That's why I said he's going to be stuck there for at least 2 years and by then, the "wonderkid" tag would've diminished....
Football is a very short term career.

You have to strike while the iron is hot.

You can be hot this season and next season and you have become cold.

Meanwhile there is always someone else looking to take your position.

TheLoneCitizen:
First of all, Iheanacho is in a favourable situation, his contract expires in 2 years time, if he has not been getting game time by then he leaves.

Secondly, Iheanacho is growing into a more complete striker without us noticing. Let's compare him with Vardy by game time.

Better Goal contribution per 90
Vardy's non-penalty G+A per 90 is 0.74, Iheanacho contributes 0.87.

Iheanacho hits 50% of his shots on target , the 5th highest in the league.
This comes even though he averages the 9th most shots per 90 in the league.

Creativity wise, Iheanacho is involved in 3.6 goal attempts per 90, compared with Vardy's 1.72. This puts him comfortably in the Top 20 in the league's most creative players. In fact, Iheanacho is one of the few strikers on this list.
He also averages the same key passes per 90 as Vardy.

Vardy carries the ball over a progressive distance of 60m while Iheanacho does this over a distance of 90m per match.
To illustrate better, against Arsenal Vardy had 19 touches over 90mins while Iheanacho who played 58mins had 21 touches.

This shows that while Vardy is playing as a poacher, iheanacho is becoming a creative forward. He is definitely improving learning at top-level.
All this your convolated manipulation of statistics to prove the implausible.

That he is what a quality striker, it doesn't work.

Three seasons at Leicester City, 68 games and 9 goals that's abysmal for a player calling himself a good striker.

Goal to time played ratio is not an absolute in determining goal probability and or quality. Football is not a mathematical equation.

This is self deception bordering on delusion.

Iheanacho will be Leicester's number 1 in the coming seasons.

Vardy is 10 years his senior and will peter out in the coming years. Iheanacho is currently having his best season since his Man City days. Next season brings European football, and rotation is needed. He is a compatible backup for the league's highest goal, which is a good thing.

He probably made a mistake in remaining in England when he left Man City, but he will make a bigger mistake if he decides to leave now that the board and fans are generally satisfied with him.
You are being delusional with regards to KC

Make this bobo choose Napoli oooo

As much as I like the EPL, there isn't a surety that any EPL club is willing to spend that much to get him....

And Napoli have truly shown how much he is needed...

Its his choice at the end of the day sha
Add to that who is he going to bench.

Particularly as speculation has it that he is looking at Manchester United and Arsenal.

Not advisable.

I expect Tottenham to make a move for him since they only have Kane as their only striker.

Remember when Kane was injured and they have to be playing false 9 with son and lamela filling in the gap.
Why do you think that ❓

Is he the only young Quality striker available in Europe ❓ and or in French league.

He was not a prospect for England he had not played one senior first team game for Arsenal in the EPL before he was given a call to the SE.

Sone Aluko who was established proven and tested was ignored in successive games and he had almost no competition in the SE in recent times.

The influence of JJAY his uncle cannot be ignored as well.

Then why are we not seeing them in the top teams of Europe.

I have probably been to every EPL academy at one time or the other as well as to many Championship and lower team football academies.

I have been to quite a few "academy" in Lagos, Benin, PH and quite a few other places. To b e honest there is HUGE GAP in the quality of training and facilities.

European teams can not cap all the Nigerian origin players. With regards to English football there is no EPL academy thar doesn't have Nigerian origin players in it.

There are many more Saka's you just haven't seen them yet.

Like l have said before statistics are not conclusive they are indicative. They are supposed to guide you in making an informed objective decision and are not the decision in themselves.

If Indeed those statistics are true.

What does it actually mean❓ that he is outstanding quality, a top defender his team is top quality, etc.

Paderborn is a poor team that has been on the relegation bottom slot from the inception of the Bundesliga.

Out of 34 games played in the Bundesliga they only were able to win 4, the end up with a total points tally of 20 pts. The next team to them had 30 points.

That tells us the team literally spent the whole season defending indeed they conceded 74 goals the highest in the league.

That means that they will probably have the highest blocks, interceptions, clearances, because that's what they came to do DESPERATE DAN DEFENDING.

It's a reflection of very poor quality and inability nothing to commend. Colin sadly remains poor quality desperate Dan defender.

Yeah we have a poor man’s army, for you it’s not an achievement but for those soldiers that face he’ll on the frontline it’s helping and saving lives.
If the government funds the Army well we shouldn’t be seeing stuffs like these, but this is bought out of “when the preferable is not available then the available becomes preferred”.
I really don't have the statistics.

But when we hear of the massive amounts or asset acquisition by the top brass of the army and it's just not Burutai. This has been ongoing for decades.

Let's make an informed and objective assessment.

How much has been spent on the NA in particular and the Armed forces in general over the past decades. So we can assess if Indeed they have been underfunded.

There is also the judicious and prudent use of scarce resources for the best value and most effective delivery impact.

It reminds me of something l saw in the civil war memorial museum at the UNN in the early 90's.

It was a Mercedes-Benz 911 truck made into an armoured vehicle by the then Biafran army with several corrugated iron sheets welded together to create armour of about 70mm thick. I dont think there was any mine protection just all round body armour.

Very rudimentary but effective.

That's what this reminds me of.

Lagos state origins are from Benin. What does that even mean? The last i checked the Aworis, Ijebus were the original indigenes of Lagos.
I absolutely do not dispute.

What it says is that Lagos has been cosmopolitan for many centuries, yes the Benin Kingdom extended to Lagos and created it's first Oba. But there would have been a duplicity of people there from the beginning.

Who was there first, l have no idea.

Who is there now, everyone.

Iheanacho links better with Maddison and Tielemans than Vardy
It's very simple he is not fast enough to keep up.

I said a few posts ago that Osimhen best club to go too would be Leicester.

Brendan would develop him as a future replacement to Vardy give him game time che would be learning from a master.

Add to that there will not be much competition and there will be patience. However, if they pay stupid money over £50 million then that could be a burden.

A not of caution, remember our proven and tested in Europe striker / winger Ahmed Musa all his speed couldn't do anything for him. He ended up in a worse position than KC.

The bolded is a very big lie.. All the past governors of Lagos can trace their origin as far back as 3 generations to other states in Nigeria..
Check the Lagos State house of assembly, you find people from other tribes aside Yoruba and Egun there..
You miss the point.

I have watched Yoruba leaders in the APC demanding Yoruba leaders in Lagos not neccesarily Lagos indegenous people. That's the wrong attitude it is the same with all tribes in Nigeria, that is the prevalent attitude. It's not unique to the Yorubas.

Indeed unlike any other state Lagos is far ahead in terms of its cosmopolitan nature. But it's still not far enough.

With regards to Lagos State, it's origin are from Benin indeed the Oba of Lagos has allegiance to the Oba of Benin where his staff of office emanates.

So the actual historical true indegenous people will be a very small % of the total population of Lagos today.

It's the same prevalent attitude that will play out, if l attempted to try and contest election in Warri some will argue I am not an indigene of Warri.

What's perverse, it's much easier for me to contest an election in the UK as an MP and win than state assembly in my own Delta state.

Even the ones here are always not helping matter

Iwobi was subbed out at the first half and there is nothing wrong in that ,he has started their last 3 games ,if he is that bad he wouldn’t have started those games

Majority of them here like mocking iwobi for no reason but they can defend some certain players with the last drop of their blood

No matter how many of them might talk iwobi will remain an important player to Everton next season

Their favorite players can’t do wrong in their eyes but iwobi can always do wrong in their eyes
Fans are very emotive and you must look at Everton what thier value system is based on primarily.

And it's essentially endeavour, hardwork and EFFORT. You must always show these attributes to be a fans favourite.

And if you think Iwobi gets it bad look at Moise Keane imagine how he feels. Once the Darling and rising star Of Seria A and Italian football.

He is fast becoming a Falling star.

how about tribalism..bro.
one thing I have noticed Africans are serial hypocrites.

come to think of it.....a black man is safer in America and lot of European countries than Nigeria and other Africa countries where they can be easily killed because of their tribe/religion/social strata etc

no matter how we try to make it look racism is on same pedastal with tribalism.

if we happened to be in the shoes of this white I am so sure by now we won't even wanna see any colored let alone help them get a job

in Nigeria alot of opportunities are there someone from a minority ethnic group can't get simply because of his/her tribe even in marriage we are tribalistic and I am so sure we will openly lamblast the whites for racism in marital choice too
In this regard Nigerians are shallow and shamelessy bigoted with unapologetic double standards.

There are people who are third and even fourth generation born in Lagos. But somehow they are not considered indegenes of Lagos and should not contest election in Lagos state.

If we are to follow the views of tribalists.

Obama is an African that became president of the USA.

Federal capital territory seems to have an unspoken convention you must be from the North to contest election.

In my experience l disagree.

There are some things you can coach but the eye for goal and finishing for a 18 year old are outstanding.

It reminds me of a certain Rooney when he first came to train at Everton first team as a 16 year old.

I remember one of our Naija players telling me at that time. See one small boy deh disgrace old men for team, that he had to sit up SERIOUSLY in playing with him.

I have seen him play it's not a fluke, to shoot instinctively with such precision left and right foot with very little back lift and limited space.
