Earthquake1:Has not by any means fallen away, he had some injuries and right now he is back in the Chelsea first team after a good season with Everton. |
Earthquake1:First of all it depends on what you define MAKING IT too mean. How many players have been given huge accolades at youth level and never made it. Too many to mention, that's why l am not a fan of giving accolades to youth players who haven't achieved anything. At best indicative but not conclusive. There is a big difference to youth players playing first team football and making it like Ryan Ssegnon, etc. Do you remember Rabui Ibrahim everything was said about him the next JJay, etc, etc But where is he now. Komekn. |
andrew444:It's all about the team you are playing for. Put him in that BREXIT FC team of Burnley and let's see how he will play. You need a team with a football philosophy and a good number of technical players. Arsenal fits him like a glove. |
mostob:Did you see the roundabout that Danny was doing in the midfield and the ridiculous one touch pass and swerve he waa doing in Burnley 18 simply mesmerising. I was also very impressed by the teenager Joe Willock small boy running show on the middle of the park. It was almost exhibition football. However, Arsenal BIG PROBLEM they can not DEFEND they need another quality CB otherwise they are going by struggle. |
jihday:When we say diss it implies untruthful denigration Back to you so you think that Iwobi will not have competition for his position look at three players coming in. Is that what you call diss and or downgrading a player. Danny, Pepe and to a lesser extent Willock the teenager. Now compare that to Everton a team evolving from almost a kick and rush past new Manager and new footballing philosophy. Iwobi will and is a starter all the time and he will have more freedom of expression. He has to live up to Everton's expectations though but compared to staying at Arsenal this is the best move for him IMO as long as performs consistently. I was skeptical at first but looking at everything in context this is a very very positive move for Iwobi. |
Deviating from the main topic. Watching Arsenal beating Burnley and give them a football lesson in the process. The other name i have for Burnley is BREXIT FC. After watching the game l have come to the conclusion that it was a very good move for Iwobi to move as the players they have Brough in will contest his position with him very strongly. Watched new signing Danny on loan from Real is just another level and then add Pepe to the equatioin n. Theu will not miss Ramsey and if they can get rid of Ozil then NUTTIN SPOIL. Will they win the title very much doubt. Meanwhile some people believed that Nwakali was going to Arsenal first team after his exploits in Porto B. |
jeremy85:Arrant nonsense and put the capital in his wife's hometown Asaba on the border with Anambra state. That's not the act of a statesman but a conniving self seeking despot. |
edi287:Na you talk am no be me. |
daveP:The bull was very much involved in that shameless escapade. |
charlesemeka85:Please dont bring God into the matter. I know Amaju right from when he was Chair of Warri Wolves, l know him Wella, " Sharp guy" That's all l will say . |
Eartquake1:Talent is not HIDDEN it's PROVEN in the field of play not on past glories. His call up was totally and entirely NOT JUSTIFIED and a big slap on the faces of players who are far more deserving. Nwakali failed in the Eredivisie a very lightweight league outside of Ajax and PSV the teams will be on par with English league one. Then after failing comprehensively he dropped to the Eerste Divisie. then after failing again he went to Porto B. Then to make matters worse he was largely on the bench playing a total of 16 games all season and not even full games. Is that your definition of IMMENSE TALENT ❓ |
forgiveness:Do you really think Rohr invited those ones he may give the impression that it's one man show. I can assure you that's it's not. |
charlesemeka85:Agreed without reservation but one addition he Rohr should be COMMENDED and if possible give am Naija wife and Chieftancy title. |
edi287:The hard brutal facts are that you can call him anything you like DLP, AM, FAM( fast attacking midfielder) etc. Etc You can get away from the fact is that he has been overwhelmingly WOEFUL. You may wish to hold in to youthful past glories but thats all history and completely irrelevant to professional first team football. As it stands now he would struggle to get into and make a stand playing English non league football. Until he starts to look perform he should not even be mentioned here. Otherwise we would also be justified in mentioning all the Nigerian origin players in non league and youth teams across Europe and or other obscure leagues. |
tbaba1234:Thankfully you used the term seems without actually stating exactly what l have said, how can you measure and balance it ❓ So with regards to Osimhen, Chukwueze and Okereke l can not respond because l don't know what specifically to respond too. However, with Osimhen. I have acknowledged his good goal tally, but l have not gone euphoric about it. Unless you wish for me to have a delusional over stated view about it. That would be highly unbalanced the very think you are accusing me of being UNBALANCED. Opinion of players are never static they continously move up and down, and so do my opinion change as the players performances change. Initially I expected great things from Onyedinma winning MOTM awards at 17 in the Championship and courted by all the big clubs. I have called him unwise and foolishly sentimenal in his childish loyalty to Millwall. I have berated him, but please give me one instance l have called for him in the last 18 months and or given excuses for him. Dominic Iorfa l have given an explanation based on unfair treatment and double standard by the NFF. That's not an excuse but an indictment. I talked about in depth the extenuating and exceptional circumstances surrounding his former club Wolves. A consequence that resulted in an English FA investigation into the ownership of the club by proxy with Mendes super agent in control. The project Wolves has worked they had more Portuguese derived players than Porto and Sporting and are now seemingly big players in the EPL. Dominic was frozen out through football politics after 2017 summer not before. He made his commitment to the NFF in January 2017 visited by Rohr nit long after and promises made but never fulfilled why ❓ Fast forward Dominic joins Sheffield Wednesday and after 11 games playing as RB he was outstanding scoring three goals in the process. So can you tell me where l have made any EXCUSES for him based on poor performance and or inability to meet the standard. I have never said that Iorfa the best Defender CB or RB in the Championship. He always been outstanding throughout the very larger percentage of his career at his young age he has played 6 seasons of professional football and near 130 games. Is that a career that you in your esteemed position thinks needs EXCUSES ❓ ❓ |
BascoVanVeli: Tell me what l said with regards to the league not being high please do not use misinterpretation and misrepresentation to present your point.❓ ❓ And my comments are in comparison to the responses heaped upon Osimhen comparative to other players who are doing the same or similar. The league had nothing to do with it just the imbalance of accolades in favour of one player over others. We had similar with KC as well. |
BascoVanVeli:Absolutely nothing. It's pictures to convey impression it looks impressive when you see players in the gym it all conveys impression. When you see Ngolo Kante running to Leicester training ground from his house it conveys an impression. When Ngolo Kante who is s multi millionaire decides to drive an over 5 year old beat up Mini. It conveys an impression. This is Kante near 5/6 years ago he could not find a club things were not good in any way. Young man knuckled down and focused. I am talking about IMPRESSIONS they are not conclusive just indicative and very subjective. You take from it what you like. The choice is yours.
|
andrew444:The term pulling down is ambiguous and simply stating your opinion even with measurable parameters. Becomes an act of HATRED. I give my opinion why Osimhen should not have been selected for the SE as a player who had not kicked a ball for the senior team. I gave it again in support of his inclusion after he performed in the Belguim league for his inclusion in the AFCON. I gave it again when he was not selected to play supporting Rohr and also when he performed very poorly. That by some fanatical supporters in thier delusional is HATRED. That's the problem with this thread but still find all thus emotive rambling and sometimes colourful language and verbal warfare. Make it excellent comedy and a break from work for me. |
BascoVanVeli:Agreed without reservation or question |
forgiveness:Unfortunately his name is not Osimhen or Chukwueze so it's not relevant news to be celebrated. Because the are stunning figures for a left winger hie many games and how many goals this beginning of the season ❓ ❓ ❓ |
edi287:Educate me please what's a DLP Is Nwakali better than Onomah, Ebere, Osayi, even the Fred Onyedinma who hus career has taken a big dip to go in the doldrums. |
charlesemeka85:There is a delusional support for players based on l don't know what but it's not rational ot objective. Nwakali has been dropping like lead in water from Eredivisie, to lower Dutch league then to add insult to injury to Porto B and struggled to get into the team played 16 games. The Eredivisie is ranked below the Turkish league and the Portuguese B is below Arsenal youth team in quality. It's not prophecy he will never play for Arsenal. Too many people making projections on past youthful glories in football. How many years ago. This guy has had three seasons of opportunity and has comprehensively FAILED. That's the bitter truth. If Aribo had had his opportunities he will be playing in the EPL. Meanwhile that's not too far off for Aribo he fits the profile he had the tenacity, Physicality, Determination, and Ruggedness mixed with goal scoring and technicality for the EPL. He will be a quality addition to the SE. Meanwhile instead of Nwakali to settle down and focus on reigniting his career, l guess the long contract he signed with Arsenal has made him loose hus way. He will be on at least £5-8k a week maybe more.

charlesemeka85:Uduokhai what makes him outstanding playing for Wolfsburg❓ Is he the first choice ❓ ❓ Style of play accolades, strengths and even weaknesses. He is near 22 and has played 29 games for Wolfsburg since 2017 that's not impressive. There is not a lot of interest by way of transfer and or the German National team. I really don't know too much about him beyond he is Edo 9ja German and he plays for Wolfsburg. Comparing him to Fikayo Tomori just the games he played last season is almost equal to Udokhai career total. Tomori was credited arguably as the best CB in the Championship. Multiple EPL clubs queuing up to sign him. Clearly outstanding but highly unlikely to get into the England set up. In this regard we can clearly see what Fikayo brings to the dinner table a three course meal a La cart menu meanwhile Udokhai just brings bland boiled potatoes with German Frankfurter to me. Or please tell me more is he better than what we have. Because IMO Fikayo Tomori clearly is. |
andrew444:Everything in context. My never ending proposition ; "Better to be a Lion in a lower league and club than an anonymous mouse in a top club and league" Ajax is in the Eredivisie a lower league than the Turkish league. Can any Turkish team stand with Ajax of the past, present and even in the future. Glasgow Rangers is in a moi moi league but the historical pedigree of this club and it current performances exceed the league. With regards to Aribo he was outstanding in league one was wanted by several Championship clubs and rumours of EPL clubs. But he wisely chose Rangers to develop further for long term career progression. He has been outstanding in Europe and in the league. I could add Seyi Ojo three games in Europe and two goals in quite a start for Left winger. But he will need Fifa clearance as a former England youth international. Tell us more please about Zuby not just your opinion but garnish it with stats and his playing style, etc. And let's have an informed discussion without insults please gentlemen. |
charlesemeka85:Put those two in Turkish league and how many assists and goals will they score and how influential will they be in thier respective teams. Now put Nwakaeme in league one will he stand out in your opinion. |
tbaba1234:Because the Turkish league is not as competitive as the top leagues in Europe. And so the achievement must be seen in context. |
charlesemeka85:Chuba destroyed youth football. But has played at EPL, Championship then League One. With nothing to show. What saves him is the Arsenal pedigree that he uses to brand himself to European teams. Otherwise he would by now be looking at Non league in England. And this is quite a common phenomenon once players leave big clubs at youth level. |
charlesemeka85:It's a moi moi league if he can't score thier where else will he score NPFL ❓ |
charlesemeka85:My opinion before was not good enough and my opinion now DEFINITELY not good enough. |
DrLikita12:Is KC a midfielder now on what basis league form. I expected a few new players to be tried out its very conservative and not progressive. |
charlesemeka85:This is one of the major problems when you come back from injury. You need to gradually fund your feet if you rush you could cause yourself permanent damage. You need a good set of professional support to help you through this period. |

❓
what was that you were saying about Osimhen when he was in Belgium? That the league wasn't ranked high enough bla bla bla but now you wonder why a player that plays in Scotland is not hyped as a guy playing in La Liga? I tire for you ooo
