charlesemeka85:Your CONSISTENT continuous and outstanding performances in your club and league are the basis for national team invitation. That is the only TEST required. You don't come to the SE to be tested you come to prove your ability that's ALREADY tested. Right now Ademola and Tella are the BEST forward wide men available to the SE right now END OF DISCUSSION no DEBATE. What's funny is that Southampton may get relegated and Burnley definitely Promoted. For one thing Tella will not return to the Championship and Burnley will sign him permanent. They really should have done it a lot earlier because for one there will be multiple clubs wanting to sign him in the EPL and Europe in general. When a player is performing he doesn't beg for club, club deh beg am. |
Hanibal:Without context Data is very limited in making inferences on quality and capacity. The KPI's you have presented are academic noise making without context. 1.work rate 2. Skill set 3. Pace 4. Technical ability 5. Physicality The measurements of all 5 KPI's will be seen in the context of the league you are playing. So a footballer with high stats in all of those KPI's in say the Turkish league may not get off the starting line in the EPL. And in this regards only someone with the most outstanding KPI's in the Turkish league may be considered average on arrival in EPL, or even very poor. The requirements of each league is different as well as difficultly to complete task's. In a less physical league with a lower work rate (intensity with or without the ball, running and chasing) You may have a player with a statistics of 10km in a match but it could lazy running without conviction and or intent. Then you could have a player with a lesser figure of 7 km of extreme intensity and determination and winning MENTALITY. That intensity may not necessarily be captured in the statistics of interceptions and tackles, but that intensity will change the trajectory of the match , cause errors and limit the options of the opposing side. These variables will not be caught in your statistics. What it takes to win a header in the EPL is not the same as it is in the French league one. Different levels of physicality and pace. The difficulty of putting a through ball with much more intelligent, faster and physically stronger defenders , will not be the same in Bundisliga as it is in the EPL. Again in general, before somebody talks about Haaland. Consider Timo Werner and his perspective in comparison to the Bundisliga,it's faster tougher and more physical. So now let's get to context again in relation to Nwakali a big part of the discussion on statistics. The Segundo division is very poor quality below the first 5/6 teams. Having this in mind whatever the statistics you gather they have to be seen in the poor level of the league. None of you here, would consider the statistics of any player in NPFL team as a yardstick for quality. Why then would you consider the very poor quality Segundo division and in this case a team at the bottom relegation zone, Ponferradina which is near bankrupt. This is not a comedic attempt to cast aspersion but I truly believe and if it were possible I would place a bet with my small 💷££ that Bendel insurance will flog Ponferradina FC ,with all seriousness. All the KPI's have to be seen and measured in the context of the league and the individual player. This is something that statistics cannot capture. In this regards that's why a club will send a scout to make a personal appraisal all things seen in context. That context is the league the player will potentially come to and the ethos of the club as well. Finally, l watched Sheffield Wednesday FC beat a full strength Newcastle United a League One club ( with several Nigerian players) Do you think any Segundo team can beat a EPL team, that's too much actually a Championship team and which one ❓in my opinion Sheffield Wednesday would flog Ponferradina FC. For context consider no EPL U21 Academy team can beat a league one team. However, Wolves U21 were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Villa Real B ( effectively the youth team) I watched Wolves U21 get flogged up close and personal by Liverpool FC U21 5-0. Stats must be seen in CONTEXT not in emotive assumption.

TheGoodJoe:Extreme Delusion |
charlesemeka85:What is it about Arsenal and preparing players for success. Tella Chuba Ejaria Eze The Nigerian ones I can remember, then again what happened to NWAKALI was he not learning ❓ |
charlesemeka85:Bruv don't know how he has done 👍🏿 it but he has. He has been a journey man footballer going nowhere fast since he left Arsenal Academy with so much promise. Gets to Middlesbrough after two seasons of anonymousness he has Blown 💥🤯💣🎆. Can he step up to the EPL and cut it , score goals yes but outstanding I really don't know. But as it stands in the HERE and NOW he is better than KC. |
jihday:First of all youth football ⚽ is essentially development football with players going through multiple ups and downs in their progression. There is NOTHING like a best player in youth football ⚽,it's highly inconsistent to make clear cut deductions Jerome Sinclair was the youngest player to play for Liverpool at 16. Before he was 18 , we had writing him off, he's been a journey man be since he left the academy and is almost finished at 25. Actually this is very common phenomenon, some players dominate until they get to 18 other players catch up and over take and he drops to the bottom of the group. I know players bought for £1 Millon pounds at 15 /16 released at 18 , sometimes earlier this is actually quite common occurrence. Best is never ever in an ⚽ football ⚽ a static deduction, best is a variable that changes with time, club, league, manager, team mates, etc , etc, that's why the definition of world 🌎 class is anchored on consistency, which is over time. This year's top striker can be next seasons flop, football is harsh and unforgiving. Dusan Vhlovic was at the top of Seria A, for two consecutive seasons now he is way below by comparison. And that is senior first team footballer not a youth footballer. It's obviously obvious you have no IDEA WHAT HAPPENS, stick to armchair analysis and medtua reports. |
maidaboi:When you come off the bench and perform you earn the right to play, whether from the bench and or the start. Actually most goals are scored in the second half of matches and statistically speaking 🗣️ you have a higher probability of scoring from the bench as opposed if you start. That was proven, KC started against Liverpool but was largely ineffective, Ademola comes on as he goes off. Ademola had immediate impact and within three minutes had scored the winning goal and got the MOTM award. Football is not a mathematical equation that if you start a game you will definitely score. |
Joebie:Vardy had been consistently CONSISTENT for a decade this is his first bad season in a decade , he has also had a few injuries and is still injured at 36 he is doing well. KC had been consistently poor over past 6 seasons having only one good season in 2020/21, where he scored 12 in n the EPL ,Vardy scored 15 that season ,he scored 15 the season before that. There had been no favouritism with Vardy just consistent continuous outstanding performance over a decade. So there is nothing like little patience.
|
jihday:Yes you absolutely can. Because football is a very short term career. As a recruitment head you will come across literally thousands of so called promising players. If they cannot show the promise, there is no time to waste you simply look for those that are showing it. If in the future he starts to show his promise, then you can go back to him. But your always looking forward not much backwards, this is the harsh reality of football ⚽. |
TheGoodJoe:I know you find this hard to believe. If statistics were the beginning and end of player assessment. There would be no need for a team of players and game analysts as well as video analysts. We would not be sending teams of scouts to watch players up close and personal. There would be no need to write up a player review. We would simply jump on one of the plethora of site's purporting to carry out players analysis and statistics. Clubs would on that basis alone buy the players they want. I know too many football club recruitment head's and officers, none of them look at stats alone. There are other things mentality, work rate, discipline, adaptability, culture, skill sets, technical ability, physicality, pace , resilience, etc , etc. When I talk about players with any depth 75% of the time it's players I've seen up close and personal. So I am giving you a first hand deduction and view, sometimes that view is augmented with talking to the coaching staff associated with the player. On the odd occasion I may speak 🗣️ with his agent as well. |
Truidstar:Saying it as it is, no frills however, bitter pill for many to swallow here. |
TheGoodJoe:I have given you several but your transfixed in your obsession with NWAKALI. It's sentiment not objective assessment. |
TheGoodJoe:Look in the mirror 🪞 it's staring right at you . |
TheGoodJoe:Yes you ABSOLUTELY are . |
charlesemeka85:I wonder 🤔 |
chrisooblog:This is my little experience a person with incredible MENTALITY will overcome a person with outstanding ability and talent with very low MENTALITY. |
TheGoodJoe:Your context or the core subject matter. You requested I name Midfielders who are better than Nwakali I didn't go to the EPL or the Championship but English league one. I named three Nigerian origin Midfield players, all in one Team in League one, Sheffield Wednesday and for context dropped a small clip to see some of them in action. If that is not contextual then you need to re-examine your question. |
TheGoodJoe:I watched the game live up close and personal. That's my statistic. What's yours ❓ |
RiceProducers:What's the point of your field glasses ( binoculars) when to don't have a basic optic sight on your assault rifle. You are using steel sights and hope you have an advantage. |
tutudesz:What mission ❓ I corrected a gaff it's not Jet plane but a turbo prop. Nobody is interested in their speed 🤣 maybe your not ,but the embattled soldiers on the ground are, waiting for air support because it's life and death for them . |
tutudesz:Please go and look at the meaning of the word success. Once you've have done that tell me what we success we want to celebrate. Please tell me so I can celebrate, is it the Boko Haram Abuja Train hijack with people carted away like cattle ❓ Or should we talk about the broad daylight Prison break at Kuje, 300 Boko Haram die hards freed to wreck havock.❓❓ Maybe it's the kidnapping and Killing of mid level Army officers right inside the NDA ❓❓❓ Do you know that there are parts of the North were governance is administered by bandits and Boko Haram, Iswap, etc ❓❓❓❓ Or let's pretend all is well and we are secured safe and sound and we have the best military in Africa. ![]() |
chrisooblog:You may dismiss me But in my little football experience it's not always talent and ability but MENTALITY that is the core component for success. Within mentality is humility, resilience, diligence, discipline, quest to improve and rise , overcome and overtake. That's what VO is he was very weak technically and his football ⚽ intelligence near zero at Wolfsburg. But he realised, l got a lot to learn, he humbled himself with a never say die determination, he improved ,he Learned, he adapted, he pushed himself, he was never content ,he wanted more and has ARISEN. There is no discussion about top strikers without his name in the mix. KC remained he has got to where he wanted beyond his wildest dreams. When he moved to Leicester he got £2.5 million in the bank 🏦 imagine what exchange rate then it was £1 to 250 Naira ( land and houses werva lot cheaper cement too) He was content football ⚽ became a pass time without any passion to RISE and make a name he has made the £££ ,nuttin remain, I have Arrived. Isaac Success the waste Man was even worse big money enter hand ,brain scatter he even became over weight. Fighting 3 olosho in a 5 star hotel ,drunk and refusing to pay for services rendered. Kelechi in a nutshell is a guy who began to celebrate before the goal was in the net . Living the lifestyle without actually being successful. He didn't improve he believed the hype his own and many who have hailed him here , Midfield maestro numero one, inside bottom of Segundo division. He has had too much opportunity but nothing to show. |
Kog45:The acceptance of failure is the beginning of SUCCESS, it enables you to constructively criticise ones performance. Then make adjustments and remedies and therefore improve. Relying on past glories and blaming everyone else for your failings will keep you in a failed state without progression. The worst thing you can do to a Footballer is to hype him and wash and sweep under the carpet his handicaps and failings. It's better to be harsh , driven, diligent and focused on improvement than assuming you have arrived . Many players didn't make it for a multiplicity of reasons including believing their own hype. Go to Antwerp and you will see former footballers who came to Belgium with big dreams washing cars . Football is about opportunity and what you do with it. Nwakali has had way too many opportunities and done little or NOTHING with it. He was at Arsenal when Saka, Emil and Nketiah were 12/13/14 . He didn't take the opportunity to improve, get focused, diligent, be mentally resilient, disciplined, adapt and LEARN. He is not alone, l know too many players who didn't make it but had an abundant of talent but lacked the discipline and focus to improve and drive themselves to success. The mentality of V.O. is far different than Nwakali, it was easier for VO to have accepted defeat at Wolfsburg. But the acceptance of failure at Wolfsburg created a drive, diligence, commitment and humility to LEARN and IMPROVE. He dropped to a lower league put his head down reinvented himself with learning, understanding and focused diligence to LEARN adapt and improve, the rest is history. The core difference here is mentality. In many regards Nwakali had a better opportunity in Arsenal but he didn't improve he thought he had arrived maybe and got complacent and left behind. This is the story of football it's not unique to him. |
Napoleon55:Can you stop being delusional it seems you view is very limited and parachoial. Imagine comparing NWAKALI To Pirlo, are your in this world 🌎 or another One ![]() Please expand your understanding, you are operating an obsolete operating system essentially you are using DOS that expired in 1994 we are now on Windows 11+. Please download a new operating system, you are obsolete and out of touch. Long ball is not a special skill, it is a basic skill please. And if you don't know that. Go and watch English league two and below and your will see continuous long ball. In most EPL Academies at 14 doing a 30 yard pass is a basic requirement, we call it pinging the ball and it has to be pin point accurate. I know boys who could do that at 11/12 the exceptional ones. At 15/16 there are many particularly Midfielders and defenders who can do it with both feet. Unfortunately Nwakali didn't get far with his unique skill in Arsenal , Maastricht in Eerste division Dutch second tier and lasted only 9 games and 300.minutes in the Eredivise before he was sent out. He couldn't get a place in the Porto B, and now he has gone to the bottom of pot in relegation zone of the Segundo division and you are comparing him to Pirlo. Check yourself something deh do you . |
Danielnino00:With regards to the bold self deception is the worst kind of deception. First question who has been there the oldest ❓ Daka has played the same amount of games as KC this season and they are both poor as forward players with too few goals to be called quality. Perez is gone to Real Betis he is also winger so the comparison is not relevant. Nonetheless, he has been abysmal and poor after £30 million transfer. He has gone to Real Betis and is already getting games he was essentially bench warmer and brought in for Cup games for most of his time at Liecester City. Diabata played his last game for Leicester in 2019 and was sold in 2020. Is he relevant to this discussion, he not an out an out striker ![]() |
TheGoodJoe:First of all you are making the very basic skill set of "long ball" distribution as some high level unattainable skill set. In reality it's a basic skill set not an outstanding exceptional one, players who have a far better array of skill sets resort it to it now and again not continuously. We have not descended to the leve of playing police game. In this regard any Nigerian midfield player that is playing in the EPL, Championship and League one are better options than him . Any Nigerian Midfielder playing in the top 10 leagues of Europe is a better option. Consider that one of our best Midfielders in recent times Etebo plays in the Greek Super league and thats rated 20 in Europe. The Segundo is very very low standard to use the term quality is an over statement, with regards to the Segundo division. For a direct example I would say all the midfielders in Sheffield Wednesday in league one are better than him. For example ; Adeshina Bakinson Fisayo Dele-Bashiru Dennis Adeniran What's remarkable but not to me Fisayo is wanted by several EPL teams with AC Milan, PSV expressing an interest among other across Europe. I watched him play for Manchester City against Liverpool FC U21 and he was the outstanding player not Harvey Elliott. For context a little clip.
|
Danielnino00:You mean out of the EPL that is not in dispute. |
Toju200:You want to praise sing and live in a make believe world. I will not burst your bubble. It's ok let's continue looking at pictures of armed forces personal posturing and us pretending they are highly competent and professional, best in Africa. |
bidexiii:You should get the facts right , the bold is incorrect. It's a Turbo prop with a top speed less than a WW2 spitfire. |
rugged7:I think the latter |
bidexiii:How many MBT's does Boko ,Iswap have ❓ |
slimthugchimee2:What are your neutral and independent sources please ❓ |
