No one is quoting you out of context. You are just not understanding my post. My post speak of abundance at the back and not who will displace who. I am saying in further explicit terms that even an Omeruo now is not certain of a starting berth due the competition in the CB role thus having any other CB come in now shouldn't be our topmost priority coz even if they come, they will be fringes for a while. That is why I said they will bide their time even if they come in.
Your post is anchored on the assumption that the current CB'S are the best we have.

Nobody is on the fringes there must be healthy competition for positions that makes the team strong.

Let the best players play. How do you know that the current CB'S can not be displaced by other CB's given opportunity to play.

Depth is good. No sensible fan don't want quality depth. But at CB, we can only play two at a time based on our most used formation of 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. In a 3-5-2, we can always shuffle also.

We are quite stoked at CB. Any player coming will have to bide his time.
The pertinent question is can we improve on what we have.

Well said. People may forget we have enough options at CB.

- Kenneth Omeruo
- Semi Ajayi
- William T. Ekong
- Chidozie Awaziem (who is also an option at RB).
Even Leon Balogun is left out these days due to his Brighton situation. We can now afford to leave him out as we have quality options.

Na Back-up striker we want to settle first. Then an attacking midfielder and others to follow. Don't forget we also seek another Left back.
All teams seek to improve and nobody has a permanent position.

You do that by inviting and selecting players after trying them out.

Nobody is a back up player, every player invited is there to contest for a position and the best players selected at any one time for the job at hand.

aside from what we have in the team already he is the best option for now, even the german boys don't see regular playing time anymore. hertha berlin highly rated torunarigha have been a perennial bench warmer since the start of the season

uduokhai started some games for relegation threatened augsburg after joining them on loan but have been dropped to the bench in recent games

akpoguma also is not a steady figure in hoffeheim's starting 11

for now iorfa jnr and adarabioyo are the best options outside of the team
I see Ovie and Dominic in the green and white soon and very soon. With Eze to follow later on.

You asked a question and i responded to it.

Iorfa is a decent player but at the moment, we have some options.
Just in case you forgot the context of this particular discourse.

I put a screen shot of Dominic Iorfa accolade by the club as overwhelmingly voted by 68% of fans as the player the month.

I said in tongue and cheek, is it when Arsenal signs him that the NFF will remember him.

You went on to say it's not particularly outstanding. Saying that Ajayi had won players of the month in the Championship. Only to discover you were talking about last season. That's actually irrelevant in the context of hear and now.

What are the options❓ Thats diversionary from the subject.

Actually Dominic Iorfa is not just decent but outstanding in the Championship. We have other options implies or at least it's indicative of saying he's not good enough. Thankfully Rohr has a totally and dramatically different view than yours

You also claimed he is not on the radar of Arsenal. I asked you how do you know that.huh

In effect you have not answered any question particularly from the view you have generated.

We are talking about the HERE and NOW the current season we were taking about Ajayi in WBA and your talking of Rotherham.

I am truly lost with this from you.

What are you talking about with regards to Arsenal go back to my post. My tongue and cheek reference is about Dominic Iorfa going to Arsenal.

Ajayi was sold to Arsenal from Charlton but never played one game for both clubs. Before Cardiff bought him don't think he played a single game for Cardiff.

I'm truly lost l am sorry what's your point.❓

I do not think Iorfa is on the radar of Arsenal. It would have been more impressive if it was the championship player of the month not just his clubside.

Semi Ajayi has won the championship player of the month and he is not on Arsenal's radar. The whole championship not just a modest clubside.
Been waiting for you to tell me when Semi Ajayi won Championship player of the month.

So far it has been.

Daniel Johnson Preston NE August 2019
Chey Dunkley Wigan Ath. September 2019
Aleksandr Mitrovic Fulham Ath. October 2019
November announcements will soon be made in December.

So when exactly did Seyi Ajayi win Championship player of the month❓ I simply have not come across it. It may be it's an oversight on my part.

I say this because you are usually very objective and factual led.

With regards to Arsenal how do you know Arsenal are not in discussions and or any other EPL club for that matterhuh

And you will or rather may probably see him in the SE in March which i don't think will be surprising, with his change of allegiance completed.

You should know he is one of the most outstanding CB defenders in the Championship one thing he is undoubtedly the fastest. That's a huge attribute for the EPL.

January is coming shall we say, let's see.

It's getting very interesting.

Miss Tammy? Most people here just want Osimhen to have better stats than Tammy and it's normal. We would be talking about missing that guy only if we didn't have Osimhen. Didn't you read when someone said he wasn't excited about Dessers as he feels the presence of Osimhen would limit him. I felt same way too.
What's particularly normal about thathuh

I really don't get it, there is division among the fans in the house and unnecessary contention.

That spills out in prejudice and open dislike against some players. Very emotive based not objective.

Then we have the issue of PERCEPTION people are mostly a product of thier environment. Some people are a product of multiple environments and some a singular environment.

I think we have different cultural dynamics at play here that are often misconstrued and perceived from different people in completely different ways.

There has been never ending abuse going Tega Abrahams way under the allegation that he Insulted and denigrated Nigeria. That's a matter of perception.

What's considered rude and disrespectful by some here will be considered as just plain speaking in other societies.

You cannot know what Haaland has to do with anything, because your brain is incapable of processing anything that is not related to England and EPL.

You have said your piece, I cannot waste arguments with someone who stinks of prejudice and emotive bias.
Can you state what relevance is Haaland to the discourse of Dessers and the refusal of Belguim to invite him into the Belguim national team.

THATS the context of the discourse.

The other appendage to that is Dessers open commitment and declaration to play for Nigeria.

In these two inter related topics of what relevance is Haaland in the discourse.

When using the words emotive and prejudice you should use them correctly.

The subject is not emotive but you clearly are like most things.

He has now gone to where he can have it very easy, the retirement league.

Same way you don't rate many players until they start blowing hot.

Having followed football for quite sometime I know that there's evolution in the professional trajectory of players.

Almost all the big stars start with small clubs and work their way up. Sometimes they stagnate just as Henry did at Juve and blew up in the EPL. Mo Salah had a round about journey to his present status. The dynamics is just too fine for one to reach conclusions so easily.

As a fan what I look for is the quality. If a player combines good quality with discipline and dedication to his craft, it's just a matter of time. Once the quality is there never dismiss a player, don't snuck up your nose and gloat and laugh hoo-ha. Just watch.
Your proposition is lopsided and elementary observation.

Football is like a big highway some coming up and some going down.

Football is about the HERE and NOW today's flop cam be tomorrow star and today's star can be tomorrow flop.

The unspoken and underlying point is that once you do not fancy a player, you will go to heaven and hell to look for your so called 'objective stats' to prove that the player is no good or not good enough.

In doing this you use different metrics: if such a player is playing for a lower league, you will automatically tar him black

When it's pointed out to you that though this player is in a Lower league, he's the most outstanding (which is one of your criteria) you'd say that league is low compared to the Bundesliga, EPL and La Liga.

If such a player let's say Iheanacho is invited (then oo) and Ighalo or Martins (players you like) don't get invited you'd query it. When it's pointed out to you that Iheanacho is scoring goals in the EPL, you'd say but Ighalo has proven himself in the EPL too. When you are shown that by your own formula, it is the here and now that matters, you'd still wriggle your way out. Smart Warri man abi

If the player performs in La Liga or EPL or Bundesliga you will still find something to discredit him.

It's a lost cause arguing with you but many don't know it that's why they still engage you. Me never!
You just want to argue.

What's the main context the Belguim national team .

Look at the players that the Belguim national team can call upon. Apart from Ndidi and that's not an absolute who in the Nigerian team can walk into the Belguim team.

So stop muddling up the discourse with irrelevance. Don't twist the issues and mix them them up.

If you are confused l am not.

Dessers is absolutely outstanding in his league and club but not outstanding enough for the Belguim team.

100% without doubt Dessers should be invited to the SE he may even displace Victor and become numero one.
