elyte89:I will not disagree with that view. |
do4luv14:The majority of Deltans are not Igbo no matter what you define Igbo to be. There is historical origins but even in that thee is still a lot of mixes. For instance the lka have mixed heritage some from Benin some from Igbo. That's why you find a lot of people from Agbor, Ika have obvious Benin names like Idehen and Obiagbona , etc. |
bidexiii:This is not an argument. It is clarity, because you have misconstrued my statement. And added your explanation to my comments. Because you have created misinterpretation I have to bring explanation of what l mean by the word EFFECTIVELY. |
bidexiii:Please keep in context and the diction used. I said EFFECTIVELY that means thier capacity to hold territory and dominate and control areas will be decimated. It doesn't mean that they don't exist but that they will not have the capacity to attack towns and render governance non existent in whole local government areas. Particularly in the North parts of Borno. |
Odunayaw:"True to your nature" What nature? The one your self birthed perception has led you to. You may find the 48hrs hard to comprehend, l for one do not. There is nobody in the know, in the NE who doesn't really know where Boko Haram main points of concentration and operation are. However, if you don't have the assets ( or choose not to) to effectively manage simultaneously 25 spatial points of sustained and continous engagement with the enemy it will be a problem. It may seem incredulous to you but perfectly attainable to others. |
GabrielYulaw:It's common sense. Strategic projection. If your neighbour they buy gun plenty and na only cutlass you get, the day gbeghe go drop you go turn slave. In reality the geo politics of that very volatile region requires that if you want peace you should prepare very strongly for war. And yes Egypt is an issue a country that can easily start a proxy war with you if they think you are threatening thier interests. |
GabrielYulaw:Agreed without one iota of reservation and or question ❓ |
Wilstino:Extreme sycophantic delusion, so now you can determine Covid 19 with the naked eyes. Everyone wears a mask because it's protects everyone not just one individual. Very poor example by the President. |
Habane:We are in a nation where the truth is often BITTER. And speaking the truth can get you in big trouble. I know very senior NA officers who will not speak the truth. They will speak what the powers that be want to hear. |
SamuelAnyawu:Sorry error double post |
SamuelAnyawu:It is clearly apparent there are two wars going on here. One in which the truth is being destroyed and another where disinformation is being pushed. We had a very distressed Senator in the National Assembly from North Borno making it intrinsically clear that the entire northern sector was effectively in the hands of Boko. But he was treated like a person who was deranged and his words barely caused a murmur. The truth is very bitter and those who speak the truth are considered the unpatriotic enemy. Both in the virtual and in the real world. You need to completely and entirely stay anonymous and even if possible use VPN this thread is being monitored. You can see the example of Sowore who is in the public eye. This war is so political and filled with fifth columnists. I will not disclose but speaking to a very high ranking NA officer. He said that this war could be effectively over in 48 hours if there was sincere political will from the top. This matter pass you, REMAIN ANONYMOUS Please |
Fynline:I watched it and yes this is not just deceit but guided intended disinformation. Not surprisingly we have some right here you may have observed. |
Toju200:Thats the theory but the reality of practce is always something diffrent. Even the USA has made some very bloody murderous mistakes with all thier precision weaponry and satellite tech and intelligence. A sad very sad unintended mistake if its true. |
bidexiii:Have you done any in depth open source investigations. I for one have not done to any depth personally. It can be very time consuming and the scope expansve before you start harvesting the data to micro relate it, then using other sources time link it spatially to make very credible conclusions on the specifics. Conclusions that are considered substansive enough to be presented in a court of law and convictions obtained. It may be difficultin in parts of Africa because the digital footprint will have some gaps but not impossible. |
kabe1:Argument for argument sake. Abuse and name calling for no apparent reason or rational. Beyond your own misguided delusional perceptions. Look at how you expose your complete lack of understanding prejudiced has blinded your reasoning. What is the difference between a Paratroop and Commando Parachute group. It's like saying what's the difference between Commandos and a Commando Regiment. In the UK you have Commando brigades with multiple groups within the brigade with different designations as you would have in France and most EU countries. Again what's your point ❓ You are in your confusing yourself. Going back to my original post on the subject, l made no CONCLUSIONS WHATSOEVER but gave several options Paratroopers, Legionaries and finally don't know. So how did you conclude that to be MISINFORMATION as you tagged it. You are creating misinformation and confusing yourself with your own self birthed deluded deductions. Below my original post as it seems you have forgotten. I wonder if someone is paying you to derail the thread with irreverent contention, confusion gutter language abuse. It's bewildering.
|
kabe1:You have become fixated with my posts but with vitriolic and condescending rhetoric. But why ![]() We are in lock LOCKDOWN so l have some time to indulge you. You are comparing a search and destroy mission in a completely isolated hostile territory, that is taking place over several weeks. They are sleeping in the harsh open Sahara over several weeks maybe over a month . They are blowing up potential IED's. Tracking phone calls seeking out Jihadists. An area bigger than the whole of Nigeria. The journalist was embedded with them for a week + not a day. They did not drive on any tarmac and avoided pre existing tracks. They were going to very isolated hostile villages. Not a big city like Maiduguri. Thier formation was attack based not single file and clearly in danger of attack at any time. The visited the place were Us soldiers were ambushed. So they covered at least 500 km or more on that period. The purpose and intent was not cheap publicity but a concerted specific search and destroy mission. The entire operation with the COAS with multiple soldiers and journalists in tow, had one purpose publicity. That's a true PR exercise. There is no comparison. It seems you are just here to cause discord and unnecessary contention. No genuine intent for constructive criticism. |
kabe1:You seem to be one of those people that just like argument for argument sake. You don't make any sense. Because l did not make any conclusion WHATSOEVER, l gave possible options Parachute regiments or Legionnaire l even said l don't know. You need to understand the difference between Specail forces, Specialist forces and a specail missions. And in a mission you will have quite often mixture of combatants from different regiments all pulled together. It's not particularly important or relevant. What's your point, are we train spotting here❓ From the YouTube video you can see the 126th Regiment, and a quite a few others. As you should know it's an EU supported operation with the French leading. For you to educate yourself watch and learn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7dfnYno6v8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4ItnZFkItw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jf9H7OPDoP0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_86EZWeCddU |
kabe1: . Lol |
kabe1:Not really. There are Specail forces and thier are Special forces. Seem like your regular Legionnaire to me then they might be the Paratroopers, dont know, didn't check. |
GabrielYulaw:Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL LOL ![]() |
Habane:Thank you. I have already been to so many places like the best Owo and Starch joint in Effurun Warri. Or can you suggest another Lol. |
barackodam:Impressive |
GabrielYulaw:There are thousands of Nigerians fighting in the US armed forces. It's possible for you to join the British armed forces get commissioned and then resign and bring your knowledge and experiential expertise gained by strict merit. To Nigeria and join the NA, do you think you will be WELCOMED❓❓ |
bidexiii:Interesting video, it shows how intrinsic communication and supply chain logistics are in fighting terrorists. The need for long-range reconnaissance patrols into hostile territory on search and destroy missions is extremely ESSENTIAL. The French have huge amount of logistical support. They can call up attack helicopters at moments notice or more. They are living in a 5* hotel compared to our guys. Imagine they drink 5 litres of water a day. They use the Toyota gun trucks but not as transport three gun ports on one truck. Stabilised with optic sights. Complemented with other light armoured vehicles. They never go on the same track twice or existing tracks. They are able to track phone calls. This Sahara area in the North of Mali and Niger, is an area bigger than Nigeria. The Mali army is totally incapable. And they are seeking the enemy. I really think our NA should have a presence in these areas. It is obvious that they are linked into Boko and form part of thier supply chain. |
bidex111:I don't judge a book by its cover. But the substance of its composition. |
GabrielYulaw:You know l could never advocate that here. I am sure that you know that this particular forum is being monitored by the NA. |
jaeybee98:In 201/13 there was a shortage of combatants and the British army started recruiting directly from some common wealth countries. In particular Gambia and Ghana in considerable numbers. They wanted to come to Nigeria but the political vibes were not encouraging. Quite a few Nigerian have while at university applied for reserve officer training and from there gone full time regular. I met the son of a very senior officer who was on the programme. Be warned it's not a game you will find yourself deployed in very hostile environment in Iraq, Afghanistan and now more recently the joint EU operation this year in the West African Sahara. But applying directly from Nigeria when you are not resident in the UK simply not viable. It's also a more expedient way to go through citizenship application with s higher favourable response. Beyond that l can't say anymore or know anymore. |
Whyem15:Just watched TVC news and a Nigeria army spokesman is explaining that Chadian soldiers are in Magali and have taken it over neutralised the Boko elements in the area. Is that your definition of PR. |
BlackBaron:I don't think you understand. Because you have no sense of practicality, prudence and pragmatism. As well as strategic deployment. How big is the land mass of the NE❓ How many individual units of insurgents will be operating across the entire theatre that present a current and continous threat in multiple locations at any one time.❓❓ At any one point in time how many actual engagements with the Boko enemy are ongoing latent and active by the NA❓❓❓ I really don't know, but l think SamuelAnyanwu can give us some insight. But l would project across there are at least 50 Fluid Hot spots across the NE at any one point. Then you buy how many tanks to deal with that huge spread of the NE , you are using a table spoon to dig a trench, it's ineffective. Countries who are very serious about making sustainable impact procure assets in 100's of units, not 10's. It's like saying you have to move 1000 people by road to Abuja from Lagos. Then you buy a $400k Rolls Royce Culinan it's the best SUV fastest most comfortable and luxurious but it doesn't meet the required need. On the other hand you could get 60/70 4x4 Ford Expedition or Chevy Suburbans Big sized 8/9 seater SUV's not more than 8/9 years old. That does it all almost in one go. With $152 million, in the same way you could procure over 200 BTR80's,100+ T72/64, 100+ BMP3's as well as 200 multiple light armoured vehicles e.g.Gaz Tigre. And you will still have change. That means you can have complete strategic spread across the entire theatre of the NE that changes entirely the dynamics of the War and creates the capacity to completely wipe out Boko. There was a highly decorated T72 tank commander Colonel in the NA, who was killed without his tank. Because they were rotating the tank assets across to different engagements in the NE, because they didn't have enough. It's not EFFECTIVE because you haven't bought enough assets to make a sustainable long term change and difference. Furthermore, we are not engaging in a sophisticated enemy in Tank to Tank warfare, like Algeria or Egypt. |
kabe1:Considering the bold, can you give specific clarity on the actual items of MISINFORMATION. That way l can correct the errors and even apologise. |
bidex111:I apologise in giving you misleading information. Particularly in the context of " The future of COIN aircraft is the A29" which you claimed is the way forward. My assertion was that the future for COIN is going to be UAV's that can give you 40 hour coverage and overwatch with ability to drop precision ordinances and smart weapons. I reiterate I said that's the future. I was sorely wrong. Because that assumption of future projection is already HERE . A quick look at a few defence resources and l was quite shocked at the speed of R%D that had now gone forward into production and actual deployment. The one that shocked me the most was the UAE Adcom Systems, Yabhon United 40. The figures are 1000kg payload and 100 hours flytime with 26k ceiling, endurance that's crazy stupendous to me. Algerian airforce has two. However, l don't think the UAE had the command and control infrastructural technology for long distance control. So it may be control within a 400-600km limit. There are quite a few UAV's that carry huge payloads and exceed the 40 hr coverage. I've done two screenshot for your info. What we don't know is how much they cost. The now battle tested and proven Turkish Anka has a 24hr endurance and 500kg payload. Tunisia just signed a contract last month. For 6 Anka attack drones and 3 ground control stations which amounts to $240 million, the infrastructure for a ground control station will be millions. The UAV's were about $4 million each, but now battle tested and proven they can probably double that to $8-10 million. The British Skyguardian has some very impressive attributes as well. 40 hour endurance but a shocking payload of near 2000kg of smart weapon and precision ordinances. Your question ❓ prompted me to take a deeper look, thank you.

QuietMynd:It's pertinent to keep my comments in context. The context was "Future projected" aircraft that will dominate in near future. I was contending the view given by Bidexiii that the A29 is the future of COIN. I gave a projection where future UAV will dominate with 40 hr coverage, to do over watch and other mission support duties for ground troops. I was totally wrong in my futuristic assumptions. That future is already here and exceeded . |
