its not that they cant cross proficiently, more like we dont do lotta crossings.... Chuks is like robben, kalu(remember his brilliance againt ukraine) ejuke also like a right footed robben, we need and have got in osihmen, a fast and deadly striker and that is our style... Onuachu is just another Benteke scenario playing out...
Osimhen is not in the team so that comment is irrelevant.

It's shocking but outside Ighalo and Osimhen we are impotent.

Rohr on Onuachu :

'We can't change our style because of him, he has to adapt to our style. We don't have to play long balls, we have our style
'
Then what on earth was Onuachu invited to the team for huh to cheer lead.

That's just poor, poor recruitment and decision making.

IMO opinion Algeria are technically superior to us. However, we may have the advantage in terms of athleticism ( pace and strength) without any quality strikers and limitations in our midfield.

We may struggle to control the game and dominate possession in comparison to Algeria.

That means having a target man like Onuachu gives us options because Mahrez, Benrhama and others will run circles around us.

So we dispens with trying to dominate the midfield and use the speed of counter attacks and and good hold up play. Something Onuachu can do very well.

KC has zero hold up play and has no physical presence to trouble any decent defence.

Our attack without Ighalo and Osimhen is in need of an overdose of viagra it's very impotent.

For once somebody rated Awaziem. I wonder why we don't rate him here, he's actually better than most of the names been mentioned here for CB position, especially Ajayi.
Awaziem is a low quality CB and a very makeshift RB, after two seasons in better leagues he ends up at the back end of the Portuguese league.

His parent club does not rate him.

How are we expected to judge a player then.

A player is invited because of his club form, he comes to the national team and our style of play don't fit him, and, hence, he flops terribly, it's whose fault then.

Be sincere, did his performance at the afcon fill you up with confidence?
Agreed without reservation.

When you invite a player you invite him because of his established attributes. You then bring him in and don't play to his strengths.

Just like what Brendan did to Benteke.

Also your alternative of 50 drones nahh I won't take it. Are we deploying them in swarms or what.what are we using 50 Loong wing drones for.
Even the 2000 ifv or Afv and others you mentioned are like waste. we're not at war with any country.

Look how the chadians operate less equipped than us but(According to you) uprooted iswap from their territory in months
What's my issuehuh
1. Over priced i have done comparison analysis to prove and substantiate my view
2. Not best value, limited impact in this attrition war with a fluid enemy.
3. Better alternative options.
4. Use of NATO munitions not sustainable. Check cost of one BAE Systems rockets, incompatibility of non NATO munitions
5.Delivery time 6 years is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

Wing Loong II UAV available in the HERE and NOW.

Chinese don't publish costs, but what is certain Chinese precision weaponry is far less expensive than USA sourced munitions. We will find that the Chinese ATGM are probably on par with the USA ( NATO ) rockets.

Consider this we have 50 Wing Loong II UAV's each can give you ISTAR coverage 24/7/365 over the entire area of contention in the NE and beyond.

It mean it will almost be impossible for BOKO to carry out an ambush on our troops. Because there is oversight by the UAV.

That alone will reduce our casualty rate by 95%.

What the $500 million we can get 3000+ multiple armoured vehicles platforms. New and some Used refurbished and yet very capable.

That means no longer will our precious combatants will be driving around in soft skinned pick up trucks and dumpers trucks.

Finally, transfer of technology we should be making modern assault rifles, encouraging the private sector to get into this industry.

There is Nigerian that works with arms industry in the UK designed missiles. We have the people but can we create the enabling environment.

Classic deflection masked in unsolicited examples of successful youth players who have failed to make it at senior level, as if this phenomenon is only exclusive to football

Let's return to the statement I addressed:

What you said: "he will not even make it into any top academy in the EPL. He was technically naive and simply not good enough AT THAT TIME in 2016/17......."

My response: It makes no sense to say a player who performed better than products of an academy would not have been good enough for that academy at that time

What I didnt say : performance at youth level is a clear determinant for career success
EVASION and MISDIRECTION.

You avoid the substance and hold on to superfluous.

My long commentary highlights the limitations of youth football. At youth football you can quite easily overcome superior technical ability, strategy structure and philosophy.

With athleticism = speed and strength mental resilience and determination. Without being offensive to some here, age cheating as well.

However, youth football is not all about winning games but development.

As a consequence, boys winning youth games may win in the short term but become big loosers in the long term. Why they are not developing the skill set, technicalities and game management required to progress to the high levels of the senior game.

Having this in mind a lot of African players are at the top athletically speaking. But on arrival in Europe there are huge gaps in their development of technical ability and skill sets.

Having this thought in mind, after winning huge accolades at youth level. Many African players are actually very poor technically and would not be able to meet the standards required for the top football academies.

This is why a lot of our players spend two or more season in the youth teams almost relearning the game before they can progress.

It was in that context of the expectations of the top football academies, that my comments on Osimhen were objective and factual AT THE TIME.

You can accept or remain in a delusional bubble of the limitations of youth football.

Modified: So all the switch of allegiance they've been painstakingly explaining since morning you skipped them all or what?
Explanation without substantiation, l did not respond to the Balderdash because it makes it look like there is merit in it.

I know poeple who work in the English FA and for the PFA as well. But l also have swathes of FIFA regulatory documents. It's not hard to read up the legal framework under which decisions are made and the procedural steps.

My advice to you is to read Article 8.1 then you can know what is fact and fiction.

Declan Rice West Ham, had played for Ireland at all youth levels and even three games for the senior team.

On the 13th of February he made an official application for change of allegiance. It was not contested by the Irish FA and change of allegiance confirmed on the 5th March 2019 by FIFA.

If you recall the NFF made a complete disgraceful hash of Aina application that caused a delay and he missed a number of games.

My suspicion are Rohr being German simply called up the German FA made a verbal intention made sure there was no objections from the German FA complied with the regulatory procedures and FIFA then confirmed change of allegiance. Probably all done in less than two weeks.

I could do probably exactly the same in England for any of our Nigerian origin players born in England it's no big deal.

Osimhen won the golden boot in the 2015 U-17 world cup. There was also a certain team in that tournament that had players from Man City, Chelsea, Everton, Stuttgart, Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

Yet the same Osimhen - that played for a team that outshone these guys and ended up being the highest ever goalscorer in an U-17 world cup - would not have been qualified to play in the same academies that produced the "technically competent" players who could only manage a draw in 3 games.

My mind is blown!!
You have very limited elementary understanding and appreciation of football.

Youth football is at best indicative of potential but far from conclusive. It says this is place where you can anchor further progression upon.

Nigeria probably has the best record at U17 football in the World or very close to it.

Why are we not world Cup winners and have world class playershuh ❓ Because our dominance at youth level should by your rational transfer to the Senior game. But we are VERY FAR OFF.

In 2009 we hosted the World U17 cup we came second our players were outstanding. But where are all of them nowhuh ❓ Emma Sanni best player in the tournament, where is hehuh Borja top goal scorer, plays in the mediocrity of the Segunda División with Huesca.

However, Brazil that did not go anywhere in the tournament has three players who are truly either the best in the world or very close to it. Just to mention a few.

Namely. Allison - Liverpool goalkeeper
Coutinho - No introduction required
Neymar - ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Now maybe your mind will not just explode but also implode as you consider the folly of your irrational misguided inferences.

I could add look at Solanke outstanding at U21 level golden boot winner. U21 is more realistic of quality and potential than U17. But he could not transfer that dominance to the Senior game.

After £20 million pound transfer he is more or less a complete flop.

Osimhen has gone to Napoli for a world class fee a fee that is higher than the fee for Lukaku a truly a WORLD CLASS PLAYER arguably one of the best strikers in the World.

Thats a huge responsibility to live up too for a player who has not completed two seasons of first team football before his transfer and predominantly in lower leagues. There should be cautious optimism not euphoric hype and over expectations he is far from world class.

You overrate English sides. What is so special about Fulham so far?

That is how you said Osimhen will struggle in the English u23 league
.
Actually with regards to the bold AT THAT TIME , when l watched him at Wolfsburg.

I did not say he will not struggle in the English U23 league. l said he will not even make it into any top academy in the EPL. He was technically naive and simply not good enough AT THAT TIME in 2016/17.

Not me but Wolfsburg relegated him back to the youth team.

I then said he needed to RE-INVENT himself drop to a lower league and then climb back up. He must have read my post because thats exactly what he has done. The rest is history.

In 2014/15 Calvert-Lewin was nowhere good enough for any top EPL Academy, l dismissed him AT THAT TIME. But David Unsworth brought him into Everton. He learned very quickly and had been improving season after season. He is now top goal scorer in the EPL.

Tranmere fc conference side released a youth player not good enough. AT THAT TIME . That youth player is 17 now and playing for Real Madrid.

Eberechi Eze was released by Arsenal and a plethora of clubs nobody thought he would make it AT THAT TIME , before going to QPR. The rest is history, he is now in Crystal Palace.

Raheem sterling had an opportunity to go to Arsenal as a child. He chose QPR on the basis he would have a better opportunities. Liverpool bough him at 14, for £1.8 million. The first time l went with Raheem to the Barber shop. His feet couldn't touch the floor and he was very lightweight. I actually thought he will not make it AT THAT TIME. But a few years later and sometime in the gym, the rest is history.

Gnabry was released by Arsenal, Tony Pulis said he will never be a footballer. AT THAT TIME . Well he is arguably the best left winger in the World.

Everything in football is time related, today's star can be tomorrow flop and today's flop tomorrows star.

What I have said is very very normal and everyday practice. Thats why l gave a few examples.

Having that in mind, what eexactly is your point? ❓
