BusinessRe: FG Woos Chinese Investors For National Carrier by Kossyne(m): 9:12am On Jul 04, 2014
Another potential abandoned project, an ample opportunity for a corrupt few to line their piockets with tax payers money. Even if it manages to see the light of the day, it will still be privatised on the long run due to gross mismanagement.

About the Chinese, until I fully understand their role in this development, I will reserve my comment about them.
SportsSuper Eagles Striker, Emmanuel Emenike To Join Chelsea In £15 Million Deal. by Kossyne(op): 1:34pm On Jul 03, 2014
Source:http://news.naij.com/69022.html?new_letter
Despite not having a superb performance for Nigeria at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, latest reports reveal that Chelsea are ready to allow Emmanuel Emenike to join them for €19 million.

Dailymail reports that the English club have been approached by the Turkish club Fenerbahce on the Nigerian star.

Emenike scored 12 goals in 28 league games as Fenerbahce won the Super Lig last season.

Many Nigerian football fans believe the 27-year-old striker played below expectations for the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Nigeria was defeated 2-0 by France on Monday, 30 June, 2014. Their World Cup campaign was ended in the round of 16.

SportsRe: Enyeama Deserves A Honorary Award From The President by Kossyne(m): 7:01pm On Jul 01, 2014
I think Enyeama was phenomenal in this WC and has served Nigeria, I mean he couldn't have done any better.Whether he costs SE their WC dream or not is debateble, afterall there are eleven SE players in that pitch, while single Enyeama out. Enyeama has made more saves than any other goalkeeper in this WC. He may have conceeded 5 goals in 2 matches but Casillas the so called world class goalkeeper conceeded 7 in 2matches. I'm not trying to defend Enyeama's mistakes though.

Now to the issue of awarding National honorary award to him just for doing his job which he's paid to do is what I m not too comfortable with. Honorary awards don't come cheap and you don't get it for serving your country/doing your job. There's other ways to reward him after all he has more than enough awards to last him a lifetime.

SportsRe: Ghana's John Boye Pictured Kissing His Share Of $3 Million Cash Bonus by Kossyne(m): 7:04pm On Jun 29, 2014
Ironi: John Boye and the goalkeeper were useless.

Boye should not be playing the Black Stars. He singlehanded cost Ghana the WC competition.

He gave the US the cheap first goal in the first match and he scored a stupid own goal in the second match. He nearly scored another own goal again.

Boye is a terrible defender.

Very annoying when others kill themselves to play and others screw it up so badly.

Boye should not be kissing his money , he should be castrated.
Get your facts right..Boye scored an own goal against the Portugese which was their third group game not the second.
SportsRe: Greece Players Turn Down World Cup Bonus by Kossyne(m): 6:35pm On Jun 29, 2014
Quite a noble act from the greek, patriotic and commendable I'll say. But I didn't hear the Spanish, or English players rejecting their bonuses or using it for charity, which makes me wonder why some folks are so eager to criticize the SE or other African teams for asking for what's due to them.

Truth be told, the length they went to demand for their bonuses might be a bit extreme, but if they don't do it the hard way, their govt won't budge.

Don't get me wrong. I don't support unpatrotism, but let's put ourselves in the shoes of these guys, would we have acted differently?..Let's not be in a hurry to write off our players or Africans at the slightest provocation. Greed cuts across race, countries, religion, region etc. Its not an African phenomenom.Let's stop acting as if we are next door neighbours to the Devil.

YOU CAN'T EXPECT PEOPLE TO LOVE YOU WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN LOVE YOURSELF

SportsRe: Super Eagles: The Insult Is Beyond Belief by Kossyne(m): 10:14pm On Jun 28, 2014
Maradona: Hi guys, i got this post in Twitter just now.
As I am from abroad but living in Nigeria I have both points of view.

First of all, television is always focused on their public.
Here in Africa, in DSTV per instance, you will see the history of some great African players, the records they have, also their current performance int the EPL or other European leagues. Well, we (and I am from South America) never see this.
There the focus is the players form our country.
There are not much followers of EPL, but you will find much more followers of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, Milan, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain, and preferable their local championship teams.

There they will put the focus on national teams that have won the world cup or those that are showing better performance during the world cup.
Nigeria has done a fantastic work, but let me tell you, only few people know their players.
Some people confuse Ghana with Ivory Coast.
Not to mention Algeria that nobody knows from where they are from.
So, the TV programs address the matters that the people will be interested in hearing.
They prefer to hear about the chances of Chile against Brazil or Colombia against Uruguay, or if Messi scored 2 or 4 goals.

And when some of you mentioned that by wining things (like sending home France) will teach them how good are the African teams, well that is the actually the only solution.
Reaching the higher states in the world cup is the way TV programs will start paying attention on the African teams.

I am here in Nigeria, I know about the quality of players that are born in Africa. And how strong those teams are.
But if you see the results till now, at the group stage, the South Americans qualified 6 teams of 7 that came to the WC.

And everyone knows how marketing is used on TV. They show only what the majority of their public want to see.

All this in my humble opinion.
I think this settles it

If a team like Ghana can upset Germany, I don't think they have much to offer.
