TheGoodJoe:I am now in enforced LOCK DOWN add to that LOCKED out of Nigeria effectively. So time to reflect Our so called political leaders have always been self seeking, they have never cared, so what's new. ![]() Corona reminds of the saying that the UK, USA, etc is a leveller, no impunity and no big man. Corona has levelled our politicians they are not immune. Trying to replicate the temperature climes of the West artificially with A/C and thier uninterrupted 24hr electricity will speed up thier deserved demise. Covid 9 thrives in lower temperatures, let them keep feeling cool. The poor who are forced to endure the hot harsh virus burning tropical weather, will inadvertently reduce thier propensity to the virus. Particularly if they can observe good hygiene and social distancing. Finally, undoubtedly without any reservation, there is God that's able to do the impossible and keep you safe more so if you know him. Write up sent to me Our chickens and guinea fowls are coming home to roost. Atiku's son is positive. He is in Gwagwalada hospital . He can't fly to Dubai. The president is in town. There are no international conferences. If he needs attention, he will have to use the state clinic. That expression 'we die here' is now so real. Once we become full of the virus, no one will allow any of us into their country. If we have no test kits, then we stay here and dig graves and bury our dead. If we have no ventilators, then we will use table fans. And die like that. We die here. Abi? If the Bishops and Imams refuse to listen, they will listen when the churches and mosques are filled with sorrow tears and coffins. If NASS members wont submit themselves to tests at the airports , the chambers will become filled with Corona virus and become distinguished viral laboratories. Nobody will be flown to London or Germany. Those of us abroad will stay abroad. Let everybody sit down somewhere. I hear our girls in Italy have hunkered down. There is a snake in the monkey's shadow. I wish the virus could hold hostages and demand ransoms. It could have helped us get our stolen wealth back. For the first time in this country, if a minister falls and breaks his head, he will have to remain and be treated at home. There is no test facility in the whole of the north and none in the east. Yet we have governors. Yet we have thousands of Teaching Hospitals. Look at Port Harcourt. Nothing! UNTH and UCH can't test for Coronavirus. Tufiakwa! But it's good. Better. If it's die, we all die here! together. Dr.Ugo Egbujo A friend sent the write up below to me. |
charlesemeka85:Chelsea is a top team they must have strength in depth. They know if they loose Tega them they have problems. This is very normal. |
charlesemeka85:It's not about defenders but style of play. Seria A is not as physically intensive and as fast as the EPL but it's more technical. That's my view. |
charlesemeka85:Football is about OPPORTUNITY. And IF is a very big word. If Frank Lampard had not been appointed manager, if Chelsea had not been banned from making transfers, maybe all the youngsters would still be in the academy or on loan. Like I said IF is a very big word. But Tega is currently second highest goal scorer in the EPL and has proven himself as a top striker and is now playing for England. So it's irrelevant speculation now. I should add to my list of potential clubs for Victor, Newcastle, Southampton and WestHam. |
charlesemeka85:I did not say he can't finish and did not say he is weak. I said he is not as technically astute comparative to Tega. Victor games is PACE with the ball in front or in space or behind defenders or give and go around the forward line. He is aggressive and but pure physicality no not like say Anichebe, Drogba, Demba Ba, Costa, Lukaku even Balotelli and Ibrahimovic. What's your bench mark for physicality ❓ This is not about HATE but objectivity. Many here are not. |
charlesemeka85:The value of a player is only known sometimes when he is not there. Tega missed one game and chelsea looked like a toothless bulldog. He knits the team together and makes them play as a cohesive unit. So he just doesn't bring the No. 9 position but a lot more. In all honesty do you think Victor can do what Tega does in Chelsea. |
Joebie:As a recruiter with a remit to get a striker. It will depend on the club, if you are talking top 6 clubs in the EPL then Tega will be first choice with the exclusion of Leicester. Tega fits the bill for Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal. A player that plays within the team and strengthens it. And is technically astute can excel in a team system. Victor strength is not technical ability but pace. His first touch is not great. In Leicester they play with a true number 9 and he may find it less difficult. Bournemouth, Brighton may be other options. Wolves is debatable. Understand he may look super fast in the French league but it may not be so easy in the EPL. The videos give an insight into players attributes character and particular style. Victor is not going to bully any EPL defender the way he does it in the French league. The question is can he adapt his game to meet they physicality of the EPL. He's better off going to the Bundesliga in my opinion or maybe Seria A. |
charlesemeka85:No he is not. Drogba was technically ability, skill, devastating finishing and strength but his game was not based on pace. Huge difference. Osimhen is aggressive that doesn't mean strength they are two different things. Victor is a taller version of Vardy but a work in progress. Take away the pace from Vardy and what is left. |
charlesemeka85:Lille play entirely to the strengths of Osimhen. Osimhen is not technically astute as Tega. If football was based on gra gra and aggression then there would be no need for technique. Neymar, Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo, are aggressive with technique. The dont just use pace bit football intelligence and incredible first touch football with pin point accuracy. Tega is fast he just doesn't base his entire game on pace he has so much more. That's why you don't see him use so often. In addition the ball is not always played ahead for him to run on too. Look how Tega links up the entire forward line as well as the midfield with one touch football bringing and knitting the team together to work with so much cohesion. That requires a lot more football intelligence and technical ability. The idea of one player as a focal point works for a lot of teams but it's not the approach of most top teams today. Tega has too much in his drawer technically to be caged easily. He makes defenders look foolish if they dive in. |
rusher14:WRONG He decided to obey the law that he had sworn to uphold. Albeit it belatedly 4 years later with regards to Dasuki. Essentially a law breaker being compelled by reason of possible international sanctions o immense pressure from Nigerians. He simply had no choice. |
jihday:Maybe so maybe not. Look at players Slimani, Depay, Maria, etc flopped in the EPL but big players in the French league. And there are a lot more |
ChrisKels:It has nothing to do with this little girl as you put it. She may have instigated the response but it is not about her more about ME and my Nigeria experience. |
Blueelf:They are both strikers but VERY DIFFERENT in thier style and character as well as individual attributes. Thier capacity to adapt and be versatile to different types and patterns of football will also very different. I don't use YouTube videos as a benchmark for players quality. However, it can give you a very good insight into a players character, style and inherent technical attributes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9I1nOp4fFE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOj-MH_OJLY So now what do you think❓ Osimhen thrives with the ball to run on too and behind the defenders. That's where he can use his pace. The team strategy at Lille is entirely geared up towards him. In a bigger team that will not be the case. You can make your own deductions on Tega. You have eyes. It's for this reason Victor has to be very very careful what team he chooses to go toafterwards Lille. A team that suits his attributes and that will play to enhance them. |
safarigirl:Lol lol lol ![]() Thank you most appreciated. Although I wish I was in Nigeria. Stuck in the traffic enjoying the orchestra of multiple horns and the exchanging of frustrated but understandable heated banter. The smoking aroma of goat meat and not bland Turkey. The unpredictable excitement, of not being sure if things will go according to plan. Something always goes wrong, it's wonderful it makes you feel ALIVE. England is cold and inhospitable, very predictable and everything generally goes to plan. Makes you feel BORED STIFF and that you don't really belong. Have a happy blessed Christmas filled with joy and fellowship with family and friends. Can't wait to be back it's been nearly six months Chei. |
andrewbaba44:Have an open mind, don't be too quick to jump to conclusions. I have watched both teams play full games at least 3/4 times. I am being objective. Let's look at matters with objective comparison. Strikers Midfielder Defenders Goalkeepers Now look at them from player transfer value, player pedigree , national team selection and or caps. Club Support base and then Finances. Then finally player Quality. Now with your eyes opened tell me sincerely that Padeborn is better than Stoke City. |
andrewbaba44:Many players who struggled in the EPL have found it far more comfortable and even excelled in the French league. You don't find many players who couldn't cut it in the French league one then came to excel in the EPL. It's a different league with different set of requirements. |
andrewbaba44:There are different types of success. How do you measure success and what makes a successful marriage for that matter. It's a very complicated issue, SUCCESS. |
elyte89:Mbappe has been injured and is on his way to full match fitness. But very surprisingly with all these handicaps has leapfrogged everyone to have now scored 11 goals spending near a third of the time on the field comparative to his competitors. That's pure Quality and outstanding. |
Joebie:Lol that's dramatically different from my opinion, maybe l have come across different types of women than you have. It's like someone was slating Black American women here very negatively. My experience is DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT. |
BascoVanVeli:Your past becomes irrelevant when you have left it behind. When you have not it becomes your present continous and indeed sometimes your future. Osimhen failed woefully at Wolfsburg after two seasons could not even get into a relegation fighting team. But do you know all that has been totally forgotten because he has completely left his past behind. And now in his second season of effective professional football some have called him the best young player in the world. Isaac Success has been wasteful, indisciplined, and not diligent. The things that plagued his career unfitness, being overweight, etc 4 seasons ago. He has not been able to overcome so essentially his past is his present continous. As a consequence we cannot Forget his past because he has not left it behind. Watford may have renewed his contract that's thier choice, we don't know the terms of the contract. You said l am master of changing the narrative don't know how you came to that conclusion. Nothing has changed in my narrative with regards to Isaac "WASTE MAN" Success. Why because he has not changed. Has he improved ❓ has he done anything to change his narrative. Finally, there are very few players who may carry Olosho's. But l don't know any that will end up shamelessly having a fight in a 5 star hotel in the public arena and refuse to pay them. |
ILLICITblood:I said Stoke a bottom team in the Championship is better than Paderborn. If you have the courage prove me wrong, if you like do a comparison with a balance score card assessment. Don't just say hogwash. It's not about stats as I have said before they are indicative taking in context they are not conclusive. Collins will never smell the Arsenal team in the first place. But from watching both players l can say Saka is technically superior, far better consistent touch and end product delivery. In addition Saka is faster. His defensive attributes better. IMO. |
Subzero047:That's not good. Hamstring injuries have different scales major and minor tears. If it's major require a lot of rehab and physio therapy input. The scar tissue can cause all kinds of problems and discomfort. Again not in negativity l am not suprised. He simply over worked the muscles like never before with little time for recovery. |
TheSuperNerd:Everything you have said is entirely opinionated not objective. I know that you get overly emotive when it comes to your preferred Nigerian born and homegrown players. But l expected some degree of objectivity beyond he is far better. You don't present any parameters or objective based assessment based deductions. just he is better. Slight digression depending on requirements of the club, if we are looking for U18 players for instance. We start from technical ability that will very much hinge on first touch amongst other attributes, pace, decision making, adaptability and versatility. I expect you should know these things. He scored one goal does not equate to he bossed the defence. So stop being emotively biased and say why Osimhen is FAR BETTER than Tega. And if you present matters with objective methodologies l may even be persuaded to agree with you. |
TheSuperNerd:Is not about English Tega is better. |
Tolulopefinest:You should know there are many delusional people here. |
daveP:Simply because Saka also plays left back and Collins is nowhere as good as him. So he effectively retires him. |
BascoVanVeli:Lol worst team in the league. First of all l have zero personal dislike for any player whatsoever. I have a dislike for bad behaviour and indiscipline. I don't make excuses for mediocrity because a player is from my village and or my country. What has the worst team in the league according to you got to do with the fitness of Success. Indeed it should mean a higher motivation to succeed. KC has been at Leicester for three seasons and they have not always been high fliers they have been close to relegation. What's your point. Success has been at Watford for four seasons they haven't always been at the bottom of the EPL during this period. That's making excuses for mediocrity and bad behaviour IMO. |
daveP:If this small boy enter SE then Collins is automatically retired. EOD, send off not even required |
daveP:Chei you wicked ooooh |
andrewbaba44:Na LIE Let's talk d true and let the devil be ashamed. The guy is simply not SE quality. |
tbaba1234:He carried three prostitutes at a go ( na wah !!!) was intoxicated and could not perform and then in his drunken state refused to pay. Caused a major disruptive scene in the hotel in a public place. Acting like a he was in Ibagua in Benin fighting with local olosho's. By now he should have upgraded his mentality he has been in Europe for 5/6 years suppose get sense by now. When l called him " WASTEMAN " so many were up in arms. I had got reports well before this about his behaviour lack of professionalism and indiscipline. I felt so dissapointed considering where he is coming from. his Fatheris not the governorof Edo state. He is coming out of very challenging circumstances he should be focused on football not on party and groove. There are many thousands of our footballers fasting, casting and binding and dreaming of this kind of opportunity. And he throws it in the bin. Even now we are bein told he has been having fitness issues. Maybe l am being too harsh, l should give him some slack, "because men d babes fine dye no be small" ![]()
