Yakubu Aiyegbni didn't play for a top cub as prolific as he was. Shut happens atimes. It would be interesting for you to tell us just three players not one, preferably African and or Nigerian. Menh. Everton don almost win. Chaiiii Ndidi will not get a better EPL club if any. KC, Ndidi will opt to stay in the Championship 🏆 with Leicester City , because nobody is going to pay them their current wages and or any better transfer fee. They will run out their current contracts to the last day . |

After all the posturing and arguments, claims an counter claims about player quality.
The pertinent question is not who wins the Tournament , but how many of these players will go on to play in top leagues and clubs❓
Because that's the basis for national team selection not U21 football ⚽
How many of the Brazilians will we see in the EPL , La Liga, Bundisliga, etc and how many Nigerians ❓❓
Everything else is academic. |

Marjoribanks: This guy and false info are like twins. Na everyone dey born for hospital for Brazil? How many years ago did Brazil started their capture. Some places in Brazil worst past Ajekunle. For real! Stop being myopic by feeding people false info. The Favelas are largely lawless but still there is access to medical health administrative control and management. That enables automatic birth data capture. That's from a urban socio-economic perspective. However, if you talk about the fee isolated indigenous people within the Amazon then you have a point, although they are less than 5% of the population. In addition indegenous peoples don't have urban locations and football ⚽ that is 99% urban based. Your proposition is highly inaccurate. |

At the very best we can have an age range but no specifics. Brazil has automatic governmental data capture at birth. We DO NOT. So you rely entirely on the players integrity it's like taking a bank loan based on persons uncorroborated claim to pay back. |

However, the coaches don't rate him that much, the official stance is he is s very good but in practice he is not given the respect he deserves. You even had to go back years ago when Tomori was playing for Chelsea how many of seasons ago. And how many goals did he score against Liverpool. V.O. is an excellent player but him making a mockery of EPL defenders is not going to be easy. I can say the enigma that is Haaland has done it, but they are two different types of players. I expect him to get a minimum of 15 goals for Manchester United or Newcastle. |

Epl is bigger than bundesliga I agree but werder Bremen is bigger that the 5 English clubs you mentioned Bundisliga is rated three in Europe but Werder Bremen is romancing relegation and is on the lower level of the Bundisliga. I could talk about club Finances and there would be no comparison. In reality Werder Bremen should be compared to the upper level clubs of the Championship not any club in the EPL. Nonetheless, I'll make it very easy for you , with a screenshot of the team selection in a recent match. Papi85: no matter how hard we try we can’t hv all of them at once. We get some as well as lose some
I think the better way to approach them is snapping them when they re yet to hit stardom by integrating them to our youth teams but the nff hardly do that and when they do they insist the players will take the responsibility of paying for their flight ticket which is not encouraging at all
If I happen to be a parent in the europe and the nff give such condition to my kid no way will I accept that
This is one of the issue the nff needs to address. Atleast in any of our age grade team they should try to incorporate 2-5 talented foreign born players for future purposes. No matter how we paint it as been unpatriotic it’s difficult to ignore the lure of this top European footballing nations when they come calling.
These players tend to lean more to the country of their birth because it’s easy for them to assimilate into the team where they hv the opportunity to play with others that were their friends growing up as well as club mates than coming to a terrain they barely know nothing about.
Even I though many of them hv visited Nigeria before
A good example is the young Brighton defender currently in their first team. Such are players that were suppose to be given a chance in the u20 team but once he hits stardom by making decent numbers in the epl and attracting the English and Nigerian Fa it becomes difficult for him to choose
Eze hv always nursed the ambition to play for England but only trained with the super eagles when it seem he wasn’t sure of making it in top flight football. Immediately he started doing well with Qpr in the 2nd tier of English football the FA came calling for him to be part of the u20 team which he hurriedly without hesitation accepted at the expense of a call to the same super eagles team he trained with in the Uk 🇬🇧 earlier
It implies that he’s major goal hv always been to play for he’s country of birth That's not TRUE. The problem lies with the NFF not with the Nigerian origin players in Europe. They don't create relationships in the first instance. And you will have to admit just like every single quasi government and government body. The official have one major preoccupation. How to make money by hook or crook. Nigerian born players are obligated to have godfathers in the NFF and sign up with preferred NFF agents or proxies and or even pay their match bonus to NFF officials. The Nigerian born players are far more likely to concede and play along its normal practice to them. However, that will not work with players born in the UK who are not desperate and will find such demands totally unacceptable. |

I talked about Carney donkey years ago he is Quality box to box Midfielder, that would be a great addition to the SE.

Joebie: ScoreNigeria reports that Bundesliga side, Werder Bremen, trying to make a decision between Chuba Akpom (Championship MVP) and Jerome Akor, who is 7 goals out of 7 this season in the Norwegian league. komekn, so why is this a hard choice? I don't know but how do your know Werder Bremen are trying to make a decision between these two players ❓ Anyways while they are deciding bigger clubs are trying to buy him like Crystal Palace, Everton, Wolves, West Ham, all in the EPL. So going to Werder Bremen would be a step down not up for him. They are effectively a very poor suitor and maybe a striker from a league rated 17 in Europe bus probably more of their level. ( Chuba is to big for them ) |

Marjoribanks: Keep crying. We do not need him. If Nwakali had the same priviledge of growing up in England, he won't even be at Crystal Palace at 25 years . Rest! He only has one Euro and one world cup if he is fortunate. Sancho, Sterling, Ferguson, Mount are breathing down on his neck. We wish him all the best. His inclusion in the Eagles won't make us win a world cup and we could win AFCON without him. Rest! Please forgive me, maybe 🤔 you haven't ever left Nigeria and or have a wide and informed social network. Otherwise you would not have this very misinformed view . Living in Nigeria bis very very tough it's easier in England but there are still several challenges nonetheless. Making in football ⚽ means you will have to overcome several obstacles and being in England will not give you any overriding advantage. First of all talking genetics 🧬 and athletic disposition of African origin football ⚽ players in Europe and England specifically. If Nwakali was in England he would first of have to prove himself at grass roots level and get scouted, then he will have to compete with hundreds of African origin boys both in and outside the club for several years. And then you will get signed from age 8 until 16 or earlier when you can get your first youth program professional contract. Eberechi was released after 5 years at Arsenal several players were considered better than him , Willock, Maitland, as well as the ubiquitous Nwakali here. Yes 👍🏿 Nwakali was retained and Eberechi Eze released. When you come into a club as paid for international award winning player. Your are given precedent over other players ( you cost money) and you will be favoured and other players put to one side. Your will be given the benefit of the doubt and given opportunity to prove your oustanding ability. If you're fail you will be released but if you are under contract you will stay until the contract period is terminated. Nwakali had a long contract and had ample opportunity to prove his assumed quality. On the other hand Eberechi went to near 10 clubs looking for opportunity, from Arsenal, to Fulham, to Reading, Cardiff, etc until Millwall and then finally at 16 he got into QPR, within 6 months he was in the first team . Eberechi was only U14 when he got released he cried like a baby and had keep going after continuous disappointments. Now tell me how Eberechi had more privilege than Nwakali ❓❓ |

it is what it is.. u sef join to put asterisks for he name.. e pain us sha. but life goes on.. harvest time is coming in our midfield department. what happened to our attack will happen to our midfield. Amen We had the chance to play Eberechi Eze years ago, he trained with the SE. He had not completely blown then and l felt his inclusion was not justified AT THAT TIME. However, within a season I noticed very impressive improvement and felt they needed to cap him asap but they did not. They invited the mediocre brothers the Nwakali instead. After three years of waiting for Nigeria he decided he wasn't wanted and played for England U21. The rest is history, Dude is now a baller and even Liverpool are looking at him. |

Curtisaxel10: My only problem with this U20 team is that they are grossly overage. For all we know, they could all be in their mid to late twenties i.e at their peak.
This means the boys have only two or three years max to perform optimally before nature takes its course and diminishing returns sets in.
For those celebrating that we have found fresh solutions to our SE problems, I would advise caution. It is not yet Uhuru. Those boys are not boys. Thank you. There is a lot of noise making and nonsensical arguments on age here. The reality is we are in a country where integrity is not considered an attribute, deceit and duplicitous behaviour rife. We don't have AUTOMATIC DATA CAPTURE AT BIRTH There is no way of substantiating anybody age born in Nigeria. You have to rely on individual integrity in country where there is none. Look at Ashley Young at 37 looks way younger if he was Nigerian he could play U20.
