Foreign AffairsRe: King Charles Appoints Keir Starmer As UK Prime Minister (photos) by Konquest:

🤝 The King received in Audience The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP today and requested him to form a new Administration.

Sir Keir accepted His Majesty's offer and was appointed Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.
That's a stellar resume of the new British PM right BELOW. It remains to be seen if Rodney Starmer and his team can marshall the required thrust to bring about rapid economic and social changes in the UK. Most important of all is to activate and maintain a ROBUST foreign policy to influence a rapid end to the Russian-Ukraine War which has led to an spike in global hyperinflation. In reality, instead of Russia to be affected by sanctions, the rest of the Europe and the United States for instance have been hit indirectly by those sanctions far more than Russia was ever affected. So, the new British PM must stay on track.

Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB, KC born 2 September 1962) is a British politician and is the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and has served as Leader of the Labour Party since 2020. He has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Holborn and St Pancras since 2015, and previously served as Leader of the Opposition from 2020 to 2024 and as Director of Public Prosecutions from 2008 to 2013

Website: keirstarmer.com
Born in London and raised in Surrey, Starmer attended the selective state Reigate Grammar School which became a private school while he was a student. He was politically active from an early age and joined the Labour Party Young Socialists at the age of 16. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Leeds in 1985 and gained a postgraduate Bachelor of Civil Law degree at St Edmund Hall at the University of Oxford in 1986. After being called to the bar, Starmer practised predominantly in criminal defence work, specialising in human rights. He served as a human rights adviser to the Northern Ireland Policing Board and was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 2002, later citing his work on policing in Northern Ireland as being a key influence on his decision to pursue a political career. During his time as Director of Public Prosecutions, he dealt with a number of major cases including the Stephen Lawrence murder case. He was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) in the 2014 New Year Honours for services to law and criminal justice.

Starmer was elected to the House of Commons at the 2015 general election. As a backbencher, he supported the unsuccessful Britain Stronger in Europe campaign in the 2016 European Union membership referendum. He was appointed Shadow Minister for Immigration by Jeremy Corbyn but resigned from this role in June 2016 as part of the wider shadow cabinet resignations in protest of Corbyn's leadership. Accepting a new post under Corbyn that year as Shadow Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, Starmer advocated a proposed second referendum on Brexit. Following Corbyn's resignation after Labour's defeat at the 2019 general election, Starmer succeeded him as party leader by winning the 2020 leadership election on a left-wing platform.

As the Labour leader, Starmer has repositioned the party away from the left and toward the political centre. He has emphasised the importance of eliminating antisemitism within the party, a controversial issue during Corbyn's leadership. His supporters have praised him for his antisemitism reforms and for helping to improve Labour's credibility with the electorate in the aftermath of the previous leadership, while his critics have accused him of unfairly treating leftist Labour members.

In 2023, Starmer set out five missions for his government, targeting issues such as economic growth, health, clean energy, crime and education. On 5 July 2024, Starmer led Labour to a landslide victory in the 2024 general election, ending fourteen years of Conservative rule. This landslide victory was similar to the one achieved by Tony Blair at the 1997 general election, the last time a Labour opposition ousted a Conservative government. He succeeded Sunak as prime minister later that day.

WriterNig:
🇷🇺 Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un went for a spin in an Aurus limousine on Wednesday, taking turns at the wheel of the Russian-built bomb and bullet proof limousine.

Video released by Russian state television showed Putin jumping behind the wheel of the Aurus, the model of his official presidential car back home in Russia.

Kim was seen grinning in the passenger seat while they drove around a park with the two men then swapping seats.

One of Putin’s aides said earlier on Wednesday that the Russian leader had presented Kim with an Aurus as a gift.

It would be his second Russia-made limousine, with the first one already been used as his personal vehicle in his motorcade.

North Korea’s state media reported in March that Kim had taken his first ride in an Aurus after Putin gave him one of the cars in February.

PropertiesRe: ‘many Structures Will Go Down’, Lagos Blows Hot Over Flood by Konquest: 10:22am On Jul 04, 2024
dre11:
Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, on Wednesday, vowed that many structures obstructing the free flow of rain water will be removed.

He said those structures would be removed “irrespective of who or highly placed the owners are.”

Wahab spoke in the wake of the ravaging flood which submerged many houses, communities and properties in Lagos.

Some of the affected areas include Epe, Eredo, Bogije, Labora, Abijon, Sangotedo, Awoyaya and Ibeju-Lekki.

A primary six pupil simply identified as Joshua was swept away by flood in Ikosi, Ketu area of Lagos State.

Daily Trust reports that some miscreants also took advantage of the crisis as they charged passers-by N100 to access a makeshift bridge at the Tradefair under-bridge in Lagos.

The commissioner, however, unleashed his anger on a post on social media asking him to explain if “the Igbo-owned property and business demolition we witnessed in Lagos 2023, was all politically engineered?”

@PureStanley1 posted that “Can we all now agree that the Igbo owned property and business demolition we witnessed in Lagos 2023, was all politically engineered? and we were told that some of the buildings were built on canals, thereby blocking the flow of water and causing flooding in Lagos.

@tokunbo_wahab can u explain to us why there was a flood in Lagos again yesterday and the early hours of today, after going on demolition spree on IGBOS owned properties?

“Take the Microphone sir, we await ur response!.”

But Wahab fired back and accused the social media user of pushing ethnic narrative.

“Many more structures obstructing the free flow of rain water in Lagos will still be removed irrespective of who or highly placed the owners are. Prepare your mind to make your usual aimless and empty noise. If turning it to ethnic narrative makes you happy, go ahead! TW,” he posted.

Even if you are not, I read your posts and ooooo lord! You are like a walking-talking research journal..fount of knowledge especially about yoruba history. For me to contribute meaningfully to your discourse, I'll need to first go for informal education at the feet of our elders, then maybe do a doctorate before I engage.😀

J'adore!😍
Hey @Shaybebaby, it's my pleasure to have given you some unique insights. You're absolutely correct about the bolded, "humor is indeed subjective."

I didn't realize you were awake when you made this post slightly over an hour ago. I was incidentally online at that time as well and would have replied you earlier. You seem to be an intentional travel buff as well. I'll bet you've at least been to the nearby France, Netherlands, and Spain [Majorca (otherwise called Mallorca), Ibiza, Manorca and other Mediterranean island holiday spots in Spain].

Indeed, you're right about my love for leisure travel as it expands your worldview in real-time. Back in the day, I fortunate grew up in a family where my dad bought several volumes of encyclopedias for our home library, so, I was pretty much exposed to reading about global history and world cultures before the age of 5 (long before the Internet became pervasive for public use from 1994). Thinking back, I have my father to thank for my foundational interest in exploring the world through reading and my internationalist outlook to life, while not forgetting my roots. "It's a FACT that what a person becomes in life is a TOTAL function of the things he or she did while growing up."

Ah! That'll be mad cool. Just give me your feedback like you said you would on that Seychelles thread when you're ready.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

President Joe Biden has to act as a TRUE statesman now and step down from the Presidential race after his first term because the United States of America is bigger than him. If he does that, he would be transported into the league of great statesmen who have walked the face of this earth. It's NOT his fault that he's dealing with age-related memory challenges. The outcome of the Presidential debate organized by CNN shook me tbh. I felt a bit embarrassed but also felt empathy for the POTUS. As of now, in the absence of any advanced modern medical technologies in the field of stem cell therapy to make Joe Biden have improved OR proper cognitive function, then he has to bow out of the 2024 U.S. Presidential race. Period.

Robust U.S. Presidential debates are going to be needed in the period leading right up to the elections. The Dems MUST look for an eloquent replacement for Joe Biden in either Kamala Harris or some other Dems top guns. VP Kamala Harris is top on my list since she's a lawyer and attorney and she'll bring in some of the well-known feminine energy to engage, negotiate and douse the tensions and war in Ukraine which we know has led to global hyperinflation. I want to see Russia become a friend of the United States and the rest of Europe again. Fighting Russia is actually pushing Vladimir Putin to militarily and economically associate his administration with the rogue states such as North Korea and Iran. Enough of the wars. The Middle East also needs a respite after the insurgents have been dealt with once and for all.

DevilsEqual:
I didnt read beyond your first line. How can there be more igbo wives in Yoruba homes than Yoruba wives

My comparison is between Igbo women and women from other tribes, not Hausa and Yoruba inclusive

Yorubas marry Yorubas more. the population of Yoruba men marrying Igbo women is far less than the population of Yoruba men married to their fellow Yoruba women. Now, we dont really marry the Hausas for obvious reasons

Again, using factual cases like the issue of Presidents and Govs from SW, Its obvious that its really about Yoruba men marrying more from other tribes than any other men

Igbo women are more than calabar,Benin and co, so you dont expect to see more inter-tribal marriage between Yoruba and Efik than you would see between Yoruba and Igbo

I'm surprised u couldnt deduce this from my comment

Na wa o
First off, your analyses about Yoruba men marrying "more" of Ibo women than women of other ethnicities is NOT accurate. I also have to debunk the asinine assumptions of a few unintelligent posters of South-Eastern Nigeria Ibo origin on page 1 that Yoruba men are rushing to get married to Ibo women. This is a deluded and highly MISLEADING conclusion as Yoruba men PREFER their own women over others outside their CULTURAL space based on my readings and observations of the social space for many decades now. It's the same thing all over the world where people from specific "races" and ethnicities PREFER to get married to those who are ethnically and culturally similar to them. A lot of White men and women in the U.S. and Canada usually prefer to get married to their own kind based on actual surveys that have been conducted in the past.

Second, based on the Change of Names (by mainly young women and men) published in the classified adverts sections of Nigerian newspapers that I first observed out of curiosity back in the 1990s, ONLY about 9 in 10 Yoruba men [slightly over 90 percent of Yoruba men] marry women from Yorubaland and the remaining 1 in 10 [10 percentage marry MAJORLY from Edo and Delta States [namely Bini, Esan, Etsako, Urhobo, Itsekiri, the liberal Ika/Agbor; Ndokwa/Ukwuani; Aniocha and Oshimili areas all in Delta North (Anioma)]. Yoruba men living in the urban areas such as Lagos, Ibadan, Calabar, Port Harcourt in the South of South states also have a large pool of women of Ibibio, Efik, Annang, Ejagbams, Rivers indigenes, and Ijaws to get date and get married to. Indeed just like YOU posted, It's very obvious that Yoruba men are married to MORE women outside their ethnic group than Nigerian men from other ethnic groups.

For Yoruba men who are Muslims, they are able to penetrate the majority Muslim areas of the North-Central, North-West and North-East of Nigeria and get married to their women be they Ibira, Igala, Nupes, Hausa, Kanuri, etc.

Just late last year, I read about the Nigerian Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South who said TWO of his daughters are married to TWO Yoruba men who are indigenes of Lagos State! The Oluwo of Iwo Kingdom (Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi) is married to a Fulani woman from Kano (but her mother is said to be from Ilorin) who is the Olori or Queen. The Oba of Ikateland (Ikate Kingdom) in Lagos State, Oba Saheed Elegushi also got married to Olori Hadiza Tanko-Yakasai as his second wife who is an indigene Kano State. Although the Tanko Yakasai family are originally of Jukun paternal descent from Taraba area back in the day, but they have become naturalized Kano indigenes. This practice of naturalization by other ethnic groups besides the indigenous Hausas of Kano is very common in Kano State.

=>https://www.nairaland.com/5168612/oba-saheed-elegushi-marries-hadiza/2

Another major percentage out of the remaining 10 percent of Yoruba men who get married to non-Yoruba women are the millions of Yoruba men in the Diaspora who are also getting married to Americans, British, Germans, French, Ivorians, Turkish, Ghanain, Carribean, etc, women wherever they are based. A lot of Yoruba Diasporans also get married to Yoruba women who live in the Diaspora as well.

Hope this helps.
PoliticsRe: Stop Using My Name, Ex-Husband, Alison-Madueke Warns Diezani by Konquest: 1:44am On Jul 03, 2024
Pogba12:
Rear Admiral Alison Amaechina Madueke has petitioned the court for an injunction restraining his ex-wife, Diezani Alison-Madueke, from using his first name (Alison) and surname.

Rear Admiral Alison Amaechina Madueke has petitioned the court for an injunction restraining his ex-wife, Diezani Alison-Madueke, from using his first name (Alison) and surname (Madueke) following the dissolution of their marriage.

He prayed the court grants an order directing the respondent (Diezani) to adopt and revert to her pre-marital surname (Agama) and issue publications in newspapers of national circulation in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom of a notice of her discontinuation of the use of the petitioner’s first name and surname.

The petition, in the high court of Lagos, suit no LD/15144HD/2024, sought that the ex-wife desist from using the petitioner’s name, which poses a significant risk of legal and financial harm to the petitioner as the respondent faces criminal trials in Nigeria and UK.

The petition stated that they stopped living together in May 2015 after her ministerial appointment and in November 2021, citing irretrievable breakdown of marriage, Diezani filed a petition for dissolution of marriage (Suit No. NSD/MG345/2021) at the High Court of Nassarawa State, Nassarawa Judicial Division, sitting at Mararaba Gurku and on April 13, 2022, Judgment was delivered in Suit No. NSD/MG345/2021 by Hon. Justice A.A. Ozegya, dissolving the marriage between the Petitioner and the Respondent on the ground that the marriage has broken down irretrievably.

The retired naval officer in his petition, stated that the respondent faces public allegations of corruption and financial misconduct, for which trials are ongoing for both.

The persistent portrayal of the respondent as the spouse of the petitioner is creating embarrassment, a misleading impression and tarnishing the reputation, integrity, and public image of the petitioner.

Even though the marriage has been dissolved and is now legally finalized, the respondent, more than two years later, continues to use the Petitioner’s first name (Alison) and surname (Madueke) as her own without any justification or consent from the Petitioner, which falsely suggests to the public continuing relationship between the parties though same has since legally ended.

According to the statement, the petitioner instructed his solicitors to address a letter to the respondent, requesting her to cease the ongoing use of his first name and surname.

Messrs Foundation Chambers sent a formal letter, dated 14th December 2023 urging the Respondent to revert to her pre-marital name (Diezani Kogbeni Agama) following the legal dissolution of the marriage.

Nigerians abroad, PLEASE kindly help your fellow Nigerians back home. The situation in the country right now is so bad that the majority of Nigerians cannot even afford one square meal. I'm not talking about a proper square meal. I'm talking about anything to hold their stomach, they can't afford.

Parents are becoming suicidal and children are dying already.

If you watch the woman in this video, you will understand what most Nigerians are going through including myself.

Yesterday, I ate food that even the dogs of some people cannot eat. Dogs of the rich now eat better food than some Nigerians.

Please and please again, I know it's not easy anywhere but it's really bad back in Nigeria. Help Nigerians whether you know the person personally or not. We are dying. Hunger is killing us. Families are selling kids to feed others. Most of us didn't vote for Tinubu, but here we find ourselves.

Watch this woman and see the frustration in the land.

Remain blessed as you extend your hand of help to hungry Nigerians back home. It's not what we bargain for. We just found ourselves here.
These lame curses from the lady in that video are highly irresponsible. Her curses and insults targeted at Tinubu's children and entire lineage put me off and this would make any discerning person who believes in personal decorum to NOT want to help her tbh. Why lay verbal curses on Tinubu's children and his entire lineage while also saying repeatedly that his entire lineage will perish? Anger has a way of shutting down some people's thinking faculties while also making them to feel terribly entitled tbh. This is what you get when some people don't have basic to advanced financial education. The State Governors also have a BIGGER role to play (far more than the Federal Government) in ensuring that food security in their various states and regions exist while ensuring that cheaper fuels such as CNG for cars and food trucks are made readily available for cheaper transportation after the fuel subsidy removal but they have been pussyfooting.

Everybody who followed realtime news coming out of Nigeria knew that that subsidy had to go after many years of enjoying cheaper or subsidized fuel BELOW the cost price and that there would be some hardship in Nigeria until CNG fuel stations (NNPC and NIPCO CNG fuel stations) and Dangote Petrochemical Refinery all come on stream to provide cheaper fuels and boost FX supplies.

Further decentralization of Nigeria is needed ASAP so that people would further realize that TRUE governance that affects people's daily lives occurs at the local or state levels and NOT at the Federal level. All the State Governors across political party lines are just not doing enough with regards to local security provisions, food security for their citizens. It's not just enough to shift all the blame on Tinubu from what I have observed over the years.

HeatSeeker:
Toyota Nigeria Limited has announced plans to roll out three electric vehicles in the country in the next three years as part of its support for the government’s green deal initiative.

Managing Director of TNL, Mr. Kunle Ade-Ojo, disclosed this on Friday while speaking with journalists at the maiden edition of the Toyota Motor Show organised by the TNL.

He gave the Toyota hybrid electric vehicles coming to Nigeria soon as the Toyota Cross, RAV4 and Land Cruiser Prado.

Ade-Ojo said, “By the end of this year, we’ll be introducing our first hybrid electric vehicle, Toyota Cross. Next year, we’ll introduce the RAV4 hybrid. And late next year or early 2026, we would be bringing in the Land Cruiser Prado hybrid,” he stated.

He also said TNL would be lending its big network of workshops to support the Federal Government’s campaign for the use of Compressed Natural Gas-powered vehicles through conversion.

“We are almost concluding arrangements with different partners to use our network of workshops for vehicle conversion to CNG-powered,” he said.

The TNL MD recalled that Nigeria sold about 10,000 new vehicles last year, with Toyota recording about 1,500 units.

He said that about 15,000 new vehicles were projected to be sold in Nigeria this year, adding that Toyota was on course to double its last year’s performance.

The exclusive motor show came with a number of activities such as a vehicle display, two new Toyota product launches, special after-sale packages, test drives, and, engaging interactions.

The three-day event (June 27-29) was held in Lekki, under a setting and ambiance akin to international auto fairs in Europe and America.

The cozy roomy space also accommodated the Body and Paint Section, the Spare Parts cubicle and the Service area.

Outside the hall but within the event centre fully decorated for the Toyota show was an international test-drive arena for customers willing to have a feel of any of the cars.

Apart from the TNL MD Ade-Ojo, other executives of TNL were on the ground giving details of each of the vehicles displayed as well as after-sales advisory.

Ade-Ojo personally took corporate customers including top government officials, influential chief executive officers of major companies on a tour of the different sections.

Speaking with journalists earlier, he said, “This show is for all Toyota customers and other Nigerians interested in buying Toyota vehicles.

“While we’re still participating in other shows, this solo Toyota Motor Show will enable us to concentrate on our customers’ needs, giving them a view of our range of vehicles and letting them to know other things we can do for them in terms of after-sale service, spare parts availability and body and paint as well as other value-adding services.”

The show, he said, afforded the TNL team an opportunity to “have one-on-one interaction with our customers without any distraction; free diagnosis on customers’ vehicles and a test drive, all taking place in a quiet and comfortable environment.”

Ade-Ojo who also had a parley with the CEOs expressed satisfaction with the attendance and the outcome of the event.

He said, “It was a wonderful outing. Everybody enjoyed the ability to come and have a one-on-one interaction with our team.

“The after-sale area is one sector that has been of major interest to customers who have been coming. The free diagnosis has been well received.” The two models unveiled at the show are Belta and Rumion.

That's impressive. CNG, the regular PMS-based ICE, and electric vehicles should form the major mix for Emerging economies for now till PMS and diesel are finally ditched for more green fuel cars and trucks.

BusinessRe: Ex-konga CEO, Imudia Did Not Commit Suicide — Family by Konquest: 7:15pm On Jul 01, 2024
HeatSeeker:
The family of the late former Chief Executive of e-commerce giant, Konga, Nick Imudia has debunked reports that the Group CEO of D.light International committed suicide.

It said that investigations were still ongoing on the cause of his death as suicide had been ruled out.

Refuting news reports that Imudia had called his brother and daughter with instructions before his death, the family, in a statement signed by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, said reportage of the news of the one-time Konga CEO’s death whilst the family was in the hospital trying to resuscitate him was suspicious.

They said: “The family of Nick Imudia is unhappy with the unprofessional manner the media has wrongly characterised the reporting of Nick Imudia’s death as suicide. This is also supported by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office that has vowed to investigate the sudden death of Nick. Neither did Nick call his brother in America with instructions on how to distribute his wealth, nor placed a call to his daughter with any instructions.

“How come the news was reported so hastilly (less than 3 hours from his death) before his family members even knew about it – and the medical team was still trying to resuscitate him at the hospital! The Imudia family wonders!”

Stating that the former Konga CEO comes from a close-knit family where support abounds, the family added, “Nick never showed any sign of stress and he was not diagnosed as depressed at any point. The thought of suicide in the manner portrayed and hastily reported by the news media is suspect.

“Nick Imudia, until his death was the Group CEO of D.light International with Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where he was residing. He managed the company’s worldwide operations from Nairobi. Nick was full of life and people that worked closely with him or met him in the last hours prior to the incident surrounding his death were shocked with the media attributing his death to ‘suicide’.

“He was on a short visit to Lagos after a brief trip to the Netherlands and was to return to Nairobi a day after his sudden death. Nick made his initial career mark with Nokia, the Finnish based Telecommunication Company before he was transferred from Helsinki to manage Nokia Asia operations in Singapore.

“Later in his career with Nokia, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Nokia – West and Central Africa. When Microsoft bought Nokia, he opted to leave the company. Looking for a new challenge, he became the CEO of Konga Nigeria where he reengineered the company’s operation.

“At his prime age and the level of his achievements, people who knew Nick well are all shocked and do not accept the characterization of his death as suicide. Members of Nick’s family do request the media and the general public to allow them to grief their loved one without any unfounded rumour of the circumstances surrounding his death.”

PoliticsRe: Northerners In Tinubu’s Govt Reduced To Choristers – Salihu Lukman by Konquest:
nlfpmod:
A former National Vice Chairman, North-west of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Salihu Lukman, has berated Northern politicians in the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.

Lukman, who recently resigned from APC, said politicians from the north have been reduced to members of a “choir group poorly singing ‘on your mandate we stand’ irrespective of the shaky and staggering reality being demonstrated by the mandate holder.”

He said the opportunity for Northern political leaders to redeem themselves and return the North back to rational order with committed leaders capable of responding to the challenges of the region was blown away during the tenure of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement he personally signed, titled, ‘Explosive North: Open Letter to Northern Politicians’, he said political leaders in the country must be cautioned that things were about to get out of hand any moment from now especially in the North and if care is not taken, hungry people who are everywhere in the region will start breaking into homes and looting properties of innocent citizens.

The statement said: “So far, one year has pass into President Asiwaju Tinubu administration. No doubt, Northern political leaders are becoming weaker and more disorganised. Even the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima GCON, who is the highest office holder and by virtue of that should have served as the needed rallying point for Northern politicians, is anything but a political leader.

“With every respect, hardly any official of the current administration of President Asiwaju Tinubu from the North, including Sen. Shettima, is willing and able to take the needed risk to defend the interest of the North. Painfully, what is emerging is that most leaders from the North are more concern about self-preservation in the government.

“Because of self-preservation, already scheming for 2027 has commenced. Within the Presidency there are indicative cold war dynamics and positioning, which is alleged to be responsible for the praise-singing disposition of Vice President Shettima. The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mal. Nuhu Ribadu has devalued an exalted office almost to the status of a Protocol Office to President Asiwaju Tinubu.

“Virtually all other Northern politicians holding offices in this government, including the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume are absentee public servants who have been reduced to members of a choir group poorly singing ‘on your mandate we stand’ irrespective of the shaky and staggering reality being demonstrated by the mandate holder with reference to poor service delivery and crashing living conditions in the last one year.”

I can ONLY agree with paragraphs 4 and 8.

There's a sense of urgency that requires emotional intelligence through active listening to people, paying rapt attention, communication, and taking results-based actions! Femi Gbaja has to step up his game as the Chief-of-Staff and further impress the goings on in Nigeria on the current Nigerian President, Vice-President (and the Governors) about the sense of urgency in deploying NNPC CNG fuel stations to all the regions in Nigeria. Lagos State already has an NNPC CNG refill station since the launch on May 30, 2024 as seen in articles and NNPC videos online. Satisfied car and truck drivers are already purchasing CNG at the rate of N200 per standard cubic ft which is very cheap as long as you have a dual PMS/CNG vehicle or a dual diesel/CNG vehicle.
In the light of the new December 2024 date for the PH, Kaduna, and Warri refineries to start production, it's important to ROBUSTLY focus on rapidly deploying CNG to massively lower the high costs of transportation of people and haulage of foodstuffs and other goods which have primarily earlier led to spikes in inflation and high costs of foods and drugs.

Dangote Petrochemical Refinery has fixed a new date of 17 July, 2024 for the production and distribution of PMS to commence, so, that should bring in massive relief in the drop of the cost of production and living, but CNG offers even GREATER benefits than PMS because it's a much cleaner fuel that reduces the constant visits to the mechanics by making the car engines to last longer and it's way CHEAPER! Dangote Petrochemical Refinery can then sell the excess refined crude oil products abroad to earn FX into the CBN coffers thereby boosting the economy. This is not rocket science, and shouldn't lead to pussyfooting, unless there is a larger sabotage to stage a military coup or destabilization of Nigeria by fifth columnists.

There must also be simply-worded weekly YouTube feedbacks from the Presidency and even all the Governors on what they are doing to minimize restiveness. Former President Barack Obama did that using YouTube videos which went viral when he was the President of the United States and was able to connect with American folks. I get a sense that some positive things are happening behind the scenes in Nigeria that would lead to medium to long-term economic growth but folks on the street level who are hungry and have been hit by hyperinflation are NOT being given regular time frames and updates on what is going on. Nobody likes being kept in the dark over anything as it leads to anger and restiveness. Period.

Some lots are already denying their root just to incite others towards violence. They want chaos but being cowards, a trait they project on others in dumb attempt at wit, they continue clamouring for others to start it in these other people's domains so as to unleash their hatred-induced destructive tendency on the said areas. They have failed and by God's infinite mercy, they will never succeed.
