Joebie:There is a no huge difference to what he said in comparison to the German boys. However it was perceived VERY BADLY and Very wrongly by many including here. But his intention was very different. Also it's gone into the realm of politics he really can not say too much. |
chrisooblog:Yes l do in general And l always talk ALSO about being outstanding and the stand out player in your club and league. Which you failed to mention can l suggest intentionally. The core subject is not my general proposition with regards to football selection. But the BLATANT DOUBLE STANDARD BY THE NFF with regards to the Continued Consistent Invitations overtures given too German Nigerians Tournigha, Udokhai and Akpoguma. Players who have Consistently rejected these request publicly and on various media platforms. But we have still relentlessly pursued them. On the other hand there has been continous consistent vitriolic caustic abusive rhetoric directed towards Tega Abrahams. on this forum by so many, that's the first double standard. Dominic Iorfa has been CONSISTENTLY CONTINOUS IN HIS POSITION, l will play for Nigeria at 23. He breached that earlier position and committed to Nigeria at 21 when he finished with England U21 and had secured a long term contract. Where us the dishonourable act here ❓ I even remember Rohr visited him and then after that. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. However we continue to pursue the Germans Nigerian players, without relentlessly with no restraint. Dominic Iorfa played for England youth teams so did the German boys Dominic had been playing first team football a lot sooner than all.of them. This is the second shameless double standard. Keep your response in context please so we can iron out the issues without sentiment or evasion. |
ChrisKels:Unless you are an extremely biased bigot that preaches division and discord. How on earth did you come to that conclusion.?? |
[quote author=darkelf post=77521125]The racial bias is so obvious. Tammy will even fall behind Jamie Vardy in terms of consideration[/quote There will always be racial bias. However, exceptional quality in football can and eclipse racial prejudice, because at the end of the day everybody wants to win. Your statement in bold is completely UNTRUE and very misleading. Did Rashford and Raheem not bench Vardy ❓ To the point Vardy was almost a passenger to the world cup. Are Raheem and Rashford white ❓ ❓ |
raindodger13:I would suggest you move from DOS to Windows and windows 10. Everything is global things are changing dramatically and at pace. London is almost another stare capital of Nigeria l don't know the population of Nigerian origin in the UK. But right now if you have Church without a London branch you have not started. I can go to an Estate agent in London and buy a house in Lagos. If you are a comedian, musician and you don't do a show in London you are not in the game seriously. There are Nigerians born and bred in the UK who are more Nigerian then Nigerian in Nigeria. |
charlesemeka85:The wrong decision can make or destroy your career. That's the reality poor choice short term vision the £££€€€ blinded his eyes and reasoning. |
charlesemeka85:What you are saying is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. However things are changing quite rapidly the racist bigots in the English football administration have been forced to come to terms with the reality VERY BITTERLY & GRUDGINGLY that if you look at modern football without the inherent God given attributes in the genes of Africans irrespective if 2nd or 3rd generation or much longer, You will not win much. England for the first time in its racially biased history taking a leaf from France. Decided to allow our boys African origin free unrestricted acces to the youth teams. What was the result. For the first time in thier history they dominated U17, U19 and U21. And sweeped the table. Right now go to the top academies in England they are actively looking for our sons aggressively. They are recruiting players at age 5/6 by age 8/9 they are training 4/5 times a week including matches for at least 2 hours. They are looking for the next Mbappe. When Seyi Ojo, Raheem Sterling were just 14 Liverpool paid £1.8 and 1 million respectively. And that was almost 10 years ago. Inflation and other factors had pushed prices up not down. If you are 12 sometimes younger and showing real outstanding promise you will be shocked at the kind of £££ inducement coming the way of the parents. Yes they can buy you a house and a new car too but not necessarily a Bentley. And the larger percentage of these players are African origin. I was talking to a Championship club sometime ago and the recruitment made it clear that they are looking for our fast and strong " Pounded Yam " boys not cream coloured potato boys. So it's almost a kind of reverse racism, go to the dressing room at the academy they are not played bon Jovi it's Davido and Whizkid and they are all doing Shaku Shaku. I am sure I shared a video of PSG U19 changing room after a match they were 90% black. Watched Chelsea U18 in a match and all the outfield players at one stage were all black apart from the goalkeeper. There is CHANGE in the players selection but not in the management and coaching staff, they are still all 99% white. No change there yet. |
Joebie:There is a blatant shameless double standard HERE. When the NFF approached Uduokhai, Jordan Torunarigha, Akpoguma they have been consistently rejecting all advances. But we are still approaching them to date after continous consistent rejections. They have said some quite unflattering things about Nigeria. But nobody has attacked them with the same venom and unguarded hatred shown to Tega Abrahams. WHY ❓ ❓ The NFF and quite a few here are filled with unbridled hypocrisy. Tega did not tell Amaju to shout at the rooftops that he agreed to play for Nigeria. A situation that required quite diplomacy and a bit of subterfuge. Amaju carry loudspeaker begin shout. People have no idea about the high level of pressure that waa brought to bear on Tega. He was caught between a rock and a hard place. Damned if you don't damned if you do. Meanwhile he had not sorted out his long terms future thay could easily been jeopardised. Three seems to be very limited knowledge of the politics of football and yes discrimination and corruption. You think England were going to sit down and watch another potential Zaha situation happen again. What l am saying there is lot more to this story that will NEVER EVER BE MADE PUBLIC. I deviate somewhat we are still chasing these German Nigerian who have blatantly rejected Nigeria. But no mention of Dominic Iorfa who is comparable or even better. Particularly when he made commitments to the SE near three years ago. |
Famocious:You get all your ideas from the media you have no idea about what actually transpired in the context of conversation with Amaju and Tega. |
tbaba1234:I don't understand your reasoning. Not all Nigerian kids are good irrespective of whether they born in Peckham or born in Ajegunle. Good is not about birth. In addition good is not a constant it will depreciate and appreciate with time indeed many will drop off before they are even 21. |
Joebie:U suppose know say l know Amaju from when he deh run local runs 4 Warri Wolves oh. Whaaaaten dem deh talk for paper and wheaten dem talk na two different matter oh. Na Amaju spoil ground go open Banga soup before d ting don. Na England come rush quench the fire. |
Earthquake2:The issue not accommodation. But the selection of the best on MERIT not nepotism and or favoritism. Very simple excellence wins. The best players wherever you are coming from. |
andrew444:You made the allegation that the British media claimed that Henderson and Dier are world class. All media have a name they are not anonymous. You are now being BLATANTLY OBVIOUS. If you no get shame, l shame For you. Simple request state the SOURCE unless you created the source and also the story. |
Icon79:Bigoted prejudice. You exclude on the basis of place of birth what's the difference between your proposition and TRIBALISM. Then your proposition is contradictory confusion. I will answer the question you pose in the bold. You don't know who is better until you test them on a level playing field without biased favoritism. Then let MERIT select the best players. Not place of birth. that in my opinion is nonsensical. I |
Icon79:This is the prejudice that baffles me. You, sir make the negative demarcation which is exactly the same sentiments which TRIBALISM is anchored upon. In my opinion you have lost your way. Your place of birth is not what defines you. What you are saying effectively is that Nigerians born outside of Nigeria are simply LESS NIGERIAN. That's TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. This is the same bigoted and prejudiced sentiment that made people in Lagos to come against other Nigerian who some are third generation born in Lagos to being excluded from political office in Lagos state claiming that they are not indigenous to Lagos state. This is so RETROGRESSIVE and the very kind iof negative counter productive mentality that has stifled development and enthroned mediocrity and birthed our FANTASTIC CORRUPTION in our beloved country Nigeria. Your sentiment would have excluded Obama an African by parentage from becoming President of the USA. Because l was born.in the UK I am according to you less Nigerian. I disagree with you completely without restraint and apology. |
Icon4s:This has absolutely Nothing to do with the individual. It seems you commented on this somewhat long post, by bypassing the substance, over looking the intent and deviating from the core subject. That's quite disappointing coming from you. |
andrew444:Please let's lnot fantasise and misrepresent in order to push forward your self birthed opinion and presumption. Please " Quarell No deh" please quote the media source that claimed the water carriers Henderson and Dier are world class. Otherwise if you cannot then you ate telling Lies very BIG ONES. |
Danielnino00:This statement has nothing to do with Lateef don't even know who he is. But is in general looking at this hole demarcation that many have made here between Nigerian origin players and players born in Nigeria. With a preference by many for the latter. |
Curtisaxel7:Being born outside Nigeria doesn't make you less Nigerian infact it many areas you may be more patriotic in your passion for a better Nigeria. And less compromising on some of our established and accepted but wrong norms and values,i.e. Corruption, lies, age cheating, etc. Unfortunately that particular position may see you as an outsider because of your uncompromising stand on sharp practices and insistence on integrity. If we go way back in time we have always had Nigerian origin players in the SE, such as John Chidozie. This was however the purist period when performance and passion was the only consideration. However, introduction of €€€£££$$$ and big buckets of it, have changed the entire mentality of football and the NFF. In reality this love of money by any means possible has gone so deep into the national psyche. That l don't think we can solve the problem. Over the years we have become morally bankrupt. But back to football and l find that the issues of prejudice, dislike and negative bias garnished with unfounded disdainful bigotry and dubious presumptions are placed on Nigerian origin essentially because they were not born in Nigeria. Many make theses unfounded prejudgments on Nigerian origin players including myself on this forum. Tells of deep seated issues that I still cannot understand. Is it that over the years there are differences in sociological orientation norms and values, l don't know ❓ Not too long ago Sone Aluko had outstanding performances for Nigeria, but was completely frozen out for no apparent reason. I personally know why but it had Nothing to do with football. More to do with the shameless demands of a certain well known very Bullish national NFF coach. I have not mentioned any names Oh !!! Nearly all the Nigerian origin players that have played for Nigeria in the last 10 years that l have spoken too have all told me. That they all experienced demands for Honorarium and monetary appreciation they all found this very disconcerting. It is presented in a subtle suggestion but understood to be obligatory. This may be at the heart of the matter. Nigerian origin players born in Europe and playing for teams wish to honour thier country but don't feel they should pay for the privilege. They don't need the SE to further thier careers. As a result they are not inclined to sign with your preferred agent or sign any kind of agreement attached to future earning and or pay you any Honorarium. The desperate situation we have at home means there are hundred of thousands of players. Who will sign anything and agree to everything to give thier football career a boost. We know about the exposed coach Salisu which for me us the tip of the iceberg. That is a major difference between the two sets of players Nigerian born and Nigerian origin. Most of the boys in Nigerian academies at the heart of thier dreams and motivation is coming to Europe to play professional football. They will all be connected to the NFF through thier various sponsors. Who look at them as investments. I am not sure if TPI is outlawed in Nigeria❓ But there are ways around it particularly in Nigeria. These academy owners will know how to circumvente the process and get thier players in. This is Nigeria we know what can happen and what often does. In a nutshell, Nigerian origin players born in Europe will not pay, EGUNJE, particularly when thier careers are on the ascendancy. Unfortunately those on Nigeria are more inclined too. "Who pays the piper dictates the tune " |
TheGoodJoe:If you haven't assessed a player to establish if he can fit in with your system through training, how can you make the DECISION. However, if Nuno who is Portuguese and his Portuguese super agent Mendes who is effectively running the club is bringing in multiple players from Portugal. Nuno has too make space for those players Portuguese imports. So a lot of English players were dropped without question. Like said Wolves had more Portuguese players than Benfica and Porto. That should tell you what's going on. Nuno lied because he didnt make his decision based on player assessed ability but on biased preference based on monetary consideration and Mendes instructions / preference. |
TheGoodJoe:I would TOTALLY DISAGREE with you. The things players, agents and club staff have told me about Manager's if made public. If made public by an individual that person could get sued for defamation. So there is a unwritten code of silence in these matters. You have Kenny saying extremely good things about a player he has known and coached for several years. That opinion is strengthened by the interest expressed in him by multiple EPL clubs and a call up to camp with England first team. Within days of the arrival of Nuno he is immediately frozen out not even allowed to train with the first team. What would you call that nothing said by Nuno, just s deafening silence, but his actions say a thousand words. |
TheGoodJoe:You are in this case 100% correct Kenny Jackett was the Manager at Wolves at this time. And Dominic was the poster kid at the club with huge expectations. Dominic Iorfa waa so highly rated at Wolves he had been winning MOTM awards as a teenager had already played about a 100 games. To cap it all was invited to train with the England senior team in a sense unprecedented for a Championship player. Fast forward to 2017/18 season Super agent Mendes takes control of the club by proxy. Brings in Nuno as Manager and more Portuguese players than Benfica and Porto. Dominic was immediately fazed out to make way for the imported Portuguese based players. He was not even allowed to train with the first team under Nuno. But the decision was made that he was not good enough but not on football considerations. More football money politics. So yes your very correct, Nuno Espírito lied and denied the quality of Dominic to compete and or have any opportunity. The assumption being less he eclipsed the Mendes players. |
andrew444:On what basis will he join Belguim J league, past glories of 5 years ago or an anonymous two seasons in Holland. Or mediocre performances in the Youth team of Porto. |
TheGoodJoe:Good morning Oga TheGoodJoe, how u deh ❓ It seems the entire core substance of my discourse is lost on you. The core issue is ROLE and player attributes or if you like unique selling point or even BRAND. Because Benteke and Solanke as well as Championship strikers Che Adams, Teemu Pukki, Grabben, all have the particular attribute that fits the particular and unique requirements of the Championship. So the core question is can KC thrive in the physical intense, ( jam body) Championship albeit mixed with some technicality depending on the team. ❓ Be honest, l know he is your son, but sometimes you have to give truthful advice not deceptive hype. All the players I have mentioned do have the particular attributes required for the championship and that's why they will get clubs in the Championship easily and some will even move up to the EPL. That's why the players i have mentioned will always get interest from the Championship and KC will not. Solanke has the attributes of a true number 9, point man, although not proven at club level. Nonetheless, don't forget he got the golden boot at the U20 football world cup. He has great POTENTIAL that's yet to be realised. He didnt get any opportunities at Chelsea the same way KC got at Manchester city. Another reason he has been given the benefit of the doubt. He got some opportunity at Liverpool but very limited game time, l think he should have done a lot better. His true test is NOW and what he does this season but more so next season. Otherwise he will become a "Wasteman " But whaaaaten concern us with Solanke Dude has no affinity to Nigeria at all. ![]() Finally, with KC, there is the small matter of 4 goals in two seasons in the EPL. And currently this season he has scored just ONE GOAL. That record will not inspire confidence even at league one level. So once again good morning my friend. |
Earthquake2:It's irrelevant how many goals he KC has scored it's not the context to determine attribute football role and or position. What l am saying which you have refused to acknowledge is quite simply that KC is not a striker, a true No.9, essentially. But you wish to muddy the waters by making a comparison with Solanke. Who has no interest in playing for Nigeria. The comparison made with KC to Solanke is not about performances but role. Just as I would rate Tega Onomah, Brown Ideye, Onuachu, etc as true number 9 forward players even Osimhen. KC has scored a total of 16 goals from 94 games in the EPL. But that's not that important, in football the context is ALWAYS present continous and maybe immediate past. In 48 games and two seasons in Leicester City he has scored 4 goals that's the relevant current context. Much more disturbing is that he has scored. ONE GOAL all season that's a big problem. Salah has scored near 20 goal for Liverpool this season does that make him therefore a striker ❓ There are many defenders who have scored more goals than KC this season should they then become strikers. ![]() So stop being mischievously contentious. Keep to the context of the discourse. Which l repeat is simply that KC is not w striker he just doesn't have the attributes to be a true number 9. So you think any forward thinking club will buy a player who has not defined a role for himself in football and has scored ONE GOAL since the beginning of the season. |
edi287:Thank you very much, l don't want too expand on this too much, l really don't want to give examples. But your SPOT ON. |
andrew444:I am indulging you with your approach to what in your opinion you call reasonable. You really have not read the numerous write ups on this topic. So I give up. Can someone else explain to my friend andrew444, in a language that he can understand. because I don tire. |
TheGoodJoe:Players and coaches always give the press a version of events that is not always the truth or a view for public consumption. Do you think any player will express his disagreement with his manager in public or a Manager vice versa. You really should know better this is really elementary reasoning and not befitting of someone of your standing. |
Earthquake2:Your question wrongly presented and as such you can not get any value from it. Goals is not the issue but role, it's possible that Balogun could have scored mire goals than Virgil Van Dyke. Would you then say that Balogun is a better defender ❓ Giroud may not score too many goals but he adds to his goals presence and hold up play. Firmino nay nit be the best striker but apart from goals he backtracks and is creative with the addition of link up play. I am sorry your question is unbecoming of some one who should really know a lot more. |
andrew444:You call that not bad and they got rid of him by packaging him to Turkey retirement league. Well compare that to KC record in Leicester it's actually considerably worse than Slimani record. You have confused yourself with your own argument. Go and take cold pure water to Kool your brain down, "u no deh reason well again " |
TheGoodJoe:It's very simple two different priorities. One is a team Manager and taking down your player can cost you millions in lost value. Even if you think he is rubbish you will NEVER say that in public. A national team coach will not have the same considerations. I talk from experience what coaches will say in PRIVATE is very different from what thru will say in PUBLIC. |
andrew444:It's disappointing when l went to great lengths to explain the situation at Wolves which became the subject of an FA investigation. With the super agent Mendes control of the club by proxy and the importation of all things Portuguese. Wolves have more Portuguese players than Porto and Benfica. But you have chosen to be blind to that. Solanke is essentially a youth player yet to show his true QUALITY yes he ripped the U20 World cup but it's not enough IMO. However, even with his very limited playing time at Liverpool. Bournemouth payed £20 million for him. In addition he shouldn't be part of the discussion, this is player I have met. He has Zero affinity for anything Nigerian. |
