and modern fire control systems with AESA radars. Marvelling at the very limited infrastructural support given to our pilots. And therefore a condemnation of our Government. I am talking hypothetically. |
seankafor:I want you to consider with some rational objectivity your comments. The same villagers that are being beheaded and thier females taken captivate by Boko Haram. And you make a assumptive statement with absolutely no substance. The villagers are caught between a ROCK and HARD PLACE. The NA have proven to be very unreliable partners in protecting them if they give Intel about Boko Haram. On the other hand Boko has continously and murderously slaughtered these villagers like chickens. They literally live in HELL with no help from anybody. |
bidex111:Look at the number of soft skinned vehicles taking offensive positions. Don't you think that plays a big part in the incapacity of the NA to take a proper offensive stance against a Boko Haram militia. |
Odunayaw:This is the best post I have seem you make, I COMMEND YOU. This is most intelligent and far-reaching suggestion with regards to GAME CHANGER SOLUTION. For a better all inclusive Nigeria. SARS, SWAT, are all the outcome of failed governance. Government has failed at all levels because they are not ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PEOPLE. It is definitely not government for the people by the poeple. From the inception of our supposed democracy we had selection and not election. As a result there is no check or balance among the governmental institutions and our failed separation of powers. As a consequence we have. IMPUNITY, EXECUTIVE RASCALITY, and the long-standing convention of our democracy burned to ashes by PMB and his sectionist cabal. For example "Federal Character" Your suggestion creates a solution. There is a clause for the recall of any senator or house of representatives member. You just need to collect a certain % number of signatures of registered voters and his seat for that particular senatorial or representatives is up for relection. 75% of the electorate at least are under 45 youth in the Nigerian context. So if the END SARS can move from that position to #IMPEACH PMB# OR RECALL# You dont even need to on the streets demonstrating, the power of social media and networking will do the job. We give them one choice IMPEACH PMB or RECALL watch how they will dance to another tune. You may even add they must all sign up to be on government maximum salary scale level 16. That will reduce the cost of governance of the National Assembly by 90%. I may just start it on my twitter now. If Everyone does that now it will shake Aso Rock more than a thousand bombs or night and day protestors. |
Faithful007:Unfortunately our blood thirsty rulers and political elite, have always spilled blood to retain power. In this regards the masses are indispensable in thier quest for power. Nigeria has been a long standing pressure cooker and if we are not careful the lid will come off in an EXPLOSION OF FRUSTRATION that could be disastrous. This our tyrannical democracy believe in the efficacy of brutality, impunity and have no regard for the rule of ⚖ law. Why else would soldiers " unknown " illegally supposedly try to enforce a curfew at 7pm that does not take effect until 9pm. Then like some deranged militia fire into the crowd with AK47 on full automatic. The answer is simple the NA through its rank and file, believe they are "above the law". Indeed these are the historical vestiges of our past miltary dictatorships. Indeed our very own PMB carries that same ingrained mentality. I don't think there is any President in the history of Nigeria that has disobeyed more court orders. In addition tried to turn the Judiciary to a department of the Executive. The population are very much aware of this and may decide to be prepared to mitigate against impending murderous violence by the NA and or sponsored government armed thugs. Mitigate in this context be prepared to " hold your side " ii.e. self defence. I am from Warri, for boys to collect AK na small ting, and we could be facing something nobody expected. If you add to this boiling situation, the perception that PMB is looked upon by many as a tribalist and religious bigote. The infrastructure of the security services is perceived to be in the control of one particular Northern section of the country. This government has missed an opportunity to address multi faceted socio-economic issues and systemic government failure. They this government have chosen wrongly. I TRULY FEAR FOR OUR NATION. |
demolition:Do you recall years ago, when the Chibok girls were taken by Boko. The NA gave out three conflicting reports, 1. Nobody was taken. 2. They have rescued the girls. 3. They have located the girls and will soon recapture the girls. The NA have been caught time without number telling LIES, for decades. Where did the term " UNKNOWN SOLDIER " come from. |
shayyverr:U No get sense, people are being slaughtered and u deh talk football. |
I could not sleep last night. I am lost for words. I just cry for my nation and the blood spilled by a Brutish, blood thirsty government led by PMB. Killing innocent peaceful citizens expressing their indignation at government failure. Is this a democratic government or a military ddictatorship. |
chrisooblog:There is something very SINISTER going on in Nigeria. The depth of MURDEROUS deceit, manipulation that can send fully armed soldiers. They turned off the lights and CCTV at Lekki toll gate. There is high level government complicity in this bloody action. To open FIRE at night with limited vision with AK47 at full automatic. This not just REPREHENSIBLE but ILLEGAL and COMPLETELY BARBARIC. This goes all the way to the TOP and the buck stop with PMB. End SARS doesn't end with SARS, because it is w direct result of COMPREHENSIVE GOVERNMENT FAILURE in all of its Structure, the legislature, the judiciary and the executive alms of government have FAILED. Because this response, can result in civil uprising. l can assure you not all areas of Nigeria are going to sit and be killed like chickens by murderous soldiers. |

❓

and y'all don't think the army that is denying it when clearly we are seeing soldiers still on the perimeter of Lekki will not plant all this things to deviate attention.
