GabrielYulaw:Agreed without ❓ From my observations the top brass seem to be seeking the best deal particularly in the NA that puts the most money on thier pockets. As a consequence best value is fed to the dogs. How much does a brand new Toyota gun truck cost and how much does a used APC cost. Which would you rather be in when you are in a fire fight and which gives you the best initial protection. |
bidexiii:Some of these assumptions you make leave me bewildered sometimes. You have been here for a very long time so l just don't get it. You make claims of 5th columnists as being the primary reason for this ambush. I am sorry it just doesn't cut it for me. Here you are in the middle of a " kill zone" with two huge bright yellow and quite noisy dumpster trucks. Do you think that Boko don't have look outs? ❓ hidden observation posts and even some very basic drones. They know your coming and prepare a welcome. The terrain is off road and very hard, those big dumpster will have limited mobility including the heavy MRAP's probably operating at less than 5mph. How long does it take to set up an attack❓ Those huge dump yellow trucks will be easy targets for any Boko combatant trained or untrained. They are sitting yellow ducks. You can not really call it an ambush because nobody should be suprised. You go into Sambisa it's a fire fight you will not be welcomed with flowers. You already know you are going to get hit just a matter of when. In that regard you should be expectant and therefore prepared. Your response should be devastatingly offensive and not defensive, but that's if you've got the right weaponry. But we go into a firefight with soft skinned pick up trucks. And very heavy immobile for the terrain MRAP's with no run flat tyres. Boko simply blow out your tyres and stall your advance. My opinion is that NA have literally been working miracles with the limited equipment they have. |
Toju200:Agreed without reservation or question. However, l also need to do something too and l need to start that rolling asap. |
seankafor:Across history the people of honour and integrity who made a difference had one main attribute, SELFLESSNESS. In a society where the ME, MYSELF & I takes precedence over everything else. He stands out as shining example of TRUE PATRIOTISM. |
bidexiii:The first casualty of war is the TRUTH. However, when your own side is giving disinformation and creating the impression that the NA is indisciplined and lacking the will to fight. Add to that they are clearly poorly equipped and being deathly handicapped. Here is a general in the forward thrust of an attack. That's says to me that the politics of corruption has dug deep very deep into the NA. Unfortunately some of these guys in the top brass not all but some are essentially committing high treason. Looking at the equipment they have, its not fit for purpose, its a near suicide mission. Imagine an MRAP being used as the forward vehicle for a frontal assault. That's far from ideal. But to not even have run flat tyres is criminal negligence. Our guys are literally trying to dig trenches with table spoons. What's dissapointing is that everyone in the top brass knows this. But self interest has superceded national interest and best practice. As a consequence soldiers die unnecessarily. VERY SAD. |
seankafor:I disagree with you. This general is a man of honour and integrity, he standing with his soldiers and putting his life on the line. He watched soldiers who could easily be his sons ripped to pieces before his eyes. Do you think he has not sent messages and reports using the official channels. But what happened ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. He knew he was putting his career and personal safety at risk. He has sacrificed himself for the better of his soldiers he wasn't going to be a coward and desecrate the memory of his gallant men who have fallen. For me l salute General Adeniyi one of the few true patriots left a man of uncommon honour . |
Austine1212:I don't normally engage in frivolous sentiment based arguments on these very superficial subjects. But this is clear disinformation birthed from the negative. https://edition.cnn.com/videos/business/2020/03/02/nollywood-netflix-nigeria-film-industry.cnn/video/playlists/marketplace-africa-pre-roll/ https://blog.usejournal.com/could-netflix-have-paid-3-8million-for-genevieve-nnajis-lionheart-46c45296e2e7 https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/la-ca-nollywood-visits-hollywood-20190319-story.html https://amp-france24-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/amp.france24.com/en/20190707-nigerias-nollywood-film-industry-reels-foreign-investors?usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D&_js_v=0.1#aoh=15856688703332&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.france24.com%2Fen%2F20190707-nigerias-nollywood-film-industry-reels-foreign-investors Please update download and update your discourse with facts and substantive discussion. |
Joebie:Thank you. People are not taking this thing SERIOUSLY from my own deductions and information at my disposal. I started precautions and distancing as well as remote working in early February. I stopped going to London for anything in the same early February. People are dying like chickens in Italy and Spain. Nigeria capacity to test is very limited and so there are many who are infected who have not been tested. Imagine how many people that they have infected. Currently it's the political elite that are getting tested and too many are testing positive. Imagine how many of thier staff and other aids they have infected who will never be tested. But will unknowingly infect thier families and friends. One Chinese woman started the outbreak in Korea, she has been singularly held responsible for the infection of 1200 in the mega church she went too in Seoul. That's how it started. Because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not running rampant in the populace. |
seankafor:What does this prove. That's he is well, capable and full of zest for the job ❓ Every well meaning national leader is giving daily press briefings and not reading from a script. They are taking questions from a wide and varied selection of the media. Our response was to limit the media representation at state house that gives the opportunity for disinformation. There are now even more unanswered questions. |
I no lie cha !!! The Kwale babes can fine. |
andrewbaba44:Amazing WOW !!! I always found it very strange the distance between Abbi and Orogun is barely 2 miles, if I'm right. But two completely different languages. |
andrewbaba44:I know that area well wellu. I use to drive along that Abraka to Abbi Road and on to Orogun. But the road don scatter anyhow now. One of my Uncles collect wife from that area. |
Joebie:Oniovo l suprise oh. |
andrewbaba44:U be DETA u sure ❓ |
Humility017:This is an exercise in futility. You cannot shame the shameless. |
Humility017:Respect is earned and if you act foolishly you have also earned it too. So in this context what have these people earned, RESPECT or CONTEMPT my view is contempt. |
andrewbaba44:Where you here that one ❓ |
somehow:Actually the Bible doesn't sanction calling anybody a fool not just the elderly. |
andrewbaba44:Name just one not two. |
Blueelf:Many thanks I hail oh I am LOCKED DOWN in the UK and LOCKED OUT of Naija. I really don't know whether to cry or celebrate which one is best, l don't know. Na God hand l deh complete. |
somehow:I deh vex my hand moving faster than my thoughts. I really did mean $25k Sorry |
somehow:Limited exposure he sat two metres away from Kyari and l doubt if they engaged in any close contact 1 on 1. There is no lost love between them. There is huge difference between a man of 60 and a man of 80. Although not sure what your point is exactly. Osinbanjo has been openly and quite disgracefully sidelined to literally a school social prefect. |
somehow:You have branded high end manufactured in the West for about $25k upwards depending on spec. Or you can get basic units for $10K across the West. But if you want to be cost effective and you can get a 7 year parts and labour guarantee. Then you can get a Chinese units from $5k on average. I am not in medical procurement but l know this. This has gone from sheer ineptitude to criminal wilful intended premeditated negligence. People have died and more are going to die, it's murder. They really should be prosecuted all the way to the top that's if Corona doesn't delete them before they face prosecution.

Now that our scavenging vultures that we call political leaders. Are locked into Nigeria and nowhere to run for expensive medical treatment at government expense for themselves and thier families. Where will they go, l speak not from knowledge. Nonetheless, Gwagwalada Hospital is in the news as a treatment centre. I presumed it will have good quality infrastructure and the up to date bio technology and equipment. Not state of the art, this is Nigeria I am not delusional. I looked at the budget expenditure for the Medical facilities at Aso Rock, not substantiated. Now if these figures are true. See below. 2015 - N3.94billion 2016 - N3.87billion 2017 - N3.20bn (N331.m Capital Exp) 2018 - N1.03billion TOTAL - N12.04Billion How is it possible that this clinic doesn't have a respiratory ventilator These ventilators depending on spec and branding can be procured from Chinese manufacturers for $15k per unit wholesale. I would expect there to be in Abuja at least 1000 respiratory ventilators across both public and private sector medical facilities attached to thier ICU at least. Back to our flagship medical facility at Gwagwalada Hospital. Below excerpt from a report made by Sahara three years ago. But UATH is not your average Nigerian hospital. UATH is the gold standard of disguised incapacity. It is a hospital that has the distinction of being farthest from the merit of the name. You wouldn’t want an emergency to introduce you to the fraud that is ‘the hospital’. Because the experience could cost you your own life. UATH has the one of the highest mortality rates in the country. The intensive care unit (ICU) of UATH has a 50% mortality rate. That is to say, one in every two persons who enters the ICU is carried out dead. Or to put the statistic another way, one’s fate depends on the tossing of the coin. Patient death is so common in the UATH environment that incidences of recovery are largely celebrated as happy accidents. The facility produces such preponderance of deaths that it might well be officially mandated to feed as many of its patients as it possibly can to the morgue! http://saharareporters.com/2017/05/16/scam-called-university-abuja-teaching-hospital-emmanuel-ugwu This is shocking to me, could this really be true , l find it very very hard to believe and or comprehend. Please indulge me because for now there is no football to discuss. Furthermore, we need to be alive to watch it. So this is what our leaders have spent billions on a facility that increases your mortality rate exponentially almost 100%. To add insult to an open sore, we have just commandered one of the few ventilators in the hospital to Aso Rock. While the masses die. I am bewildered by the depth of callous wilful negligence of our leaders it's pure wickedness and evil. Please forgive me, BUT LET THEM REAP WHAT THEY HAVE SOWN |
do4luv14:He is doing well he has ADAPTED that's very key the fact that he had to take near three weeks to get fit. Says something about the expectations he wanted to live up too. He is probably going to sign, if he can score 8/9 goals before the season ends, he will be hot property. He also brings something different " very physical hold up play " which they don't have. He then has been able to fuse into the team very quickly. He is doing well, can he maintain this upward trajectory consistently that's the Big question ❓ |
do4luv14:No SHAKIN, Warri no deh carry Las. |
safarigirl:Not too long ago Abbu Kyari, sent a strongly worded letter to all federal legislators to submit themselves for testing if they have travelled abroad to countries with the virus. This is the same man who had been to several countries abroad. Yet did not deem it fit to submit himself for testing. Is this not the height of bigoted shameless hypocrisy. If there are so few ventilators in the hospitals in Abuja ( shocking) it seems we don't have up to 50 in the whole of Abuja. A ventilator costs about $25 depending on spec. So if they have commandered forcefully obviously one of the few ventilators from the government hospitals. What about the poor soul who was probably on it, has that person been left to die ![]() |
andrewbaba44:I went out today momentarily to buy some fruit juice ( pressed) not from concentrate. I do myself like Ninja, l had the car heater on full blast it was like say l deh inside molue for Lagos go slow. Any Corona enter my car Eéeeeeee go burn. I still spray disinfectant and use sanitiser and then I sprayed my gloves too. Observe 2 metres distance from anybody. And after all that I still pray, God is your best insurance. |
safarigirl:Political expediency and the desperate quest to hold on to power by the now obvious cabal says there will be a massive cover up. If Buhari is positive they will announce him as negative. No expense will be spared to get him all the equipment needed to keep him alive. Buhari is 80 or thereabouts with hidden underlying medical conditions, that means very weak personal immunity. The idea that Osinbanjo could take over is thier worst nightmare. They have nowhere to run. |
Subzero047:Yes it is. The preponderance of convoluted diction is not the inference to conclude identity. ![]() |
safarigirl:9ice 2 be back thanks. Natural selection or the selection of the generational wicked looters and depraved wicked old politicians. Corona is particularly unforgiven to those in thier 70's that's essentially the group have been sucking this country dry since independence if not them thier children. Breaking news for me Kyari the de facto president of Nigeria has tested positive for Corona. Buhari is negative for now. Now they will be forced to go to the ill equipped near redundant hospitals by comparison that have been left to rot in ineptitude for decades. We have lock down let's see where they will fly too. Buhari will have to be tested in the coming days he is certainly not in the clear. |
[quote author=AndSunGorilla post=87726474][quote]I am doing good, going around when l do go put like a Ninja with my face covered up. Taking no chances and trusting God. |
