Christianity EtcRe: Homosexuality, Lesbianism, All Other Sexual Pervasion Is Not Just A Sin But... by komekn(m): 9:09pm On Oct 13, 2019
Olivegreen:
You're missing the point!!!
Being gay is not just about gay sex just as love is not just about sex.
You just quote the Bible from beginning to end but you can't interprete it with wisdom.
I don't care how you have sex with your wife or husband ( by the way are you male or female?) To me, as long as you both love each other, you both can use whatever positions or methods to give yourselves pleasure during sex.

Some people just like acting blind and intentionally ignore the main point of certain issues. Sex is not the main point of the lgbtq+ community. The main point is that love is love regardless of one's gender. We fall in love with other people's souls and not their body.
My body was given to me so it should not define me but my soul is who I am therefore, it defines me.
If my soul loves the soul of another female then how is that wrong?
I love her personality and not just her body.

Please let us stop this unreasonable spread of hate and intolerance.

Love is love.
Disagreement is not HATE and establishing wrong doing is not INTOLERANCE.

What is INTOLERANCE and HATE is when a person objectively explains his contrary view and people like you call it phobia and therefore HOMO-PHOBIA.

Some people love to kill , some people love to practice paedophilia that is no JUSTIFICATION.

Love as a phenomenon in the context you use it, is about sensual infatuation and unbridled unrestrained unnatural dysfunctional desire.

The infallible word of God is not about understanding but OBEDIENCE. That's why it is said the sin of disobedience is like Witchcraft, A
again it is better to obey than sacrifice.

Considering the Bold to put it simply, God did not make Adam and Steve but Adam and Eve. The bible is intrinsically absolutely clear that this not just sin but an ABOMINATION before God.

Moving from the Christian perspective cause you simply cannot be one, with this adopted lifestyle.

Physiological and biological human body purposes are determined by function. When the intended purpose is misused and or not used for its function it becomes DYSFUNCTIONALISM. If a function becomes dysfunctional essentially it's defective and wrong.

The entire projection of homosexuality is in its entirety anchored on sex. But dysfunctional deviant and therefore DEPRAVED sexual behaviour. It is not love but obsessive infatuation.

Across the predominantly western world there are these homosexual pride celebration now added with the confused confusion of Transgender and the myriad of other designations. All of these celebration are about the open wanton depraved sexual deviant practices promoted as normalcy in a frenzied jamboree carnival. So don't be naive or deceptive to say it has nothing to do with sex. It's all about DEPRAVED SEX.

Unfortunately it has taken a political dimension and equality in the context of race put to one side. But the adopted homosexuality is given the predominant position in the equality discourse to the detriment of race and discrimination. Hence the demise of black equality discourse to the back of the agenda.

Homosexuality is MENTAL ILLNESS not normal behaviour to put it simply it's SICKNESS. This us not an opinion but an empirical proven position established for over a thousand years. But in the context of medical research over 200 years.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) changed its position on homosexuality declassifying it as no longer a mental illness or sickness in 1973. But it was not based on empirecal new research but political pressure to change its classification.

The empirical deduction remains that thus deviant behaviour by all units of measurement is MENTAL ILLNESS. The only unit of measurement that gives it credence is the one of public perception and acceptance which is reflection of where you are.

In Russia it's Deviant behaviour in most of the West its normal behaviour. We have gone from tolerance, to acceptance and now PROMOTION it's being taught in schools as normal family life in the West.

There is now extreme intolerance to anything that contends with the view that homosexuality is not normal. If you say anything to the contrary you will be persecuted and possibly prosecuted. Footballers have put Biblical quotations on thier socail media handles and faced bans and severe fines. So free speech has been curtailed yet it's modern western democracy.

Edmund Burke in a quote said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

So if you like keep quite and don't Condemn the abominable as silence is often assumed to be consent.

I agree with all your line up apart from ebuehi

Even if ebuehi is fit I won’t start him ahead of a Collins ,once he starts playing for benfica then maybe ,how will I bench a bundesliga player for someone who is yet to kick the ball for benfica first team ,impossible

Aina is my first choice but he is out then Collins before anyone else,Collins is even rohr first choice ,maybe if ebuehi start playing first team I might be convinced,I no dey favor player because say na oyinbo or because say e play some good friendlies in the past

Don’t be suprise seeing a Moses Simon starting ahead of Dennis ,I don’t think Dennis is a better winger than Simon self
Collins will get decimated by the Brazilians.

He is one of the weak links, l prefer a far more technically gifted, mobile and faster Ebuehi than Collins a very average player.

Mr Komekn, I have a brother into football seeking for trial in Europe. He's 16. Can you help him with any trial? Travel cost and accommodation would adequately be taken care of from here.
It's not so simplistic.

First of all he has to be here in the UK first that requires visa and on what basis. Getting a trial in the UK is not the best approach. There are other European countries that access is not so problematic.

Finally, to get in and overcome all the multiple hurdles he has to be outstanding and exceptional.

Now if monetary issues are not in contention as you have stated.

If you truly believe he is Outstanding enrol him in a school in the NORTHWEST of England. And he can join a local team after two games everybody will know of him.

I know of one particular boy the first day he played in a local team he was immediately offered trails with the four biggest teamsin the north west. He is currently contracted with a top EPL club and sponsored by a major sports manufacturer. All this after just one game for a local team.

On the day he was like Neymar scoring 5 goals and dribbling the whole team including the goalkeeper.

Do we have an attacking midfielder ?

The iwobi i know is better than him

If he can play from the flanks he is not better than what we have there

EOD
Football is not that simplistic.

What attributes does Iwobi have that are clearly better❓ I would look at things from the perspective of END PRODUCT.

1. Who has the best shooting capability including both feet and goal probability❓
2. Who has better and most effective passing range❓how well can he find his forward players❓
3. Who has the better pace and stamina❓
4. Dribbling and skill are only relevant when they affect the game, who is better ❓

If you were to put Iwobi in QPR would he now be the best Midfielder in championship?? Or put Eze in Everton who would be more effective. ❓ ❓ ❓

Tha last vice versa question is open to never ending debate.

But if you are honest it's not so clear cut who is the better player.

Maybe the question should be who do we think will be more effective depending on the game and team structure and opponents❓

I had a footballer friend who would hire a private jet to go shopping from Manchester in Milan for the day, with his babe.

I have some friends who take last flight Friday night from Lagos arrive London to watch Arsenal and how back that evening to Lagos after the match.

My barber is often flown across the UK to cut the hair of multiple black footballers, who demand his services.

I personally don't see the sense in flying to Turkey from France just to cut your hair. But then I'm not 21 and dont earn £30k a week mostly tax free.

it is painful to have a player who will begin to debilitate when he is still in late 20s
remember Amokachi retired @ age 27 when he is supposed to still be playing.

we just need home groomed players with true declared age
What we need is a communications network and engagement framework and strategy. That way we will have relationships with players where ever they are.

We need to be transparent and show that the only consideration is MERIT.

Across Europe but especially England there are thousands of Nigerian origin players in clubs at all levels from age 5 to 23 and some even playing first team football.

Admittedly the boys in Europe have an advantage of better infrastructure and training facilities as well as professionalism and very well funded.

But that's a reality there is going to be brain drain and sports drain because people want greener pastures. That's the current state of the nation.

The endemic corruption affect every sector in Nigeria, even the Church is not without fault.

Most of our home groomed have one objective to go abroad. The reality is that youth national team football is the spring board for that dream. For thier agents, the NFF officials and the players.

Abraham, Tomori: Reaping where we did not sow? BACK PAGE COLUMN
Published 9 hours ago on October 9, 2019
By Bola Bolawole 

huge tragedy befell Nigerian soccer lovers last week when Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, two promising Chelsea footballers, pledged their allegiance to England instead of Nigeria. It did not come as a surprise, though, because the youngsters had hesitated to accept offers to play for Nigeria and had patiently waited to see if England would come for them. With their present form for Chelsea, they had been hopeful that would be the case. Now they have been called up to the Three Lions’ senior team, they have happily obliged, ditching the Super Eagles in the process. Our only claim to the boys is that their parent(s) were Nigerians; nothing more! England, on the other hand, has a robust claim, the boys having been born/lived virtually their life abroad as well as having played for England at youth levels. They had also been products of the youth academy of foreign lands, something that is absent here, despite that we have heard of the importance of youth academies to the growth of football worldwide and despite that we, too, have parroted the need to toe a similarly line. As is characteristic of us not only in sports but also in other spheres of life, we seldom walk the talk.

Now we are left to whine and bellyache after suffering a disappointment only the most optimistic had failed to see coming our way. Now we comfort ourselves with such statements as “No one is greater than Nigeria”; “We cannot beg anyone to play for Nigeria”; “Nigeria has better players…” Sentiments! And I laugh! Had the boys pledged their loyalty to Nigeria, we would have been grinning from ear to ear. Had that happened, I would not have been surprised if any of Lai Mohammed, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu had issued a press statement congratulating the boys and soccer-loving Nigerians and claiming it as one of the “achievements” of APC/Buhari! Let’s stop bad-mouthing the boys; instead, we should wish them well in the choice they have made – and learn useful lessons to stem the tide of our sportspeople ditching us for other lands. It has happened again and again.

Remember sprinter Obikwelu? He ditched us for Spain and won an Olympic silver medal competing for his adopted country. The list is endless. Every now and then the media throws up new names of Nigerians switching nationality in sports. Why? Better facilities elsewhere to enhance their development. So, athletes that would have struggled here suddenly take advantage of such world-class facilities to horn their talents and skills and become world beaters. Better incentives from their adopted countries, unlike here where they beg and beg to no avail for peanuts to enhance mediocre preparations for events. Better technical know-how and expertise from coaching staff, which makes a world of difference as technology has taken over from raw talents in today’s world of sports. Better professionalism and commitment to duty by coaching staff, unlike here where everything is always reduced to politics and sentiments. Better commitment to training schedule unlike here where fire-brigade approach is the order of the day.

So, it is not that athletes elsewhere are better than ours but for the advantages stated above, which they enjoy abroad but which their counterparts who pledge their future to Nigeria lack. It is instructive that most of the athletes doing this country proud at the moment are foreign-based, be they footballers or athletes. Gone were the days when we produced world-class home-based sportsmen and women. Now, we struggle over those made ready by foreign systems. We failed to meet even our own expectations at the just-concluded World Athletics meet at Doha for reasons itemised above. Administrative lapses and incompetence; and disunity among the rank-and-file also reared their ugly heads at Doha, reducing the fabled giant of Africa to a minnow while Kenya, as always, made the continent proud, coming second behind almighty USA.

Abraham and Tomori are just two out of millions of young Nigerians who, any day, will choose other countries ahead of Nigeria. Even adults are voting with their feet every day in search of greener pastures! According to latest statistics, three million Nigerians were added to the circle of the desperately poor within the last six months, further cementing our pole position as the poverty capital of the world. So, it is unimaginable to expect that those who stand at an advantage, being citizens of “better” countries, so to say, would choose Nigeria over and above such countries. Let’s work to make our own country a good place and not a shithole, as President Donald Trump has described it. A lot of happenings in the country, especially Executive lawlessness and blood-letting run riot, give us bad image. Our leaders do not inspire confidence. And we often want to reap where we had not sown. Rather than run after ready-made stars, let us take interest in these boys – and girls – while they are still fledgling. Be a part of their success story and not just an opportunist. Rather than cry over spilled milk, there are many more Abraham and Tomori out there waiting for our proactive action.

Apart from the fact that we didn’t sow into the lads, how can we expect them to go against their gaffe, Frank Lampard, who, himself, had been skipper of the English team? Naturally, Lampard would want the lads to play for England and strengthen the team. It also makes his Chelsea management duties easier for him. Many a times, footballers go to represent their country and come back injured and the burden becomes that of their foreign team and its management. Our athletes have complained ad nauseam of being left to the elements when they most expected the country and our sports administrators to rally round them. It would have been suicidal for the boys to go against the “advice” of their gaffe. For one, after God, the coach had been instrumental to their meteoric rise in the pecking order at Chelsea and from what we have seen about players in the big leagues, coaches make or mar. They make or ruin the career of players. Many a good player had gone against the coach’s advice only to find themselves shoved aside – and that had been it!
So, head or tail, it made sense for the lads to listen to their coach. It makes sense for them to pick English over Nigeria. For the sake of their career at club and country level, I dare to say that they have made the right choice – at least, as far as human wisdom can carry us. The other side of the coin, however, is that more often than not, such players usually are not more than fringe players for their adopted countries. Conversely, those who choose their home country may have more playing time, especially in a Nigerian team that relies on big names and foreign talents than a foreign team where racism and knack for form are still potent factors. Mitchel Obi was almost a tourist at the last African Cup of Nations! Even if England drops our lads after just one game, it has effectively denied us their use forever! Weakening a likely opposition is also part of the game!

Two more points must, however, be made. One: That the boys could make more money playing for England than playing for Nigeria. Who can easily discountenance the primacy of money in human affairs! Two: Team mates sabotaging the best efforts of high-riding colleagues in the Nigerian team had been rife in the past. Hear one of such foreign stars: “It was most unfortunate because I noticed that most of the players, when they asked me to go to the right, I will go there but the ball will go to the left and if they asked me to go to the left, the ball will go to the right.” Which true professional will hear this and still want to play in such a national team? Wasn’t that how Rashidi Yekini was reportedly made a pariah by his team mates after he was said to have “selfishly” celebrated his – and Nigeria’s – first World Cup goal at USA ’94?
More professionalism in our sports will encourage more of our foreign talents to vote Nigeria.
The truth is bitter but it's still the TRUTH

Many things can have financially benefits that does not make them BENEFICIAL to societal development.

I am sure that the % €€££$$ made from Yahoo benefits the economy to quote a high degree. Possibly Yahoo generates in Nigeria a billion $$ annually.

Many Nigerian youths are gainfully employed in this multi dimensional business of fraud. It create employment for many families and individuals. The multiplier effect of economic activity from Yahoo is astronomical. Should we then extol this conduct.

You mentioned 7billion naira generated. Imagine how many people religiously watch this changing thier value system and aspiration in the process. We are advocating and promoting consciously and unconsciously that which should be condemned to become commended.

You don't watch it is a personal choice.

That you don't watch it, means that you are certainly in no position, to talk about it, because you barely have knowledge of what ot is about. Stick to what you have proper knowledge of, or speak with a disclaimer next time. Don't make blatant accusations as if you have prior knowledge

I told you how the show has empowered people, and you limited it to making money. You think empowerment is all about money? Alex did not even win the show, but she had job opportunities at the end of the show. Do you know how many people have gained from her own opportunities? We are watching people like Ebuka and Gideon Okeke on our screens today, both of them, were first introduced to us on the show. The first winner, Katung, is an executive under Multichoice today.

You are blissfully unaware, and you have refused to make your deductions, but choose to hold on to your ignorant belief that the show is "morally bankrupt"....You don't sound like an educated person at all, when you make such statements.

Big Brother has nothing to do with the rot in Nigeria. Big Brother is not the cause of the blatant Bribery and Corruption in the country, it is not the reason for the leaders constantly siphoning funds, in fact, most people that hate the show, are part of the core reasons the country is rotten.

It is a normal thing for the most rotten of Nigerians, to also be highly sanctimonious as well, so, I am not surprised by the spread of ignorance

Like I said, if you don't know about something, it is best you do your research, or post a disclaimer, lest you do a disservice for your education
Many people have used debased reality shows to create a career in media for themselves.

Notoriety sells and is a great marketing tool. That doesn't mean it's a positive contribution to societal development.

Specifically big brother is an outcome delivery of the multifaceted socio-economic degeneration of our values and expectations.

Go naked, have sex on TV and talk rubbish and you will.be celebrated and you will have career progression. That's not commendation but condemnation of how low we have sunk in our values.

But if you think it's an upstanding contributive component to our societal development. I leave you to your opinion even it's in the majority. The majority is often wrong.

Been there, done that. Sad.
Most of the talents around my generation never realised their potentials in sports.

Lots of them in East London either working as stewards at some of the stadiums under ‘low profile’. cool

We used to jog and train at West Ham park...not far from Upton Park. We got spotted. Got invited, but none of us had valid documents cheesy We never went back...one of us dared...with fake papers obtained from Woolwich arsenal. He got arrested and was deported.

We were all between 20-24 years then. By the time the immigration documents were sorted, none of us was fit.
OPPORTUNITY is everything without it no matter how good you are NUTTIN 4U sadly.

Opportunity will be linked to talent but overwhelmingly and intrinsically linked to what leverage your network can muster.

That network can be your agent, your friends and simply who you know.

There is a well known football pundit former Arsenal defender and England international. His son IMO was on the scale of ability about number 14/15 in the U18 at Reading fc very far from impressive. This was when Uche Ikpeazu was the highest goal scorer in the U18 league.

He was one of the first two to get a professional contract at Reading FC.

Leave Big Brother out of the discussion please

In Britain, they celebrate shows like Love Island, and nobody has said it is part of Britain's problem, but mob mentality will not allow you people leave Big Brother alone.

Has the show not empowered Nigerian youths that would have otherwise been left to rot? Is it not Big Brother money that someone like Miracle used to travel to US to further his dreams of flying an airplane? Is it not Big Brother that gave Alex a platform upon which she gained fame, so much she was able to travel to the New York Film Academy and learn acting and directing?

Please, anything you have scarce information on, it is advisable to not comment on it. There is NOTHING wrong with celebrating a reality show that has empowered hundreds of Nigerian youths, from the participants to even the crew, something the FG cannot do.
I don't watch big brother in the UK l find the show DEBASED and MORALLY BANKRUPT. l don't watch such superficial nonsense.

Do you really believe that this show has empowered Nigerian youthhuh

Not everything that has a monetary benefit empowers or develops positively. It celebrates stupidity and superficial nonsense, it replaces positive diligent led aspiration with sheer stupidity.

It celebrates what should not be celebrated.

That's why l never watch it.

Football isn’t dead in Nigeria. There are talents and lots of them around. The environment and its politics are making it difficult to develop these kids.

I grew up in Enugu, played and enjoyed football. We had primary school football competitions. There were under 13 tournaments for secondary school junior boys or for the old schools here, under 5ft! They used some sort of measuring stick to determine who is eligible in such tournament.

We had the fields to play and develop our skills. There were Phoenix playground around the GRA, polo park recreation ground, Ngwo Park, police depot at uwani, mobile police barrack along Agbani road by Kenneth road etc. Boys had unlimited access to these venues...

Few years ago, former governor Chime closed polo park which gave us River Lane boys (Chinedu ogbuke, Solomon Okoronkwo) JJ Okocha played here as a kid. Today polo park has been replaced with Shop rite, Phoenix ground with its multiple playing fields have been littered with buildings.

We played football out of passion, to play at UNEC stadium at the finals of either the primary sch., junior sec sch or senior sec sch football competitions was the dream of most kids. It was similar to huge festivals.

Old Enugu metropolis under Anambra State has many football clubs: Rangers, Vasco, Udoji United, Asesa Warriors, CCB which JJ started from, Orient boys etc.

The schools churned our boys with amazing talents. CIC, Nike boys, Union, St Patrick’s emene, Maryland Boys etc. Most of the football fields of old have been ‘vandalised’.

Lots of boys got frustrated with structure and management of football, some frustrated by the corrupt system that favour not the poor kids.

Lots of them left for Cyprus, Malta etc where their talents died.
Some came to the uk hoping to ‘blow’ unaware of immigration laws, lots of them ended up in the security industry after years and years of trying to sort their immigration issues. I saw lots of them working in ASDA and Royal Mail.

Politics is killing football development in Nigeria. Few talents in the league have no patience. Everybody want to leave and play in Europe.

It’s not the lack or talent or passion, it’s the environment. The academies have been turned to slave markets. Greed and corruption is ruining football in Nigeria.
I was in Antwerp and l met so many football players from Nigeria deceived by greedy agents brought to Europe. Things did not work out.

And they are now washing cars and in abject poverty on the streets of Antwerp. It's very sad.

Hmmm,wetin we go do.

Nigeria league is dead and to revive it would take a miracle which is not even feasible for now based on what i saw of Nigeria leagues in the 80s,90s and part of early 2000s.

I see how humility 017 has been murmurings about NPFL,coaches and how he was so frustrated about football set up in Nigeria leagues but what is certain we cannot run away from reality facing us.Thanks to these FBs boys coming up and serving as rescuers.

Those of us,may be icon4s,goldfish80,omonbala,Kokmne, thegoodjoe, forgiveness etc who had the opportunities of following Nigeria football development since 80s can say much about how it went wronged.

Nigeria football was beauty to watch in the 80s with high class of coaches, namely Father Tiko,Otto Gloria,Alabi Aissien of Bendel Insurance, James Peter,Chris Udemezie,Paul Hamilton,Willy Bazuaye,Jossy Lad of Leventis utd fame,Dominguez an Argentine who coached Rancher bees in the 80s,Joe Erico,Tunde Disu,Kadiri Ikhana,Baraje,Kafaru Alab,Kelechi Emereole,Alphonsus Dike etc

These are the coaches that shaped Nigeria football they are well schooled when it comes to football with different refresher coaching courses in abroad and far better than the coaches we have now managing our players.

Also good football administrators who are ready to sacrifice for the growth of the beautiful game are on ground, administrators like Anthony Ikhazobo,Emeka Omeruo,Nathaniel Idowu the father of Philip Idowu a british runner,Isaac Akioye,Patrick Okpomo,Sylvester Akibwumi,SB Williams,Greek born John Mastroudus etc.

Then it was a joy watching Nigeria league with player like Emma Okala,Segin Odegbami who i still rated as the best winger to ever come out of Africa,Muda Lawal who Ndidi Wilfred still has his record to beat, this league produced best of the best wigers like Adokiye Aimiesemeka, Felix Owolabi,Humphrey Edobor,Folorunsho Okenla,James Etokebe,Friday Elaho, Emma Amuneke,Chris ohenhen, Victor Ikpeba, these left wingers that our talented Chuckwueze would find it difficult to bench but they are products of the now dead leagues.

Oh anytime i remembered Segun Odegbami,Benji Nzeakor,Tarila Okoronwata,Wole Odegbami,Augustine Igbinabaro,Ndubuisi Okosieme,Emma Okocha,Uwem Ekarika,Jide Oguntuase,Tijani Babaginda,Finidi George etc i laughed at people rating Simeon Moses,Samuel Kalu,Oyekwuru,Olayinka and co,these guys cannot lace the boots of these old wingers. And these guys are product of the same league.

I watched one of eagles old tapes against Mexico and i saw how good was home based Ajibade Babalade in that match.Godwin Okpara was delighted to watch,a CB with beautiful skills.Chidi Nwanu was so strong as CB despite being a very average in height,Ben Iroha was a product of this league playing for eagles,Finidi entered eagles starting eleven as home based,Thompson Oliha the samething,Moses Npakor also as home based player.

I remembered Peter Rufai,Patrick Ikeji,Best Ogedegbe,Willy Agbonibare,Raymond Best,William Opara,Lateef Yusuf who still has the record of highest clean sheets in Nigeria. These keepers are products of Nigeria league, not to talk of Enyeama,Ejide,Aiyenugba,Etafia or era of Biodun Baruwa,Emma Babayaro,Dosu Joseph,Bode Babbignton,Leye Akinde,Victor Gbenebichie but now no keeper good enough for eagles, we need to resort to a div 3 keeper in Okoye Maduka, wahala dey,the league is dead.

I just don't know what we can do to revive Nigeria football,i mean NPFL.In the 80s,90s we have university students playing in the same leagues, player like Emma Olisadebe,Peter Ayilobi,Gabriel Jigbale,Edith Agoye,Adeolu Adekola,Andrew Uwe,Impowosa Omoregie,Niyi Ogunlana,Seyi Olofinjana,Nosa Osadolor,Yemi Akinyanju, etc.

Humidity baba,i know your grievances but what can we do to solve this issue still remained a mirage.

CC:Icon4s,Michael2,goldfish80,forgiveness, Taliban,tbaba,Kokmne.
There was a time when honour and integrity were revered more than any type of money.

When the headmasters and principals of schools were considered upstanding members of society and worthy of emulation.

Honour above money was the first thing. Then when you would see a married women from 2 miles away by comportment and mannerisms you would know and accord her the honour and respect due. Now it's a different matter.

There was a time we CELEBRATED, righteousness, integrity, honour.

A time when men were men and not boys and considered the responsibility of what it means to be a man.

Friends we as a nation have COMPLETELY REGRESSED I was at UNN my Father was an academic thier and although there were infrastructureal deficiencies across the nation. Corruption was not rife. Honour above all else still reigned.

If you had stolen money by I'll gotten means you would not be able to raise your head in the community of men.

Today we have celebrities we celebrate the DEBASEMENT, DEPRAVED IMMORALITY and ENTHRONE CORRUPTION. Instead of celebrating people who been selfless in the contribution to community well being.

We now celebrate big brother, yahoo plus, Agbero( garage chairman) , etc, etc.

Our entire value system is warped and our immorality has gone so high it's beyond description.

Unless the people change there will be no change.

I have tried in my own way to make a change but l find people don't want a change. They just want change in thier pockets and that's what they get a little pittance of change to sell thier votes.

It is already happening

Even right now with the players switching, we can present almost a first 11 in which most are foreign born/dual citizens.

Maduka
Ebuehi, Ekong Semi Aina

Ndidi, Aribo, Iwobi

Akpom Maja Lookman
You have only scratched the surface.

How many Nigerian players ex and present have dual citizenship it's over 75%. Irrespective of whether they were born in Nigeria or not.

We need to fix Nigeria. Performance in every sector is poor...from sports to health to education, etc. Even though we have to start with temporary solutions, we need to realize that no sector will develop independently of others and only "permanent" solutions will bring lasting change.

Basic things like automatic birth capture, security at our stadia, stability in the NFF and Ministry of Sports, etc. will improve our football and attract funding from private sources (ticket sales, jersey sales, etc). After we sort that out we can begin to televise matches, look for sponsors, etc. With time enough money will flow in to address challenges like club academies, recruitment of quality coaches and backroom staff, etc.

The thing is that all sectors must work together. It is the ministry of health that will ensure automatic birth capture and provide emergency services; it is our security forces that will ensure safety; it is our ministry of education that will ensure kids are in school so they are more visible to academies; long term, ministries of works, transport, power, etc. all have roles to play. However, many of these ministries can address some important issues in the short term while we work towards long term growth and stability.

Our attitudes too must change. Bribe taking and arrogance need to go. Players should be invited on merit and bribe taking officials should not drive them away. We must also condemn what is wrong with one voice and encourage what is right at all times. It shouldn't be a case of I hate something untill my guy does it -then I start to excuse it.

Lastly this Otabor call up is disappointing because we have players performing in better leagues. The NFF and Rohr must be open about whatever standards they want to apply when calling up players.
Where do you start with the Nigeria problem.

Is there one sector in Nigeria that's not riddled with corruption incompetence and sharp practices.

Just tell me one please.

IMO until the people decide not accept mediocrity and corruption. It will continue.

And those who stand to correct it will become victims of persecution e.g. Sowore.

Get context and the substance of the discourse before you respond.

I haven't changed in that principle.

Tomori had by January this year become outstanding beyond measure. He had become the established outstanding consistent top performing CB in the Championship.

Well explained. I think the current pysche needs to change and only we (the NFF) can get the ball rolling in that regard. No pun intended of course. Lol

I think the example we made of taking Shola Ameobi to the 2014 world cup has contributed to this problem. England fans I know laugh at us for that. We goofed big time!
I never heard any laughter but compare him Gabriel Rueben and a few other he wasn't the worst by any stretch of the imagination.
