andrew444:Morrison is a total Wasteman, out on the club in Manchester hanging with his boys doing NUTTIN. His problem are all self birthed, highly indisciplined, zero focus, etc But again If he changes his ATTITUDE in a season or two he will be back in the EPL. He reminds me of Balotelli sometimes a player who should really be challenging Messi and Ronald has settled for being the top man in the French league. |
andrew444:Agreed without reservation in comparison to the EPL La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga, French league one but not much else. In saying lower league it has to be comparison based. |
andrew444:Rangers is a club l actually know very well. It waa not a SUPRISE AT ALL to me, many moons ago when the debate was going on here that Umar is better than Tega Abrahams and Ighalo. I made the comment that Sadiq Umar would struggle in the English league one. With hindsight l was being generous and overly optimistic. Each league has its unique characteristics whicc means you need certain attributes to survive and overcome. After watching Sadiq l said he lacks physicality although big and tall he lacks strength. At the slightest touch he falls over. I even suggested he may flat feet and a problem with his ankles. Fast forward in training sessions he was woeful that's how bad it was getting bullied by youth players and oyibo at that. Now that's a disgrace from my prejudice double standard oyibo boys deh bully you Chei. He ended up playing youth football U23 in one game he was substituted at half time didn't score and was not having impact. 17 year old Dapo Mebude came in to replace him and promptly scored a hat trick. In summary Sadiq Umar was very poor he may do better in a less physically intensive league. He is forever remembered very vividly in one of the two games he played for Rangers. When he was 1 on 1 with goalkeeper and instead of scoring or taking a shot he dives very poorly hoping to get the penalty. At that stage he was slated by everyone. |
andrew444:Take out Celtic and what you have is essentially league one level possibly lower for some teams. |
charlesemeka85:Nwakali is not an EXCEPTIONAL TALENT just potential not realised. |
andrew444:There is no comparison nor linkage between the situations. Ravel Morrison is very similar to Adel Tarabt INCREDIBLE TALENT but unfortunately VERY HIGHLY INDISCIPLINED. Now he is getting his act together the potential is being recognised once again. |
Joebie:I would not call Championship lower league. |
Earthquake2:WOW !!! The forgotten man has woken up from his slumber. He was exceptional at youth level winning everything buy could not transition that quality to first team football. So he went to a backwater league to reinvent himself. |
charlesemeka85:The reality is that Rangers and Celtic would not consider Omeruo good enough for thier teams. Not too long ago a player that was rated higher than Tega Abrahams in the name of Sadiq Umar went to Rangers from a supposed higher league and club and was a TOTAL FLOP. So Rangers though in a lower league is a higher European club in context of European football. |
andrew444:The Scottish premier league is at best on the level of England league one. However, must matters in the context of club football there are two clubs that generally win everything in the Scottish league. Celtic and Rangers with regards to Celtic theu are a team that always does well in Europe. They have a European high club rating much higher them thier league. Rangers has fallen begin but is trying to catch up. As a result Celtic mores so than Rangers are able to sell thier players yo the top teams in Europe. So a good move by Aribo to gain access to either the championship and or the EPL on a much improved contract if he performs consistently. |
Joebie:Everything should be based on continous consistent top quality performances in thier respective in and league. By the way you, Eéeeeeee be like sai you contradict yourself. In saying that Aribo is ready for the SE and not Chuks Because you said the Chuks has not been tested at a higher level implying that Aribo has. Chuks was the most outstanding player in league one two seasons ago before MK Dons got relegated check his stats goals and assists. MK Dons refused to sell him blatantly after several firm offers from Championship clubs. He was also the most outstanding player in league two. He is now in the Championship and Aribo is in a much lower league. Rangers as a club is on league one level England. So your proposition is contradictory. |
Icon4s:But l made that intrinsically clear video footage is at best indicative. But the pertinent component is STYLE OF PLAY and how well that fits into the SE ethos. Please kindly hi back to my Post and l wrote at least two paragraphs on the ills and detriments of using video footage. I went on to further describe the only type of video footage l.use myself. |
Joebie:I look at players individual attributes and how well they can affect the game irrespective of the league and club. Each team has a preference as articulated by the manager for a particular type of player that reflects they style of play or team strategy. The SE require technical ability and skill, but also physicality and drive. For me Aribo does that but with more physicality than Ndidi and determination he's an enforcer. And yes l think he has something to offer. Onomah has lost his way a bit by not playing his preferred role as CM. He also had a hamstring Injury which did not help him. Nonetheless if the transfer to Fulham goes through it will win win for him because thier style of play on the deck intricate passing and technical football will suit him most. He had the ability to be the CM for the SE. He is not just technical bit has the best passing range. Eze is very good on 1 on 1 but doesn't have the passing range to control games as a CM. Is Iwobi better o simply don't know. But consider this put Iwobi in QPR will he be the numero one and score 10 goals and 20 assists or even more. l actually doubt it, then put Eze in Arsenal what would he do. But the BIGGEST and the one that for me is ahead from my own perspective is CHUKS ANEKE. Since coming back from a near two year injury nightmare. He has been the outstanding player for club and in each league consistently over the past two seasons. He has everything technical ability, Both feet scoring regularly, skill and intelligence and s very wide passing range. Then add brute strength and ruggedness no matter the way you want to play he can play. Only one thing I'm not sure about is his pace hrs not slow not just super fast. He's in the Championship l expect him to score in thier first game end of season minimum 15 goals depending where he is played. Because he is versatile he was originally CM at Arsenal. |
charlesemeka85:Seyi Ojo has not delivered on the expected promise. Liverpool paid £1.8 million plus for him when he was 14 but he hasn't really met those great EXPECTATIONS. He should have gone to Newcastle when he had the chance. As a player you need to play to progress and develop. You must shrewd about what option in terms of transfers to take and which to reject. These decisions will make or break your career. I know at Rangers he will score goals and probably be outstanding. However, it may not get him the required interest from the big clubs he desires. He should have gone to the Championship. |
charlesemeka85:To get to the top doesn't just require a good manager but top class players. And therefore you need the best you can get not just decent. |
edi287:Tell me one players that can do what Chuks does in our current set of players. Aribo plays almost like the old fashioned enforcer he is similar to Ndidi but drives forward more like Gerard with a decent shot. |
Danielnino00:I disagree. Not with the kind of robust physical football played in the AFCON particularly Onyekuru and Osimhen are too lightweight. Chukwueze is able but has a lot learn with end product. |
Earthquake2:You have omitted a MAIN VITAL COMPONENT. Arnold Trent Alexander and Robertson the two wing backs. Check the stats for assists from the two players who both have blistering pace and pinpoint accuracy with thier crosses. In addition they can defend. |
darkelf:From my perspective Ebere is a very skillful midfielder excellent on 1 on 1. However, when it comes to dictating the pace of the game from the midfield that's not his main strength. That's why l rate Onomah more because he is able to dominant the game with a far greater range of passing ability. With regards to club l felt that some of the mid range EPL clubs would find him as a good option. On the other hand most of the mid range clubs have noticed his ball distribution and passing range is not that great. Sometimes it boils down to sheer luck and opportunity. Not every player in the EPL is better than the players in the Championship. |
Danielnino00:For good wingers to play they ABSOLUTELY REQUIRE Good quality Wing/Full backs or it is a waist of time and the team imbalance causes gaps across the field of play resulting in loss of team cohesion and connectivity. Which cause panic and mistakes across the defense and pulls the midfield backwards and you loose attacking edge.. |
andrew444:Agreed |
andrew444:That's right Kelvin he played for Man city a few games but lacked long term consistent quality and fizzled out to the lower leagues. |
charlesemeka85:I am not an advocate of video clips as the main tool to asses players it is too easily contrived and manipulated to make players look better than they actually are. When i submit video clips i only submit 5-7 minute clips of individual games not merge 5/6 games into one clip to make you look like Neymar when you are more like Phil Neville. Aribo is tough battling midfielder who has fought his way against all odds to get to where he is, he hant been schooled in the technical niceties of the game but he is a warrior and he is somewhat similar to Gerrard in his style of play. Now that's the pertinent phrase STYLE OF PLAY. So i am going to put three Youtube videos of these 4 players Aribo, Eze, Onomah, and Chuks which gives a clear indication of thier STYLE OF PLAY then you can answer the question which most suites the 9ja way or if you like historical organisation delivery ethos of the SE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErDm8bpnHPA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hMYD3xUATs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_0--DvJ0Ew https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xW1zhLD8bY The choice is your, Akpoo, Amala, Starch or Pounded Yam ![]() Ovie does not need to bulk up AT ALL he is deceptively strong although he doesn't really like the physical side of football he is more intelligent and technical with his football. |
edi287:Aribo for me is a battler and hard man in the midfield similar to Ndidi not the most skilful and technically gifted he reminds me of a certain Etuhu that played for Nigeria. Onomah and Eze are technicial gifted players with Onomah the better of the two for now, who can play as AM. Also you have Ovie who can not be ignored excelled in Glasgow Rangers in a league that's not as good as the Championship by a considerable stretch. The dark horse that is going to suprise all of you this season in my speculative opinion is Chuks Aneke now at Charlton. |
andrew444: B4 u begin deh find gear for automatic car, Let me RE-EDUCATE YOU Coming to the Championship as a teenager and ending up as one of the top goal scorers in the championship is not an easy thing to do. Then going to the EPL with a relegation fighting Swansea who played survival football and how many different managers ❓ But to then go back to the Championship older and wiser and then at 21 (true age) be the top goal scorer is really outstanding consistent continous top class performance. No wonder Chelsea have given him the number 9 jersey. Hudson- Odoi is a teenager and to think he still just 18 and was playing in the EPL at 17 is simply supercalifragilisticexpialidocious LOL ![]() Although to pay him £150k a week is simply MADNESS but as they say " Who dem put sugar for him mouth, were no go lick" |
bataderemi:I remember when someone said he only good for the championship as a derogatory comment. There was hell fire and brimstone thrown on anybody who said he was better than KC, Osimhen, Ighalo but l noticed they have gone quite very quite, NOW. Tega has a platform to deliver and it's no going to be easy. Chelsea is very impatient club yoi are given little time and you must DELIVER. Admittedly giving him the number 9 jersey is big statement of how they value and rate him currently. |
andrew444:He is man of unquestionable integrity incredibly humble doesn't preach the word but lives it. Gr8 guy |
Earthquake1:If you have essentially championship players then you can not play offensive football you have to play compact tight team game and work very hard. To play offensive football you need quality players and that costs money and the bigoted chairman refused to spend but expected to Win. |
darkelf:What you should do is look at how much money Brighton invested in players recruitment. Thier main and only of striker of significance was 35 year old Glenn Murray. There were many championship sides that invested more than Brighton. In effect what Chris did over 5 years bringing them from the lower division to the EPL and kept them in the EPL with no money was near miraculous. The set up in Brighton is not what you think there is a lot more too it than you can imagine. |
Earthquake1:go and check his stats and you will find you are completely off the mark with your emotive view. |
krattoss:I can assure you that is 100% CORRECT in general. Apart from Chris Houghton, Darren Brown and maybe Klopp i can not vouch for any other manager. For example Alex Ferguson son is agent, so are the brothers of Guardiola, David Moyes, etc, etc |
Earthquake1:Nothing to celebrate not a really good move. How much a club pays for you is a reflection of the importance they have placed on you. He may highly likely end up in the U23's. He would have been better off going to a lower league club that really need you and will therefore play you. I hope he proves me wrong and gets into the first team but it looks very unlikely, in my opinion not a good move, for career enhancement. I remember when Uche Ikpeazu was the highest goal scorer in the U18 league in England, left Reading signed for Watford never played a single game for them after three years. Liverpool the highly marketed Jerome Sinclair who had the record of being the youngest player to play for Liverpool at 16. Considering Liverpool payed WBA £1 million for him at 14, thy sold him to Watford for near £5 million good pay for the club and player but zero career progression. Where is Jerome Sinclair now , struggling to get a game for Sunderland with non league staring at him in the face, he has chosen the relative ease of the Eredivise. |
