Which one is the winning team now?
This one or the one that won the last 2 game in which Ndidi was part of? undecided
You miss the point completely.

How long will Ndidi be Injuted for, how long before he is match fithuh

That is a considerable amount of time, those players playing if they continue putting in outstanding performances. Will make it difficult for him to immediately bench them.

Chairman, there is no problem here. When Ndidi returns, it is only expected that he would be gradually eased in.
And for a player of such quality l expect him to find back his footing in not too distant a time.
I absolutely agree with you.

But a note of caution, other players will be upping thier game to claim your position. This is football.

LMAO... Ndidi to fight for which position? cheesy
At CB??

Did you miss the part where Rodgers himself confirmed that Ndidi's CB role is temporary?
FYI, Leicester are in talks with Burnley to sign Tarkowoski..

Who will Ndidi now have to fight to reclaim his spot in DM?
Amartey? Choudary? Mendy? grin
I really do not know.

But when a team is perfoming and even beating the mighty Manchester city, the Manager will not be too quick to change a winning team.

You will have to fight for your place.

This is just the way football is, it is not unique to Ndidi.

Hoffenheim 4 - 1 Bayern Munich.

It happened today.

I guess that's the beauty of bundesliga too
Absolutely OUTSTANDING by Hoffenhiem.

However, Bayern have been winning this league almost year in year out, I indeed they have won it for the past 8 years consecutively.

That's essentially a one team wins all league.

There is no COMPARISON WHATSOEVER with the EPL on COMPETITIVNESS.

This could be a big problem for Ndidi.

Don't know how long Ndidi will be out for but speculation is at least 6/8 weeks. That means he will have to fight to claim his position back.

Add to that Rogers had played him as a CB, nonetheless, this is the nature of football. I do see Ndidi claiming his position but he will have to UP his game.

Vardy is looking injured why have they not called in KC, whyhuh

Oh my goodness Maddison has just scored a SCREAMER.

Very simple, THERE IS NO MERIT to his call up.

You cannot use emotive sentiment based favoritism and speculative projection to call a person to the national team, WHO HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in senior first team professional football.

There is no JUSTIFICATION whatsoever.

Dear komekn, I hope with the above post you can now see clearly your double standard on Joseph Yobo's appointment into the technical crew of the Super eagles
You lack understanding and your use of the diction " double standard " not applicable or relevant.

We are talking player selection criteria not criteria for coaches they are two different things. You may not have noticed.

But back to your failed proposition. In the first instance, l know that Joe is far more competent than any locally trained coach.

But in the second instance there is competency measured by participative experience.

This is why in a lot of Western universities if a person can show relevant competency industry related experience, the requirements to have a first degree will be waved and you will be admitted to the Master post graduate programme.

Finally, tell me what qualifications Rohr the national team has pleasehuh

Eduardo Camavinga plays for France and he is in his age group.
He might be in the class of Mikel or cammavinga. The fact that red bull brought him and he walked into the first team of Tsv Hartberg shows something. Besides it is a friendly.
Osimhen too was very inexperienced when Rohr gave him his debut. Who are you to judge his level of talent and maturity. He might be a world class player who matures fast.
One thing i have noticed is that Rohr has an eye for talent even at an embryonic stage
There is no COMPARISON, Eduardo has been CONTINOUSLY CONSISTENT AND OUTSTANDING over three seasons of first team football. He has not just played 2/3 friendly games and he is only 17. This kid is literally an enigma.

With regards to the second highlight in bold, that's nonsense.

Do you know it's possible for a person too fail JAMB and fail his SSC and if admitted to university still make a first class.

It's not the issue.

It's about objective clear cut criteria as the basis for selection to the SE. Because if the very nature of " OUR SELVES " Any opportunity for sharp practices will be used and abused.

I know that to get into the U17 and retain your position you need some Godfathers. NFF official pursue self interest not national interest.

As a consequence selection should be by MERIT, what is merit CONTINOUS CONSISTENT OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES in your club and league.

I think with the emergence of onyeka, offorboh and tijani the DM position will be well covered in no distant time
If you are talking about Oforboh l have my doubts in the HERE and NOW he is not Outstanding.

Frank Onyeka l don't know much about, one thing l do know if you are outstanding in a lower league better teams from higher leagues come for you.

This is his 4th consecutive season and he is still in the Danish league with Midtjylland fc, that is a league that's more or less on par with the English league one. He is getting paid a pittance, so he should be hungry if not for football success then £££€€€. Why is he still therein thus backwater league ❓ Because he is too goodhuh

Samson Tijani has signed with Austrian side Red Bull, how many games has he played to justify a call up to the SEhuhhuh.

Selection to the Senior national team should be by merit. Not by speculative projection.

My suspicion which is not without substance and l have said this before. When you play for the youth national team in Nigeria particularly the U17. This becomes a big opportunity for European football. As a consequence you will have sponsors or Godfathers within the NFF. Which is the DNA of most activities in Nigeria, it's simply corruption.

This means you will be given undue favour to boost your career. Because a huge benefit is coming the way of your sponsors.

Below a excerpt from a report on the matter of Tijani, we can see obvious CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

Make up your own mind.

As previously reported by this website, a top NFF official based in Lagos, Dotun Coker, who is the Chairman Technical Committee Lagos State Football Association, Siji Lagunju of the NFF Technical Department and Chief Joseph Uzoma Ebowusim will receive monetary payments for the transfer of the defensive midfielder.

No. Not at all. But I remember saying all that time that Ujah will flop. And it wasn't borne out of hate but it was said out of very keen analytical observation of the kind of talent he is.

I even went on to say the chances of Simy having 20 goals in a serie B season is higher than Ujah having 15... And in the end, what was the result? Was I not proven right again?

So this is not about who would have the better season but about being realistic on our players' talents. I knew Nacho was gonna bounce back in 2019/2020. It didn't surprise me. And I knew Simy was gonna have a great season in Serie B. And I knew Ujah was not gonna do anything special in the Bundesliga or in all competitions. It was all analyses. Analyses that were later proved correct.
TheSuperdelusional living in the land of make believe, Disney Land.

After 20 games in the EPL last season he scored 5 goals, Your definition of "Bouncing Back". What was he Bouncing Back from, the 2018/19 where he played 30 games and scored 1 goal.

Smiles ,I was so happy for nacho last season because he still managed to score despite the little game time

I will still call it average at least not below average which can be tagged as someone who have a bad season like ujah and some few others

Maybe if nacho had scored like 15 goals then I will go with the above average

He scored 10 goals in all competition na ? If na 5 goals he score dem go call am below average that’s why I can’t see 10 goals more than being average
The Benchmark is the EPL not low level opposition in cup games.

He scored 5 goals in the EPL after 20 games, the previous season he scored just 1 goal after 30 games.

These are not figures to call a player OUTSTANDING. Let's be truthful and balanced, this is a £25 million striker.

Maradona was a good player but a bad coach. Coaching and playing are two different things. Some level of certification is needed.
Besides a rookie like Yobo should not handle the Super Eagles. He can start with the junior team or a local club side.
It cuts both ways.

There are highly experienced, inept and incompetent coaches with full badges as well. Having a badge doesn't make you a great coach.

There are excellent players who are also excellent coaches too, Zidane, Pep, Cocu, etc

Gerrard and Lampard can be described as rookies but they are very good coaches.

And yes there are ex players who are clueless, l remember my friend Fash who brought a team of " U18 Nigeria All Stars" to Manchester in 2013, they had some good players but my team flogged them 8-1. They simply were not coached properly playing as individuals but not as a team.

They were supposed to play Manchester United and City but it didn't go well after that.

Yet, you are fined or arrested for failure to have that drivers certification.

People spend years to obtain certification so as to become coaches. Yet, you appoint someone with no basic training??

A good experienced player does not make a good coach, either. Those are two different spheres.

Disrespect?? Do you employ people with no qualifications or experience to your jobs??

There are Nigerians who are experienced professionals, but who have also spent years, sweat and money to become certified coaches. You do not receive that knowledge because you played the game.
I passed my driving test in the UK after one lesson ( I studied the theory on my own) and passed at first attempt.

There were many of my Nigerian brethren who attempted up to 7 times before they could pass.

What is experience knowledge by participative application.

The better the arena, organisation and or placement the experience is gained from , the more valued that experience. And you could say better quality application as well.

Thats why your first place of employment will define to a large extent your degree ad infinitum.

I expand if you trained to be a chef and your first job is at the Ritz Paris, you have given yourself high level value. If your first job is at Mr Biggs then you have given yourself identity at that level.

If you studied Chemistry but worked at Goldman Sachs ( investment banking group) and become an investment analyst, your career is literally defined in the high elite income bracket of the world.

If you studied Finance and Economics but worked for Oredo local government council, your career is defined at the level.

I know about coaching badges in England's Scotland and the requirements to get them. It is not problematic and from my perspective very simple.

For Yobo to get a placement at Everton and get his badges will take him 6 months or thereabouts, in most cases EPL players are given lots of discretion and it's just a matter of fulfilling all righteousness.

So tell me what local coaches know in Nigeria that he Yobo doesn't know and can probably school them on.

I remember years ago when some Nigeria internationals were appalled at the low level and understanding of the coaches. They offered to get a defensive coach from the EPL at thier own expense. Of course the NFF coaches did not like the idea.

Be realistic, there is knowledge by association the higher that association the better the knowledge, understanding and application.

Is it not the same NFF that appointed Yobo with no coaching qualifications to the super eagles.

Once Rohr leaves, they will appoint a mediocre coach to the super eagles.
I expected you to know better.

Having a driving licence doesn't make you a good driver. Having a coaching badge doesn't make you a good coach.

It's a very basic certification.

Yobo is an accomplished that has played at the highest level and has an experiential knowledge base that exceeds ANY COACHING BADGE.

Have some respect.

You will say you are more patriotic than we that are here in nigeria but your actions speak other wise. Like seriously, how can a sane human and somebody who deem his self a patriot consider a player from league one as a prospect to the nigeria national team.

Is it that you dont think before you write or you just enjoy the attention ?

This is a hypocritical double-standard without any restraint
.

How many players have been talked about here as prospects playing in some of the most backwater league in Europe. But you found no issue with that.

First tier league does not automatically equate to high quality players.

In this regard we have players talked about playing in Latvia, Azerbaijan, Nordic leagues, etc.

However, you find no issue with that, but find issue with players in the English third tier.

My proposition has never changed, "Better a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league"

I want to remind you that one of our most outstanding midfield players Joe Aribo came from league one. But you have prejudiced induced amnesia so you have not taken that into cognisance.

Current striking prospect Josh Maja came to prominence from league one. And if we look at the EPL, Dele Alli went from league one to Tottenham and England international in one move literally.

Calvert-Lewin left League one with Sheffield United he wasn't even outstanding but straight into the EPL and Everton, the rest is history.

But you in your incomprehension misguidedly think you are thinking rationally.

Ignorance is bliss.

We have invited some players to the SE from low level leagues , who have not been outstanding and if them why not players in League one.

Meanwhile l did not say they were outstanding or immediate candidates for SE call up. But you could not restrain yourself to make a far from helpful comment.

We have players from the Danish Super league a league that is on the same level as the Scottish league. Which is widely held to be on the same level of English football league One.

I will not accuse you of not thinking, because you don't have the knowledge or capacity to appreciate what I ppresent.

No be your fault LOL.

Stats have to be used to complement your view they don't constitute your entire deduction.

For instance look at the statistic, ASSISTS, a players could have a very long throw ( Rory Delap Stoke City) and is able to use his long throw in like a corner kick. The team may score 10 goals from those throw in over the season. That player will be attributed with 10 assists.

Or indeed you have a central defender who just kicks and hoofs the ball up from never passes. His big tall powerful striker gets it and scores, it will be classed as an assist.

Meanwhile Adama Traore or Maximin at Newcastle may receive a pass from the goalkeeper dribble, outpace and out muscle 5/6 players pass it to the midfielder who lays it on for the striker.

Meanwhile he has done everything but is not given any accolade according to statistics.

So you really need to watch the whole gamelan the players impact not just look at statistics.
