My Uncle told me being married is like playing a traditional masquerade. Where the wife is the masquerade and the husband is the one holding the rope tied to the masquerade. You have to prevent the masquerade from hurting others and also prevent the masquerade from hurting you. Whatever you do with your wife, just know that times will come when you will be hurt. That being said, carry on with your married life, for it is same in all marriages. |
Sister, it is WRONG for you to have a boyfriend, least of all complain about breaking up. Be productive to yourself and your family by studying or learning business or handwork. If a man approaches you again, tell him to go and meet your parents or guardians. That's how you know serious guys. There is no point DATING a guy that is not ready to MARRY you! Be wise! |
Blind cannot lead the blind! Most unfortunate, neither of them had experience before marriage. The best solution- OP should go out, learn, practice and come back home and execute what he learned on his wife. |
From the comments on this thread, its obvious most of the commentators are not married. My advice. Marry first before you judge others who have challenges in their marriage. |
Just Google it na! ayoolanr: |
After voting the herdsmen in, they now complain! Mtewwww |
Na wa o! It's like going to a restaurant and someone asking you not to buy food! Wetin you come do for Facebook in the first place? Is it not to socialise? So how do you do that without putting up this needed information. On some platforms you dont join if you don't give adequate information about yourself. |
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah1:18 |
Guy go find chicken chop, leave mumu talk for another day! Akosxxx: |
That's what happens when you vote an illiterate as President! Under GEJ, the Prophet was given his human rights, "innocent till proven guilty ",but under this government it's the other way around. You are treated like a CRIMINAL, until you are proven innocent! Hence the handcuffs and unlawful detention! |
Tomorrow someone will get up and ask God, "why me". You no go use your head now! |
JUDAS Betrayed JESUS with a KISS! A good enough reason not to kiss, cos you don't know if you are being betrayed! |
Dem tell una to vote PDP, una no gree na, Fashola tried and was punished for going against Jagaban, Ambode is a stooge 100% and this is what Jagaban has for Lagosians as dem don fall him hand for Federal level. |
Funny it took Buhari 4 months to appoint nominees, but now they shout when Saraki wants to take time to screen them, na wa o! |
@op please what's your definition of a "broken home"? I just want you to remember that a polygamous family is also a broken home, and most Nigerians are from polygamous families. So my advice is, you should forget the type of family and concentrate on the character of the person you want to marry! |
He is just the waste pipe, the Dullard chose to show that the appointments were not all North! I'm sure Tinubu and the SW now feel the taste of their own medicine of betrayal they gave to GEJ ! |
The guy na mugu, him for take off as the soldier bend to pick something na! |
I tot this was a joke! Na wa o, we still have traditions like this in Nigeria? This is an embarrassment to the people of Ife and Yorubas at large. |
The answer is 6. my son in primary 6 can solve this na wah o |
Only a DULLARD will meet the VP of Nigeria and not take a photo WITH him! I don't believe jo. |
The problem with Nigeria, you guys adopt foreign culture blindly. Our culture, both traditional and Islam allows the man to have 4 wives for Muslims and as much as you can take care of for the traditionalists. So how do you expect these men to Marry without dating?. I'm a christian, with one wife, but there should be, tolerance for others. Besides, most of us here, I'm sure are from polygamous homes. |
The difference between Obamas mistake and Buharis mistake ,is that one is educated and has a certificate to show for it while one doesn't have . |
Happy new month and welcome to the second half of the year to all Nairalanders! God has seen us halfway through a wonderful 2015, which the world predicted, our beloved Naija would be in war due to our elections. Please put in your wishes for our country and Nairaland as we proceed through the second half of the year! |
One word for the wise. If you can take a picture in a hotel bathroom or bedroom and show it to your BF/GF, then it's ok. But if you can't show it to them, den something is wrong. We can't help it. Every society judges it's occupants, lame as it might sound, in Nigeria, even if you go to fellowship in a hotel, you will be called names! |
sevule:. Obviously you are talking from a church counsel experience. Believe me even if you do your marriage a 1000 times you are still you and your wife is still a different human being. Forget that story of 2 become 1. And weather you pretend or not everyone has something you wouldn't like your spouse to know about you. The most important thing is you have a happy and lifetime lasting marriage. So keep things away from your spouse that might cause problems! |
It is not HEALTHY to your marriage to give access of your phones to your spouse. A human is entitled to a level of privacy in life. Example , if you have a stalker and he gets your number and starts sending you love messages and your husband sees it, how do you curb the jealousy that will rise in him, even if he knows you are not having anything with the guy. The truth is every woman has admirers that will still chase you even if you are married and in some cases its same with men, especially their ex girlfriends. Opening up your phones so your spouse can see all those things is not healthy for your marriage . You keep explaining everyday and how long will he/she belive you don't have nothing with the person? |
Please don't listen to all these guys calling you mugu and all other stuff. Na some of dem go rush drink poison first if their BF/GF leave them! Don't feel bad! It's normal, EVERYONE is or has been in love one time or the other. Since you are not married, you can't say she's CHEATING on you, cause the other guy can say the same too. If you love her, hustle for her love! Remember, a woman is like a cloth in the marketplace ,no be who first price am dey get am. I wish you good luck in your hustle. If you win, and finally marry her, it will be a nice story of perseverance to tell your freinds and family. |
I now understand why a state like Lagos can be controlled by the likes of Tinubu. Honestly Lagosians fear too much! Try this in PH and the next day a counter gang will be looking for every one of you, with their own guns! Abi na only one person sabi carry gun? . No wonder Fela say soldier go slap una face, una no dey talk. Lols |

SleekyP:Op, next time don't join wife with girlfriend, when posting such, cos they are very different! Believe me,im talking from a married man's perspective. This your post should be for girlfriends only. You don't solve issues with your wife by the silent treatment or keeping malice. Na your marriage dey end be that o!. Don't ever give time for issues to take root in your home, if you are married. Settle it immediately, now, now. Even if you have to fight to settle it, it's allowed. Pastor sef dey fight him wife sometimes. Cos unlike a GF, where you can easily get another, e no be same with wife o. E.g if your wife start keeping late nights without your permission or knowledge, u go give am silent treatment? Guy, quarel am the very first time she try am, so e no go repeat o,or else.... |
