charlesemeka85:I watched him play wing with very good end product. |
charlesemeka85:I remember when l questioned his selection and the majority opinion here was he is a SPECIAL TALENT. He had not done anything but of course the delusional accolades coming his way were never ending. Of course some of us were given the usual obligatory dogs abuse and tagged HATERS. |
chrisooblog:The very apt and relevant diction you have used is POSSIBLE . The EPL is not a sprint but a marathon. Does Leicester have the capacity to main thier position in the face of clubs with better strength in depth. I can see despite the huge 9 point gap Manchester city catching them and them conceding points in the latter part of the season. Imagine Leicester lost Vardy hmmm or Ndidi hmmm Eéeeeeee get as go be for them. If Leicester loose just 1 or 2 key players it's season over for them. That's not the case of the 4/6 clubs below them. Liverpool have essentially won the league they have gone way ahead of everybody else. |
andrewbaba44:It's very simple. Arsenal need him more they will pay whatever it takes and part exchange players in the desperate quest to get him. I think they need a central defender desperately too. |
Subzero047:It's always about HERE and NOW in context. Because your HERE and NOW is present continous and if that continous is not consistent and outstanding then you start to drop. And if you drop then your immediate past affects the perception of your quality and the potential for you to go forward. However, that notwithstanding football has always had ups and downs. It's the world class players that seem to be on a continuous upward movement never dropping below certain benchmarks. |
charlesemeka85:Ndidi is already proven and tested he has nothing to prove at Leicester. When clubs buy players in the January window they are likely to pay more. Ndidi will go for nothing less than £55 million. That's effectively £5.5 million in his own pocket plus huge personal terms. Leicester will not win the league European football is probable but next season they will be back to mid table. Arsenal is a much bigger club and with far greater ambition they are having a bit of a downward spiral but they have the money to find thier way back. Will Leicester let him go yes, at the right big money price. |
LaMujer:I feel flattered that your purpose and objective in life is to prove me wrong. Thank you l am not that important. But in your single minded quest to prove me wrong you loose sight of the substance of the discourse. What have you exactly proven to be wrong that KC is now IN-FORM or that he has not been in the weekly inform ratings by skysports in a long time. You are being pedantic to the point of irrelevance. My language is ambiguous because it's not specific but indicative. The core point being KC has not been in the rating for a long time. That long time includes last season where he played 30 games. Nonetheless, if you are to use just this season he has been in the weekly inform ratings twice that's progress but not enough to conclude that he is IN-FORM. I commend your diligence in establishing that he has featured twice this season as opposed to once as my first post wrongfully and ambiguously implies. I completely admire a substantive approach as opposed to an assumptive one. Well done !!! So what exactly have you proven wrong in the context of the discourse ❓ screenshots below to remind you the substance of the discourse and where it emanated from.I should add that the weekly rating are largely academic and dont really have any impact assessment until it has an aggregate over a good number of games not just 1,2, 3 games, my benchmark would be at least 10 games. The word is minor inaccuracy as opposed to intended misrepresentation.

Philosopher1979:Now you are stretching the meaning of being REASONABLE to the EXTREME. KC has played 5 seasons in the EPL and has played 100 games and scored 18 goals. If everytime he plays he scores then how many goals should he have scored. You are the one doing mathematical theory of presumption by probability. Football is about quality and there is no mathematical equation that links time played to the probability of scoring. U deh deceive yourself infact you are deluded. There is nothing where those his statistics equates to excellence. It's the complete opposite but you guys well a lot of you are walking in fanatical delusion. |
simiife:Very sorry can't help you there. |
MediaGuru36:It's a wise step. Give the key of the safe to thief to hold, well done PMB. |
simiife:Location? ❓ |
Danielnino00:It's a very subjective question. You have to know him personally to answer that. I have met but l really don't know him personally. At City I knew him to be a very generous and considerate guy, in all honesty a joker who was quite childish sometimes. I think after his time at Liverpool he found some peace at Nice. But he is never really settled since he left Inter in my opinion. There are a lot of issues surrounding Balotelli at times his matter is complicated. |
Danielnino00:He is absolutely not a lazy striker. I don't know what your background in football is. But you need to look at the matter with more depth. For this reason a player that will excel in one club and Manager can completely flop in another one. However, excellent players have a capacity to adapt and excel in any type of league or club. Benteke is the quintessential POINT MAN and a true No.9. He needs the ball to be played a particular way for him to thrive. A way that aligns itself to his particularly skills set. When a cross is made into the box with Benteke in the box. It's not a 50-50 ball. It's more like 30-70 in favour of Benteke. Ball to feet with Benteke in the 18 he bullies defenders. But Liverpool did not play to his strengths and neither is Crystal Palace. This is why teams that thier focal point is one main striker ( apart from Messi) create a situation where that players unique skill set is over emphasised and may make him better than he is. Because the entire team strategy and culture is created to enhance the one player. Take him out of that set up and you may see a dramatic drop in performance. |
andrewbaba44:That's not what l am saying. My position has been consistent and without variation. My view is very simple, More Minutes played is not a mathematical equation that automatically equates to more goals will be scored. For example how many minutes did Solanke get at Liverpool. Not a lot but did he do anything substantial with it CAPITAL NO. That's why they didn't give him anymore minutes to waste and sold him to the mugus Bournemouth. So now he has gone to Bournemouth for £20 million and is playing a way lot more minutes than he has ever done. How many goals has he scored ❓ Zero NUTTIN. This your theory and or assumption is just WISHFUL THINKING. |
Kbs468:I will say this again. You don't have a right to play, You earn the right to play by what you do in training and on the field of play. You perform you play you don't perform you don't play. It's very simple. We arrive at the same conclusion he did not perform. Minutes played is not the decider of quality or goals that will be scored. |
LaMujer:Quite correct he made it in week 27 after his performance and goal scored. Proven and established with regard to week 27. I should have said he hasn't made it in a long time prior to week 27, that would be more exact. As you know "a long time" doesn't have a particular unit of measurement. So what exactly are you intending to prove❓ What is the substance of your argument and or view as the case may be. Because you do not seem to present any. |
Kbs468:You are dismissing his previous three seasons in the EPL and the y 2 seasons with Chelsea. This is Tega first real season with Chelsea and he has relegated Giroud and Batshuayi. Those previous seasons what did he do. Sometimes the value of a player is only appreciated when he is not there. Tega dudnt play one game because of Injury and Chelsea looked like a toothless Lion. There is not mathematical theory that intrinsically links outstanding quality and ability to number of minutes played. |
andrewbaba44:It's not about minutes. Whether you play 10 minutes or 90 minutes it's what you do with the minutes you get There is general assumption proven over time that the more you perform the more game time you will earn. And vice versa the less you perform the less game time you will get. Minutes played is not a mathematical theory that the more minutes you play the more you will perform and score. Football is OPPORTUNITY and what you do with it. Batshuayi did not perform. Very simple . |
Kbs468:The benchmark is the EPL not cup games and his tally in the EPL for Chelsea is 48 games 8 goals. It's not good enough. Why is he a substitute I mean Batshuayi. Why was he sent on loan after they bought him because he was too good. Do you think if Tega had not scored so quickly and effectively as well as imposing himself on the game with dominance he would be number one. Batshuayi whether he played 10 minutes or 99 minutes he didn't use his opportunity. He didn't use his time to claim position. Football is very impatient more so in the EPL and even more so in a big club like Chelsea. You get small time to claim position. It's very balanced and fair. You perform you stay you don't perform you get left behind. |
LaMujer:So we are discussing English language and not football. In language context qualifies the meaning of the text and diction not the singular adjective standing on its own. Ndidi will be a regular on the weekly inform ratings of players in the EPL that's my informed deduction. However, KC has not. That's the substance. My advice is if you wish to contend my view why don't you get the direct source content from skysports. Do understand what it means to be substantive and reference your position. Instead of giving a primary school irrelevant lecture on English language. |
somehow:Nothing is wrong. But to not see any team from Edo state is troubling and from what you are saying Bendel insurance has been decimated with politics and lack of funding Very sad |
andrewbaba44:Explain yourself. Tammy 16 games 11 goals Batshuayi 43 games 8 goals. I rest my case nothing more too say. |
somehow:Just looked at the result sheet. Does that mean there is no team from Edo state playing in the NPFL❓ What has happened to the former number one footballing state of Nigeria❓ the state that produced Bendel insurance, NNB, etc. |
Kbs468:That rating is it about consistent outstanding top quality performances. Or is it about lacking of quality competition in the AM role for him. Iwobi can be excellent one day and almost anonymous the next he needs to get a lot more consistency both in the SE and in his club. |
andrewbaba44:That's not true. Infact that's a lie. There were some players that didn't like him but there were more that did. Balotelli is a very generous and great natured guy that is widely misrepresentated in the press. |
andrewbaba44:Because I don't make hearsay statements or emotive based ones. If you say a player is better you should enrich the forum with your appreciation. Not just say because l said so. |
Kbs468:One question ❓ How long has Batshuayi been at Chelsea ❓ When Tega was a mere youth player. Batshuayi has been in the EPL for 4 seasons and after 43 games for Chelsea he has scored 8 goals. Is that what you call exceptional. Although he played 11 EPL games for Crystal Palace and 5 goals. I have said this before, you do not have a right to play. It's what you do in training and on match days that gives you the right to play. Whether you play for 10 minutes or 90 minutes whatever you do good, bad or excellent will be the basis for your selection or deselection as the case may be. Tega has hit the ground running with unquestionable excellence. There is no comparison.
|
jihday:What makes a striker is scoring goals what enables him to score goals is the system strategy and how he fits into it. Some players have absolutely excellent attributes and can adapt to any style and or system. For example Ronaldo. But look at Liverpool and how excellent strikers like Balotelli and Benteke were made useless. Benteke has never recovered from that experience. It's therefore great wisdom to look at the team you are speculatively going to and see if Indeed you can fit in and excel. |
charlesemeka85:THANK YOU There is a total lack of appreciation of the level of technical ability and skill required to play in the Barcelona first team. Particularly for midfielders and forward players. There are some clubs that will judge at youth level on just first touch before anything else. You may be able to get the benefit of the doubt if you have blistering pace. But first touch and close control are essential in a club like Barcelona. |
charlesemeka85:I don't agree with you on that. |
TheGoodJoe:Solanke is a very very lucky player. At youth level he was very good but since hitting 20+ he's essentially done NUTTIN. Even his coaches were suprised to be diplomatic that Bournemouth paid near £20 million for him. |
andrewbaba44:Explain how he is better Educate me be substantive with logic reasoning and objective measurement. |
