Joebie:Sorry league 2, his team was relegated from league one to league two. Infact his career has been blighted by relegation clubs one after the other. |
charlesemeka85:I disagree with you. Back to my long standing proposition ; It is better to be a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league. There are clubs that have historical and present top class quality in comparison to clubs in much higher leagues. For instance the Eredivisie is rated below the Turkish league. But there is no Turkish club that can stand with Ajax present and past in any shape or form. FC Midtjylland got flogged comprehensively by Rangers a club with European football pedigree. But the league is ranked 5/6 places below the Danish football league. The same Rangers that held Villareal from Laliga over two legs. Aribo was outstanding in league one and us now outstanding in Rangers. We currently don't have anybody tjat has his level of aggression physicality and doggednes in midfield. He is playing first team football. Not academy youth football as a prospect in Barcelona, Madrid that may leave and end up in Finland. |
Danielnino00:You missed out Hope Akpan and you could add Ross Barkley ( Nigerian origin) lol |
Eartquake1:I was looking at long term progression for Iwobi not just short term possible team success at Everton. I would like to see Iwobi evolve into a quality AM dictating the game with clever passes assists and a lot more goals. How will he evolve at Everton, they will get him to adapt and play a restricted disciplined role as a winger to release Keane. Everton are hoping that Keane will be the new Lukaku that they have missed for so long. I hope l am wrong but that's my initial view. People may say Mikel did very well at Chelsea but in some other regards his talent and expression were stifled at Chelsea as he was converted from playmaker to expressionless DM and he never got to the heights we know he could have achieved. That's my take on things it's not Doom and Gloom as you put it |
Joebie:Where When How ❓ ❓ ❓ Is it the same Echiejile that should have retired. |
Tega Onomah officially signed with Fulham Fc meanwhile Ryan Ssegnon experienced left back goes to Tottenham. Strange but true just turned 19 in May and has played three seasons of first team football 120+ in both the Championship and EPL. |
BascoVanVeli:Liverpool is like Warri as Lagos is to London there are plenty distractions if you want to be distracted and plenty fine daughters of Eve, very willing to help you. |
Danielnino00:Would you call that impressive or just OK makes him look over priced for £40 million. Everton l assure you will be expecting a lot more. |
daveP:I agree with you however most can't see it that way. When you look at things with objectivity it is deemed negative by some. |
Eartquake1:That's a very wrong notion. At Arsenal there was no pressure on him to perform or do anything out of the ordinary. He will be with that great big transfer fee by Everton to make an immediate outstanding impact. Everton fans are not appreciative of the technical niceties of the game. He will be under GREAT PRESSURE £40 milliseconds very big money to Everton. The fans are less forgiving mark my words. |
Eartquake1:They are without doubt ambitious. My main consideration is style of play. But look at the players they have signed and thier particular styles of play and compare Iwobi style of play. Would you call it a perfect fit. Iwobi going to Man U, Wolves, Newcastle and even Villa suit his style of play better and give him more expression to play. |
edi287:Consider how Everton play and consider how Iwobi plays. Then without sentiment ask yourself if his style of play will fit in seamlessly. How many technically gifted players have in the last few seasons thrived at Everton and historically speaking. Look at the number of players who left Everton and went on to bigger things with football playing clubs. And also those whose careers were truncated and essentially didn't go anywhere after wards. Do your research it will probably shock you. But my view remains the same a great bit of business for Arsenal and from a monetary view for Iwobi. |
edi287:I think you are being too hasty in your deduction and even biased. Iwobi has had multiple chances to claim a regular spot and pivotal one in the Arsenal set up. But the truth must be told has not been consistent and his stats as a Winger and or AM over the years have not been very impressive. 100 games in the EPL and 11 goals is not the stats of a top player. Going to Everton is great bit of business for Arsenal and for Iwobi from a monetary perspective. However, Everton may be less patient they are a very hard working team. And players who have gone before him such as Bolasie, Walcott did not endear themselves to the club and fans long term. I simply don't think the kind of football they play will suit Iwobi just his bank balance. |
charlesemeka85:This is what happens when you don't use football age. |
BascoVanVeli:To debunk my position. I presume you must know personally a few EPL Managers, Multiple coaches, HO or recruitment and Academies, multiple players in the football leagues and a multitude of agents all in England and the UK in particular and Europe in genera. . That's why from personal experience and association you can say what l have said is a "BIG FAT LIE" Not from media reports. Otherwise by what authority do you arrive at the conclusion what l have said is a BIG FAT LIE. Please no offence tell.us please. ❓ ❓ |
forgiveness:I like Bobby Adekanya he's a very nice kid. How many times has he played for Liverpool and compare him to few of the boys of U18 who have. Thar will tell you where he stands in Liverpool and or how they look at him. At his age he's 20+ now consider how many games Ovie, Ojo, Ibe and Raheem had played at this stage. |
BascoVanVeli:Let me put it to you like this. You can disbelief me or say in talking rubbish. I can assure you what players and what club managers say in public and to the media and what they say to people they know personally and in private. ARE A THOUSAND MILES APART. So don't get carried away with those public statements. Football is known for over hyping and down playing players handicaps it's all about marketing. |
BascoVanVeli:Omeruo played in the Championship the stepping stone to the EPL if you perform. He was largely anonymous and nobody really wanted him. |
forgiveness:100 times different totally different. Pogba had been outstanding at every level and was known as the best player in that U21 group. Everybody knew him senior players and coaching staff. But corruption and deal making made them let go for nothing. He walked straight into the Juventus first team no delay within a season the best players in La Liga. |
daveP:Can not argue with that. In reality it's open season anybody can make a claim.by putting in consistent top quality performances in club and league. So the so called front runners may end up being in the background as other players take the limelight. It's going to be very interesting. |
forgiveness:The only good thing about Bobby's move is the money. He does not have any underpinning first team football experience to progress his claim for first team football. It's going to be a big CHALLENGE I hope it all goes well, he's a very nice focused kid. |
charlesemeka85:Two things here either Omeruo is arguably at best very average for a full Nigerian international for the past 7 years. Or there isn't much money in the lower half of La Liga. Because €4.5 million is a joke, or maybe I've got it wrong. l just expected transfer fees for a full international player to be a lot more than that in La Liga. The Championship will pay a lot more for a quality center back. |
forgiveness:Until they start playing first team its just speculation and some money in the bank, otherwise it could end up going NOWHERE on terms of football progression. |
Danielnino00:What about Nicholas Pepe is he from Peckham ❓ |
Eartquake1:Agreed without reservation he has s lot to learn and that place to develop and learn is at Villareal and in La Liga for at least a season or two. |
Eartquake1:EPL is about end product not dribbling skill and no team impact. |
Danielnino00:Exactly for someone who should know better what foolish advice. Then again as a man thinketh so he is. |
edi287:Very poor advice. |
safarigirl:I don't necessarily ascribe to this notion. You need to understand the cultural dynamics of relationships here in the West. People get overly emotive sentimental and infatuated and essentially loose thier minds in some euphoric nonsensical ideology they think is LOVE. When captured they then fall hook line and sinker and become lackey to the girls. All they think night and day is my girlfriend yo concentrate on career they cannot. If thier girl is not happy it then affects thier careers. In Nigeria we make a clear and distinctive demarcation between wife, girlfriend, side babe, etc etc and we don't loose our whole brain and substitute it for cotton wool. So the boys who are sexercising with Ngozi, Ekaite, Mabel, Anita, etc, etc without emotional baggage and excess sentimental luggage may do VERY WELL and be very focused on there career progression without Unnecessary DISTRACTION and be hitting high notes. I am talking not from practice but first hand observation. |
andrew444:Don't deviate the main subject here is League and Club quality. Nwakali is a side distraction that l brought in to buttress my point that players from much lower league have been given invitation to the SE. |
Danielnino00:Raheem was a very disciplined child but being thrown into the lime light so early was not a help. I only know of two children but l was only talking about the first child. |
andrew444:League is not the only unit of measurement but club position historical and current in Europe For instance the Eredivisie is rated below the Turkish league, l believe you should know that. However, Ajax as a club is rated far higher that the league it's coming from and rated VERY HIGHLY IN Europe That's why Ajax continues to sell players to the big clubs across Europe for crazy money. Will you then say that Ajax is a low level poo club using your logic. It's the same thing for Celtic regularly selling top players to the top clubs in Europe. They have a 16 year old who is arguably the most gifted in Europe K. Dembele. Rangers is not on that level but they are following close behind. So on this occasion you need to return to school and do your homework well. Where was Nwakali senior playing before invitation to the SE |
